(Masterlist)
“Whatcha doin’?” Win’s Nathan asked, finding Win at the table, a bunch of magazines spread out around her and her laptop in front of her, notepad in her lap.
“Uhm... I figured I’d get started on a list of all the stuff we should probably start thinking about.”
“Thinking about... what?” he asked, tilting his head to look at the magazines—bridal magazines. “Oh, right. That looks like a lot of work.”
“Yeah, and it’ll be a lot easier if we all work together,” she said pointedly.
"Hey there," Lyddie's Nathan came out of the room and immediately ran to see what the fuss was about. "Nice! Our little bride doin' bridal things."
"Guys, you're not gonna believe what happened," Lydia walked in jumping with excitement.
"Look, our not so little bride!" he pulled her in for a kiss.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Look how tall y'are! You're like a cute, sexy giant. C'mere, Winnie is lookin' at wedding stuff."
“Yeah, and the brides are not gunna be th’only ones doing ‘bridal things’,” Win exclaimed, fixing him with a firm look. “This isn’t gunna be one of those weddings where the brides do everything and the grooms just get t’show up. Now what were you saying, Lyds?”
"Well, I was just gonna say they're shooting a movie with Orlando Bloom down the street, but this is much more interesting," Lydia took a seat next to her. "And you better bring your asses over here to help us!"
"Okay, what can I do?" her Nathan grabbed an apple and leaned over the counter.
“Alright alright,” Win’s Nathan agreed, plopping down next to his twin.
“Well, we’ll need to think about who to invite, what we wanna eat, songs for the reception, where we want th’ceremony and when, and a colour scheme or theme... and that’s just the beginnin’,” Winnie sighed.
"We also need to decide what drinks we're gonna have, the cake, first dance, bridesmaids and groomsmen, outfits, pictures, honeymoon..." Lydia continued.
"Jesus Christ, Lollipop!" her Nathan widened his eyes.
"But I suppose we could start with a guest list, a date, and a venue."
“I don’t care when we do it, but I’ve always kinda wanted an outdoor wedding,” Win murmured. “And my guest list is easy...” she said, huffing an empty laugh.
"We decided it'd be best t'leave dad out of it," Lyddie's Nathan announced.
"That's probably a smart idea" Lyds frowned. She really wanted to invite her family, but she had given up on the idea of telling them. "I agree with the outdoor wedding thing, are we waiting until we can go back to England?"
“It might be easier for everyone t’make it unless we wanna pay for a bunch of plane tickets,” Win’s Nathan said.
"You're right," she nodded, grabbing a pen and a napkin. "So your mum and Jeremy, Simon and Alisha, Kelly, Curtis and Nikki. Did I forget anyone?"
Win glanced at the Nathans before looking to Lyddie. “I think you should invite your parents. I mean, obviously you’ll need to tell them about everything, but we can help and so can Simon... I just figured that you actually want your family there, so they should be there."
"My mum's gonna kill me!" Lydia cried, rubbing her eyes nervously. "It's not like she can kick Si out for having powers anymore, but what if she goes public and we all get fucked?"
"Why would she want t'go public when we tell her that if she does that, you'll die?" her Nathan asked. "She's not a bad person is she?"
"No, she's just very strict. And what about young me? What if telling her prevents her from becoming who I am today?"
“I—I dunno...” Win replied, deflating. “I don’t have all the answers, but I just thought...”
“It’ll be okay, Lyds,” Win’s Nathan exclaimed. “I mean, there’s two of me in th’same timeline and if that didn’t stop the world from turnin’, then what could be th’harm?”
"That's true, and who wouldn't wanna become a beautiful broadway bound rock star, about t'marry three very hot people?" Lyddie's Nathan added.
"I'm sorry, Winnie, I didn't mean to snap. It's actually a really nice idea," Lyds ran her fingers through the other woman's hair. "You are so sweet, and I love you so much. I'll call Simon to talk about it later."
“I know you’re scared, but we’re all here for you,” Win murmured, taking her fiancé's hand from her hair to hold, bringing it to her lips.
After a moment she grinned, letting go of Lydia’s hand. “Okay, so that was surprisingly easy, though I’ve made a note that we’ll have to look into outdoor venue spaces. What’s next?”
"If we're having an outdoor wedding, it better be during spring or summer," Lyddie took notes. "Do you guys have any preference for a theme or-?"
"Let's have a superhero wedding!" her Nathan clapped as if that was the most brilliant idea. "Y'know, we're all superheroes and all?"
"Babe, this is a wedding, not a kid's birthday party," she laughed.
“Maybe something music-themed?” Win suggested. “I’m not super picky, but I think it would be fun t’perform together at the reception.”
"Definitely," Lydia smiled. "I'll take any chance to perform with you. It would be nice to have a music theme, like little notes and guitars for decoration."
“Great, that’s settled,” Winnie exclaimed happily, leaning across the counter to steal a kiss from the other woman before settling back in her chair. “Okay, next, reception food?”
"Since it's less than 20 people including us, it would be silly to get a caterer or whatever, I can cook."
"No, you're the bride, you're s'posed t'be spoiled and all that shit," Lyddie's Nathan protested.
“Or we could get pizza,” Win’s Nathan suggested, half-joking.
"That's what I was gonna say!" his clone slammed the counter, he was taking the whole wedding planning a little too seriously.
"Pizza? It's not classy at all, but maybe if we serve it with champagne..." Lyds chuckled.
“Hey, we can make the rules for our wedding,” Win laughed. “If we want pizza and champagne, then who’s to say we can’t?”
"That's why I'm marrying you guys," she sighed. "We need some soda and juice as well, for the designated drivers and for young me, she's not supposed to drink for the first time until you," she pointed at the boys. "Give her booze."
"Okay, wedding party?" Win asked, tapping the back of her pen against her lips.
"Why don't we do it in the flat? Or the rooftop? It would be less glamorous, but it would be easy..." Lyds suggested.
"Sounds perfect," Winnie grinned. "What sort of flowers would you like, Lyddie?" she asked next.
"Bird of paradise flowers are my favorite," she wrote it down. "We could wrap the bouquets in music sheets and guitar strings."
"Sounds lovely," Win murmured, discreetly searching on her laptop what a bird of paradise flower looked like.
"What are your favorite flowers, Winnie? I never got you flowers!" Lydia gasped. "I always get you chocolates."
"I like peonies, but I dunno how well they'd go with everything else..." she admitted.
"We can get it, pink goes with the orange from my flowers and anyone who has seen Wicked knows pink goes with green," Lyddie stoked her fiancé's hair. "I think it's gonna look gorgeous."
"The real question is how are we doin' that thing with the garter?" her Nathan asked. "Am I goin' down on both of you or...?"
"Nathan, come on! Really?" she rolled her eyes with a laugh.
"No, no, th'man's onto somethin' here, askin' the important questions!" Win's Nathan agreed.
"There's no way you two are getting under my dress in front of my mum, dad, brother, and younger self," Lydia mocked.
"It's tradition, Lollipop! D'you really wanna break tradition?" her Nathan cocked an eyebrow.
"We're a quad, we're already breaking tradition... how can you think of doing that in front of your mum? What is Louise gonna say?"
“Honestly, she wouldn’t be all that surprised,” Win’s Nathan exclaimed. “Y’know I think we should take th’garters off with our teeth.”
“I’m down,” Win simply shrugged.
"Fine!" Lyds nodded defeated. She knew she would be embarrassed, but it could be fun. "At least your dad won't be there... we'll get them when we go lingerie shopping for the honeymoon."
“Lingerie shopping, huh?” Win’s Nathan exclaimed, leaning in closer.
“Will I be able to go with you for that?” Win asked, curious.
"Of course, we're going together for this one," Lyddie winked at her. "Just the two of us."
"That's not fair!" her Nathan pouted.
"It's more than fair, it's a surprise for you guys."
“Yeah, and maybe you can surprise us with something,” Win said, grinning impishly, already excited. “Speaking of the Honeymoon, where do we wanna go for that?”
"We wanted t'go somewhere warm, with beaches and all that," Lyddie's Nathan shared a look with his twin. "Like the Caribbean or Greece."
“That sounds lovely. I’ve never been anywhere, so I’m excited just to go,” Win laughed. “But somewhere warm sounds nice. I wanna go sailing.”
"Let's check prices and hotels, and then we can decide," Lydia was happy to see Winnie so excited. "We should probably schedule a cake tasting once we get back."
"Can I do that one?" her Nathan offered.
"We're all going, don't worry," she leaned against his chest.
“This is gunna be the best wedding ever,” Win murmured, feeling her eyes moisten as she looked at her partners. She didn’t like to think of herself as a sentimental type, but who was she kidding?
"It is, babe, cause we're marrying each other," Lyddie kissed the top of her head on the way to the bathroom. "I'm gonna take a quick shower, then we can talk first dance, bachelor and bachelorette parties..."
“Sounds good!” Win called, slouching back in her chair. “This is going surprisingly a lot easier than I anticipated,” she laughed.
"Yeah, seems like it..." Lyddie's Nathan agreed. "Havin' four people helps."
"It sure does," Lyds murmured, glancing at Win's Nathan with a grin before walking into the bathroom.
He grinned back, watching her as she disappeared around the door.
“What was that all about?” Win asked, noticing.
Lyddie's Nathan felt a tiny bit jealous but pushed the thought away, it was silly to be jealous of a look, Lyds loves all of them equally, he knew that much...
"Um, yeah, what's goin' on?"
Win’s Nathan glanced over at Winnie, eyeing the bruise around her neck from the other day, which only seemed darker today.
“Ohhh, nothin’, for once I know somethin’ about Lyddie that neither of you two do,” he gloated.
"Funny, but that's impossible," his clone scoffed dismissively. "I know every little bit of her, inside and out. There's no way, man."
“Oh really? I beg t’differ,” he mused, leaning forward, a mischievous grin playing at his lips. Oh, he was enjoying this.
Win chewed her lip, glancing at the other man. She could see the way his mouth twitch downward and she frowned.
“Well, spit it out already,” she said.
"I bet I already know. She might not even know that I know, but I know..." Lyddie's Nathan looked at his clone defiantly, despite the shadow of insecurity in his voice. "I can get her goin' in my sleep, I know it all."
“Oh? So you know about her daddy kink, then?” Win’s Nathan asked smugly.
Lyddie's Nathan choked on his orange juice, staring in disbelief at his twin.
"What?" he managed to say. "Nah, you're shittin' me, she would've told me..."
“Oho! I knew it! I’m finally the one in th’know for once. She said it was the one kink she managed t’hide from everyone, until she called me daddy in bed yesterday,” Win’s Nathan exclaimed.
"That is- if this is a wind up, I swear t'God..." Lyddie's Nathan felt conflicted. That was insanely hot, but at the same time, why the fuck would she hide it from him? "Lollipop! Lyds!" he called.
"I'll be right out, sweetie," she said, unsuspecting.
“It’s not! I swear!” Win’s Nathan held his hands up.
Winnie groaned, getting up to smack the back of his head as she passed him, heading to the kitchen.
"What's up?" Lydia opened the door with a smile.
"D'you have a daddy kink?" her Nathan asked. He thought going straight to the point would be better, but instead of answering, she widened her eyes and shut the door again.
"Baby!" he knocked again. "C'mon, why didn't y'tell me?"
“This is going well,” Win muttered, pouring herself a drink. “Look what you started,” she hissed at her Nathan who opened his mouth in surprise.
“Me? I just had t’make it even. Specially when you’re walkin' around lookin’ like that! You told me y’didn’t like it rough, but then you go and let him do that kinda shit with yeh,” he threw back at her. “What am I s’posed t’think?”
She turned around to look at him. “Is that what you’re upset about?”
“Yeah... kinda...” he admitted, reaching out to tug at the hem of her shirt.
“Oh, Nathan,” Win huffed. “Come here,” she said, wrapping her arms around him. “I don’t like it rough all th’time... but he’s a little more used t’that cuz that’s how Lyddie likes it. It doesn’t make what we have any less special because we shag differently than I do with him.”
“I guess,” he relented. “I do get t’be a little rough with Lyddie. And I like it when you take charge. I like it a lot.”
“See?” she murmured.
“I just... got a little jealous is all.”
“It happens to th’best of us,” Win laughed, tilting her head up to kiss him. “But you should probably apologize to Lyds for outing her secret.”
“Yeah...” Nathan groaned, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Sweetheart, open the door," Lyddie's Nathan tried to turn the doorknob, but it was locked. "Lyds!"
"There's no Lyds, she jumped out the window! Try again in... 15 years," she shouted.
"That's sad, we're s'posed t'get married soon. And- and I love her."
At these words, she decided to open the door, still burning with embarrassment. He pulled her into a hug, already feeling bad for his approach. "I forgot how shit you are at keeping secrets."
"I think it's hot! You could've told me, babe!" he squeezed her. "You're not upset, are ya?"
"No," she sighed heading to the room to get dressed. "I guess it's on me for expecting Nathan to keep his mouth shut, I know that's physically impossible. That goes for both of you."
"Just so we're clear, does that extend to Winnie? D'you wanna call her mummy or-?"
"No further questions," she blushed even harder.
"Okay, okay, can y'call me...?"
"Yes, Nathan," Lydia came out wearing one of his shirts. "Awesome!"
"I guess so," she sat next to Win and started looking through the magazines, maybe she would find a dress she liked.
“Lyddie...?” Win’s Nathan ventured hesitantly.
"Yes?" she looked up at him, knowing what he was gonna say. She really wasn't upset. After everything that happened the last time, things turned out okay, great even, but she also wasn't thrilled about it.
“Can we talk for a sec?” he asked nervously.
"I wonder what would you possibly wanna talk about..." she took his hand and followed him.
Win shared a look with Lyddie’s Nathan as the two walked out after quickly downing the drink she’d made.
Once they were alone, Win’s Nathan cleared his throat awkwardly. “So... I uhm... look, I’m sorry. I didn’t really think that through...” he admitted, so caught up in the euphoria that he was the first to know something about Lyddie.
"I would hope so," she folded her arms. "It would be pretty shitty of you to think it through and still tell everyone my secret. I know you, I can't say I'm incredibly surprised."
He hung his head. “I just got excited. I should’ve let you tell th’others when you were ready to. I didn’t mean to betray your trust,” he sighed, chancing a glance at her to gauge her reaction. “Forgive me, Lyds?”
Lydia took a deep breath, staring at those sad emeralds of his. She knew he was being sincere, he was the last one to know about every other thing...
"Yes, I forgive you, but," she couldn't resist winding him up just a little. "That'll be a month without shagging me, or seeing me naked, or kissing."
“WHAT?” he exclaimed. “I— You—! Noooooo! Lollipop, c’mon! I’ll get on my knees if y’want me to! You didn’t threaten that to the others me when he told Win your other secret!”
"Aw, you're so cute! I'm just kidding, I love you too much," Lydia giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck, idly playing with his hair. "Besides we both know how easy it is to break me."
At her words, Nathan heaved a giant sigh of relief. “That’s true, you’d be horny 24/7 with how hard I’d be tryin’ to tease you.” He sobered. “I love you, sweetheart.”
"Cocky bastard... I hate it when you're right," she shook her head before gently kissing his neck. "You guys can come back! It's all sorted!"
“All good?” Win asked, lifting her head from Lyddie’s Nathan’s shoulder where they’d gone to sit on the couch while they waited.
"All perfect," Lyds sat back down, pulling Win's Nathan with her so she could rest her legs on his thighs and her head on his shoulder
“Good, I’m glad,” Winnie quipped, pressing a kiss to her Nathan’s jaw and then doing the same to the other one. “We were getting worried.”
"Are there any other kinks y'wanna disclose before somethin' like this happens again?" Lyddie's Nathan asked.
She thought about it for a few moments, silently counting them on her fingers. "No, I think that's everything that I know of."
“Maybe I have some undisclosed kinks, you never know,” Win teased. “Now do we wanna plan some more or take a break for the day?”
"Wait! Can't just throw this at us like that, Winnie!" Lyddie's Nathan freaked out. "What is it?"
"Yeah, no kidding! I didn't think you had a lot of kinks," her Nathan exclaimed, sitting up straighter.
"Whatever is good for you, babe," Lydia ignored his desperate attempts.
"Hmm... I think I'd like to plan a little more," she answered, doing the same. She didn't really have any other major kinks, at least she didn't think so. The choking thing was new. But she liked teasing them.
"Yeah, sounds good. I know it might be a little out there, but how about we do a four-way first dance? We could think of a song that is special for all of us" Lydia was really enjoying this, the boys did deserve it.
"Wait, you're really gunna just leave us hangin' like that?" Win's Nathan exclaimed with an incredulous frown.
"Oh, I like that idea," Winnie exclaimed over him. "What's a song we all relate to though," she mused, wracking her brain.
"Boys, you're supposed to help us!" Lyds tilted her head. "Come on, what song do you guys think would be nice? There's a song from the future called Crazy Lucky by Better Than Ezra, I think would be nice..."
"Winnie! Tell us, please?" Lyddie's Nathan pouted. "We really wanna know, right Lollipop? Aren't you curious too?"
"Not really, I already know," she winked at her and went back to writing down songs.
"Oh, I like that song, that's a good one," Win murmured.
"Wait, Lyddie knows but not us?" Win's Nathan exclaimed.
Finally, she rolled her eyes and looked up. "Boys, can we focus here? If you wanna figure out my kinks, you can do it in the bedroom, but we're kinda busy right now."
"Fine, that song is a little cheesy. Get the one from your first album about the night changin', I like that one," Lyddie's Nathan huffed.
"Nathan Young wants to dance to a One Direction song at our wedding? Didn't have that one in my new timeline bingo card," Lydia joked.
"That one went over my head," Win laughed.
"Those kids from X Factor, in the next few years they become the new Backstreet Boys, maybe even bigger. My song, Night Changes, it's theirs," Lyddie whispered.
"It's a cool song..." her Nathan mumbled.
"Ahhh, okay," Winnie mused. "Well, I'm sure you sing it better than they would anyway," she said with a grin.
"You're too sweet," Lydia chuckled. "We're gonna find the perfect song, that's what we're good at."
“Yeah! You two know more about music than anyone,” Win’s Nathan exclaimed.
"Thanks, babe, we'll put a pin on that. Now, you two are probably gonna make your own tuxes, Winnie can make her own dress too, I'll find somewhere to buy mine," Lydia looked over at the boys. "Did you guys plan anything for the bachelor party?"
“We wanna smoke cigars and play some poker. Y’know, classy," he replied.
"Well I sure hope there are no strippers involved..." she gave them a pointed look. "And definitely no using your powers to cheat! We won't be there to help you do basic math like I did in Vegas."
“Vegas?” Win exclaimed, worried, remembering the last time they went. Til she remembered Nathan’s lifetime ban was in their universe, not this one. “Yeah, please don’t get arrested... again. And seconded on the strippers.”
“What? Course not, love. Wouldn’t dream of it,” her Nathan gasped.
"I'm impressed with how little faith y'have in us... we're angels!" Lyddie's Nathan frowned dramatically. "What are the ladies plannin', huh?"
"I actually didn't think of it yet, what do you wanna do, Winnie?" Lydia asked.
“I haven’t really either,” she answered. “Maybe go out clubbing? Or a big sleepover with the girls?”
"We could do both," Lyddie grinned. "First we hit the club, then we get some food, watch some chick-flicks, I'll finger you under the blankets... you know, wholesome fun night."
“Mmm sounds perfect,” Winnie murmured, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
“Whoa whoa whoa, we’re not allowed to have strippers, but you get t’finger each other at your party? How is that fair?” Win’s Nathan gasped.
"We're engaged! It's not even remotely the same thing," Lydia laughed. "I was gonna suggest we leave you guys a little video as a pre-wedding gift, but if you'd rather watch strippers..."
"No! I'll take the video!" her Nathan interrupted.
“I changed my mind! I want a video too please!” Win’s Nathan was quick to assure them. “All I meant was, it doesn’t seem fair that you two get some when we won’t be,” he grumbled, sullenly.
“Oh my God, Nathan,” Win laughed. “As if you two don’t get some basically every day,” she pointed out.
"So do you! Sometimes without us!" Lyddie's Nathan furrowed his brows.
"Poor babies," Lydia hugged Win's Nathan tightly. "Don't worry, we'll make something very special for you, I'm sure you're gonna love it."
“I mean, if you two wanna shag each other be our guest,” Winnie teased, poking Lyddie’s Nathan in the side. “I think it’s all pretty even. You’re definitely not sex starved by any means.”
"Jesus no!" he jumped, remembering the unfortunate accident from the other day. "I know I'm handsome, but I'll pass!"
"You got a little jittery, babes, is there something you wanna tell us?" Lydia taunted.
"NO! I'm fine!"
“Wait, did something happen?” Win asked, looking between the two men suspiciously. “I mean, you’re all for talking about other people’s secrets...”
"Of course not! That'd be so weird, how can you even think that? Right?" Lyddie's Nathan looked at his twin, terrified.
"Sounds sketchy to me," Lyds muttered.
“It’s not sketchy. Nothin’ happened! We’re like brothers, how could yeh even imply that?” Win’s Nathan exclaimed, scandalized.
"Okay..." Lydia tried not to laugh at how bothered they got. "If you say so... I believe you."
"Great! Can we talk about somethin' else then?" her Nathan groaned.

She looks good on paper, but I'm a fucking mess
She's got her shit together, I won't lie I'm impressed
But even though she's beautiful and perfect
It's only on the surface
Yeah, it's true
She looks good on paper, but I look good on you

"Mummy!" a voice called from the third floor.
Blossom looked up from the sidewalk below.  "I’m coming up baby, stay away from the window!  Ask daddy to lock it, okay? It's too cold," she called to her daughter.  She was heading back from the grocery store–their last chance to stock the house before the snow kept them inside for the rest of the night, and she promised to bring panetones when they went to England for Christmas.
"Hey, welcome back, darlin'," Sean exclaimed, bending to lift Simone in his arms so they could both look down on the sidewalk below. "We missed yeh!"
"I missed you too!"  Blossom took the stairs and walked into the quad's old flat, the one they’d passed down to the couple after the twins arrived.  "Mum is freezing, let's turn up the heating, alright?" she said, shivering as she shut the door behind her.
"How about this, ey?" Sean asked, meeting her as she entered and wrapping her in his arms. "Feel warmer yet?"
"Hmmm I do," Blossom mused, dropping the groceries and kissing him gently before taking their daughter in her arms. "Are you excited to see everyone? Grandad and Grandma, your uncles and aunties, your cousins..."
"Yes!" Simone cheered, throwing her little hands up in the air. "I wanna make a gingerbread house!"
"We'll get started on that after we get these groceries put away, okay darlin'?" Sean asked, kissing the top of Simone's head before picking up the grocery bags and carrying them to the kitchen.
"Thanks, sweetie, such a gentleman," Blossom took off her jacket before pulling their daughter with her to the couch.
"Can we also make cookies for the rest of the family?" she asked.
"Of course, Moony, you can decorate them."
"Good, cause I'm hungry for cookies," Sean laughed, opening the fridge.
"Just cookies? I'm hungry for something else," Blossom whispered, embracing him from behind as Simone watched the beginning of Home Alone on the telly.
"Oh, you're incorrigible," Sean chuckled, turning to steal a kiss. "If you're a good girl, I'm sure Santa'll bring yeh somethin' nice," he teased.
"Don't you know I'm always a good girl?" Blossom whined, running her hands down his chest. "Lydia said she could take Simone for the weekend after Christmas... we can order food and watch movies before shagging each other's brains out like we used to."
"Sounds perfect. Your sister's a lifesaver," Sean groaned, copping a quick feel, giving her arse a brief squeeze.
"I know right? She really misses the little gremlin and Moony misses her cousins too... so everyone's happy," Blossom smirked, going in for another kiss. "Let's get started on those cookies while she's distracted."
"Yes, ma'am," Sean replied, extricating himself from his wife and finding the ingredients they'd need. "Is this one of your family's recipes?" he asked.
"Yeah, I've been making these ever since I was Simone's age. Simon was the most moody teen, but he always helped me."  Blossom quickly sliced a banana and offered it to Simone. "Here, baby, while the cookies are baking."
"Thanks, mummy," she smiled, grabbing one of the slices with her fingers.
By the time Blossom had returned, Sean had gotten the dry ingredients together and was beginning to fold in the wet; unaware of the smudge of flour on his cheek as he worked, closely following his wife’s recipe, pausing to reread it a third time.
"Sweetheart... do you have any idea how cute you look right now?" Blossom giggled, licking her thumb before cleaning the flour from his face. "You're so concentrated, I love to watch you cook."
"What?" Sean chuckled, finally realizing what had happened. "I just wanna make sure I get everythin' right."
"I know, it's just adorable," Blossom opened one of the drawers to pick the cutters in different shapes and sizes. "I'm lucky to have you."
"I'm th'lucky one, darlin'," Sean countered, grinning warmly at her as he began to knead the dough. "I thought I'd lost you forever at one point."
"As if I'd ever let that happen... I saved one of Jamie’s pills because I knew I'd find a way back. The other me is happy, and I'm happy," she pressed her lips to the back of his neck. "There's no life for me without you in it."
"I'm glad you're both happy," Sean murmured, turning his face to catch her lips. "I don't think I could live with myself if you were unhappy because of me."
"You can never make me unhappy.  When you pushed me to go I was angry, I asked myself why you didn't wanna keep me, but now I get it," Blossom smiled, caressing his cheeks.
"I'm glad y'understand," he said, leaning into her touch. "So, y'ready t'roll the dough out and start cutting shapes?"
"Yeah, let me just get Moon–" Blossom leaned over the counter and saw their daughter sleeping on the couch. "Do I wake her up? Or should we wait until it's time to decorate it?"
"Let's let her sleep for now," Sean decided. "She'll probably lose interest if she did both, and I have a feelin' she'd be more interested in decorating 'em instead."
"That's true, and she looks so cute..." Blossom rushed to cover her with a blanket before getting back to the cookies. "Guess it's mummy and daddy time."
"She looks so much like you," Sean murmured, smiling softly, affection clutching his heart. "I'll never complain about mummy and daddy alone time," he joked, laying out a thin layer of flour.
"She has your hair and your gorgeous eyes," Blossom countered, grabbing a beer bottle and a rolling pin so they could work together. "But I agree, I like having some alone time with daddy."
"Best of both worlds," Sean agreed, bumping his hips against hers playfully as he worked, before turning to put a streak of flour on her nose.
"How dare you!" Blossom exclaimed playfully in a hushed voice so she wouldn't wake the little one up. "You're done!" She grabbed a tiny handful of flour and threw it at him, watching it fly through the air.
"Why y'little–!" Sean gasped, a laugh bursting from him before he picked her up around the middle and hoisted her up over his shoulder, leaving floury handprints across her bum.
"Sean! What are you doing?" Blossom waved her legs in the air. "I won't do it again, I promise, I'm sorry," she giggled.
"You should be sorry," he teased, setting her down and stealing a kiss, his tongue exploring her mouth for a moment.
"Hmm terribly sorry..." Blossom smirked, wrapping her arms around his neck. "But I am pretty happy with the results. I can't wait to have the flat for ourselves so we can be loud."
Sean groaned. "Oh, you have no idea," he agreed. "As much as I love Moony, I miss havin' alone time." Giving her arse one last squeeze, he turned back to the counter. "Which shape's your favourite?" he asked, gesturing to the cookie cutters.
"Ugh I know what you mean,” she groaned quietly, joining him at the counter.  “I like stars.  I like to eat the icing, then eat each of the points before eating the middle, it's a ritual," Blossom explained. "What's yours?"
"I'm partial to th'little Christmas trees," Sean replied, picking up the star cutter, wanting to make sure Blossom got plenty of star shaped cookies. "I like puttin' little red hots on 'em to look like little Christmas baubles."
"Aww that is so cute!" Blossom grinned, imagining little Sean decorating his gingerbread trees. That thought made her heart melt with affection. "I love to learn new things about you, sometimes it feels like I know it all already."
"I'm a man of many layers," Sean teased, winking at her as he transferred the cookies he'd cut out to the cookie sheet.
"So you're like an onion or an ogre, you're Shrek!" Blossom laughed, carefully filling her own baking sheet.
"I've always thought I was more of a parfait," he laughed, putting his first full baking sheet in the oven.
"Maybe to everyone else you are a perfect parfait prince, but I've lived with you for over twenty years... you're an ogre," Blossom chuckled. "At least sometimes."
"Fair enough," he shrugged.
"I love both parts of you," Blossom murmured, adding her cookies to the oven and setting a timer.
Sean pressed a kiss to her forehead as their child began to stir.
"Look, there's a princess on the couch," Blossom set the rest of the dough aside.
"You're all messy," Simone laughed, rubbing at her eyes. "What happened?"
"A battle! Daddy and I battled in the kitchen."
"Daddy won," Sean exclaimed smugly. "You wanna help us decorate the cookies when they're done baking?"
"Mummy let daddy win," Blossom laughed, dusting the flour from her ass.
"How much longer?" Simone asked, still giggling at their antics.
"They have to bake and then cool, so about forty minutes," Blossom explained, joining the girl and curling her finger, motioning for Sean to come as well.
Sean shook the leftover flour from his hair and went to join them, plopping down on the couch next to his daughter.
"How long is forty minutes?" Simone asked.
"Hmmm it's about one and a half episodes of Clifford," Blossom said, kissing the top of her head while stroking her husband's hair. "But you'll see, it'll be quick."
True to Blossom's words, it wasn't long until the timer dinged. "D'yeh hear that? I think they're done," Sean said.
"I wanna eat 'em!" Simone jumped.
"We're almost ready to eat them," Blossom said, slipping her hand into an oven mitt. "I'll put them in the fridge while I make the icing."
"Fiiiine," the girl sighed, climbing in her father's lap, laying on his chest. "We can wait."
"Daddy's girl..." Blossom taunted with a grin.
"And you love it," Sean teased, winking at Blossom across the room as he patted Simone on the back, letting her get comfy.
"Just once I wish she'd call me when she has a nightmare, but you two are too cute," Blossom mused as she mixed the butter icing in a little bowl.
"Wanna help me get all the sprinkles out and set up our decoration station at th'table?" Sean asked, getting up and lifting Simone with him.
"Uh huh!"  She reached for the cupboard now that she could reach it. "Are we havin' cookies for dinner?"
"No, we're–damn it, I forgot about dinner," Blossom cried, leaning against the fridge.
"It's okay, I'll have somethin' delivered," Sean assured her, kissing her temple before reaching for his cell phone, still holding Simone. "What d'you girls want?"
"Pizza!" Simone shouted.
"Pizza isn't for school nights, but we're on break, so go ahead," Blossom smiled, distributing the icing in little bags to pipe. "I want onions and olives please."
"You got it. Moony, how about you, darlin'?"
"Pepperoni please!"  She climbed down onto a chair to watch. "And Sprite."
"Go crazy, sweetie, let's order some garlic knots too," Blossom added.
"Yes, ma'am," Sean nodded, dialing their usual shop. "Alright, it'll be here in an hour," he said, setting his phone back on the counter. "Looks like we'll have enough time t'decorate before the food gets here."
After a few minutes cooling, Blossom got the cookies out of the fridge and placed them on the table. "Okay, let's make them pretty and after dinner we can eat some," she gave each of them a little piping bag.
"Can I have just one before dinner?" Simone asked hopefully. "Just a tiny one."
"Yeah, okay, just don't spoil your appetite with cookies."
"What's your favourite shape, sweetheart?" Sean asked, watching over her little shoulder.
"Hearts! This way when I give 'em out, people can feel my love."  Simone looked up before drawing a little smiling face with icing on the first heart-shaped cookie.
"Aren'tcha just the sweetest?" Sean chuckled, kissing the top of her head before sharing a fond look with Blossom.
"So cute, we love you so much," Blossom smiled, bursting with pride each time Moony said something like that.
"She's definitely her mother's daughter," he murmured, grinning to himself as he got back to focusing on his own cookies, liberally sprinkling them with green sanding sugar.
"Aww sweetie! You're also responsible for it, you're the kindest person I've ever met," Blossom murmured, dipping her stars in colorful sprinkles.
"We turned out t'be pretty good at this parenting thing, huh?" he murmured.
"We did... I would never imagine, I was the last person I ever thought would be a good mum," she laughed.
"You're the best mum! If I could pick from a bunch of mummies, I'd still choose you," Simone insisted, upset by the idea that Blossom didn't think so.
"I agree, she is th'best," Sean agreed.
"But daddy's the best too, right? He's a really good father," Blossom gently ran her bare foot up and down his leg.
"Yeah, you're both the best," Simone nodded.
Sean gave Blossom a look as he felt her foot slide against his leg. "Glad that's settled then. You're doin' such a great job decoratin', Moony."
"You are! Everyone's gonna love them, I hope you make a couple for us," Blossom pouted, not at all acknowledging the look her husband gave her.
"'Course I will!"
——
"Do you think we have enough food?" Lydia asked as she finished setting up the table with her father.
"Y'have food for a fuckin' army," Nate laughed, carrying one twin on each arm.
"Don't worry, if we run out, you can just make more," Simon suggested, watching his son, Darren, assemble a lego car.
“Stop worryin’, everythin’s gunna be fine,” Nats assured her, wrapping his arm around her from behind.
“Blossom and Sean should be here any minute,” Win called, checking the time on the grandfather clock in the dining room.
"Will you ring for us?" Blossom asked, lifting Simone so she could reach it. "Don't forget to give everyone the cookies we made for them."
"I won't," she assured, ringing the buzzer.
“They’re here!” Win called, hurrying to open the door.
“I wanna see cousin Simone!” Charlie cried, struggling to get out of his dad’s grasp and run to the door with his mother.
"Simmi!" Ellery also jumped, followed by Darren as well. "We missed you!"
"I missed you too!" Simone ran to hug them. "I brought cookies!"
"Hey there you two," Lydia pulled her sister and brother-in-law inside.
“Hey there!” Sean chuckled, embracing Lydia and then Win. “It looks and smells amazin’ in here!”
“Me and Lyds have been cooking all day, with dad’s help,” Win said, beaming at the praise.
"We hope you like it," Lydia hugged her sister next. "You really need to get a place here, spend some time in your home country, Blossom!"
"And the school? I can't just leave the kids," she laughed.
"Retire, money isn't the issue," Nate squished her cheeks, still seeing her as a little sister.
“I think she enjoys teachin’ though,” Sean said, watching the children all run into the other room excitedly.
"I do, I love teaching, but maybe we could think of getting a little flat here for weekends and holidays. Maybe one next to the Centre," Blossom mused, getting back up after greeting her nephews and niece.
"We miss you a lot, you only come home for Christmas and birthdays lately," Charles frowned.
“I think we could afford a little two bedroom flat,” Sean mused.
"I bet Moony would be happy to be closer to family," Blossom agreed. "And I would too."
"It's settled, then," Sean grinned.
"Come on in, d'yeh want a drink?" Win asked, ushering them further into the house.
"Yes, please!" Blossom took a seat by the table and grabbed a few mince pies for herself while Nate poured her a glass of bubbly. "I've been starving all day."
"Oh? Does someone have another bun in the oven?" he asked.
"No, you twat," she laughed, swatting at him. "Th’other me went to a steakhouse and I could see it, I could smell it, I could taste it... but it wasn't very filling."
"How's she doin' anyway? Th'other you?" Nats asked, plopping down across from her at the table.
"She's great, right now she's thirty two, I think. She's doing an open run for the revival of the Spring Awakening and she's still super in love with all her partners. Young Lydia from her timeline wanted to go back earlier, so she duplicated before. This way Sean from that timeline can still be with her. There are so many of me, I honestly get confused sometimes," Blossom chuckled. "What I do know is that her Nats is still kinda jealous of my Sean sometimes."
Win looked over at Nats with a smirk. "Sounds about right."
"Hey!" he yelped. "I'm not jealous... any more!"
"Yeah, we don't wanna kill 'im. He gave us Simone, how can we hate 'im?" Nate tapped Sean's shoulder. "Almost makes me forget he stole my little Blossom."
"Your little Blossom is forty," she teased as Lydia served Sean a drink and some dinner as well. "And unlike you, I look it."
"Mama!" Charles exclaimed, running over to Win. "If Auntie Blossom is forty, how old are you?" he asked, looking up at her curiously.
"Mama is forty eight, your dads and I are forty seven," Lydia explained as she fixed his curls.
"You're older than aunt Blossom, but you look younger," Ellery commented as she climbed on a chair.
"Wow, thanks," Blossom snorted.
"Yeah, that's cause Dada and Daddy are immortal," Nats exclaimed, picking little Charlie up to set on his knee.
"That's not fair," Simone frowned.
"I chose to not be immortal, baby, I wanted to age with daddy," Blossom took his hand. "Aging can be good, I like it."
"Does that mean you'll never get any older?" Charlie asked, wide eyed.
"Yeah, we'll stay young and handsome forever," Nate kissed the top of his head. "Don't worry 'bout auntie Blossom or anyone else, we can turn them back whenever they want. Make 'em young again with magic."
"You can really do that?" Charlie asked, his little green eyes, if possible, growing even wider in awe.
"'Course we can, we can do almost anything," Nate smiled, finally feeling like a superhero.
"Does that mean nobody's gonna die?" Ellery asked.
"Not if they don't want to."
“Wow,” Charlie breathed. “Dada and Daddy are so cool.”
“Your mums are just as cool too,” Nats reminded him, mussing his curls.
"That's true, I can cure anything and I can make you fly... I'm an exceptional Marco Polo player," Lydia laughed. "And your mama is like a mixture of it all, she can do all of it."
"I think you're cool too, Daddy," Simone whispered, knowing her father was one of the only ones with no powers.
“You’re sweet, m’love,” Sean murmured, crouching down to give his daughter a hug.
"Let's sit down, everyone, while the food is still hot," Charles exclaimed, bending to give each of his grandkids a kiss on the forehead.
"You know, now that you mentioned getting a flat around here... I remembered this thing, but I probably shouldn't say it," Lydia murmured as she helped Ellery sit properly.
"What? What is it?" Blossom frowned.
“Yeah, what’s th’matter?” Nats asked, frowning as he turned to look at his wife.
"Well... there's a revival of Beetlejuice happening soon on the West End. I wanted to audition, but they already have a Lydia and I'm too ‘young’ to play Delia or Barbara," Lydia said casually, cutting the food in little pieces for her son while Nate did the same for Ellie.
"Delia... Are you suggesting I audition?" Blossom nearly choked. It had been ages since she performed for real, but of course she missed it sometimes.
“You totally should!” Win exclaimed. “It’s been a while since we’ve gotten to see you on stage.”
"B-but my job... I mean, I could probably take a sabbatical and they have options for online classes, but what about Sean's job if I pass? Or Moony's school?" Blossom looked over at her husband. She didn't want to force them to move around like the quad, but the idea of being in a musical again was so exciting.
“It’s definitely somethin’ t’talk about,” Sean said, reaching for her hand atop the table. “It’s not like I can’t freelance anywhere,” he added.
"And the twins' school is great," Lydia added. "They're very flexible with parents who move around a lot, and the kids love it."
"I want Simmi to study with us!" Ellie clapped excitedly.
“Yeah!  It would be so cool to see Simmi every day!” Charlie cried excitedly, practically vibrating.
"I want to! Can I, Mummy?" Simone asked.
"I’ll audition... if I pass then I guess we can spend some time in England," Blossom grinned, shaking her head fondly. "But don't expect too much, I might not pass."
"Good, you're already startin' t'lose your accent," Nats teased, shoving a mouthful of food in his mouth.
"How dare you? Wanker!" Blossom gasped dramatically. "I'm a bloody Londoner, I bleed in red and white."
"No cursing in front of the kids," Linda laughed.
"What's a wanker?" Charlie asked so innocently that Nats had to stifle his laughter.
"It's your daddy's nickname from when we were young. Eeeeeveryone called him that," Lydia giggled.
"Everyone called Dada a twat in the videos we've seen, is that his nickname?" Ellery asked and Nate snorted.
"Yeah, but it's not a nickname for kids t'use," Win said, smirking, afraid the kids would all start calling Nate and Nats twat and wanker.
"Why not?" Simone asked. "Because you don't call uncle Simon Barry, so for now let's just use the nicknames we already have," Nate explained.
Charlie nodded sagely. "Yes, Mama, we won't say those bad words."
"How cute is this kid?" Nats chuckled.
"I don't know where he got it from," Lydia sighed, so proud of their boy. "But all of you are cute, I love all of you the same."
"Good, I was about to be very sad," Ellie breathed.
"Are we allowed to use the new nicknames when we're older?" Darren asked, looking at his mum.
"Of course, sweetie, I'm sure your uncles will be very happy," Alisha smiled.

Dear Gentle Reader,

❝And what are your plans for the day, brother?” Nats asked as Nate joined them at the breakfast table.
"I don't know... take my horse for my ride?  Maybe look for some new young ladies at the park, allow Miss Lewis to miss me.  Do you have any specific plans?"
Nats rolled his eyes, but couldn’t help the grin that tugged at his lips. “I thought I might call on Miss Bellamy,” he admitted.
“I was thinkin’ the same,” Sean murmured, taking a sip of his tea.
“So, you two found some young ladies that have caught your interest then?” their mother exclaimed, perking up at the thought.
"Oh for sure, mama!  They were smitten, completely enchanted by these two sisters.  The two looked quite similar despite their age gap, except one of them behaved herself as if the ballroom was a boxing match," Nate snorted before taking a large bite of his apple.
Louise’s expression darkened for a moment as she glanced at Nathan. “I heard that you had a hand in that as well,” she said, lifting the newest edition of Whistledown’s scandal paper. Perhaps it would do well for me to meet this family soon,” she mused.
"You know your boy, Mama, I'm an angel!" Nate smirked before getting up. "Now If you'll excuse me, the dowager Lady Trowbridge and I have a conversation to finish."
Deciding to indulge Lady Trowbridge, Nathan joined her and the young lord for a promenade.  He was usually luckier with widows; it would be ridiculously easy to have her, but the one he was truly hoping to run into was Miss Lewis.
Out in the park, Win sullenly followed after her step mother, begrudgingly staying in stride with her step sister.
"Hoping to run into anyone today, Winrey?" Delilah asked pointedly, her gaze scouring the other faces out promenading.
"No, just glad for the fresh air," Win countered, trying not to let Delilah's jab get to her. "I'm surprised no gentlemen have come to call on you today, especially after dancing with so many last night," she taunted, her lips twitching at the way Delilah bristled.
However, Win did a double take when she espied Lady Trowbridge on the arm of one Nathan Young and her lips pressed into a thin line at the sight.
"I am talking to you!  What are you staring at—?" Delilah snapped, turning to follow Win's line of sight.  "Oh, one of the new gentlemen to join Mayfair," she mused, looking Nathan over with a look that Win didn't care for.  "I didn't get a chance to dance with any of them last night..."
Nate simply waved at Win from across the park with a roguish grin and tipped his top hat.  Oh, but she looked furious... and he couldn't be happier about it.  Everything was working according to his plan.
"Oh, piss off," Win muttered under her breath, hastening her steps to get ahead of her step sister while pointedly tearing her eyes from Mr. Young.  Finding a spot beneath a shady tree, she settled onto the deserted bench to read.
"Lovely afternoon, is it not, Miss Lewis?" Nate asked, standing behind her.  "May I join you?"
“I thought you were escorting Lady Trowbridge,” Win said, not bothering to look up from her book.
"She had to tend to the little Lord, he's bein' fussy," Nate chuckled.  "I did not think you would even notice my presence, I thought there was nothing about me worthy of notice," he teased, using her words from the night before against her.
Win scowled, silently cursing herself.  "I didn't,” she snapped.  “I merely noticed Lady Trowbridge's lovely new dress and happened to see you with her."
"I see... interesting of you to say you liked her dress, your face gave me a different idea.  Indeed, you seemed displeased.”  Nate sat down next to her, taking his hat off and shaking out his curls.
Win tried her best to ignore him. "I don't remember giving you permission to join me," she said, turning the page of her book.
"Would you like me to leave?" Nate asked innocently, his hand brushing her shoulder as he leaned back against the back of the bench.  "I could leave, but I'm afraid our conversation would be much more interesting than the one I would have with Lady Trowbridge."
Win bit her lip, weighing her options.  On one hand, she didn't really want him to leave.  On the other, she didn't want that to go to his head and have him think she was in the palm of his hand.
"And what might we converse about, my Lord?" she asked, avoiding his question, her gaze flicking over to him, admiring his profile for a moment.
The response was a victory in Nathan’s book and he grinned even wider.  "I don't know, maybe I should start by apologizin' for last night.  I did not mean to be so... abrasive."
Again, Win deliberated.  Speaking with him was like playing a game of chess.
"I suppose I acted rather rashly myself," she conceded.  "But I wish you would answer me truly.  Do you have any intent to find a wife?" she asked.
"I have never found a lady that made me think of marriage before.  I don't precisely plan on finding a wife, but... I'm also not against marriage," Nate admitted.  It was true; he just didn't want to rush like his father and make the same mistakes he had.
"I… feel the same," Win admitted, setting her book down to actually look at him.  "That is why I haven't yet accepted anyone's hand.  I want to find someone who... stimulates me," she murmured, her lips twitching mischievously.
"I can definitely stimulate you, that is for sure," Nathan's voice dropped and he leaned closer slightly.  "I've been told I'm quite good at stimulating young ladies," he joked.
Win laughed, throwing her head back and attracting some stares from passersby.  "Oh, I'm sure you could, my Lord," she replied, leaning in as well before pulling back, her face warming.  "Except as you just admitted, who will say if you will stay?  I feel you are the type to bore easily."
"Usually I am, but you challenge me.  I've never been challenged by a lady before.  They are always so happy just to attract my attentions..." Nate shrugged, he couldn't make any promises, but he hadn’t feel the need to dance with any other young lady after Win had left the night before.
"Never?" Win gasped, tilting her head.
"No, I am used to having my way with impressionable young ladies who know no better or older ladies who have just lost their husbands," Nate said out loud for the first time.
Win blinked at him, surprised at his candor.  "Does that truly make you happy, my Lord?"
"It does not make me sad... I never truly stopped to think about what makes me happy," Nate frowned in thought.
"Well, maybe you should," Win said, noticing Delilah heading their way. "Shit..." she swore under her breath as her step sister neared.
"Winrey, there are you.  And who is this, you've been entertaining, unchaperoned?" she asked with a smirk, looking Nathan up and down with interest.
"We are in a very public park," Win shot back, gesturing to those nearby. "I would hardly call that unchaperoned."
"Not even with my biggest efforts would I be able to hide any improper acts in front of all these people," Nate chuckled.  He had spotted this particular lady at the ball, but she seemed so high in her in-step, it was laughable.
"Well, aren't you going to introduce me?" Delilah exclaimed expectantly, placing her hands on her hips, and Win rolled her eyes.
"Mr. Young, this is my step-sister, Delilah Edwards.  Delilah, this is Mr. Nathan Young, of Ireland."
"Hello, Miss Edwards," Nate murmured, making no effort to take her hand, eager to show Win he wasn't interested in impressing any other ladies.  Delilah frowned when he ignored her outstretched hand and Win had to quickly stifle her amusement behind her own gloved hand.
"Delilah, Winrey!  We are leaving!" Lady Karen called, ushering for them to follow. Win let out a sigh and reluctantly stood.
"Will I see you tonight?" she asked quietly.
"Most definitely," Nate nodded, sparing Win a flirty wink as she left, just as Lady Trowbridge returned, carrying her son.
"Apologies, I did not mean to keep you waiting, my Lord" she said, taking the seat Win had just vacated and Win's grin slipped, but she quickly schooled her expression and followed her step sister.
"I'm going to ask him to dance tonight," Delilah exclaimed matter of factly, glancing over her shoulder as they departed.
"You do that," Win huffed, not bothering to look back.

"I hear someone caused a scene last night... again," Lady Bellamy scolded once Lydia finally left her room. "When will you learn?"
"In her defense, the young man was incredibly disrespectful towards Winrey," Lord Bellamy said, stroking his daughter's hair. "She did dance with a gentleman, and she was the picture of candure."
"That is good news.  Let's hope this gentleman decides to call on you today!"
"You have callers, ma'am," one of the servants announced as the Bellamys gathered in the drawing room, Lydia playing the pianoforte while Blossom accompanied her with the violin. "The Youngs are here."
"Let them in!" Lady Bellamy exclaimed.  "And make sure we have plenty of biscuits and tea for our guests!"
"Good afternoon, Lord Bellamy, Lady Bellamy," Sean said, bowing his head as he led his family, sans Nathan, into the Bellamy drawing room. "Miss Bellamy, Miss Blossom," he added, flashing her a smile.
"Good afternoon!” Lord Bellamy rushed to shake his hand and introduce himself to their mama. "Please join us, tea should be here any moment."
"These handsome boys must be the ones I've been reading about.  I'm delighted to finally meet you," Lady Bellamy greeted.  "I must congratulate you, Lady Young."
"Why thank you, Lady Bellamy, and I must congratulate you on your beautiful family as well," Louise exclaimed, taking a seat at the table with her. "It seems two of my sons have expressed interest in your daughters.  Perhaps we have much to talk of," she mused, accepting the cup of tea from a servant.
"Seems like it, I am not surprised to see Blossom's heart being stolen, but my Lydia... she is one sharp lady, very strong-minded," Lady Bellamy laughed.  "You can not imagine how pleased I am."
"How are you feeling today, Miss Blossom?" Sean asked, offering her a bouquet of flowers.
"Much improved, my lord," Blossom accepted the flowers and brought them closer to take in the scent. "Thank you so much, they are so beautiful."
“Ah, I am so glad t’hear that,” Sean murmured, watching her with a dreamlike expression on his face.
"Miss Lydia," Nats greeted, tipping his hat to her before taking it off.  "I hope my twin’s awful personality did not tarnish your evening last night," he said, hoping to charm her with a roguish grin of his own.
"I do not believe Mr. Nathan has that sort of power, not after you were so kind and brought back so many memories I hold dear," Lydia smiled, her heart fluttering.
"You've no idea how glad I am t'hear that," Nats sighed, gulping down the entire cup of tea set before him.
"I hoped you would visit today, after we were interrupted last night," Lydia picked up a biscuit as she took a sip of her tea.
“Course!” Nats exclaimed before reigning himself in, quickly covering his mouth as a bubble of air escaped his lips.
"Perhaps we should set up a match?" Louise murmured, her eyes flicking over to their children speaking across the room.
"Perhaps... Can you imagine, Charles, both of our girls married—Blossom finding her husband her very first season?  It is a dream come true, Lady Young!" Lady Bellamy exclaimed.
“It seems even this Lady Whistledown has noticed,” Louise said, opening the papers.  “Just think, my Sean and your Lydia, and my Nathaniel and your Blossom,” she mused, failing to notice Lady Whistledown’s mistake.
"Wait, that's not how–" Charles exclaimed with a grimace, remembering the night before and which couples had danced together.
"Perfect!" Linda interrupted his train of thought. "Look at them, they all get along!  Whenever they have children we can all spend the holidays together.  We’ll have the most beautiful family!"
Lydia covered her face to quiet her laughter.  If Win was here she would tease me to no end, she would make a point to point out the redness on my cheeks...
Meanwhile Blossom nearly choked on her tea, for a moment Nats stole her gaze, just as their mamas were watching.
"Oh my..." she whispered, coughing against the back of her hand.
“How lovely!” Louise exclaimed, clapping her hands together, noticing the way Blossom was looking at Nats.
"Do not worry about the dowries, as soon as your boys propose we have everything prepared," Linda assured, setting her tea cup down.  "So, it is decided, we could seek a special marriage license from the archbishop, but not too soon... this way the rest of the ton won't think my girls are somehow compromised," she suggested.
"It is decided," Louise nodded in agreement, grinning into her tea cup.  "Tonight at the Trowbridge Ball, our children shall attend together before we make the marriage announcement."
“My apologies,” Nats exclaimed, “but are you quite alright, Miss Lydia?” he asked, noticing how flushed she’d become, afraid he’d offended her.
"I am!  I am more than alright," Lydia answered, still trying to fight a fit of giggles as she gently patted her sister's back. "I just– it is unseasonably warm..."
"Is it warm? I hadn't noticed," Nats murmured, his gaze quickly dipping down to Lydia's bosom and back up again.
"I'm quite sensitive to the warmth, I get flushed so easily..." Lydia tried to laugh it off.  In fact, Nats was unlike any other man she had met before, he wasn't stuck-up and humourless like most of the London crowd.
Nats' lips stretched into a grin. "Are you sure it's not that I perhaps made you warm?" he asked, the very appearance of innocence despite his grin.
"You forget yourself," Lydia tried to sound outraged, but he couldn't be more right. "What extraordinary act of yours could possibly make me warm, Mr. Young?"
"And are you quite alright?" Sean asked, frowning at Blossom's disheveled expression.
"Yes, I apologize," Blossom put on a smile, still trying to understand what that feeling stirring in her stomach was.  "I was startled, that is all."
"I'm afraid my brother can be quite startlin'," Sean replied smoothly. "You mentioned the other night that you play the pianoforte, amongst other instruments. Might I have the honour of hearing you play?"
"Of course, my lord, it will be my pleasure," Blossom finally felt in control again, her confidence restored as she sat in front of the pianoforte.
"Hmm, I don't know, why don't you tell me, Miss Bellamy," Nats teased, enjoying watching her get riled.
As Blossom began to play, Sean sat nearby to watch, enthralled, oblivious to their mamas’ schemes in the corner.
"My husband shall know what makes me warm and no one else," Lydia teased back, fanning herself delicately. "Well… my husband and Miss Lewis, of course.  She knows everything about me."
"I see," Nats mused, looking thoughtful.  "Perhaps I shall need to speak with Miss Lewis, then.  I have many questions," he smirked, winking at her.
"Good luck, Mr. Young, I have Win's complete loyalty, she would never tell you my secrets.”  Lydia bit her lip softly, wondering if she wanted him to know of her... proclivities.
Nats raised an eyebrow at her as he brought his drink to his lips, drinking down most of his tea at once.  There was something about her that made him want to know more.
The movement of Nats' adam's apple left Lydia hypnotized and she fanned herself more aggressively.  "W-would you like some more tea?"
Nats noticed that her flush had seemed to deepen and he agreed, if only to further fan the flames, as it were.
"It seems we're going to the Trowbridge Ball together tonight," Lydia murmured.  "I hope your twin doesn't cause any more problems for us."
"You and me both," Nats grumbled, forgetting himself for the moment and stuffing a biscuit into his mouth.
"Jesus Christ..." Lydia swore under her breath, tearing her eyes away from him before he noticed her stare, glancing at Sean and her sister instead.
Wiping the crumbs from his hands, Nats finally realized what he'd done and grimaced, having missed some crumbs on his face.
"Manners," Louise warned quietly as she noticed her son's behavior. "What shall your future wife think? That you were raised by animals?"
"We do not mind, we grew up with a brother," Lydia laughed.
"Sorry mum," Nats mumbled, though he brightened at Lydia's laugh.
"We must bid our guests goodbye for now, girls," Linda announced, getting to her feet next to the pianoforte.  "We must pick up your dresses at the modiste for tonight's ball."
"It was a pleasure t'see you again.  You play quite beautifully," Sean said, bowing to Blossom before nodding to Lydia and following his mother.
"I guess I'll see yeh tonight," Nats murmured, winking at Lydia as he too made his exit.
"Thank you, I shall see you tonight!" Blossom bowed before falling on the couch with a huge sigh once they’d made their exit. "Isn't he dreamy?"
"He is..." Lydia giggled, squirming in excitement.
"There's only one issue, my love!" Charles called, but his wife had already hurried out of the room, too busy ushering the girls to the modiste to listen.

That evening Blossom and Lydia made sure to look their best—Blossom in a beautiful pink gown with embroidered flowers and her hair up in a plaited updo while Lydia wore a teal dress with long sleeves and amethyst gems, both of them covered in diamonds.
"Win!  You will not believe what happened when Mr. Young called on me earlier!" Lydia exclaimed, spotting her friend in the crowd and hurrying to her side.
"I have news of my own," Win whispered back, taking Lydia's arm and pulling her somewhere more private.  "What happened with you?" she asked excitedly.
"Nathaniel and I were having some tea and not only was he eating like a beast, he- he... you know!  I cannot say it out loud or I shall blush!" Lydia squealed, nearly vibrating in place.
"Oh my God!" Win gasped, knowing how strangely alluring Lydia found that sort of thing, even if it didn't make sense to her.  "Did he notice how flustered you were?" she wondered.
"Oh, he noticed my embarrassment, but I doubt he was able to puzzle out the why of it," Lydia whispered mischievously.
"Perhaps he'll continue doing it without realizing," Win joked teasingly before snorting in amusement.
Lydia giggled, smacking Win’s arm playfully with her fan.  "And what of your news?  Did something happen?" she asked.
"I was out promenading this morning, and I may have run into Nathan Young," Win answered discreetly. "And... he might not have been such an arse this time,” she added, fighting the grin that threatened to tug at her lips.
"Oh my!  Maybe you will be the lady who will reforms that rake!  How exciting!" Lydia exclaimed, clapping her hands.
"I don't know about that, but I suppose I did enjoy spending time with him earlier, until Lady Trowbridge returned," Win grumbled.
"He was promenading with that old hag?  She has no class, always showing off too much of her chest.  She was lucky to trap Lord Trowbridge in the first place, may he rest in peace," Lydia muttered, tilting her friend's chin up.  "There's no comparison, if he has any taste, he should keep being kind to you."
Win smiled softly, embracing Lydia for a moment.  "Speak of th'devil," she murmured, opening her eyes and noticing the Young family entering the ball.
"Let us say hello!" Lydia dragged her friend across the ballroom, much too excited.  "I heard they have champagne tonight..."
"Lady Young!" Lady Bellamy greeted, followed by her husband and other children. "Your boys look dashing tonight!"
“And your daughters are the picture of beauty!” Lady Young exclaimed.
"You are too kind, Lady Young," Blossom grinned, curtseying.
"Go on, Sean, why don't you ask Miss Lydia to dance?" Louise murmured in her son’s ear. "Do not be shy."
“Miss Lydia?” Sean asked, slightly confused, but he obeyed his mother and asked Lydia to the floor.
"What?  But the champagne..." Lydia murmured in dismay, though she wouldn't dare look disappointed and be rude to her sister's suitor. "Pardon me, my Lord.  I did not mean to be ungrateful."
“No, I’m sorry, perhaps after this dance I could get you some refreshment,” Sean offered awkwardly.
"Oh, that is not what I meant.  I was hoping your brother would like some..." Lydia shook her head.
“Oh… I uh, I guess, would you like to dance, Miss Blossom?” Nats asked, just as confused as his brother as he watched Sean take off with Lydia.
"Um... yes?" Blossom took his hand. "You don't mean to tell me you want my blessing to ask for my sister's hand," she laughed.
“I—“ Nats floundered, nearly tripping over his own feet.  He barely knew Lydia, and though he very much enjoyed her company, would it be presumptuous to ask for her hand so soon?
“Oh! I see,” Sean replied, raising his hand to press his palm to Lydia’s as they pranced in a circle.  “You’re quite enamored with him, aren’t you?”
"I hope I am not being a fool for admitting it, but yes..." Lydia mumbled somewhat quietly.  "I can only hope he shares the same feeling and returns my affections."
“You’re certainly not a fool,” Sean assured her.  “My younger brother seems quite enamored with you as well.”
"And you seem quite smitten by my sister's charms," Lydia commented.  "I probably should not tell you, but... she could barely sleep last night."
“Really?” Sean asked, his lips twitching into a grin as his eyes sought Blossom across the room.
"Unfortunately I was the one she chose to keep her company in the garden when she could not sleep," Lydia chuckled.
Sean couldn’t help but laugh at that.  “My apologies, my Lady,” he chuckled as the song came to an end.
"Do not worry, my Lord, seeing my siblings happy is what I hope for the most, it was my pleasure.”
"Do not be frightened, I was confused, but I suppose dancing with my suitor's brother is part of the courting process?" Blossom wondered. "It is important I get along with his family, is it not?"
“I guess?” Nats replied.  “I’m not quite sure why our mamas insisted.”
"Neither am I..." Blossom laughed.  "But I am willing to enjoy it, you are a fair dancer, sir.  My sister is quite lucky."
“Thanks,” Nats grinned, sashaying across the dance floor with Blossom.  “You look so much like her,” he observed.  “The family resemblance is strong.”
"Thank you, I believe her the most beautiful lady I know, just as our mama," Blossom looked over his shoulder, stealing a glance at Lyddie and Sean.
“Yes, very beautiful…” Nats murmured, watching Lydia spin in his brother’s arms.
Suddenly the memory of what happened at teatime invaded Blossom's mind unbidden and she became very aware that Nats was holding her.  She did not like him in that way, by any means, but she couldn't help that strange feeling.
“You alright?” Nats asked, noticing the strange look on her face.
"Y-yes, I just remembered something, it is not your fault," Blossom swallowed, her chest heaving at the thought.
“Would you like something t’drink?” Nats asked, still somewhat worried as Sean and Lydia arrived, joining them.
"Yes, please," Blossom nodded.  She was still as wise as a child about any sort of marital relations, she knew married people made babies, but had no idea how, making that feeling much more confusing.
“Mr. Young,” Win greeted, inclining her head to Nathan as the others took off toward the dance floor.
"Miss Lewis."  Nate replied, kissing the back of her hand.  "Y'look particularly gorgeous tonight."
“You look rather dashing as well,” Win murmured, her face warming as she gazed up at him—his haphazard curls somewhat wrangled.
"Would you give me the honor?" he asked, offering his arm.  "Let us hide from your step-sister on the dance floor."
“I quite think it is you who should be hiding from her, and my step mama,” Win said, taking his arm.  “I fear they may be scheming something…”
"Allow them to scheme all they want, you know quite well where my intentions lie," Nathan said, though he did not exactly know where they lie himself, but knowing that they definitely did not lie with Delilah.
“Do I?” Win asked, arching an eyebrow at him.
"Well, not with Delilah… and certainly not with Lady Trowbridge," Nathan teased.  "I am quite interested in being challenged for now."
Win directed a smirk at him and turned to stand face to face with him, placing a gloved hand on his shoulder and slipping one into his warm hand.  “Lucky me.”
"I was glad to hear you are not in a hurry to wed, it gives us time to enjoy ourselves like this and keep our freedom for the moment being."  Nathan placed his other hand on her back, stroking gently.
“It grants you your freedom, surely,” Win frowned.  “For me, being unwed is more constraining.  Every move I make is scrutinized and judged.  I can’t go anywhere without a chaperone…”
"Believe me, Miss Lewis, many ladies have been in my presence unchaperoned and were never discovered.  All you need is t'be careful about it," Nate drawled, shrugging.
“Oh, many?  I see,” Win said, stepping back abruptly at the song change.  “Excuse me,” she mumbled, making her way away from him, her chest suddenly rather tight.
"Miss Lewis!" Nate called, trying to follow her through the crowd as he hurried away. "Please do not run, I did not mean to sound insensitive."
“There you are, Mr. Young!” Delilah cried, intercepting Nathan and letting Win get away. “May I have this next dance?”
"Uh... my apologies, I was lookin' for Miss Lewis–" Nate muttered, trying to get away before he found himself dragged back to the floor with Delilah.
“Lydia!” Win called, hurrying to join her friends, her face flushed with angry embarrassment just as Nats returned with two glasses of champagne, one for each sister.
"I’m afraid we cannot drink it, the bubbles upset our stomach," Blossom said as her sister elbowed her.
"Just drink it slowly, sister," she hissed before noticing her friend making a b-line for them, a distraught look on her face. "Winnie, what happened?  Where is Mr. Young?"
“I think Delilah may have caught him, but she can have him,” she huffed, trying to push down the disappointed feeling that threatened to choke her.
“Oh! I didn’t know, can I get yeh anythin’ else?” Nats asked sheepishly, Sean already on it, quickly returning with two glasses of lemonade.
“Is this better?” he asked and Blossom nodded, accepting the glass.
"Our brother had never had a problem, just Lydia and myself.  Do you... like champagne?" she asked as casually as possible.
“Yeah, though I’m partial to harder spirits.  I’ll drink basically anythin’,” Nats admitted, tipping back the glass of champagne while Sean drank his more politely.
"Oh dear..." Blossom laughed, her eyes traveling from one brother to the other.  She wished Sean would act more like Nathaniel, but she felt as if she would have to ask for it in private. Maybe once they were married…
"What did he do?  That arse–” Lydia swore, “was he rude to you again?" she demanded, wrapping her arms around her friend.
“He was speaking of his past conquests so casually—“ Win cut off, shaking her head. “I don’t know why it should bother me so,” she mumbled, angry at herself.
"The past does not matter, Winnie, he is interested in you.  No one has such a strong reaction if they do not care about someone," Lydia said, half distracted by Nats, but wanting to give her friend all the support she needed.  "As long as he does not treat you poorly..."
As Nathaniel finished, he let out a contented sigh and set the empty glass on a servant's tray as they passed. "You sure you're alright?" he asked Blossom, glancing between her and Lydia, trying not to eavesdrop on her and Winrey's conversation.
"I–I don't care," Win insisted, grabbing a glass of champagne for herself and drinking it just as quickly as Nats had.
Blossom's eyes grew seeing Win act in that way. "I am–I shall need some fresh air, is there a terrace somewhere?" she asked, looking around hastily.
"This way," Sean said, taking Blossom's hand to lead her to the nearby terrace balcony.
"You know, Win, my papa courted many women before he met my mama and you know how much they love each other," Lydia offered.  "Reformed rakes are the best husbands, so they say."
"Perhaps, but first he must want to be reformed," Win murmured, noticing him coming their way, no doubt having finally escaped her step sister.
"Miss Lewis, can I please have a word?  In private?" Nate asked pointedly.  "I've endured your step-sister's dreadful dancing, it is the least you can do."
"Of course," Lydia grabbed another glass of champagne for Nats and one lemonade for herself as she left Win with Nathan. "Would you like to see the garden, Mr. Young?"
"I would love to, Miss Bellamy," Nats said, taking her arm, glad to be able to have more time with her.
"Fine," Win snapped, giving Lydia a helpless look before following him.
"So, how was dancing with Blossom?  She is lovely, is she not?  I wouldn't be surprised if the Queen made her the diamond of the season," Lydia smiled, watching Nats carefully.
"She is, but I'm afraid she doesn't hold a candle to you, if I may say," Nats murmured, glancing at her to gauge her response.
"I happen to disagree, but I appreciate your compliment," Lydia shook her head fondly, taking a seat on a stone bench facing the house.  "I do not understand what our mamas were thinking..."
Nats snorted.  "I'm afraid I've no idea.  If they were to actually pay attention for a moment, I should think it obvious that Miss Blossom and Sean are a match... as are we," he murmured, glancing at her hopefully.
"Yes, we are," Lydia nodded, itching to take his hand.  She wanted to touch him without her gloves, to actually feel his touch.  "I hope your intentions are more noble than your twin's.  I should love to tell you what makes me warm someday."
Nats swallowed thickly. "My intentions are certainly more noble, though perhaps not entirely innocent," he added under his breath.  "I should very much like to know what makes you... warm," he breathed, taking her gloved hand, his thumb brushing over the back of it as he watched her.
"At our age I doubt anyone is entirely innocent... the spring awakening of my passions started long ago," Lydia looked down, knowing looking at him would only make her heart race even more.  "That is why I have been after the boy I've met in the past.  I made a vow to marry him."
"That is why you haven't married?" Nats asked, a memory tickling at the back of his mind. He would have to speak to his mother about it, to confirm what his heart was telling him.
"Yes, no one ever compared to him, he was kind to me when nobody else was.  I hear people say I am beautiful now, but when I was younger..." Lydia smiled sadly.  "The likes of Delilah Edwards, Prudence Featherington, or Cressida Cowper made fun of me.  I was scrawny, my nose was much too big for my face, my eyebrows too thick..."
Nats clicked his tongue. "As if they have any room t'talk."
"You are too kind, Mr. Young," Lydia grinned, she appreciated how brass he could be, how he ignored the rules sometimes.
"Nah, just speakin' th'truth," he shrugged.
“We should probably head back inside, our mamas will lose their minds," Lydia said reluctantly before she could succumb to his charms and compromise herself.

"Thank you, my Lord. I am not hysterical, I promise," Blossom joked as they stepped off the dancefloor and out onto the nearby balcony,  making sure plenty of people could still see them to assure no one would make up any rumors.  "I simply... I've been dealing with this weird affliction, I don't quite understand it."
"I didn't think that," Sean assured her. "If you don't mind me asking... what sort of affliction?"
"It's a... a weird prickly feeling, almost like I'm being tickled, but from the inside of my stomach, and my hands tingle.  I might be coming down with something," Blossom grimaced.
Sean had to fight to bite back a smile at her description.  "I'm afraid, I don't believe you're coming down with anything," he tried to explain gently, not wanting to embarrass her.  "It's quite normal actually.  It's something that happens... when something excites you."
"So could this be a good thing?" Blossom mused, she definitely liked it, she longed for that feeling and wanted to actively seek it.  How bad could it be?  "You say it's normal, do you feel like that?"
"Sometimes," Sean answered truthfully.  "It usually happens in the presence of ladies I find... pleasant," he elaborated, trying desperately to be subtle, while wondering what had made her feel so.
"Oh... I suppose that makes sense, I find you very pleasant," Blossom admitted innocently, leaving out the part where his brother and Win seemed to have that effect on her as well, even though she didn't have feelings for them. "I hope I can make you feel that way, my lord."
"Oh!" Sean exclaimed, clearing his throat. "Y-yes, I should think you do—er, will," he stuttered, trying to calm himself.
"You make me feel safe, it's so easy to speak with you," Blossom looked up at him. "I'm usually embarrassed with everyone else, with you I blush from joy."
"I'm glad. Being with you is effortless," Sean replied, taking her hand to press his lips to the back of it. "I wish to know everything about you."
"As do I... about you I mean," Blossom laughed, her heart melting from how gentle he was.  "I believe I know enough about myself."
Sean laughed along with her. "How are you feeling? Any less light headed?" he asked, wanting to make sure she was alright.
"Yes, I feel wonderful," Blossom looked back where her mama talked to Lady Young and Simon stared dreamily at his childhood friend, Miss Daniels. "Is it too bad that I do not wish to go back?"
"Perhaps you wouldn't be opposed to a dance, then?" Sean offered, nodding toward the dance floor.
"I'd be delighted," Blossom took his arm.
"See how your eldest treats Blossom?  He's already like her older brother," Lady Bellamy observed, pleased as she caught sight of the couple taking the floor.

"You must know, I did not mean to boast about my past lovers, I was simply trying to ease your worries," Nate tried to explain without offending Win again.  "If you were to find yourself alone with me, I wouldn't let anything bad happen."
Win took a deep breath, finally looking at him. "I see.  Define bad," she prompted.
"I would never do anything you are not comfortable with.  I would not touch you unless you begged for it," Nate's voice dropped.  "And if you did beg and I did touch you, no one would be the wiser."
Win's breath caught in her throat, her voice having failed her as her chest heaved, beginning to feel much the same as Blossom was.  "Aren't you th'gentleman," she joked faintly, already wanting him to touch her.
"I am, and as a gentleman I do not do anything a lady does not want," Nathan had to fight not to smirk watching her reaction.  It was probably the most adorable yet sensual response he had ever seen.  "Or compromise them in the eyes of the ton."
"That's... good," Win breathed, biting her lip, her eyelids fluttering as she leaned in closer, drawn in like a moth to the flame.
"When you bite your lip like that it makes it so hard not t'kiss you," Nathan brushed the hair away from her face.  "But I will keep my promise, nothing you do not ask for."
Subconsciously leaning into his brief touch, Win swallowed, her eyelids lowering.  She wanted nothing more than to give in to her passions, the temptation too great.  "Please," she whispered, her eyes flicking back up to his.
"As you wish, Miss Lewis," Nate looked around to make sure they were alone before he pressed his lips to hers, gently caressing the back of her neck.  "Am I the first?"
Win sighed softly as his lips caressed hers, more gentle than she'd expected. "I'm afraid not," she answered, hoping to make him a little jealous with her response.
"I hoped to stay in your memory as your first, but I suppose I'll have to settle for bein' remembered as the best," Nate breathed, still inebriated by her perfume.
"Cocky bastard," Win snorted, tangling her fingers in the edges of his jacket. "You have a high opinion of yourself."
"I might not the brightest, but I know what I'm doin' when it comes to this," Nate held her in turn, close to his chest.
“You certainly do,” Win replied breathlessly, not wanting to stop, though her sense of reason had just begun to kick back in and fear of getting hurt began to leech into her chest. “Nathan, I—I need to stop,” she said, pulling back, though it took every bit of strength in her to do so.
"All right... did I do something wrong?" Nate asked, also quite frustrated for having to stop when all he wanted was a taste of her lips again.
"No, I..." Win faltered for a moment, pressing her hand to her forehead.  "A lady must play at least a little hard to get, mustn't she?" she asked, her voice fainter than she would have liked.
"You believe if you don't I shall lose interest?"  Nathan looked deep into her eyes.  "I can promise, you shall never be less alluring on account of kissin' me."
"But you will... lose interest, eventually," Win mumbled.  "Maybe it would be best if we–" she trailed off, seeking his lips despite her hesitance.
"The risk of heartbreak is what makes this so much more thrilling," Nathan murmured, kissing her back, his hand sliding down her back.
As much as Win wanted to tell him No, she didn't want to risk any heartbreak, the words caught in her throat and she kept kissing him.
"Someone's nearby," Nate pulled away, though his hand lingered on the small of her back.  "If you'd like t'go any further I know ways t'make that happen... though probably not in the middle of a ball," he laughed softly.
"What're you doin'?" Nats hissed, catching Win in his twin's arms.
"Nathaniel!" Win exclaimed, quickly stepping away.  What would Lydia think?
"Showin' the young lady how to enjoy herself," Nate smirked.  "She was enjoyin' herself... right?  Do not worry, it was just a kiss.  Maybe three."
"If your rakish ways come back t'bite me in th'arse, I swear–" Nats began, pointing at his brother until Win grabbed his arm, interrupting him.
"You wouldn't tell anyone about this?  If my step mama finds out–"
"He will not, he knows what would happen if he did and how angry Miss Bellamy would be to see her best friend ruined because of him," Nathan hissed.  "Right, brother?"
"That's what I was just sayin'!" Nats snapped back.  "You're lucky it wasn't anyone else who came in just now."
"I know, I know... I promise to be more careful in the future, now will you escort us back to the ballroom?" Nate asked.
On the way back, Win kept her hands to herself, flinching when she saw her step mother notice her.
“There you are, Winrey!  Lord Lumley’s been looking for you for a dance.” Karen’s eyes slipped to Nathan. “I’m afraid we haven’t been introduced.  I believe you’ve been spending some time with my step daughter,” she said, eyeing him interestedly.
"Good evening, ma'am," Nate took her hand against his will—she reminded him way too much of her daughter.  "Mr. Nathan Young, I just moved with my brothers and my mama. Your stepdaughter is absolutely lovely, it has been a pleasure to be in her company."
“Really?” Lady Edwards asked, surprise leeching into her tone. “Might that mean a proposal soon?” she pried, frowning.
"I should be most fortunate if Miss Lewis should accept to be my wife, though I cannot say I fancy myself worthy of her hand," Nate said, realizing that he did feel that way to some degree.
“Ah, I see,” Karen mused, her gaze flicking to Win, who rolled her eyes.  “Pretty words, my Lord,” she murmured, “if empty.”
“Miss Lewis, might I have this dance?” Lord Lumley asked, appearing by her elbow.
Hesitating a moment, Win looked to Nathan before reluctantly accepting, knowing her step mother would not be pleased if she didn’t.  Nodding to the Young twins, she went out to the floor.
"Empty... much like Miss Edwards' head," Nathan grumbled, taking his leave to get a drink. He couldn't complain about seeing Win dance with that bumbling idiot… After all, he did not own her.  "Tell me good news, brother, you and Sean?"
“We seem to be having luck with our respective ladies, but something strange is going on with mother. I think she might have gotten confused as to which young lady is which,” he replied, wearing a tiny frown.
"It is not Mama's fault, it was Whistledown," Nate snorted, momentarily forgetting that Win was dancing with someone else.  "She must've gotten our names confused.  Her last issue reported that Miss Bellamy danced with Sean, and Miss Blossom danced with you."
“And to think even the great Whistledown can make mistakes,” Nats muttered. “I’ll have to speak with Mother and rectify this misunderstanding,” he said firmly, his eyes following Winrey. “ Might I inquire what your intentions are with Miss Lewis?” he asked pointedly.
"You may ask, but I do not have an answer," Nate honestly replied. "Not even I know what my intentions are.  I find her beautiful, she is spirited and interesting, but that is all I know."
"Congratulations are in order, I hear, Mr. Young," Lord Bridgerton exclaimed as he joined the twins at the refreshment table.
“On what?” Nats asked, frowning.
“On your engagement, of course.  I overheard your Mamas speaking about it.  I hope for your sake that Miss Blossom is less... stubborn than her older sister.  Miss Bellamy is as unpleasant as she is pretty."
"What?" Nats asked, forgetting himself for a moment. "Did you say engagement?" he spluttered. "To Miss Blossom?  But I–!”  Nats gaped at the other man, completely forgetting what he was going to say to his brother about courting Miss Lewis. "I must talk to Mother now!" he exclaimed, hurrying through the crowd.

"Mama!  Why did Penelope Featherington just congratulate me on my engagement to Lord Young?" Lydia demanded, rushing towards the table where Lady Bellamy and Lady Young were sharing an exciting conversation. "I am not engaged, let alone to the elder Lord Young!"
"It is only a matter of time, dear," Linda grinned drunkenly.  "He will propose soon enough."
"Not to me!"
"Mama!" Nats cried, arriving at the table at the same time as Lydia. "Why would you speak for me in calling an engagement?"
"Because darling, it is clear how much you fancy the young lady!" Louise answered, patting his cheek, just as tipsy as Lady Bellamy.
"Except you have the wrong lady," Nathaniel hissed, lowering his voice.  "I am enamored with Miss Lydia while Sean has his eyes on Miss Blossom."
"How is that possible?  You seemed so in love dancing earlier," Linda laughed, thinking the children were trying to mock them.
"That wasn't love, it was friendly affection. Which is all I can possibly nurture for Lord Young," Lydia explained. "How are we supposed to fix this mistake when it seems half of the ton already has the wrong idea?
"Mother, what is the meaning of this?" Sean asked worriedly, joining his brother, Blossom's hand still in his.  At his exclamation, Louise began to take things more seriously.
"Are you saying this isn't a jest?" she asked.
"Yes!" Sean and Nats answered together.  "Why would you put this into motion without so much as consulting us?"
"We just saw a good match and—we imagined you would wind up engaged sooner or later," Linda seemed to sober up from fear alone.
"We are adults!  The gentlemen would propose if and when they were ready for that commitment!" Lydia nearly sobbed.  The idea of not being able to marry the only man she actually liked was too painful.
"There must be something we can do to rectify this mistake," Sean, ever the voice of reason spoke up, though he was clearly not happy with his mother either.
"By now Lady Whistledown must know," Blossom's voice trembled nervously.  "Everyone should think we're... depraved!"
"You made this mess, Mama!  You fix it, I am not marrying any man except for Mr. Nathaniel!" Lydia scowled.
"I could possibly understand the mix up if it were between myself and Nate, but Sean?" Nats groaned.  All the colour had gone from Louise's face and she looked to Linda next to her.
"There is not much we can do tonight. Let us meet tomorrow to see what our options are."
"I need some fresh air!" Lydia marched to the terrace where she found Win, looking less than happy.  "Winnie, what is it?  Did something happen between you and Mr. Young?"
"Yes, but–" Win noticed the look on Lydia's face and frowned, instantly concerned.  "It doesn't matter, what's wrong?" she asked, taking Lydia's face between her hands.
"Mama and Lady Young decided to tell everyone I am engaged... to Lord Young!" Lydia cried, hugging her friend tightly.  "And Blossom to Mr. Nathaniel."
"You jest!" Win exclaimed, her own troubles forgotten.  "What were they thinking?"
"I don't know!  People have been congratulating us, everybody knows," Lydia whined.
"Do not worry, Lyddie, I'm sure your families will fix this terrible misunderstanding," Win assured her, pulling her into her arms for a hug.  "Everything will work out in the end."
"I really hope so," Lydia sighed.  "I think... I think I'm falling for Nathaniel."
"Tell me about it," Win murmured.
"Oh... so I am not the only one?" Lydia pulled away to look at her.
"Oh, I didn't mean, Nathaniel, I meant... nevermind," Win said quickly.
"Nathan, you are in love with Mr. Nathan Young!" Lydia couldn't help but smile.
"I wouldn't say love!  Maybe strong attraction," Win backpedaled.
"How strong?"
"Too strong," Win grumbled ruefully.  "He scrambles my wits when he's near me."
"You smell like his cologne," Lydia teased, poking her shoulder.  "If there is anyone who can change his mind about marriage, it is you, the most beautiful and intelligent lady of the ton!"
Win had to hide her to smile behind her hand.  "You have entirely too much faith in me, Lyds."
"You have earned it, Win," Lydia pressed her lips to her friend's forehead.  "You will need to tell me bit by bit everything he said!"
"I don't really remember..." Win whispered, leaning into Lydia's embrace.
"Do you not remember or are you hiding something?  Winnie, I know you quite well..."
"Would you think less of me if I told you... we kissed?" Win asked in a tiny voice.
"Think less?  Never!  Be slightly jealous... maybe," Lydia giggled, unable to think of the trouble their mamas put them through, too happy for her friend.  "I could never think less of you, Winnie!"
"Good, I was so worried.  It felt like my heart was about to beat out of my chest, but... I worry what will happen when he tires of me and moves onto the next lady," she confessed.
"Who says he will? You are the very best the ton has to offer, there is no one better than you!" Lydia insisted. "Maybe it is time for that rake to settle down."
"I suppose we shall see," Win sighed. "Either way, at least I will always have you."
"Always and forever," Lydia nodded.
Win noticed her step mother hovering by the door and let out a sigh.  “I better get going, but I shall come visit tomorrow and help you with your dilemma,” she promised.  “Do not fret, you will have your love match yet!”

"I don't care about the Wizard of Oz!  I'll wear blue like Glinda in Wicked!" Lydia exclaimed, crossing the flat in her enormous blue gown and long blonde wig with perfect curls, waving her sparkly wand around.
"But in th’movie she wears pink!" Nate followed, already in his Tin Man attire. "With th'big crown."
"That movie is anti-Elphaba propaganda!"
"Lyds, y'look so beautiful," Win cried, jumping up from the couch to fawn over her wife as she joined them.
"Do we really hafta wear these?" Nats asked, pulling the straw hat from his head.  “It’s itchy!”
"Do you have to wear a costume on Halloween? Oh, I don't know, did we get married in flip-flops?” Lydia countered, sarcasm dripping from her words.  “I wanted to dress you up as the scarecrow before he became the scarecrow, but someone keeps preaching about the stupid movie."
"Hey! I'm just sayin', if it's meant t’be recognizable..." Nate grumbled.
"Ugh, you're getting on my nerves," Lydia huffed, stopping to admire Win, dressed as Elphaba, complete with green skin.  "You’re so beautiful, baby!  Absolutely gorgeous!"
"Thank you, Lollipop," Win laughed, taking Lydia's hand and spinning with her. "Now stop bickering you guys," she added. "I think everyone looks good. Let's go pick up Blossom and her little boyfriend."
"I promise I won't say another word until y'have some candy t'calm you down," Nate teased, turning Lyddie so he could kiss her cheek.
"Silly…"  She finally smiled. "Let's go, you all look great, you too, Nats."
"Thanks," Nats mumbled, letting Win pull him to his feet and stick his hat back on his head.
Outside their flat, it seemed trick or treaters were already on the prowl, scouring the streets with purpose, hunting for their sweet rewards.
"What's goin' on over at th'Community Centre?" Win wondered, noticing the crowd of people lingering outside the courtyard. "Are they havin' a Halloween party or somethin'?"
"Probably, they always do something to keep people from causing too much mischeif... I miss hanging out there every day with the gang," Lydia murmured, looking wistfully back at their rooftop.
"We spent last Halloween in New York and  y’still miss the Centre? You're too adorable," Nate laughed. "Maybe we can drop by after Blossom is done with the trick or treating."
"Yeah, sounds like fun," Win agreed, hooking her arms with Lydia's and Nate's as they walked.
It wasn't long before they arrived at the Bellamy residence, and it seemed like their neighborhood was busier than most others.
"Jay-sus, there are fuckin' ragamuffin's everywhere y'look," Nats exclaimed, having to quickly step out of the way of two kids that raced past, almost running right into him.
"It's because people over here are loaded, they give out the best stuff," Lydia explained, waving at a group of little girls admiring her dress before ringing the buzzer.
“Yeah, full bars,” Win added. That had been one of the things she’d actually liked about living in the neighborhood during her teenage years.
"Trick or treat!" Nate called when Blossom opened the door, already in her Dorothy costume. "I'll take this Lollipop, we're done for the night.  Send your boyfriend back to Australia!" he called, hoisting her over his shoulder as she laughed.
"You look so cute! Did Cormac come too?" Lydia asked, taking a look at her younger clone.
"No, he's on some school trip to a castle or something."  She grabbed her basket and pulled Brett, dressed as the cowardly lion, outside as soon as Nate let her down. "We're leaving, dad! I love you!"
"Love you too, honey, be careful!  Have fun!" Charles called back.
“Now I guess th’group’s complete,” Win said, looking around at all of them.
“Yeah, now which way d’yeh wanna head first?” Nats asked, looking down both sides of the street to see which way seemed to have more porch lights on.
"Hmmm the backstreet has that old lady who always has Twix and Mars Bars," Blossom pointed out, "so maybe there?"
"Lead the way, baby."  Brett took her hand, earning an eye roll from Nate.
"I think I liked the specky git better, he was more respectful," he muttered.
“No kiddin’, wasn’t as handsy either,” Nats agreed, scowling as they followed the two teens down the sidewalk.
"Stop being so jealous, don't you remember what you used to do with girls when you were fifteen?" Lydia snorted.
"Yeah! That's exactly why I don't like this fella," Nate cried in a hushed voice, pointing at them— Brett already had his arm around Blossom's waist, leaning to whisper in her ear.
“Yeah, and we ain’t jealous!  We’re just lookin’ out for her, guarding her purity and all that,” Nats exclaimed.
"You don't need to guard her purity, she has a wall covered in manga and a collection of musical theatre songbooks that do the job for you," Lydia laughed, slipping her hand to Nats' ass, giving him a squeeze.
Nats’ eyebrows rose and an impish grin spread across his face. “I guess yeh have a point,” he agreed, turning his face to press a kiss to Lydia’s jaw.
“Would it help I let y’get a little handsy yourself?” Win purred, slipping closer to Nate’s side and pulling his arm around her waist.
"Definitely," Nate gave her a squeeze, unabashedly looking down her cleavage. "This glamour y'have on... are you green all over or just the exposed bits?"
“Why don’tcha find out later?” Win teased, smirking up at him.
"I told you they'd be distracted," Brett chuckled.
"I still don't think they'll say yes," Blossom murmured.
"Say yes to what exactly, young lady?" Lydia asked, somehow knowing what was marinating in her mind. "The party at the Community Centre is for grown ups, they won't let you in."
"Aw why can't they come?" Win asked, looking between Lydia and Blossom.
"Are y'kiddin' me?" Nats exclaimed, gaping at her. "They'll be rubbin' up all over each other at that party!"
"It'll be kinda hard t'control where they go, they could sneak out and drink and—" Nate lowered his voice,"—y'know, snog and-and who else knows!"
"I was drinking at th’school dance when you two were my dates, and we were sneaking around too!  We won't do anything bad!" Blossom whined, looking back at them with puppy dog eyes.
"Right, I'll take good care of her, Nathan," Brett insisted.
"Say that again and I'll make you shit a frozen turkey," Nate threatened, narrowing his eyes.
"What d'you think, Lyds? You know her best," Win murmured. "As long as they promise not t'go off on their own..."
"Fine, mostly because I would've killed for this opportunity when I was her age.  Let's get some of that candy and go."  Lydia smiled, leaning in to whisper in Win’s ear.  "When we get there can you make my dress sluttier?"
"Yeah, course, my slutty Glinda,” Win smirked, squealing excitedly.
“Blossom, two drinks, no drugs, and no funny business.  Stay close," Nate said firmly, catching himself being responsible for once.
"How many drinks have you had before we even left?" Nats exclaimed, eyeing Win.
"None!" she cried, feigning offense. "I can't be excited without bein' drunk?"
"I was with her the whole time!" Lydia added, vouching for her while wrapping her arms around her wife.  "Me, on the other hand... one, I only had one beer."
"That's like any of us havin' three," Nate scoffed, watching as Blossom and Brett ran to ring the buzzer and get their candy.  "Just be careful, remember last Halloween?"
"Barely," Win winced. "I'll be good, I promise," she whined, pouting at Nate.
"Good girl."  He held her chin up and smirked, blowing her a kiss. "I believe yeh."
"But not too good though, right?" Nats asked, smirking at the girls.
"Hush, don't let th'kids hear," Win laughed. "We gotta set a good example for 'em."
"I don't know what you're saying, I'm the best girl.  I'm so good I don't even know how I do it," Lydia laughed.
"Oh yeah, you’re an angel, Lollipop," Nate teased, winking as he bit his lip discreetly.
"Okay, this block is done!" Blossom exclaimed excitedly, joining them, followed by her boyfriend who was definitely more interested in the party than anything else.
“Shit,” Win swore under her breath as she realized which street they’d just turned down. “Let’s avoid that one,” she said, nodding to the large house nearby.
“Ain’t that your step-mum’s—?” Nats asked, cutting off at her glare.
"Yeah, I don't wanna go there either," Blossom agreed, keeping her head low.
"I can go," Brett offered. "They don't know me."
"No, please, I don't want anyone to see me. Let's just keep moving. A lot of my bullies live around here too, we better skip this area."
“C’mon,” Win urged, placing her hands protectively on Blossom’s shoulders and steering them down a different street, heading back toward the Community Centre.
"You should let me sort it out with those assholes," Brett frowned. "That's what I'm here for, right?"
"I don't want any trouble, especially after what happened at th’dance... they were furious that their prank didn't work," Blossom muttered, taking Lydia's hand, which always made her feel safer.
Win stepped back when Blossom reached for Lydia, her stomach dropping slightly.
“Guess now’s as good a time as any t’hit up that party, huh?” Nats suggested, noticing the look on Win’s face.
"Yeah, sounds good.  I just hope none of them will be there," Blossom murmured—she’d only been to the Centre a handful of times, but had never actually gotten to visit the famous rooftop or been to a party like that.
"Don't worry, B, we're all here," Nate assured, kissing the top of her head gently before noticing the look in Win's eyes. "You okay, baby?" he whispered.
“Yeah, m’fine,” she assured him quickly, taking his hand to practically drag him toward the front door. “I just really want a drink.”
There wasn't security or anyone to stop the youngsters from entering the building, the probation office was empty, which was unfortunate as Lydia was looking forward to taunting Shaun like she always did.
"What d’you want? Vodka cranberry, Lyds?" Nate asked, eyeing the bar and she nodded.
"I want whiskey and coke!" Blossom shouted back.
"Fine, but I'll make it flat!"
“Whiskey double,” Win ordered for herself, slipping a tenner to the bartender as he handed her back a plastic cup with her alcohol.
“Just a beer for me,” Nats added, looking around, wondering if he knew anyone else there.
"Me too!" Brett added, trying to make his voice sound deeper than it was.
"Thank you," both Lydias said at the same time as they got their drinks.
"Hey, I love you," Lyddie, the older one, said before stealing a kiss from her wife. "You look so hot right now."
“Thanks, so do you,” she replied, discreetly altering Lyddie’s dress, making it shorter and more form fitting.
"Wanna dance, baby?" Brett asked, taking Blossom's hand, guiding her to the dance floor.
"Sure, we'll be right over there!" she waved at the quad as she followed him.
"Wait until I tell Wayne about this, he'll be so jealous," Brett giggled, pulling her into his arms.
"That doesn't matter, I'm here. Why would you think about him?" Blossom drawled, pulling him closer for a kiss.
"D’you wanna dance?" Nate asked, draping one arm around Win's shoulder.
Win downed her drink and nodded, leaning against Nate as she steered him toward the packed floor. “Yes please!” she cried.
"C'mere, beautiful," he brought her closer, making so she would lean against his chest as they danced. "Y'make my non-existent heart race."
Win couldn’t help but grin up at him, affection squeezing her heart. “We better go get your heart from that damn wizard soon,” she joked, raising up on her toes to steal a kiss.
"Dunno... got a feeling that bastard is a scammer," Nate laughed, forgetting completely to watch Blossom and her Australian wanker fella. "I love you so much, Winnie."
“I love you too, babe,” Win breathed, glad to be in his arms and oblivious to anything else.
“And you, Lollipop?” Nats asked, grinning at her and waggling his eyebrows.
"How can I say no to that face? You're so charming it makes me wanna scream," Lydia wrapped her arms around his neck.
Nats chuckled, lifting her off the floor to spin her in a circle before setting her down, his hands sliding down to her ass. “Y’look breathtakin’ tonight,” he said over the loud music.
"Thank you, you look quite dashing yourself. You might just give me a scarecrow kink," Lydia teased, even though the idea of a straw cock terrified her.  He did look sexy, and she couldn't look away from his adam's apple as he swallowed his drink.
Noticing her watching, Nats took another drink and held the liquid in his mouth while he crooked a finger, beckoning her closer.  "You know me too well," Lydia sighed, closing the distance between them and letting him flood her mouth with beer. "Tastes so much better that way."
"Yeah, I bet I know yeh better than y'know yourself by now," Nats joked, spinning Lydia in his arms. "Oh shit, where did little Lyds and that wanker go?" he asked, suddenly remembering they were supposed to be keeping an eye on the younger couple.
"I don't know..." Lydia looked around, in that sea of crazy costumes a tiny girl like her could easily get lost. "Let me call her."
"Tried it already, she left her phone at home," Nate cut in, noticing they were gone not long before his twin. "I knew this wasn't a good idea."
"Well sorry for wantin' th'kids to have a little fun," Win grumbled, stepping away from Nate's side. "Does anyone have Brett's number?" she suggested, barely tall enough to see through the crowd herself.
"It's not your fault, it's not what I meant!" Nate frowned—sometimes he forgot how prickly Win could get, her walls instantly going up.
"I don't think so, but we should stick together, they can't be very far.  And she's almost fifteen, she's not a child," Lydia exclaimed, trying to keep herself calm.
"C'mon, let's check any of the places they coulda snuck off to," Win suggested, ignoring Nate and patting Lydia's shoulder soothingly. "They'll be alright, they're probably just snogging."
"Oh yeah, just snogging, as if that's not bad enough!" Nats cried, but he followed Win's suggestion and pushed through the crowd toward the storage room.
"That bastard, she's a lightweight!" Nate growled, filled with anger. "And he's older!"
"Six months older," Lydia mocked.
Win rolled her eyes as they checked the locker room next, finding it empty except for some drunk party goers that definitely weren't Blossom or Brett.
"Wait, the music room," Lydia suggested. "It's our favorite place!"  However, when they burst into the music room, it too was abandoned.
"It looks like the only place left is the roof," Win muttered, wishing she could still be out dancing.
——
"There you have it, the infamous rooftop, best view of that disgusting lake," Blossom exclaimed, closing the door behind them.
"Ah well, the view seems gorgeous to me," Brett smiled, looking at his girlfriend instead.
"You're such an idiot," Blossom laughed, following Brett to one of the armchairs and sitting on his lap. "I kinda like that."
"I know," he smirked before his lips were on hers.
"Don't you think the others are worried?" Blossom murmured in between kisses.
"Eh, they're probably doing the same thing, don't worry about them."  Brett placed his hand on her thigh and she nearly jumped, convinced she'd never get used to that.
"Stop, I hear someone coming."
"We're not doing anything wrong..."
When the door to the roof flew open, banging loudly against the wall, it wasn't the quad that stepped out, however, but Delilah and a couple of her friends, drunkenly stumbling out onto the roof. "Oops, looks like this spot's taken," one of the girls slurred while Delilah rolled her eyes and glanced over at the couple on the couch.
"Not for long. Scram!" she exclaimed, until she got a better look at Blossom. "Hey wait, I know you..."
That voice was enough to make Blossom sick to her stomach and she flinched back, recognizing some of those faces. "You think?"  She took her glasses from her basket and put them on. "Better now?"
"We're not leaving, we got here first," Brett argued, unimpressed by the group.
"Ugh, it's the younger Bellamy, little sister of that pyromanic creep," one of the girls giggled.
"Do NOT talk about my family, you cunt!" Blossom jumped from her seat, a familiar rage compelling her to react.
“Aw whatcha gunna do? You gunna fight me?” Delilah asked, adopting a pitying look. “As if,” she laughed and her friends laughed with her. “You and your little boyfriend can find somewhere else t’snog.”
"Hey, don't talk to her like that!" Brett also got up.
"I never understood why you seem so bothered by my existence alone, but I guess now I realize you must be so jealous of me!" Blossom taunted, the alcohol taking away any restraint. "I have a sibling and a dad who love me, I'm infinitely more intelligent even at my age than you ever will be! I'm so sorry the highlight of your pathetic life was being punched by Lyddie Young."
“It’s not just you,” Delilah laughed. “As if you were that special,” she scoffed. “It’s anyone and everyone who’s beneath me. And who cares if my stupid stepsister or her pathetic father like me or not, I could care less about them.”
Win heard the end of Delilah’s tirade as she walked up the steps to the roof access. “Thought I smelled something foul,” she muttered, shoving her step sister out of the way.
"Winnie!" Blossom ran into her arms, the knot in her chest finally loosening. "This twat wanted to kick me out. Sorry we ran away, we didn't mean to."
"Look who's here on our rooftop," Lydia sneered. "Why don't you pick a fight with someone your own size? Are you scared to need another trip to the hospital?"
"It's okay, we were just worried about yeh," Win murmured, squeezing her tightly to her, completely ignoring Delilah and her friends.
"I ain't scared of you, slag!" Delilah scoffed, tossing her hair over her shoulder, her gaze taking in the two Nathans. "Aw, isn't that cute, you all dressed up like the dorks you are."
"I know you're not the brightest, but everyone here is dressed up!  C'mere, prick," Nate pulled Brett closer.  "Did you defend her? At least tell me y'said something!" he hissed and the boy nodded.
"Did the last beating I gave you make you lose your fuckin’ memory?" Lydia held Delilah by the straps of her top. "Don't ever talk to my sister, don't even look at my sister or you won't live to regret it!  And any one of you fuckers who wants what she's having, get in line!" she growled before letting go.
Fear flickered in Delilah's eyes for a moment as she backed away from Lydia. Once she was flanked by her friends once more, however, she shook it off and tossed her hair again.  "Whatever, you're fuckin' crazy. You and Winrey both," she sneered. "C'mon, let's find somewhere less lame to get high," she said to her friends, flipping Win off as she walked back down the stairs.
"Fuck off!" Lydia shouted before going to check on Blossom. "You okay?"
"Yeah, nothing happened, I was just angry cuz they said Simon’s a creep."
"Well fuck ‘em, he might be a creep, but he's our creep," Nate joked. "Who cares what they think?"
"I'm sorry she showed up, I didn't think she'd be here," Win murmured, stroking Blossom's hair.
"Maybe we should call it a night and take you guys home," Nats suggested, checking the time on his phone.
"That's not fair! I gotta go home because of her?" Blossom pouted. "You promised me two drinks, I only got one!"
"One and y’ran away t'do God knows what with your boyfriend!" Nate scolded.
"No need to freak out, it wasn't even second base, it was like first base and a half..."
"Y-yeah! Even when she stays over, we don't do anything bad, we just kiss and cuddle," Brett blurted out, before noticing his mistake when he saw the look in the boys' eyes.
"What d'you mean when she stays over?!" Nats exclaimed, gaping at Brett.
"You're so dense sometimes," Blossom groaned, giving her boyfriend a shove.
"What? I didn't think it was a big deal! The portal comes into my room so she spends the night sometimes..." Brett murmured.
"Does dad know about this?" Nate asked, folding his arms.
"Yeah, he gave us condoms but we never used them. The most we ever did was touch ourselves at the same time–"
"Jesus! Stop talking!" Blossom screamed, pinching the bridge of her nose.
Win couldn't believe how upset Nate seemed. She thought about telling him she did much worse at that age before deciding against it, not wanting to rile him further.
Nate took a deep breath as he realized there was absolutely nothing he could do to change the situation or stop them. "Well, I guess you're right, brother, we should go home," he nudged his twin's arm before heading to the door.
"Wow, I'm surprised how quickly he let that go," Win muttered, sharing a look with Lydia.
"You really think he let that go? He's furious, you know when he gets so angry he shuts down," Lydia whispered.
Win let out a sigh. “Y’know, after we take the kids back, we don’t have t’go home just yet…” she said, wrapping her arms around Nate’s waist from behind.
"Y'wanna come back here?" Nate asked, still pretty much heartbroken to know his precious little Lollipop was not as innocent as he imagined.
“Whatever you wanna do, babe,” Win murmured, squeezing under his arm to look up at him. “Whatever will cheer you up.”
"You're being more mature than I imagined," Lydia turned to Nats. "Come on, Blossom, we can do a sleepover next Friday.  It's getting kinda late and dad will be worried."
"Okaaaay," she whined, following them.
“Me, mature?” Nats laughed, though it was strained. “Yeah, I’m takin’ this news super well.”
The walk back to Lyddie's old home was awkward to say the least. The boys were as quiet as they had ever been, Blossom was giving Brett the cold shoulder and the girls didn't really know what to say to make it better.
"Well, I have work pretty soon, so I better get back," Brett mumbled. "Are you still coming for our date tomorrow?"
"Yeah, I'll be there," the girl nodded with a sigh.
Win waved as Brett left to go take the portal back, looking between the boys and Blossom. “I hope you had a little fun tonight, despite everything…” she murmured, pulling the girl in for a hug.
"Of course I did," Blossom hugged her back before giving Lydia a hug and stopping in front of the boys. "Hey, I'm still me.  I'm sorry you had to find all of that out, especially like that, but I also don't like keeping secrets from you."
"Don't let him pressure you t'do stuff you don't wanna do," Nate murmured, pulled her into his arms. "Trust me, make sure he respects yeh."
"I will, don't worry. I'm still too young for that."
Nats joined in on the hug as well and Win felt her heart clench with affection at the sight.
Who knew Nathan Young could be so… fatherly?  What happened to ‘goin’ after young impressionable girls while they were drunk’?
"I think my ovaries just exploded," Lydia whispered to her wife.
Blossom gave each of the boys a kiss on the cheek before heading to the door. "I love you guys."
"We love you too," Nate waved.
“So, what now?” Win asked as the boys rejoined them by the curb. “Any last Halloween tricks we wanna play?”
"I need another drink," Nate wrapped his arm around Win's waist. "And t’get you out of this costume."
“That’s more like it,” Win laughed. “I’ve got some treats for you under here, after all,” she purred, winking up at him.
"So much better than a stupid party," Nate leaned over to kiss her cleavage.
"Things might change, but never how much I love you... or how fuckin' hot you are."
"I'm proud of you," Lydia giggled, taking Nats' arm.
“For what?” he asked, throwing Lydia a confused look.
"For not freaking out, for being supportive," Lydia leaned against him. "That's definitely a huge turn on."

"For a lot of you, opening night is in two weeks!"
The director took a deep breath before continuing.  "You're doing great, but I need you to know this entire show like the back of your hand if we're gonna make it perfect.  Class dismissed!" he joked, clapping his hands together.
Lydia had been slowly building a resistance to performing, the more she rehearsed, the less tired she was after each run through and she couldn't wait to use that while stage-dooring with the fans. ‘We're done early, going home’, she texted Win, since she'd been asking earlier what time practice would end.
‘Lucky I got here early then lol’, Win texted back, already catching sight of Lydia’s bright coloured pony tail.  Usually she just waited for her fiancé at home, but today Win wanted to get out of the apartment for a bit, plus she was hoping to take Lyddie shopping before returning home.
——
“Mmm, Winnie...” Win’s Nathan whined, stretching, not yet ready to commit to opening his eyes yet as he reached for the closest warm body in the bed with him.
Lyddie's Nathan was still very much asleep; he was at that stage where any outside noises blended into his dreams. "Five minutes, Lollipop," he mumbled with a sigh, kissing the arm that embraced him.
Win’s Nathan hummed as he felt Win kiss his arm and he tightened his grip on her.
Lyddie's Nathan started to slowly wake when he noticed the person embracing him was taller than Win… and didn't have Lydia's breasts that he liked to lean against. "Lollipop?"
“Hmmm? Win?” Win’s Nathan asked groggily, squeezing the person in his arms tighter before he realized it definitely did not feel like Win.
Lyddie's Nathan slowly opened up his eyes.  "Jesus Christ!" he yelped, jumping away when he saw neither of the girls were in bed, and that the person holding him was his clone.
At his doppleganger’s exclamation, Win’s Nathan gave a jerk, finally opening his own eyes to find his twin in his arms and he screamed, quickly scrambling from the bed. “What the fuck, mate! Where’s Win?”
"How am I s'posed to know?" Lyddie's Nathan shouted, running to the opposite side of the room as if he was running from the devil. "Oh my fuckin'... can't just go around holdin' someone like that!"
“I thought you were Winnie! I was deep asleep!” Win’s Nathan cried. “It wasn’t like I did it on purpose!”
"I know..." Lyddie's Nathan groaned, clenching his eyes shut. "Let's just never tell the girls about this, alright? It doesn't have t'be weird, you're me and I'm you so it's like... it's like masturbation."
“Agreed, they can never know!” Win’s Nathan exclaimed, throwing a shirt over his head. “Besides, it’s not like I was gettin’ off or anything! I only have a semi cause it’s morning!”
"True, true... and I only kissed you, 'cause I thought it was Lyds! We're just gonna live our lives and forget it ever happened, it's not like it's the first time," Lyddie's Nathan shook his head, trying to forget the heart tattoo incident.
“Yep, yep, exactly.  It never happened!” Win’s Nathan agreed, catching sight of a piece of paper by the nightstand. “Looks like Win went to go meet Lyds, so they might not be back for a while.”
"Oh, did she say where they were goin'?" Lyddie's Nathan asked, looking over his clone's shoulder, but quickly backed off when he noticed how close he was, quickly making a b-line for the kitchen.
“Says she wanted t’take Lyddie shopping,” Win’s Nathan answered, following his twin out. “What’s Lyddie got for leftovers?” he asked, leaning against the counter, keeping his distance.
Lyddie's Nathan sighed as he opened the fridge. "There's some beef stew, mashed potatoes, rice..."
“I’ll eat whatever,” Win’s Nathan shrugged. “So, what d’you wanna do while th’girls are indisposed?” he asked, pulling out a couple of plates.
"I don't know..." Lyddie's Nathan shoved everything in the microwave and hoped for the best. "D'you wanna play a game or somethin'? We could watch a movie if you'd like."
“Movie’s always good. I like watchin’ stuff from th’future,” Win’s Nathan chuckled.
"Yeah, me too," Lyddie's Nathan nearly burnt himself taking the plates out of the microwave. "Sometimes Lyds says some shit about the future, and I never know if she's jokin' or not."
“Yeah? Like what?” Win’s Nathan asked, nearly burning his own hand as he took the plate from his twin.
"She told me about creepy clowns walkin' around and nobody knew what was happenin', and one time the world stopped 'cause nobody could decide if a dress was gold or blue," Lyddie's Nathan snorted. "Sounds made up t’me..."
Win’s Nathan shuddered at ‘clowns’ before shoving a forkful of food into his mouth. “What d’you think mum’ll say when she finds out there’s two of us... and that we’re marryin’ two chicks?”
"Ow... I didn't think 'bout that," Lyddie's Nathan inhaled sharply. "I don't think she'll be too happy, she wasn't thrilled when there was just one, imagine two! She might faint again.”
“Yeahh...” Win’s Nathan agreed with a twist of his lips. “Though I think she’d like Win and Lyds.”
"She loves Lyds, she kept tellin' me that I finally found a good one," Lyddie's Nathan rolled his eyes. "She'll love Win too."
“I hope so...” Win’s Nathan murmured, setting his plate down. “Never got th’chance to bring her round t’mum’s yet. Dad seemed t’like her... maybe a little too much,” he grumbled.
"Same thing with Lyds! He never said hi t'her y'know?" Lyddie's Nathan shook his head remembering that night in the police station. "He turned t'me and asked 'who's the bird?', fuckin' gross, man."
Win’s Nathan groaned. “D’you think we should invite him... y’know, to th’wedding?”
"I wouldn't, it's not like he'd come anyway... specially knowin' mum's gonna be there and drag th’dog with her," Lyddie's Nathan scoffed. "It might be worse if he does show up, Lyds told me he caused a scene at my original wedding."
“Ohh, classic Mike Young,” Win’s Nathan grumbled, rolling his eyes. He’d been sort of holding out hope, especially after Jamie, that their dad might actually try harder, but it didn’t seem like it.
"I don't wanna risk it with the girls, I want it t'be perfect for them," Lyddie's Nathan had been scared of the wedding, he wasn't even sure how it’d be done.
“Me too,” Win’s Nathan muttered. He’d been thinking about it a lot actually. “How... uh, I mean...” he groaned, pressing the heels of his hands to his eyes. “Ah fuck...”
"We could try to pass it as a double wedding..." Lyddie's Nathan mused. "Or find a hippie officiant who doesn't care about that. Maybe we can do an alternative union, or somethin'."
“Yeah maybe,” Win’s Nathan agreed, picturing how each of the girls would look, his heart aching for it. “Ughh, what’s takin’ ‘em so long?” he whined, flopping back amongst the cushions.
"What? Am I that horrible t'spend time with?" Lyddie's Nathan mocked, following his clone to the couch. "I thought we were havin' some quality twin time... d'you have any ideas for the honeymoon?"
Win’s Nathan glanced over at his clone. It wasn’t that he disliked spending time with him, he just missed the girls. It was kinda odd when they weren’t around. “We could always go t’one of those fancy beach resorts. Or maybe Spain? Italy? I dunno man, somewhere warm, where they can wear bikinis all th’time. That is if we ever let em leave th’bedroom,” he laughed, waggling his eyebrows.
"I like the way you think..." Lyddie's Nathan bit his lip in excitement. He missed the girls as well, but he enjoyed those moments when it was just the two of them. "We could go to some tropical paradise, I've always wanted t'drink from a coconut."
“Ha!” Win’s Nathan exclaimed, “Me too! Oh man, it’ll be great. Other important question. Bachelor party? Thoughts?”
"I kinda wanted t'do somethin' classy, like cigars and poker..." Lyddie's Nathan leaned back with both arms behind his head. "I've never smoked a cigar, and I can't play poker, but we can figure it out."
“Eh, how hard can it be?” Win’s Nathan laughed. “I’d say we should go back t’Vegas, but I’m banned for life.”
"Man... how th’fuck did you do that?" Lyddie's Nathan widened his eyes. "I did some pretty questionable shit over there, but none of them got me banned."
Win’s Nathan chuckled nervously. “Got arrested for cheatin’, didn’t exactly stick around for the court date after I posted bail,” he explained.
"Oh, so you got caught... not gonna lie, I probably would've if Lyds wasn't there," Lyddie's Nathan admitted. "She watched me like a hawk the entire time t'make sure I wouldn't mess it up, that's how we got the money for this flat."
Win’s Nathan crossed his arms over his chest as a sour expression crossed his face. “Yeah, well, I shouldn’ta trusted Nikki t’be my gamblin’ partner,” he grumbled. “I wanted t’surprise Win, so I let her sleep.”
"Yeah, Nikki hates our guts, dunno why..." Lyddie's Nathan could think of a few reasons, but none of them big enough to justify her rage. "Don't worry, man, next time the girls go on tour, we'll just casually skip Vegas, or we could use our power t'get you in."
“Yeah, no kiddin’. I would like t’go back to Vegas sometime,” Win’s Nathan exclaimed. “Hey!” he yelped, sitting up suddenly. “I just thought of somethin’! If we could use magic t’get me back into Vegas, why can’t we just magick our marriage certificate or whatever!”
"We could do that..." Lyddie's Nathan grinned, happiness filling him the more he thought about it. "The girls are gonna lose it when we tell them! We can actually get married, all of us! Well, almost all of us, but y'get it," he corrected.
“Hell yeah!” Win’s Nathan cried, high fiving his twin. “I’m a genius,” he boasted with a huge grin.
"Let's not exaggerate..." Lyddie's Nathan taunted. "You're okay, we both know I'm the real genius in this household."
“Oh right, that just means I’m the one that’s good at sex,” he pointed out, remembering what Lyddie’d said the other morning. “Ha!” he exclaimed, pointing at his twin.
"No! I meant I'm the sex genius of this household, you're the genius of less important matters, like... like taxes and shit," Lyddie's Nathan argued. "Just ask the girls when they're back!"
“Jokes on you, I know nothin’ about taxes!” Win’s Nathan exclaimed. “And I will!” he announced.
"Prepare for a rude awakenin', mate..." Lyddie's Nathan quirked an eyebrow smugly.
——
"Hey babe!"  Lydia ran to give Win a hug after seeing the text. "We live two minutes away, you didn't have to pick me up," she said despite being very happy with the surprise. "I missed you!"
“I missed you too!” Win exclaimed, squeezing Lyddie back. “I was actually awake and figured I’d come get you, plus I wanted to walk a bit.  Maybe we could look at a couple shops on th’way home?” she suggested hopefully.
"Sounds nice, did you have anywhere in mind?" Lydia asked before kissing Win's forehead and taking her hand. "The Manhattan Mall isn't that far if you wanna go... what are we buying?"
“Perfect!  I thought we might pick out a new outfit for you, for your birthday,” Win suggested.
"Aww, you're so sweet." Lydia took Win's hand as they crossed the street heading to their destination.
“Y’know, I don’t think we’ve ever been clothes shopping together,” Win mused as they walked into the mall, passing several stores til they found one that had some cute clothes that matched Lydia’s aesthetic.
"Yeah, I don't think so either." Lydia couldn't stop smiling.  "Soooo, what type of outfit should I get?  Cause, I don't know exactly what we're doing, so how can I possibly dress for the occasion?" she teased.
Win thought for a moment, they’d be both inside and outside, and it was starting to get colder out. “Maybe a skirt and jumper with some leggings,” she suggested, letting her hands slide over some of the hanging clothes.
"Okay..." Lydia agreed, looking for anything colorful or covered in sequins. "Y'know, Thanksgiving is coming soon, I was thinking we could do something special."
“Oh yeah,” Win nodded, “It is, isn’t it? I can’t remember having ever really celebrated before,” she murmured. “We could make a dinner together... if you wanted.”
"That's what I was thinking!  We could make dinner, then cuddle under the blankets watching some feel-good movie... I wanna show you guys how thankful I am for having you," Lydia said, mindlessly looking through a pile of jumpers.
“That sounds absolutely perfect,” Win agreed with a sigh. “Did y’find anything you like yet? This skirt’s kinda cute,” she said holding up the plaid pleated one she’d found.
"Yeah, I like that," Lydia nodded, grabbing a baby blue jumper with pink hearts all over it. "I love that combo, I'm gonna look like Baby Spice," she giggled. "She used to be my fashion icon as a kid."
Win laughed. “Scary Spice was always my favourite,” she said, following Lyddie to the changing rooms in the back. “You always look so cute no matter what you wear,” she murmured, fixing her hair as she caught her reflection.
"Not as cute as you, babe." Lydia gave Win a quick kiss before starting to undress. "Are you not buying anything for yourself? I was looking forward to watching you change," she joked.
“Oh, I wasn’t planning on it, but if you wanna pick out something for me, I will,” Win replied with a grin. “Or I could just take my clothes off for the hell of it,” she laughed.
"That's always a plan," Lydia put on the new outfit and looked at herself. Something about that jumper was making her feel odd. "The skirt is very cute... but I think I might go with a sexier top, I can't get sick anyway," she chuckled nervously.
“Okay…” Win said, tilting her head to study Lyddie’s reflection. “I’ll pick something else out for you and myself if y’want,” she offered, taking the jumper to return to the shelf.
"Yes, please, like a crop top or something with cleavage..." Lydia sat down, it was weird, when she envisioned the outfit, it was nice, but when she saw herself in it, that was another story.
“You got it, babe,” Win exclaimed, hurrying out to find something else. Five minutes later she returned with a low cut black top for Lyddie and a similar outfit for herself. “How’s this? Better?” she asked, holding the top out for Lyddie.
"Much better," Lydia smiled, putting it on. "You have great taste," she took a deep breath, looking in the mirror. "I was aiming for Baby Spice and landed on young me.  Remind me to never put on an oversized jumper again."
“I was gunna ask what was wrong with it,” Win mused as she undressed, bending to pull the skirt up around her hips. “I thought you looked cute.”
"It just didn't feel right."  Lydia thought about trying on some high heels, but she didn't need to get any taller. "I haven't worn oversized anything since I was fourteen.  It just doesn't look good on me."
Win finished dressing and frowned slightly. “You wear Nathans’ oversized shirts,” she pointed out, coming to stand next to Lyddie at the mirror.
"At home, yeah.  I'd never wear it out without a belt or a corset," Lydia explained, admiring Win's reflection. "It makes me feel like the most undesirable person on the planet," she laughed.
“Uhm, hate t’break it t’you, but you could be wearing a burlap sack and I’d still be crazy attracted to you babe,” Win countered with a grin. “Even if you didn’t have your colourful hair or wore glasses, I’d still be right here by your side, beggin’ t’shag you senseless.”
"Winnie..." Lydia blushed, looking down to avoid her eyes. "You haven't seen me with glasses, I left them in England just to make sure I would even think about it. Glasses can be sexy, but not on me. You just say that 'cause you love me, and I love you too."
“You’re right, I do love you,” Win murmured, raising up on her toes to kiss the corner of Lyddie’s mouth. “But even if you were just some girl I’d never seen before and you looked like that, I’d still be attracted t’you. But it’s okay if y’don’t believe me,” she said fondly, stepping back to admire her.
"I want to believe you..." Lydia smiled, draping her arms around Win's neck. "I guess we'll find out in a few years. Si had a vision a while ago when we were at the Brooks Atkinson that I'd get to be Dawn in Waitress, for that I'll need short brown hair and glasses."
“Sounds good,” Win quipped, snaking her arms around Lydia’s waist.
"You are so amazing, you know that? It should be illegal for someone so sweet to be so hot, and funny, and talented, it's not fair for the rest of the world," Lydia murmured before gently pressing her lips to Win's.
“I’m not all that,” Win protested weakly, not wanting to pull away.
"You're so much more," Lydia whispered. "You make me feel so special, I don't know how you do it, but you do... I love you."
“You deserve to feel special,” Win murmured against Lyddie’s lips. “You’re the best woman I could ever ask for. I love you too, babe.”
"You're gonna make me cry," Lydia only half-joked. "I can't believe I'm gonna have to pick my wedding dress without your help, that's gonna be a tough one."  She took one last look in the mirror before changing back into her clothes.
“What? Why would you have t’pick it out without me?” Win asked with a frown, undressing as well.
"You can't see your bride in her dress before the wedding, neither can I... it's bad luck." Lydia knew it was a silly superstition, but she didn't wanna risk it. "I'll have to go by myself or take the girls with me."
“Oh, right...” Win murmured, biting her lip. She hadn’t thought of that. She didn’t wanna go without Lyddie, but if it meant that much to her, she didn't wanna upset her. “Are you... a little overwhelmed with everything we’ll have t’plan?” she asked hesitantly, pulling her jeans back up.
"Well kinda, I don't know what we're gonna do, how we're gonna do it, but at the same time it's exciting, isn't it?" Lydia looked at the three rings stacked on her finger. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with all of you, and I can't wait to see you in a wedding dress."
“I can’t wait either,” Win breathed, trying to imagine how beautiful Lyddie would look. “C’mon, let’s go pay for these,” she said, opening the dressing room door. “After this, wanna grab a coffee or something?” she asked, not ready to head home yet, selfishly wanting a little more time with Lydia to herself.
"Sure, I want something sweet, like those little cake pops from Starbucks, or brownies." Lydia’d been avoiding desserts in preparation for the opening night, but it wouldn’t hurt just this once. "And then maybe we could take the 6th Avenue on the way home, the walk is a bit longer, but we get to pass next to the Bryant Park."
“Perfect!” Win exclaimed, paying for their new clothes and pulling Lyddie with her. Soon Win had a coffee in hand while Lyddie snacked on her treat. “What d’you think the boys have been up to while we’ve been gone?” she mused.
"I don't really know what boys do together... watching porn, playing video games, sleeping," Lydia suggested, tilted her head as her thumb made circles on the back of Win's hand. "Thank God I left some food for them, so they don't burn the entire building down tryin’ to make something."
“Very good idea.  I know you all like to joke about my cooking abilities, but I trust them even less in the kitchen,”’ Win laughed.  “I’m glad they’re getting along now,” she added, her voice sobering.
"Aw c’mon, you're getting so much better in the kitchen, I actually like your food!"  Lydia leaned against Win, kissing her cheek softly. "It makes me happy to see them having fun, they really are like a pair of twins... it's so cute to watch."
Win smiled as she sipped her coffee. “They really are, I’m glad he gets to sort of have a brother again,” she mused, looping her arm with Lyddie’s as they walked. She was glad Lydia had suggested this route; the park was lovely.
"Yeah, let's just hope his mum doesn't have a fit when she sees the two of them," Lydia laughed, distracted by the crunchy sound of the fallen leaves. "She freaked out about his power, imagine if she knows about the multiverse theory."
“Well, her boyfriend’s a dog, so I think she’ll be able t’handle a little more weird news,” Win laughed. “Though, you know, I’ve never met her... not officially. Like I saw her at his... funeral, but...” Win trailed off, not wanting to think about that.
"Ah yeah, they should be getting married soon too, like next year I think. She's gonna love you, she loves me," Lydia mused, looking up at the gray sky, “and you're a lot more lovable," she teased. "One day you'll meet my mum too, at least I hope so."
Win squeezed Lyddie’s arm. “I’m sure I will,” she said, smiling softly up at her fiancé as they neared their building.
Before Lydia reached for her keychain, she pulled Win close. "I can't seem to find my keys... maybe after a kiss I'll remember where they are."  She wanted to enjoy the last few moments of Win's undivided attention.
Win cocked an eyebrow at Lyddie, a smirk snaking across her face. “Well, if that’ll jog your memory...” she mused, pulling Lyddie close and pressing her lips firmly to hers, deepening the kiss willingly, her hands lingering at her finace’s waist.
"Here,” Lydia pulled the keys from her back pocket, slightly dizzy with the feeling of Win's lips, "let's see what the boys didn't destroy while we were gone." She opened the first door.
Win slipped her hand in Lydia’s, twining their fingers together as they made their way back to their apartment door.
“Wait,” she said, stopping Lyddie as she tried to put the key in the lock. “One more kiss,” she pleaded.
"As many as you want, sweetheart."  Lyddie placed her hand on the back of Win's neck before their lips crashed once again. Their passionate kiss was only interrupted by the unmistakable sound the boys causing of a ruckus in the apartment.
Groaning, Win reluctantly pulled back, breaking the kiss. “We better see what they’re on about,” she muttered, letting Lyddie open the door. As soon as Win and Lydia stepped into the room, Win’s Nathan jumped up. “I’m th’sex genius! Tell him!” he exclaimed. “He’s just th’regular genius!”
"I don't know what I was expecting..." Lydia looked at Win. "What are you two even saying?"
"Y’know, the other day, that thing about one of us bein' smart, and the other bein' good at sex! He thinks he's the sexy one! Tell him, Lyds!" her Nathan rushed to kiss her neck and prove his point.
Win glanced over at Lydia, trying to hold back her laughter as her Nathan approached, biting his lip seductively. "Tell him, Winnie. I'm th'best at sex, right?"
"Both of you are the best at sex, that was a joke! Every time Simon and I would disagree on something like that, dad would say: one of you is right and the other gets a cookie," Lydia laughed, mussing her Nathan's hair. "Don't worry, you're both irresistible."
Win's Nathan pouted, glaring over at his twin. "I feel tricked," he muttered with a sour twist to his lips.
"Aw, poor baby, what do I have to do to make you believe me?" Lydia squished his face between her hands.
"I can think of a few things," he replied, his lips twitching as Win rolled her eyes.
"And what things did you have in mind?" Lydia drawled.
"Hey! Not fair!" Lyddie's Nathan protested. "Y'know she likes the pout, that's playin' dirty!"
"Why don't y'take off your clothes and I'll show yeh," Win's Nathan winked, ignoring his brother and pulling Lyddie into the room.
"Oh my God," Win muttered, carrying the shopping bag inside as she pressed the door shut with her back.
"Can y'believe that shit?" Lyddie's Nathan watched as his clone disappeared into the bedroom with Lydia. "You don't think he's better at sex, do ya?"  He took the bags from Win, trying not to sound too insecure.
Win gave him a long suffering look before stepping into his space, taking his hands in hers. "No, I don't think he's better," she murmured, catching his eye. "I think you're both amazing, just in different ways."
"I'll take it... maybe we're just both geniuses," Lyddie's Nathan nodded slowly. "Any chance y'wanna take your clothes off too?"  He gave her a hopeful look.
“Mayyyybe,” she teased, letting go of his hands to slowly lift the hem of her shirt.
"Shower or couch?" Lyddie's Nathan asked, hypnotized by the sight of Win's thighs.
Whatever you’d rather, mister sex genius,” she laughed, letting the rest of her clothes drop to the floor.
——
"So, what did you wanna show me, Natty?" Lydia threw her leggings across the room.
“Wanted t’show you my sexual prowess, so you don’t forget who th’real sex genius is,” he purred, getting naked as well.
"I remember saying you're both sex geniuses..." she mumbled, too distracted by Win's Nathan. "But I'm not opposed to that, you can show me."
Tossing her down to the bed, Win’s Nathan practically leapt atop her, pulling her legs open, his mouth dragging down the inside of her thigh. “I love you, Lyddie, you’re so fucking hot, babe,” he groaned against her skin as his hands wandered higher.
"Oh, I love you too," Lydia breathed, arching into his touch, her fingers buried in his curls. "Please, baby, I want you so bad," she begged, hoping he would understand what she wanted.
Not one for drawn out foreplay, Win's Nathan buried his face between Lydia's thighs, lapping at her clit eagerly, his fingers sliding into her, pumping several times before he switched tactics, pulling out to circle her other hole, easing her into it like the last time.
"Nathan..." Lydia didn't expect that, but she wasn't complaining, she wanted to feel the way she felt that day. "That's so good, Natty, you're so good to me."
“Yeah? Y’like that?” he asked, lifting his face to look at her. “I wanna make y’feel so good,” he murmured, pressing slowly into her, working her til he could fit two fingers while he sucked at her clit.
Lydia gasped, carefully watching Win's Nathan's movements. "Yeah, I love it when you fill me like that." She’d been reluctant to try taking both Nathans at the same time like Win did, but she wanted more.
“You want more, Lyddie? Y’want my cock?” Win’s Nathan asked, eager to give it to her. “
"Yes! Yes, please, Natty, I want you," Lydia whined, squirming. "But..." she wasn't sure if she ever made that request before. "Be gentle with me?"
“Course, love,” Win’s Nathan exclaimed, bending to place one more chaste kiss to her cunt before crawling atop her to reach in the bedside drawer for a condom and some lube, pausing to kiss her thoroughly.  Wrapped and lubed up he pressed his tip to her hole, watching her face carefully as his thumb circled her clit. “You ready?” he asked breathlessly.
"I'm ready," Lydia felt a mix of excitement and anxiety though she knew everything would be fine. Win's Nathan (just like her own) could be a huge asshole, but he was a caring one. She trusted him to make sure she was okay and to stop if she wanted, he said it himself, he wanted to make her feel good. "I love you."
“I love you too, Lyds,” he replied, his expression softening as he said it, grinning down at her before he slowly pressed into her. Taking his time, centimeter by centimeter, letting her adjust as he filled her. “Fuck, you’re so tight. This tight little arsehole’s all mine,” he groaned, fighting not to come already.
"All yours..." Lydia threw her head back with a loud moan. It felt weird at first, but after she got used to it, she started really enjoying herself. "Kiss me," she nearly whispered, looking back at him, his words still sending shivers down her spine.
Still moving slowly, pulling out to slide back into her, the slow pace and her tightness almost too much, Nathan obeyed, leaning forward to kiss her, hoping it would distract him so he could hold out longer, wanting to make sure she felt just as good as he did. “Fuck, Lyddie, you’re such a good girl,” he murmured against her lips. “You’re takin’ my cock so well,” he groaned, bracing himself with one hand so the other could continue to massage her clit.
Lydia moaned into Win's Nathan's kiss, feeling her pleasure building up fast "I wanna be good for you," she whimpered. "I'm getting close, keep going, Natty, please, I need you."
“I’m close too, sweetheart,” he mumbled, keeping his thrusts measured while his fingers mashed desperately against her clit. “Fuck, I need you too. You’re so good t’me. So good.” He could feel his climax building. “Come for me Lyddie, please!”
"Oh, Nathan!" Lydia cried out, letting that delicious rush take over, capturing his lips again to avoid screaming too loud with the intensity of her climax. "Come for me, daddy," she panted, not even stopping to think before the words spilled out of her mouth.
At Lydia’s words, Win’s Nathan’s eyes shot open and as if it were a switch being flipped inside him, he came almost instantly, crying out in pleasure as he gave several last jerky thrusts, filling the condom. “Holy fuck,” he exclaimed wearily, pulling out of Lyddie and looked down at her in wonder. “Where did that come from?” he exclaimed, panting. “Not that I’m complainin’, just... Jesus.”
"I don't know," Lydia laughed, hiding against a pillow to cover how red she was. "I couldn't help it, it just felt... oh my God–” She wanted to disappear, but at the same time she was glad he seemed to like it.
Nathan quickly pulled the condom off, tossing it in the trash can before pulling the pillow away from Lydia’s face so he could see her. “You have no idea how fuckin’ hot that was. Please, call me that again when we’re... y’know,” he begged, peppering her with kisses.
"I thought I had that one under control, the one kink I managed to hide from you all," Lydia pulled him close with a giggle, still trying to hide from him. "But I'll do it if you like it... that was really good, I didn't think it would be, but it was."
“Wait, so y’never called th’other me that before?” Win’s Nathan asked incredulously, feeling rather special, pulling Lyddie into his arms.
"No, I was too embarrassed, but you did just take my virginity.”  Lydia kissed the beauty mark next to his collar bone. "Well, half of it anyway, I was feeling kinda... vulnerable."
“Aw baby,” he cooed, running his fingers through her long hair. “I love yeh so much. I feel incredibly lucky t’share this with you...” he murmured, looking up at her through his long lashes.
"You're so sweet, sometimes I forget how adorable you can be." Lydia twisted one of Nathan's curls, pressing her lips to his jaw. "Next time I could do it to you... if that's something you want."
Nathan’s eyebrows rose. “I’d like that,” he replied, swallowing. It had been a while since he’d been pegged and the thought of another first with Lyddie excited him. “You look so hot with that strap-on on.”
"We can certainly make it happen." Lydia stretched before carefully sitting up. "I'm so thirsty, do you want something?" she looked back before taking his shirt and putting it on.
——
"C'mere," Lyddie's Nathan took Win's hand as they headed to the bathroom. "Let's relax a little, shall we?"
“That sounds nice,” Win murmured, letting Lyddie’s Nathan lead her, trying not to look too excited.
"I bet it does."  He smacked Win's ass before turning the shower on and stepping in and taking her hand. "Y'look so sexy right now,"
Win stepped into the shower after him, tripping slightly to land against his slick chest, the water soaking them both.
"Careful, Winnie." Lyddie's Nathan held her close before leaning in to kiss her, his hands sliding with ease up and down her body.
"Guess I can't help falling for you," Win joked, grimacing at how cheesy the line sounded as soon as it came out of her mouth, quickly pressing her face to his chest as she wrapped her arms around his back.
"That's so cute!" Nathan chuckled, he wanted to hold her forever, but he also wanted to fuck her until she screamed. "Turn around for me, sweetheart, against the wall."
Win obeyed, pausing to take one of his hardened nipples into her mouth, flicking her tongue against it before biting down gently. As she turned, she looked at him seductively over her shoulder, swaying her ass enticingly as she bent over.
"Fuck, Winnie," Lyddie's Nathan growled, smacking her ass once more, harder this time. "Y'love bein' a little tease don'tcha?"  He wrapped one arm around her, his fingers quickly finding her clit, massaging it slowly.
“Yeah, you like it too,” Win said with a cocky smirk, gasping as he touched her.
"You're right about that, love," Lyddie's Nathan purred, kissing her neck and kneading her breasts while the tip of his cock teased her entrance. "Tell me, what you want, Winnie."
“I want you t’fuck me til I’m screaming,” she replied, arousal coursing through her as he teased her folds. “I want you t’fill me. Use me, Natty,” she begged, so different from the other day when she wanted him to be gentle.
"Naughty little thing..." Lyddie's Nathan took both of Win's hands, pinning her against the wall and pressing his body against her. "Be a good girl for me and tell me when you're close," he demanded while slowly filling her completely.
“Ahh—“ Win cried, moaning as Lyddie’s Nathan pushed into her, holding her so she couldn’t move. “Yes, Natty,” she gasped, surprised at just how commanding he could be. She’d never seen her Nathan like that before.
"Hmmm you feel so good, baby girl," Lyddie's Nathan murmured, his other hand making its way to Win's neck, his fingers just lightly pressing into her skin, but without choking her yet. "Look at’cha... so beautiful, so well behaved for me."
“Mhmm,” Win whined, heat filling her as his hand circled her throat. With each rough thrust she rocked against the wall, the water not quite drowning out the lewd slap of his skin on hers as he pounded into her from behind. “Please Nathan,” she whimpered, her legs shuddering.
With a smirk, Lyddie's Nathan slightly tightened his grip on Win's neck while thrusting firmly into her. "That's right, Winnie... y'like that? Does it feel good?"  He had only done this once to her, and the first time was slightly traumatic, so he just wanted to make sure everything was okay.
“Fuck yes. Yes, it feels good! Just like that, please Nate! I’m so close!” Win cried, her voice hoarse with his hand tightening against her throat. She was seeing stars already, the heady mixture of pain and pleasure filling her. “God, please!” she whined.
"Come for me, baby, you've been so good, my good girl deserves it," Lyddie's Nathan kissed the back of Win's neck, mercilessly slamming into her, each vigorous thrust pushing him closer to the edge.
Win cried out as her orgasm slammed into her, intensified by the lack of oxygen, and she gave a loud keening whine, unable to articulate words.
"Jesus, Winnie, you're so hot," Lyddie's Nathan moaned, pleasure blurring his vision for a moment before he was able to focus again. "Are you okay?" he immediately let go of Win's neck and took her in his arms.
“I—I think so,” she murmured weakly, though her legs felt like water and she was still a little lightheaded. “God, that was hot, babe,” she panted, holding onto him.
"Yeah, it was..." Lyddie's Nathan turned the shower off and grabbed a towel, wrapping it around Win's limp body to keep her warm. "Y'did so good, I love you so much, princess."
“I love you too, Nathan,” Win replied, pressing a kiss to his wet chest. She didn’t know what it was about him that made her so eager to obey, to please him, but she liked it. He made her feel safe, even with his hand around her throat.
"Let's sit down a bit, alright?" Lyddie's Nathan wrapped a towel around his waist and carried Win out to the couch, unsure if the others were done or not. "I'll get some water for ya," he ran to the kitchen.
“Thank you, babe,” Win murmured as he returned, taking a sip of the water. “Am I gunna have a bruise?” she asked, her lips curling at the thought as she snuggled against him.
"I think so," Lyddie's Nathan smiled, kissing her forehead. He sure loved to be rough, but the aftercare was always the best part. "I could always make it disappear..." he teased.
Win pouted up at him. “Please don’t, at least not yet. I want them t’see,” she murmured, kissing his neck lazily.
"Ah, I see... y'wanna show off, y'little tart," Lyddie's Nathan laughed. "Okay, I like it."
"Is everyone decent?" Lydia knocked from the inside of the room.
"Absolutely not," her Nathan shouted back.
Win’s Nathan pulled his boxers on before following Lydia out to the other room, finding Win curled up in his twin’s lap on the couch, still wet from their ‘shower’.  “Jesus Win,” he exclaimed as he caught sight of the darkening bruise around her neck. How hard had he choked her? he wondered, his stomach flipping slightly.
"Oh yeah, look at that," Lydia lifted Win's chin and placed a kiss to her neck. "I love it when he does that. Don't worry, honey, it's not bad," she turned to Win's Nathan before heading to the kitchen while her Nathan watched her, rather proud of himself.
Win’s Nathan chewed his lip, unable to quite tear his gaze from the bruise as he took a spot on the couch. “Does it hurt?” he asked.
“Mmm, not really, it’s just a little tender,” Win mused, pulling Lyddie’s Nathan’s arms around her as she leaned her head against his shoulder. “I’m fine, babe, really,” she assured him, grinning sleepily, worn out. When Lyddie returned with her own water, Win’s Nathan caught her, pulling her into his lap as well.
"Careful," she moved to find a comfortable position. "I'm also a little tender," she whispered in his ear before kissing his neck. "So I see you had fun," she took Win's hand.
"That's an understatement..." her Nathan gloated. He thought it was hot to leave bruises, if Win wanted she could always borrow Lyddie's power. He didn't really understand why his clone got so upset.
“Mhmm,” Win hummed contently, eyeing Lyddie and the way she shifted in Nathan’s lap, her expression tensing for the briefest moment. “What about you, hmm?” she asked, running her thumb over Lydia’s knuckles.
"Oh you know... it was fun," Lyddie grinned, trying not to look too excited. "We had a good time."
"Seems you were right then," her Nathan didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary, “we are both sex geniuses."
Win laughed. “You really are,” she agreed, curious exactly what all her Nathan and Lyddie had done, but if she didn’t wanna say, she wouldn’t press. “So what did you two get up to while Lyds and I went shopping?” she asked, eyeing both Nathans curiously.
"Talkin', y'know, wedding stuff and whatnot." Lyddie's Nathan shrugged.
"Aww, you two were planning wedding stuff? That's so cute!" Lydia cried.
"Yeah, we were thinkin' maybe with a little magic, we could get married, like legally."
“Wait, really?” Win asked, sitting up straighter. “That’s amazing!”
“It was my idea!” her Nathan exclaimed proudly.
"You're full of great ideas..." Lydia pulled him closer. "It's gonna be perfect."
"Hey! What are you sayin'? That I don't have great ideas?" her Nathan folded his arms.
"No, sweetie, both of you have great ideas," she got up to take the empty glasses to the sink.
"That's right," her Nathan exclaimed, giving her a playful smack. "Jesus," she hissed. "Easy there."
“Yeah, careful killer,” Win’s Nathan exclaimed, watching Lyddie as she passed.
"Wha- Lyds! You're always complainin' I don't hit you hard enough!" Lyddie's Nathan shook his head.
"Well... today you gotta be a little more careful,” she chastised, fighting a smirk.
“Lyddie!” Win exclaimed. “Did you let him fuck you in the arse?” she cried.
"Wait, what?" Lyddie's Nathan nearly screamed. "Did ya?"
"I might've..." she snapped back, unable to look anyone in the eye.
“Did you like it?” Win asked, reaching for her hand. In her excitement she hadn’t meant to embarrass her.
"Yeah, it was good, did you?" she asked Win's Nathan, knowing his response.
“D’you even have t’ask? It was amazing. You’re amazing,” he insisted, wrapping his arm around her.
"You too, babe... now, enough about my arse!”  She leaned into his embrace, feeling her cheeks burn.  "We're gonna get married, for real, that's exciting!"
“I can’t wait,” Win sighed. “We should probably start planning.”

Dear Gentle Reader, Another social season is upon us and Miss Blossom Bellamy, this year’s potential Diamond, has just entered society in a much a more gracious manner than her elder sister Lydia, who has rebuked all suitors since her debut and is quickly on the way to spinsterhood, along with her closest friend Winrey Lewis.  However, when not one, but three eligible young gentlemen rejoin the ton after years of being away, the social scene is certain to be turned on it’s head. Let the race to find the perfect match begin!

❝Social season is officially upon us again," Lydia grumbled, stepping away from the pianoforte with an annoyed sigh when she saw her younger sister carrying yet another issue of Whistledown’s Society Papers, “also known as Lydia Bellamy's road to becoming a spinster!”
"That is your choice, sister," Blossom laughed, followed quickly by their father, who was trying to sneak a peek at the pamphlet over her shoulder.  "You have been in love with a boy you met ten years ago and refuse any other caller.  I am beginning to think you imagined this boy.  For heaven’s sake, a Viscount asked for your hand last year and you treated him no better than you would a rat!"
“Try to be a little happy for your sister, it's her first season and she is so excited to present in front of the Queen," Lord Charles murmured.  "Besides, perhaps someone will catch your eye yet, my dear.  Don't lose hope just yet."
“Have you seen the new Whistledown?” Win Lewis, Lydia’s closest friend, cried as she hurried into the Bellamy drawing room, holding the latest edition of the ton’s favourite gossip rag aloft.
Win’s family had lived across the street from the Bellamys since her father, Lord David Lewis remarried the dowager Lady Karen Edwards, and she and Lydia had been fast friends ever since.
"Yes!" Blossom exclaimed excitedly, straightening as the other woman entered the room.
"No."  Lydia rolled her eyes. "Why should I want to see what she has to say about my lack of a husband?  She believes me a shrew.  Honestly... why could you not be a man, Winnie? I would marry you in the blink of an eye,” she exclaimed.
“Oh, if only!” Win teased, pecking Lydia’s cheek as she flounced down next to her on the loveseat. “No, read this part!” she exclaimed, pointing to a column on the front page. “A new family is moving to Mayfair, and they have three eligible sons,” she said, lowering her voice conspiratorially.
"Wow... more mediocre men to fill in the spaces on my dance card," Lydia muttered, sarcasm dripping from every word as she glanced at the paragraph about the Irish Lords, a pair of twins and an older gentleman who inherited the estate after their father's disappearance. "Every man in the ton is the same, they see me as some sort of porcelain doll that will break if they so much as look at me wrong.❞
"Should you want them to see you as a bitch in heat?" Lady Linda Bellamy scoffed as she entered the room followed by her oldest, Simon. "You would be lucky to find someone like the Viscount!  Gentle, sophisticated, intelligent, polite–"
Win tried to hide her smile at Lady Bellamy’s words—she knew her best friend’s tastes were everything but what her mother had listed.  “You haven’t even met them yet, perhaps they’ll be more interesting than you think,” she murmured, nudging Lydia in the side.
"I suppose we shall know tonight at the ball, I am expected to attend... mama would certainly disown me if I would prefer to practice the pianoforte instead," Lydia grimaced.
"Good thing you know," Lady Bellamy said, fixing Simon's collar once more.  "So handsome, every debutant will be looking at you tonight," she murmured fondly, ignoring the sour look on her daughter’s face.
"At least we'll be able to attend together," Win reminded her before turning her attention to the other Bellamy sister.  "Are you excited for your introduction to society, Blossom?"
"So excited!  I can't wait to get married and live my very own fairytale with my husband," Blossom squealed in excitement.
"Isn't she adorable?" Lydia teased, pinching her sister's cheek.
"How about you, Simon? Any ladies caught your eye yet?" Win asked, still grinning at Blossom's enthusiasm.
"Not particularly.  I-I might wait a little longer, the last thing I want is to steal Blossom's thunder by getting married as well," Simon explained, ever so shy and reserved.
"I wish my step sister was half as kind as you, Simon," Win muttered, flopping back to lean against Lydia's shoulder.
"Delilah is the shrew Whistledown should be writing about!  She has no class and no beauty, I pity the unlucky man she ends up with," Lydia huffed, folding her arms.
"She's been absolutely horrible over the winter, and now my step-mama is putting all her efforts into finding her a match.  She's already ordered twice as many dresses from the modiste as she has for me," Win grumbled, her lips twitching into a frown.
"And your papa says nothing?" Lord Bellamy asked, frowning.
"He seems too cowed by her.  I wish he would stand up to her from time to time," Win sighed.
"Do not worry, Winrey.  If you should ever need a dress, Blossom has dozens she has never had the chance to wear before her figure... changed so fast," Charles offered.
"Besides, you do not need to rely on appearances to make yourself interesting," Lydia added. "You are a better catch than Delilah will ever be, with or without new dresses."
"Thank you Lord Bellamy, you are too kind," Win added before taking Lydia's hand and giving it a squeeze. "Thank you Lyds, you are the best," she whispered.

"Well, this isn't too bad.”  Nathan muttered, opening the door to his new room.  The house wasn't nearly as spacious as the one they had back in Ireland, but it was satisfactory.
"I am sure you'll feel at home in London soon enough," Lady Louise assured them.
"Yeah, once you feast your eyes on the bevy of young ladies at tonight's soiree," Nathaniel taunted, nudging his twin with a wolfish grin.
"I do seem to have extinguished my options back home..." Nathan laughed.  He was quite proud of his reputation, a rake through and through, something he didn't plan on changing. "I am lucky to have you and Sean, between th’two of you I do not need to worry about marriage."
"I still believe you'll eat those words one day," Sean teased, raising an eyebrow at his younger brother.
"And I shall love to meet the spirited young lady who changes your mind," Nathaniel laughed.  "For she'd have t'be spirited indeed t'put up with you."
"God has provided me with brothers so I could steal the virtue of as many young ladies as I possibly can," Nathan replied, running his fingers confidently through his unruly curls. "That is my divine duty, you two worry about wives and leave me out of it."
"Nathan!" Lady Young snapped, smacking the back of his head with her fan. "Please at least try to behave yourself here," she exclaimed.
"Shall we make a bit of a wager?" Nathaniel asked Sean, lowering his voice.
"What sort of wager?"
"On which lady shall catch his attention first at tonight’s ball."
"You're on," Sean grinned.

"You look absolutely gorgeous," Lydia murmured, placing a flower in her sister's hair.  "Remember, do not be too eager, men do not like it."
"I will, if you promise me to be a little more eager, men do not like to be mistreated," Blossom countered, looking out through the carriage window.
"Should you find yourself terribly bored, you know where to find me," Simon winked at Lydia as their carriage came to a stop.
"Do not worry, I shall find Win and dance the night away," she smiled, looking around for her friend’s carriage while Charles stepped down to escort Blossom.  Despite her elder sister's behavior she was a rather desirable young woman and she would certainly need a chaperone at all times.
Meanwhile, Win was sitting opposite her sour faced step sister and step mother, her eyes firmly directed out the carriage window as their destination neared.
"Delilah, stop squirming," Lady Karen snapped as her daughter craned her head to see out the other window. "And you, Winrey, sit up straight.  A young lady doesn't slouch."
Win merely rolled her eyes, but straightened, catching sight of the Bellamys and hurriying out of the carriage before it fully came to a stop.
"Oh thank goodness, there you are," she breathed, catching Lydia's arm as they stepped into the bright foyer.  "Have you seen them yet?" she asked, looking around for the Irish Lords they’d read about.
"How should I know?  I don't know what they look like!" Lydia giggled, her friend's excitement catching.  "I believe we must find the three new faces among the old tired ones we know so well."
"That is a good idea.  Let's seeeee," Win mused with a laugh, pulling Lydia along with her as she peered at each face they passed.  Soon she noticed three men she had never seen before—all three were tall and slim, the elder a hand taller than the younger two, and each bearing a head of dark curls and sharp green eyes.  The two younger men appeared to be identical twins, though they held themselves slightly different.
"There!" Win exclaimed in a hushed voice, biting her lip as she looked them over.
"Oh my dear God, they are–"  Attractive was the only word Lydia could think of, but she didn’t voice it.
The three men were incredibly attractive, to be sure, but so was the Viscount, as well as many other young men of the ton, but being handsome was not a guarantee of any other value.
"Papa!  Look!" Blossom whispered.  "Do you think one of them shall ask me to dance?"
"If they have half a brain, I'm sure they will," Lord Bellamy chuckled.
"See anythin' y'like, brother?" Nats asked, letting his gaze travel around the room, taking in the sights.
"I see many things..." Nathan wet his lips before taking a sip of his lemonade, “many beautiful young things.  Do you, brother?"
Lydia couldn't help but think those curls and green eyes were awfully familiar.  Over ten years back, when she was merely a girl, she had encountered a boy with those very same features.  A boy she had vowed to marry once they were grown, but it was simply a childish desire.
"I think I do," Nats murmured, “if you'll excuse me..."  Stepping away from his twin's side, he waded into the crowd, making his way toward Win and Lydia.  "Good evenin', ladies," he greeted, nodding his head toward them. "And t'who do I owe th'pleasure?" he asked, reaching for Lydia's hand.
"Miss Bellamy, Miss Lydia Bellamy," she answered, allowing him to take her hand, and for once she didn't feel the need to make a nasty remark.  "Good evening, my lord."
"Oh, always in a rush..." Nate groaned, stealing a glance at the other young lady next to the one his brother was speaking with—shorter and more petite, but just as beautiful as the one his brother had chosen.  "I shall bide my time. Right, Sean– Sean?" he asked, looking around, his older brother nowhere to be seen.
"Good evening, I couldn't help but notice you across th'room," Sean murmured, bowing to Miss Blossom.
"My Lord," Blossom bowed back, trying not to seem too eager or blush too deeply, as her sister had advised.  "I-I am—"
“Miss Blossom Bellamy," her father cut in, amused by his daughter's reaction.
"Blossom," Sean mused as he held out his hand for her. "You certainly blush just as prettily as a blossom," he said, flashing her a grin.
"You are too kind," Blossom took his hand and looked back at her father for approval.  He simply nodded and let go of her arm.  "I'm afraid my face gives away too much.  I have never been a good liar."
"I've always thought it better to be honest than trying to hide what one thinks or feels," Sean murmured, letting her take his arm as he led her to the dance floor.
"Most agreeable," Blossom nodded, placing one hand on his shoulder.  "Although I have been warned against my overly passionate nature."
"I don't see what's wrong with a bit of exuberance," Sean murmured, placing one hand on the small of her back.  "Although, that may be my artist's spirit talking," he chuckled awkwardly, hoping it wouldn't put her off to know he was an artist.  Many young ladies tended to find that undesirable in a Lord.  If he were the second born, or a commoner, maybe it wouldn't be so frowned upon…
"You're an artist?” Blossom cried excitedly.  “So am I!  I have been learning every instrument I can get my hands on ever since I was a girl, and I like to believe myself a fair writer as well!"  Blossom felt her heart race a little bit more, sharing similarities was the first step to a good match. "What is your passion?"
“I’m quite interested in the use and art of the camera obscura,” Sean answered, his chest stirring with excitement at Blossom’s interest in his art.
"That is fascinating! I should love to see your art someday, it must look so real!"  Blossom's interest only grew the more she learned about him.  "My Lord, I have been so enthralled, I forgot to ask your name, what should I call you?"
“Oh!  My apologies Miss Blossom, you may call me Sean, Sean Young,” he answered.
"A lovely name," Blossom breathed, holding put her arm so he could sign her dance card. "Would you care for some refreshments, Lord Young?"
“Yes, let me get you some lemonade, Miss Blossom,” Sean offered, leading her over to the drink table.
"Thank you," Blossom followed, looking back at her papa who smiled.  "May I ask how a wonderful dancer and an enchanting gentleman such as yourself isn't married yet?"
“Ah, well,” Sean murmured sheepishly, taking a sip from his drink.  “There was a young lady I was courting several years ago, but I made a bit of a… misstep and she cut off our engagement,” he explained.
"Oh dear," Blossom laughed nervously.  What sort of misstep would cause a bride to call off the entire engagement?  It must have been really bad... "I am sorry to hear that, I am sure you seek a fresh start here in England.  I shan't ask any more questions."
“I… certainly hope so,” Sean murmured awkwardly.
Tumblr media
"Miss Bellamy, might I have this dance?" Nats asked, winking at her as he kissed the back of her gloved hand.  Win shared an excited look with her friend before she was pulled out to the floor.  Spying the refreshments, she headed in that direction, half keeping an eye on Lydia and the young Mr. Young.
"I suppose you are the one Lady Whistledown has been talking about.  My friend was most curious about you and your brothers," Lydia grinned.  It had been ages since she last danced with a gentleman, let alone one she actually wanted to dance with.
"Oh yes, I read that. This Whistle lady seems to be rather important around here," Nats chuckled as he spun her slowly.  "Aren’t you curious at all?  I'll answer any question you like."
"She certainly knows more than anyone else about everyone else.  I have but one question..."  Lydia stared deeply into those eyes and took a deep breath.  "Is this your first time in England?"
"I..." Nats frowned, thinking.  "No, we lived here many years ago before my father left us," he answered, stepping in time to the spirited music.  "Why d'yeh ask?"
"It’s just… you remind me of someone I met many years ago," Lydia admitted, moving without counting her steps, almost as if she knew exactly what to do.  "My family and I were enjoying the country and I remember spending one remarkable afternoon with a boy who had your curls and your green eyes."
"Really?" Nats murmured, trying to think back. "It does sound like me, but as you can see, my twin and elder brother share those same features as well."
"What I know is that the boy was the same age as me, so I believe your older brother to be out of the equation," Lydia mused–it would be nearly impossible to know for certain if neither of them remembered the event.
Nats’ frown deepened. “I do vaguely remember my time here, but I’m afraid I can’t remember much,” he said apologetically.  He would have to think on it.  “It would certainly be a shame to forget a beautiful lady such as yourself,” he added, hoping she wouldn’t take offense to his lapse in memory.
"It would surprise me if you did remember, it was so long ago and I was quite different back then.  Seems both me and my sister were late bloomers, as one would say," Lydia huffed a laugh, deeply hoping he was the one she'd been looking for.  "But thank you, you are very sweet."
Nats bowed to her as the song came to a close. “I’m afraid I haven’t properly introduced myself,” he exclaimed, suddenly realizing that he knew Lydia’s name, but she didn’t know his.  “My name is Nathaniel Young, not to be confused with my twin, Nathan.”
Lydia couldn't help her sudden bout of laughter, quickly clapping her hands over her mouth.  She didn't want to be rude, but it was impossible not to have a reaction.  "I’m sorry, my apologies, I am not laughing at you, I swear!" she giggled.
Nats’ expression twisted slightly. “Yeah, yeah, there was a bit of a misunderstandin’ when we were born y’see.  My mum fancied the name and so named me, but my father had already provided th’same name for my brother, bein’ none th’wiser,” he groaned, though Lydia’s laughter was infectious.
"I am so sorry," Lydia took a deep breath to regain her composure.  For once she wasn't intentionally trying to scare a man away.  "I do like your names, if that's any consolation."
“I’m used to it,” Nats shrugged.  “If it’s any consolation, you have a very lovely laugh.”  He grinned.  “Usually my friends call me Nats and him Nate.”
"Very well, should not be hard to tell the two of you apart, seeing as your brother is much more aggressive in his advances."  Lydia glanced at her friend and the other twin, seemingly arguing.  "Win is one of the most important people in my life, if anything bad were to happen between them I'm afraid your brother and I would have a problem."
“Ah… yes, I’m afraid my twin has no intention of finding a wife, but my elder brother and I wager he’ll one day find his match.  Perhaps your friend might just be th’one that changes his mind,” Nats said, craning his head to watch, hoping Nathan wouldn’t ruin his chances with Miss Bellamy if things went sour with her friend.
"That is enough!  Excuse me, Mr. Young," Lydia made her way to where Win and Nate were having a discussion.
"Pardon me, miss, but I believe you must have lost your way, a beautiful angel like yourself walking amongst us mere mortals–?" Nate approached Win without a hint of hesitation and she turned to him, her brows rising as she looked him up and down.
"An angel, you say?  More like a fallen angel if you ask my family," she scoffed.
Oh, a complicated woman, family troubles... his bread and butter.  "Anyone who says such a thing clearly does not know what they are talking about, Miss...?"
Win rolled her eyes, watching him carefully.  "Winrey, Winrey Lewis.  And you are...?" she asked, tilting her head at him.
"Nathan Young," he answered, gently kissing the back of her hand while discreetly looking down at her cleavage.  "Should you give me the honor to share this dance with me?"
Win hummed, deliberating, as if making up her mind.  "Alright, Mister Young, I suppose I shall give you the honour of my company," she said, a tiny smirk playing at her painted lips as she took his hand.
"I certainly am the luckiest man here…" Nate bowed his head, leading her to the dance floor.  As much as he hadn’t planned on wasting the entire night on one lady... Winrey was so intriguing, it only made him want to know more about her.
Win snorted softly, though her breath hitched when he pulled her in close, the sharp scent of his cologne making her head swim.  “Tell me, Mr Young, is that what you tell every young lady you dance with?  Or am I special?”
"Is that the idea you have of me?  My heart breaks at the thought," Nate pouted, running the back of his hand along her jaw.  "You are indeed special, Miss Lewis."
“And you are a rake, if ever I’ve seen one,” Win replied, cursing her voice for how breathy it’d become at his touch.
"Me? I assure you, I am nothin’ if not a gentleman.  I can guarantee you do not need to worry.  I would never attempt anything improper, Miss Lewis," Nate whispered a little too close to her ear.
“Oh really?” Win drawled, her heart pounding in her ears.  “I’m sure once you leave my side, you’ll be on the prowl for the next young lady you certainly wouldn’t dream of compromising.”  The song came to an end and she barely curtsied though her heart pounded loud in her ear.
That was usually how it went.  Thankfully, he was never caught and forced into marriage, but Nathan knew there was nothing that made a lady want him more than not touching her at first.  "You don't see my affections as genuine?"
“Not in the slightest,” Win countered, raising her chin to look him in the eye.  “I’ve met several men like you, Mr. Young.  I am familiar with your sort.”
"I believe you, you are not an impressionable debutante... how old are you?  Five and twenty?" Nate asked with the only intention to rile her up.
“Five and—!” Win gasped, falling right into his trap.  “I’ll have you know I’m only one and twenty!” she cried, smacking his shoulder with her fan.
"Are you a spinster by choice or do men just find you unpleasant due to your temper?" Nate laughed, knowing anger was way better than indifference.  If she had strong feelings, he had a chance.
"Excuse you?  Who do you think you are, Nate?"  Lydia approached him defiantly.
"Oh no... my sister, not again!" Blossom winced, watching the scene enfold across the room.
"Shit," Nats hissed, quickly following Lydia.
"Maybe it's because of men like you that I haven't wed yet!" Win exclaimed. "You are so... so entitled!"
"Uh, if you'll excuse me, Miss Blossom, I need to defuse this situation," Sean exclaimed, wading through the crowd toward the others.
"Yes, of course... Papa!  Simon!  She's doing it again!" Blossom cried.
"I've been nothing but respectful, but you doubt my intentions and call me a-a rake," Nate feigned offense and turned to Lydia.  "This doesn't concern you, miss.  Unless, are you secretly in love with Miss Lewis?" he whispered teasingly.
"Oh, you are vile!  How could you share your brother's features and make them look so despicable?" Lydia gasped.
"Nate, what are you doing?" Nats hissed as Sean joined them.
"Brother, you're making a scene," Sean murmured under his breath.
"I am?  She is the one who started screaming at me!" Nate gestured to Lydia.
"Because you disrespect my dearest friend!  Hear that, Whistledown? I did not start the scene this time!"
"Let us breathe and collect ourselves, there's no need for theatrics," Lord Bellamy said, taking his oldest daughter’s arm.
"I'm sure we will all laugh at this misunderstanding soon enough," Simon mumbled.
"Obviously you did something to rile the young lady," Sean hissed to his brother, glancing at Win.
"Oh, the young lady is not riled," she replied, smoothing her expression with effort. "For there is nothing about the gentleman that is worth being riled about," she scoffed.  "Good night gentlemen," she added, bowing her head to Sean before directing a sharp glare at Nathan and turning on her heel.
"Win!  Wait!"  Lydia went after her despite wanting nothing more than to stay and talk to Nats all evening.  All she could hope for was that he would decide to call on her the next morning.
"Simon, I feel faint," Blossom exclaimed, taking her brother's arm.  That whole scene along with Sean's mysterious wrongdoing made her head spin.
"Would you like to go home?" he asked.
"Oh, but Lord Young..." she murmured, torn.
"Lord Bellamy, Miss Blossom, I apologize for my younger brother's actions this night, I hope you might forgive the intrusion," Sean murmured, bowing his head to Blossom and her father.
"Of course, my Lord," Blossom nodded. "I apologize for my sister as well, she is known to... pick fights, especially with men."
"They usually deserve it," Lord Bellamy added quietly.
"She is a credit to you, sir," Sean chuckled, though his gaze flicked to Blossom as he grinned.
"I hope this misunderstanding doesn't get in the way of our... conversation," Blossom murmured.
"On my part it doesn't," Sean murmured, kissing the back of her gloved hand.
Blossom simply smiled, she suddenly felt so embarrassed having her brother and father watching them.
Tumblr media
"Oh, great!" Nathaniel hissed sarcastically.  "Thank you so much brother," he grumbled, watching Lydia chase after Win.
"What did I do?  I was dancin' with Miss Lewis and she kept sayin' those things... she-she vexed me!" Nathan huffed stubbornly.  "And why should you care?"
"You were bein' you!" Nats groaned.  "She obviously could tell your intentions were less than noble and now you've chased off her friend as well, and just when we were—" he cut off angrily and strode away for a drink.
"Oh, please, brother!  As if her friend, the first woman you set your eyes upon in London, is the woman you're going to marry!  I did you a favour, she is much too feisty."
"Maybe I like that about her," Nats countered quietly.  "I am bored of all the demure young ladies that simper and prance about.  I know you are."
"I do not mind how a lady behaves as long as her skirt is light and allows me under it," Nate smirked.  "I believe Miss Lewis fancies me."
"And what makes you think that?" Nats frowned.
"The way her breathing changes when I get closer, the way her pupils grow when she's lookin' at me..." Nate mused, leaning against the wall.
"Oh, I know that tone," Nats groaned.  "Don't tell me you're goin' t'continue t'chase her?"
"Why shouldn't I?  You know the ones who are hard to get are my favourites," Nate murmured,  picking up another glass.
"I suppose it's no use trying to discourage you.  Just... try not to make all of us look bad.  Some of us are just trying to find a match," Nats sighed, taking another glass of his own.
"I am glad you know me so well," Nate grinned.  "Not to worry, I believe I can only make you look better by comparison."

"You didn't have to follow me, you know," Win murmured as she stepped out onto the terrace, Lydia at her heel.  "I didn't mean to take you from your own conversation."
"You are my best friend, Winnie, no one is more important," Lydia wrapped her arms around Win.  "I am so sorry, that simple bastard had no idea what he was talking about."
"I think I'm more mad at myself," Win muttered, leaning into Lydia's embrace, "for nearly falling for his empty charms."
"His empty charms come wrapped up in the most handsome face, who could blame you?" Lydia sighed.  "It pains me to see you like this, his brother seems to be genuinely sweet."
"They are both quite handsome, are they not?" Win murmured. "So, you fancy his twin, then?"
"They are, and I do... I think I do," Lydia shook her head.  "He reminds me of the young man I told you about."
Win's expression changed, brightening. "Maybe it is him!" she exclaimed.
"Maybe... or maybe it was his villain of a brother, Mister Young cannot remember much," Lydia frowned.  "I can't stand to think about it," she groaned.
Win tsked and shook her head.  "Perhaps, but I doubt it.  Unless he's changed drastically since then.  But let's not think of it any longer tonight," she murmured, giving her friend's hand a squeeze.
"Winrey?  Oh, there you are," Lady Karen exclaimed, stepping onto the terrace.  "I should have known I'd find you here," she muttered bitterly, "sequestered away with your friend instead of on the dance floor, searching for a husband.  No matter," she continued, looking down her nose at Lydia, "we are heading home.  Delilah's already filled her dance card."
"Really?" Lydia turned without letting go of her friend.  "It is not late enough and I don't believe there was enough alcohol served for Delilah to start looking more pleasant.  Be careful, you know what people say of ladies who dance around with too many different partners."
“Watch your tongue, my dear,” Lady Karen snapped, reaching for Win’s wrist.  “At least she has prospects.  Now, come.”
“I am sorry, Lyds.  I’ll see you tomorrow,” Win murmured, wrenched away by her step mama.
"She certainly learned the art of fortune-hunting from her mama!" Lydia waved Win goodbye.  "See you tomorrow, Winnie."
"Dear, your sister isn't feeling well, we are going home," Lord Bellamy called, waving toward Lydia to catch her attention.  "You better rest as well, replenish your energies after all the banter."
As Win walked out, joined by her step sister, she couldn’t help but let her gaze sweep the hall, wincing as her eyes met Nathan Young’s.  “Prat,” she muttered under her breath, though her stomach fluttered traitorously.
As Lydia joined her family, Nats half raised his hand to her, waving at her as they left.  If only he’d been able to continue their conversation.

"Took you long enough, where were you two?" Nate whined as his wives finally arrived. "Church again?"
"We were just there for the service, next time you should come with us," Lydia suggested, rushing to kiss his forehead.
"No thanks, unlike you I don't have the hots for the priest..."
“What? You’re crazy,” Win huffed, turning her nose up at him as she passed and Nats snorted.
“Oh yeah, cause you two are suddenly so religious.”
"We're not, I mean... My mom is Catholic and dad is Jewish so I was raised religious, but I'm more of a spiritual person. Father Kay's sermons are actually like therapy sessions, they're just very uplifting," Lydia said sitting on Nats' lap, giving him a kiss as well.
"Can you imagine that, man? Turned on by a priest? I run from them..." Nate laughed.
Win rolled her eyes as she passed them, heading to the bedroom to change. “Oh Winnie, c’mon!” Nats called after her, wrapping his arms around Lydia’s waist.
"Well, maybe you'd like to put on the outfit and sin with me..." Lydia teased.
"Sorry, love, don't think I can do that one," Nate grimaced following Win to the bedroom. "You okay, baby?"
“Hmm? Oh yeah, I’m fine,” Win answered distractedly, digging through her dresser for something comfortable to wear.
"Okay... just passed by without any kisses or hugs. You've been out all day, we missed you two," Nate pouted.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I missed you as well," Win said, finally turning to press a chaste kiss to Nate's cheek after she finished dressing.
"Lyds," Nate called, rushing to the kitchen where she was making dinner. "What happened t'Winnie? I asked for a kiss and she pecked my cheek!” he cried incredulously.  “Did I upset her?"
"How am I supposed to know?  She didn't say anything… I don't think you did," Lydia shrugged. "We're pretty used to your stupid jealousy."
"She wasn't like that last night!" Nats exclaimed, sneaking a glance at her in the living room, flipping through a book on the couch. "Somethin' musta happened to her at-at church!" he insisted in a hushed voice.
"Nothing happened to her at church! We just watched the sermon and left.  Let me talk to her.”  Lydia closed the oven to let her chicken pie bake.
"Winnie baby," Lydia stood by the door before joining her to steal a kiss. "The boys think you're weird, they think something happened at church..."
"What d'you mean? Weird, how?" Win asked, marking her place with a finger as she shut the pages to look up at Lydia, tilting her head in confusion.
"Nate said you're a little cold, did he say something stupid?" Lydia asked, pulling her wife into her lap, giving the other woman's thigh a squeeze.
"No, not that I can think of," Win frowned, thinking. "It's just been a long day," she added.
"See! She's bein' strange! She's usually more affectionate than that," Nats muttered incredulously, watching the girls.
"Yeah! A kiss on the cheek? What the fuck?" Nate agreed. "And that book is one of Lyddie's crazy ones, she doesn't even like it."
"Would it make it better if I... eat you out?" Lydia whispered in her ear. "Maybe I can get the strap-on?"
"Oh... nah, I'm alright. I'm not really in th'mood right now, honey," Win murmured, patting Lydia's cheek gently.
"Win is being weeeeeird!" Lydia cried, heading back to the kitchen.  She really thought she'd be able to crack the code like she always did and help fix things. "She doesn't want oral sex, when did you ever hear her refuse oral sex?"
"Told you! Maybe she's mad at all of us!" Nate cried.
"Is dinner almost ready?" Win called from the couch. "I wanna get t'bed early tonight t'get a headstart on th'day tomorrow."
"Whatttt?!" Nats hissed, gesturing wildly toward the living room.
"Win, come on, spit it out! Why are you mad at us?" Lydia frowned, deeply worried for her wife.
"We're sorry! Are y’sick maybe? You not feelin' well?" Nate asked, hoping maybe they could help her.
"I'm not mad," Win said, looking at them strangely. "I'm feeling fine. Why are you guys acting so weird?" she asked.
"Because you're a horny sex goddess who loves to tease and kiss and stay up late watching movies. We wake up at noon and fuck all over the house all the time." Lydia marched towards her to check for a fever. "You're also way more loving and way sweeter!"
Win frowned as Lydia's hand pressed to her forehead. "M-maybe I... I do kinda feel a little weird," she admitted reluctantly, her voice small. "Maybe I need t'lay down."
"Weird how? Should we call th'doctor?" Nats cried, anxiously following Lydia out to the living room as well.
"You don't have a fever, take my power, you can heal whatever it is that's bothering you..." Lydia leaned in, pressing her lips to Win's.
"I'm sayin', church isn't good! See that? She goes to church and comes back all messed up, this is bollocks!" Nate muttered, his heart sinking at the thought.
"D'you feel any different?" Nats asked hopefully as Lydia pulled back, Win blinking blankly.
"I don't think so?"
"Okay... I'm just gonna serve you dinner, let's eat and hopefully you'll feel better after," Lydia suggested.
Dinner came and went and still no change. By the time it was time for bed Nats was seriously beginning to worry, but maybe the next morning she'd be back to her usual self.
However, the next morning, Win woke early like she'd said she wanted to, getting dressed and heading out to the kitchen to get breakfast started.
"Winnie? What's up with you?" Lydia rubbed her eyes with a yawn, dragging herself out of bed to see if everything was okay. She sat by the counter, nearly falling asleep on the surface.
"Just making breakfast for you. I also got so much cleaning done already," she chirped, stepping away from the counter to pour Lydia a cup of tea. She was dressed in a sensible knee length skirt and cardigan.
"Oh no... fuck no!" Lydia finally opened her eyes wide and took in the sight of her wife. She somehow looked familiar, a horrid vision from almost fifteen years ago. "Where the fuck did you get this cardigan? You don't wear cardigans!"
"I found it buried in the back of your side of the closet," Win said, spinning around. "Don't I look nice?"  The timer on the stove dinged and she gave a little jump. "Oh! Those are th'muffins I made t'take to the Community Centre t'pass out for th'needy," she exclaimed, grabbing the hot pads to pull the pan from the oven.
"Well, that's from when I would roleplay with Nathan. I only ever wore it when we had sex and he held a fake gun to my head," Lydia explained, trying to prove her theory and make sure she wasn't going crazy. "But you do look nice... would you wanna fuck me right now? I wanna scissor you raw, baby."
“Lydia, that’s so crude!” Win gasped, directing a disappointed frown at her.
"You're my wife!  Or are you…? Can you chug a beer for me to watch? Can you eat all messy and I lick it off you?" Lydia slowly stepped closer to her and took Win's face in both hands. "I know you're in there."
“I don’t know what you’re talkin’ about, but really Lydia, you could be so much better.” As soon as the words left Win’s mouth, a dark smirk crossed her features.
"You bitch! I knew you were in there! Give me my wife back!" Lydia yelled, shaking her desperately.  Why the fuck were they attracting all these vengeful spirits? "I wanna have hours of lesbian sex with her, so fuck off back to hell, Rachel!"
"Why all the yellin'? What's goin' on?" Nate left the room still half asleep, wearing nothing but his underwear and running his fingers through his unruly curls.
“Why are y’shakin’ Winnie?” Nats asked, alarm chasing the remaining vestiges of sleep from him. “What’s wrong?!”
"That isn't Winnie! It's Rachel from the Virtue cult! Watch this..." Lydia hissed, pulling her closer for a passionate kiss.
The possessed Win pushed Lydia away, a disgusted sound leaving her throat. “Stop that!” she spat, backing away as soon as she was free and smoothing her skirt.
"Yeah, that's definitely not Winnie," Nate shared a look with his brother. "Think she's mad cause we killed 'er?"
"That doesn't matter! She needs to go back, I wanna snog my wife!" Lydia huffed.
“Of course I’m mad, you halfwits!” Rachel cried through Win’s voice. “You killed me! I was making the world a better place!” she screamed, stamping her—Win’s foot.
"You were not! Young people are not meant to be like this, you were lucky you died before I found out Nathan was immortal, because I would've ended you!" Lydia growled.
"T'be fair I didn't wanna kill ya. I just wanted t'make you lift the curse," Nate explained. "No hard feelin's..."
Rachel growled at him, trying to get past Lydia to wrap her hands around his neck.  “Winnie—Rachel!” Nats cried, trying to pull her off his twin. “Did y’not just hear her say we’re immortal?”
"Do you have any idea what you made me go through? You frigid asshole!" Lydia pulled her away, easily lifting her. "Would it make you feel better if we went to the church to... ask for forgiveness?"
"Yeah! Yeah! Church!" Nate gasped for air, crawling away from the girls.
“As much as I hate t’say it, that priest helped us get rid of Sally, maybe he can exorcize Win,” Nats suggested, chewing his chapped bottom lip, hating to see her like that.
"Handsome bastard..." Nate agreed.
"If I let you go, will you come to church with us? I've been going almost every week, I'm sure you'll love it," Lydia said.
“Alright fine! If he brings our wife back, then I’ll go t’fuckin’ church with yeh,” Nats cried.
“See, look at what a positive influence I’ve had over you already,” Rachel scoffed as she struggled in Lydia’s grasp.
Lydia kept watch of Rachel in her Win-shaped cage while the boys changed and left them in charge while she put on a nice dress and some makeup on. "D'you have t'do this?" Nate asked as Lyddie finally left the room, all dressed up.
"I'm not letting father Kay see me all disheveled again!"
“You’re such a slag. Even married, you’re trying to attract another man, not to mention a priest!” Rachel spat, which was even more disconcerting coming from Win’s mouth.
"You're not allowed to say slag, you little prudish cunt," Lydia snapped back, taking her arm as they headed outside. "I'm married and I'd never cheat, but being attracted to someone isn't a crime. The priest is hot! Just don't tell him I said that, he wouldn't believe you anyway."
Rachel let out a huff and clamped her mouth shut as the three dragged her along to the church.
“Ah, Lydia and company, to what do I owe th’pleasure today?” Kay asked, looking up from the parish reports on his desk as the four of them entered.
"We're sorry to bother, Father, but... it seems Win is–um–possessed, by another vengeful spirit from our past.  She's totally insane, she's saying our husbands killed her, can you believe that?" Lydia chuckled nervously, gesturing to her wife.
"Right? We'd never... we're basically angels," Nate muttered.
Kay blinked at them for a moment. If it had been anyone else, he’d have thought they were making it up, but after witnessing the very real spiritual manifestation in their home not long ago, he wasn’t entirely surprised.
“How do you know she’s possessed?” he asked, eyeing Win. She was certainly dressed differently. Even for mass, she never dressed like that.
"She's been less affectionate, acting weird, dressing weird, not engaging in... marital relations with any of us," Lydia whispered. "Which is really uncommon for her."
"Besides she told us," Nate added. "She admitted t'bein' Rachel."
“No, I didn’t!” Win exclaimed. “I don’t know what you’re talking about!” She directed Kay an entreating look. “Father, it’s just that your sermons have moved me, and I want to be better! To act in accordance to His ways,” she said, smiling at him.
“What? That’s bullshit!” Nats cried, before realizing what he’d said. “I mean—that’s bull… crap.”
"She would never! I was surprised she came to the church at all!" Nate grimaced.
"She won't even kiss me, she thinks it's gross because she's a straight woman trapped in my wife's body! The boys saw her pulling away earlier," Lydia argued. "You know Win, Father, you know how madly in love we are..."
Kay nodded. Though he didn’t know her as well as her partners did, he had to agree that something felt off. Pushing his chair back, he rose and walked across the room to don his vestments and grab his bible. “I’ll need you two to hold her down in that chair,” he instructed and Nats shared a nervous look with Nate. Suddenly things were feeling all too serious.
"Is this gonna be like those horror films? Like, is she gonna become all scary and puke all over the place?" Nate asked, not wanting to admit how nervous he was. He was never a fan of watching those films, let alone living them.
"Rachel, for all that it's worth, we're sorry for what we did to you," Lydia said as she and the boys sat her down while she struggled. "We never wanted any of that to happen, that wasn't the plan. We just wanted our friends back."
"No, this shouldn't be too hard, seeing as she's not possessed by a demon or unholy spirit or anything of that nature," Kay murmured, opening his bible to read a passage while Rachel tried to reason with him.
"I could help so many people like this, Father! Wouldn't that make you happy?"
Once Kay finished, he made the sign of the cross over Win and touched her forehead. "Rachel, let go of your hatred and leave this vessel."
"No! No, I want to ruin their lives like they ruined mine!"
Kay ignored her and looked to each of Win's lovers. "I need you to talk to Win for me. Call out to her and help her find her way back to us while I weaken Rachel's spirit and make it easier for Win to return."
"Winnie, we really miss you!" Nate kissed the back of her hand, hoping she could feel it somehow. "We love you so much, you and Lyds are the best things that ever happened t'me."
"It's true, you're also my best friend," Lydia hugged her from behind as she still struggled, it was very hard to see someone she loved so much being held like this. "You're the person I wanna talk to when I have a nightmare or when I'm PMSing and can't stand anyone else. Please come back to us."
"Yeah, c'mon Winnie. We'd be totally lost without you," Nats cried, squeezing her hand. "We love yeh more than anything!"
Rachel struggled, but her thrashing was growing weaker. Somewhere deep inside Win could hear her partners calling out to her, and she fought against the entity that was trying to keep her from them.
"Rachel, leave this body! In the name of the Lord, leave this body and head to the light!" Suddenly Win's body slumped forward.
"Wow, you're good..." Lydia stared at Kay for a few moments, why did he have to look so hot performing exorcisms and such? That definitely earned him another homemade meal.
"Winnie? You there baby?"
"You okay? Is she gone?" Nate held her head up, pressing his forehead to hers. "Please, sweetheart, wake up."
"Win, say somethin'!" Nats exclaimed, stroking her cheek while still holding her hand tightly.
A faint moan escaped her lips and her eyelids fluttered as she attempted to focus on their voices.
"L-lyddie? Nathan?"
"Yesssss!" Nate cheered. As much as he hated to admit, he was more than a little grateful to that priest. Even if the girls only attended mass to stare at him.
"Does the idea of kissing me sound repulsive to you?" Lydia giggled, running her fingers through Winnie's hair.
“Not at all!” Win exclaimed, throwing her arms around Lydia’s neck to kiss her, their mouths colliding in her haste.
"In front of a priest?" Lydia laughed, despite being very relieved to have Winnie back. "I'm desperate to get you out of those clothes... and put on new ones, your own," she quickly added.
"There she is, can't believe I slept next t'Rachel, that's right nasty," Nate half-joked, joining the hug, kissing the top of her head.
Win laughed, reaching for both her husbands. “No kidding, I feel all outta sorts,” she exclaimed. “I need t’make up for lost time!”
"Thank you so much," Lydia enthusiastically shook Kay's hand to stop from hugging him. "You saved us again, I'll never be able to thank you enough."
"I need all th’kisses," Nate whispered. "Missed you so much, sweetheart... is it weird this outfit is turnin' me on a bit?"
“A little,” Win laughed, stealing a kiss from him and then Nats. “Thank you Father, I really don’t know how t’thank you!” she cried, not wanting to think about being a captive in her own body, forced to watch as Rachel ruined her life.
"Yeah... thank you," Nate nodded, nudging his twin's arm. "You can expect a very nice lunch this time, Father," Lydia laughed, locking arms with her wife.
“Really, that’s not needed,” Kay assured, lifting the stole from his neck to fold and put away. “I’m just glad to help. But really, please be more careful around spirits from here on out.”
“I’m still not entirely sure how Rachel possessed me,” Win murmured as they made their way home.
"I know, but it's my pleasure really, it'll make me happy to do it," Lydia nodded. "She's the last one that hates us I think... we're not that problematic."
"Yeah yeah, the other people who hate us are alive I'm afraid," Nate chuckled.
——
The next day after a thorough welcome back the night before, Win joined Lydia in the kitchen to help make their thank you lunch for Father Kay. “I’m so glad t’be back,” Win sighed, pressing her face between Lydia’s shoulder blades.
"I'm glad you're back, she kept running from me. She even refused oral sex," Lydia teased, carefully slicing the brisket she prepared to go with the potatoes and risotto. "I can't believe I didn't notice anything on our way back home."
“I think she was trying to be sly, hoping you wouldn’t notice. But you know me too well, you all do,” Win murmured, her mouth watering at the smell of the food.
"Of course, I know my honeypie," Lydia held the fork up so she could take a bite. "Try it, do you think he'll like it? You should've seen him doing the thing, it was so hot."
Win threw her head back and moaned at the taste. “This is perfect. If he doesn’t like it, he’s an idiot.”
She helped her pack up the food and slipped her jacket on to go deliver it. “Hey boys, we’ll be back in a bit!” she called.
"Okay, careful not t'get possessed again..." Nate teased, blowing them a kiss.
"You know, dad’s been insisting I visit the synagogue sometime, would you come with? Maybe there's some hot Jewish Nathan somewhere," Lydia grinned as they made their way to the church.
“Yeah sure, I’d like to see a Jewish service,” Win answered, her arm entwined with Lyddie’s. “In fact, I didn’t even know you were Jewish,” she exclaimed.
"Technically, if we're talking rules, I'm not, fully. Apparently it's something that comes from your mum and not your dad, but these days people don't believe that anymore," Lydia shrugged. "So I guess I'm half."
"Oh, I can't believe there was something about you that I didn't know though," Win exclaimed dramatically as they neared the church.
"Isn't it romantic we're still learning little facts about each other? It's cute," Lydia leaned against her, making their way to the back to find Kay.
When they got to Kay's office, his door was open and he greeted them with a warm grin.
“Hey there you two.  What brings you t’see me today?” “We brought you lunch!” Win exclaimed, holding up her package of tupperware.
"We wanted to say thank you again for helping us, We promise not to mess with any other spirits," Lydia placed the other container with brownies she had baked the night before. "We hope you like it."
"You really didn't need t'do all this, but thank you," Kay exclaimed. "I gotta say though, you have perfect timing, I haven't had dinner yet," he said, reaching for the containers.
"Perfect," Win replied. "Lyddie did most of the cooking, but I helped. Hope you enjoy."
Lydia carefully waited until he tried to tear her gaze from him, sharing a mischievous look with Win. "Guess we'll see you next week, Father," she said, trying to stop herself from grinning too wide.
"Wanna get a coffee before we head back home?" Win asked as they stepped back out of the church.
"Yeah, an iced coffee cause I'm definitely feeling a little warm," Lydia winked, looking around for a spot where they could stop and grab a drink.
"You're shameless," Win giggled, noticing a small cafe up ahead that they'd never been to before. "How about there?" she asked, nodding her head that way.
"Chatty Wednesday... sounds fun," Lydia nodded, seeing the small sign on a chalkboard. It was pretty busy for that time of the day, so it must be good.
"Hullo," a woman about their age with bright red lips and short dark hair greeted. "Can I getcha anything?"
"Wow..." Lyddie looked around at the endless guinea pig photos and paintings. "Yeah, um, I'll have an iced latte please."
"I'll have a cuppa," Win answered, noticing the guinea pig in a cage on the counter. "Cute place, you must really like guinea pigs."
"One of my many passions," the woman chuckled, turning to prepare their drinks.
"It's really cute, I love the theme. And your friend over there is adorable," Lydia cooed.
"What? Oh," she looked over her shoulder, first at the photo of her and a blonde girl next to the register, but once she noticed Lyddie looking at the cage, she relaxed. "Yeah, people seem to like Hilary more than the coffee sometimes... not that the coffee is bad, it's good!"
"So what's chatty Wednesdays?" Win wondered as the woman made their drinks.
"It's this sort of weekly event, you come here and you chat to someone you've never met before," the woman explained, placing their mugs on the counter. "For example... any special plans today?"
"Not really, we just stopped by on our way back from the church," Lydia took a sip as she sat down. "We were bringing some lunch to a hot priest."
"A hot priest?" the woman’s eyes grew. "Does he happen t’be Irish?"
"Yeah actually..." Lydia answered, frowning thoughtfully.
"Brown eyes?"
"Green."
"Ah."
Win shared a look with Lydia, trying not to grin. “Guess there’s more than one hot priest around.”
"Hot priests are Ireland's main export," the lady behind the counter joked. "So you two religious?"
"Nah, just bringing a little something for him to say thank you for exorcizing my wife," Lydia explained.
"Interesting! Not being in control of my body... sounds like a dream."
“Trust me, I don’t recommend it,” Win replied.  “Especially when th’spirit’s a terrible prude.”

By the time they walked back through the door of their flat, Win was already undressing, leaving a trail of clothes strewn across the floor as she made her way to the bedroom, glancing back over her shoulder at the others.  “You guys comin’ or what?”
"What's the rush, baby?" Lydia asked, undressing before following Win to the room with a cheeky grin. "Is there something you want?" she crawled in bed, trailing kisses all the way to her lips, not even realizing as the boys joined them.
“I want you,” Win whined, between kisses, pulling Lyddie closer.
"Yeah? How bad?" Lyddie laughed, enjoying how needy Win was. "What should I do to you, Winnie?"
“I want you to fuck me with the strap on, Lyddie,” she begged, reaching between them to touch Lydia. “Please? I want you t’be rough with me.”
"Nats," Lydia put her hand out, "can you get it for me, please?"
"On it," her Nathan exclaimed, jumping up to look for the toy, without looking away from the girls.
"You look so sexy when you beg like this," Lydia bit her lip while taking the strap on. "Are you gonna be good for me?"
"What are you gunna do t'me if I say I'm not gunna be good?" Win asked with a smirk, stretching out beneath her.
"Only good girls get to cum, Winnie... so if you're not good, I guess I can't let you," Lydia teased, breathing softly on Win's neck before nipping at the sensitive skin.
Win swallowed thickly. "I suppose... I could be good... for you, Lyddie," she murmured, squirming. "I'll be your good girl."
"That's right," Lydia breathed.  She’d only worn the stap-on a handful of times, so she didn't feel all that confident with it, but she was in a 'fake it 'til you make it' frame of mind.  "You better, baby, cause I really wanna make you cum."
Lyddie's Nathan was still slightly uncomfortable with how hot she looked when wearing that thing, but he couldn't take his eyes from her.
"Please, Lyddie," Win whined, running her hands down Lydia's back. "Please be good t'me, I wanna scream for you. God, you look so hot. Doesn't she, Natty?" Win asked, turning her head to Lyddie's Nathan, her lips curling.
"Um..." his mouth went dry. "Y-yeah, Lyddie always looks hot... very sexy,” he said hoarsely.
"Such a needy thing," Lydia didn't even notice the uneasiness in her Nathan's voice, too focused on Win as she teased her with the tip of the dildo. "I love it."
Win bit her lip, her breath hitching.  "Oh Lyddie, fuck me. You wound me up so much at the beach, I need you."
Win's Nathan let his gaze run over both women, his cock already in his hand. His second favourite thing after fucking Win himself was watching Lyddie do it.
Win's words filled Lydia with confidence, she captured her lips hungrily, slowly thrusting into her. "Does it feel good, Winnie?" she murmured, noticing the boys' stare through the corner of her eye.
"Yes, you always make me feel good, baby. I need more," she whined, turning her head toward her Nathan. "Do you want me to suck you off, babe?" His brows rose and he nodded, eagerly approaching the bed. "And you?" she asked, addressing Lyddie's Nathan. "I have a hand free," she offered.
"Hell yeah!" Lyddie's Nathan unzipped his jeans and sat down next to the girls, trying to find a position where Win could comfortably wank him off. Lyddie moved her hips faster, roughly, just like Win asked, enjoying the view of her entire body rocking with each thrust while she pleasured the boys.
Her mouth full, Win could only moan as Lyddie pounded into her, but each rough thrust of her fiance's hips sent pleasure coursing through her as she attempted to focus on that and pleasuring both boys, not wanting anyone to feel neglected.
Each moan only made Lydia more eager as she mercilessly fucked Win. "Aw, baby, I wanna make you feel so good," her thumb idly circled the other woman's clit.
At Lyddie's touch, Win arched her back, moaning loudly around her Nathan's cock, her hand on Lyddie's Nathan's length pausing for a moment til she realized what had happened and speeding up her movement. "Oh fuck, baby, your mouth feels like heaven. I'm so close," he gasped.
"I'm- Jay-sus..." Lyddie's Nathan moaned, twitching when Win picked up her pace. "Me too, Winnie."
"You have no idea how sexy you look, babe," Lydia groaned, gridning into the strap’s harness to get some relief from how worked up she was as well.
Win rolled her hips, desperately meeting Lyddie's thrusts, nearly at the edge. Suddenly her Nathan pulled out, coming on her chest as she gasped for breath, and she tilted her head to watch his face before turning as Lyddie's Nathan's jizz spilled over her hand and she watched his face as he came, letting her own pleasure wash through her and she cried out, her whole body tensing with a jerk. "Oh Lyddie! Fuck!!"
"Good girl!" Lydia didn't stop until she was sure Win had finished. "It was worth the wait, wasn't it?" she smiled with a wink before looking down at her chest. "Seems like Natty made a mess on you, didn't he? Don't worry, babe." Lyddie licked her clean, humming softly and looking up at Win's Nathan to watch his reaction. "See? So much better," she placed a chaste kiss on the same spot.
"Holy shit," he breathed, swallowing thickly. "You're not allowed t'be that hot right after I already came, Lollipop."
Win took Lyddie's face between her hands, kissing her deeply. "Thank you, love. You're so good t'me. Now, how can I repay you, babygirl?"
"Hmmm, I can think of many ways..." Lydia giggled, feeling quite proud of herself. "But I'll let you pick, you seem to be making great choices today, sweetie."
Lyddie's Nathan cleaned himself up and immediately took notice of the strap on again, instinctively jumping from the bed and pulling his boxer briefs up
"Hmmm," Win mused as she sat up, helping Lyddie out of the strap on before rolling her to her back. "Well..." she murmured, slowly kissing her way down her neck to her chest, her fingers sliding between Lyddie's folds testing how wet she was. "I think I wanna taste you, baby, you're already so wet for me," Win murmured, flicking the tip of her tongue against one of Lydia's nipples, playing with her piercing.
"Sounds... perfect, baby," Lydia shuddered, exhaling shakily as she squirmed helplessly, each kiss making her hotter and hotter. "I want you, Winnie, I'm all yours."
"Hey!" her Nathan laughed as he crawled back next to Lyddie, kissing her neck teasingly. "Don't give it all away, leave some for us too, huh?"
"Mmmm, all mine," Win replied teasingly, throwing a smug look at Lyddie's Nathan, working her way down further, kissing Lyddie's navel as she teased her entrance with her fingers til her mouth hovered over it's destination, blowing lightly against her glistening sex.
"Oh please, Winnie..." Lydia arched into her touch, the softest touch was enough to drive her insane at this point. "You make me feel so good, please give it to me," she stroked Win's hair gently and looked up at Win's Nathan. "Come here, I wanna kiss you."
"Not complainin' at all," Win's Nathan murmured, letting her kiss him as Win pressed her lips to Lyddie's cunt, moaning against her.
"Oh Lollipop, you taste so sweet," she sighed, lapping up her essence from slit to clit before pulling her clit between her lips to suck on, her fingers slowly thrusting into her.
Overwhelmed with pleasure, Lydia moaned into Win's Nathan's kiss, running her fingers through his slightly wet curls. Meanwhile her own Nathan made his way down to her tits, pinching her nipples and drawing them between his teeth.
"Fuck, you're so beautiful like this, baby," Win murmured, relishing the way Lydia writhed beneath her, her tongue moving unrelentingly and she drew on Lyddie's power, not needing to breathe any longer as she brought her fiance to the edge.
"Hmmm, I'm close, babe! Just like that, I love you so much, Winnie!" Lyddie murmured against Win's Nathan's lips, pulling him closer before kissing him again as she came undone, collapsing next to him with a satisfied sigh.
Win gave Lyddie one last lick before kissing her cunt chastely and sitting up, wiping her chin. "I love you too, Lyds," she murmured, settling down between her and Lyddie's Nathan.
"I gotta take a shower, but I..." Lydia yawned, her eyes slowly giving out. "Can you wake me up in fifteen minutes?"
"Yeah, don't worry, love," her Nathan kissed her forehead softly before heading to the kitchen to look for something sweet.
Win smiled down at Lydia as her eyelids fluttered softly before she met her Nathan's gaze. "You hungry?" he asked and she nodded, getting up carefully to follow the other Nathan out to the kitchen.
"So, today was fun..." Lyddie's Nathan managed to fit half of a pop tart in his mouth as he turned on the tv. "Thought Lyddie was mad at me for a second there, but we had such a great time."
"Well... she was a little upset, but I calmed her down," Win murmured, wrapping a blanket around herself as she joined Lyddie's Nathan on the couch, pulling her Nathan down with her.
"Upset with us?" Lyddie's Nathan looked at his clone, feeling suddenly worried, even though she seemed happy just a minute ago. "Did I do somethin' wrong?"
"No... I don't think it was something anyone did," Win mused with a frown, remembering what Lyddie had said, her words making Win sad. "She said... she sometimes feels like the odd one out."
"Aww, she's a little odd, but not in a bad way! I like that about her," Lyddie's Nathan shook his head. "I should've stayed behind... ‘specially when I knew goin' there was her idea in the first place."
Win shook her head. "She said we could come back for her birthday. I think that would be nice."
"I think it'll be a little cold, right?  It isn't for another month..." he huffed, frustrated with his own obliviousness from earlier.
"Uh... it's closer than that, isn't it?" Win asked, tilting her head.
"What? We're in November, her birthday is December 22nd..." Lyddie's Nathan looked at his twin for backup, but Win's Nathan opened and closed his mouth like a fish as Win gaped at them.
"You're kidding right...? Her birthday is November 22nd," Win said.
"What now?" Lyddie's Nathan turned back to her, scared. "Shit! I was plannin' on doin' a whole surprise thing! Thank God, she's asleep, if she wasn't mad at me before... that would've done the trick."
"Jesus, Nathan," Win sighed, running her hand down her face. "I can't believe you forgot."
"I didn't forget! I was just a little off! Yell at him too, he had no idea!" Lyddie's Nathan pointed at his clone.
"No one's yelling at anyone. We're gunna work together to make sure Lyddie has the perfect birthday, okay?" Win exclaimed.
"Yeah, yeah, gotta be special, it's her first birthday away from home," Lyddie's Nathan sighed. "If she said Coney Island, that's where we're goin'."
"Yeah, course!" Win's Nathan agreed while Win nodded. "Shall we get started planning tomorrow?" she asked, "I'm a little beat tonight."
"Yeah, me too..." Lyddie's Nathan stretched before running back to the bedroom. "Hey, Lollipop, y'asked me to-"
"No," she mumbled, pulling him to bed with her, not even bothering to open her eyes.
"Oh, okay..." Lyddie’s Nathan relented, letting her hold him in place.
"Well, I'm not going t'bed dirty," Win laughed, pulling her Nathan to his feet. "Y'fancy a shower together babe?" she purred, wrapping her arms around him.
"It'd be good t'conserve water and all that," he agreed with a grin, letting Win pull him toward the bathroom.
"Y'know, we were at the beach just now, maybe it's better to-" Lyddie's Nathan tried to argue.
"Power, you bought it, it was expensive, so use it! I'm tired..." she whined.
"I love you," he laughed, snapping his fingers to clean them up and change the sheets.
"Love you too, babe, but can we just cuddle now?" Lydia whined.
By the time Win and her Nathan had returned from their shower, Lydia was already fast asleep and her Nathan wasn't far behind. Crawling into bed with them, Win pulled her Nathan's arm around her, sighing as he spooned her and she curled around Lyddie next to her.
Being the first one to fall asleep, when morning came, Lyddie was the first one to wake up. She looked at the alarm clock next to their bed and nearly had a heart attack. "Jesus Christ! I'm so fucking late!" she jumped over her Nathan, running to the bathroom.
"Huh?" Win murmured, stirring as she felt the bed jostle. Pushing herself up she blinked at the clock. "Oh shit," she exclaimed as she realized they'd forgotten to set an alarm. "Lyddie, I'm sorry!"
"It's fine!" Lydia managed to say while brushing her teeth. "I should've done it."
"At least you don't gotta shower..." her Nathan tossed and turned until he found a comfortable position without her.
"Anything I can do to help? I don't wanna get in your way," Win called, Lyddie's Nathan's arms pulling her back down to the bed, not helping.
"It's alright, sweetie, you can go back to bed, I just gotta run, eating can wait," Lydia joked, quickly changing into her rehearsal clothes. "Love you all, see you in a bit!" she disappeared through the door.
"Bye..." Win called after her, flinching as the door shut. "Shit," she muttered, flopping back to the bed.
"Don't worry, the theatre is like a minute away," Lyddie's Nathan kissed Win's cheek. "Plus she's a star, stars can never be late."
"I guess..." she agreed, letting Lyddie's Nathan curl around her. "I still feel bad," she admitted.
"We all forgot, it's okay... we had a busy day yesterday," he grinned, remembering the best moments.
“I know, but I bet you’d be singing a different tune if you hadta get up early,” Win pointed out, squirming in his grasp.
"Perhaps, but... I can't function in the mornin', Lyddie can. She's got the nerdy genes," Nathan squeezed Win tighter. "Her body was built t'wake up and go study, or read, or do somethin' useful."
Win frowned. “Are you sayin’ I’m not useful?” she asked, only half teasing.
"No! 'Course not, sweetheart! You're so useful, and so smart, and I love you so much..." Lyddie's Nathan cried.
“Maybe I should get up early, do something useful,” Win grumbled, struggling to push herself up.  “Lyddie could use some help around here.”
"Y'do so many useful things, like cuddle me, that's such an important service, c'mere..." he tried to pull Win back.
Win whined, unable to fight him off and relented, letting him hold her. “If you’re sure...” she pouted, unsure why she had woken up in such a strange mood.
"Just ten more minutes, in fifteen we'll all get up, no more than half an hour," Nathan kissed the back of Win's neck. "Then we can do all the useful shit y'want."
Win rolled to face him, slipping her arms around his neck. “Okay,” she agreed, stealing a sleepy kiss, “useful shit... like planning’ Lyddie’s birthday.... and other things,” she murmured.
Nathan hummed in response, falling back asleep. A voice in his head kept saying that's what Lyddie meant by being "the odd one out", but he was too tired to listen.
It was almost an hour later by the time Win stirred again. “Nathan,” she murmured, stretching against him.
"Yes?" his voice was muffled by the pillow, by now he had forgotten most of the conversation from earlier.
Groaning, Win turned toward her Nathan next. “Nathan,” she murmured, nudging him, but he merely slung his arm over her with a grunt. “Guys...” Win sighed, knowing she should get up, but far too comfortable.
"What? Is Lyds home already? Did she make lunch?" Lyddie's Nathan tried to open his eyes, a weird feeling like he was supposed to be doing something else.
“No, I don’t think she’s here,” Win answered, pushing herself up despite her Nathan’s arm over her. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, she slipped off the bed and out into the other room.
Lyddie's Nathan grunted, sitting up, what was he supposed to do? OH! Lyds' birthday, right...
"Hey man, we gotta get up," he poked his clone's shoulder. "We got shit t'do."
Win’s Nathan groaned, cracking one eye at his clone. “Yeah, yeah, alright,” he said with a yawn, his jaw cracking.
"Hey, Winnie!" Lyddie's Nathan called, with pride. "Told ya! One hour and we'd all be awake!" he followed her outside.
Win rolled her eyes, already sitting at the counter with her laptop open, a mug of tea in hand. “Yeah, only cuz I woke you up.”
"But I'm up, aren't I? Baby steps, darlin'," he looked in the fridge. "So, any ideas for Lyddie's birthday?" he sat next to Win, devouring some leftover ravioli he didn't bother heating up.
“Ugh, I could’ve made you somethin’,” she muttered, shaking her head as her Nathan stumbled out of the room as well. “Well, I think we should take her back to the Brewery for sure, since she sat that out the other day.”
"Don't sweat it, I'm pretty sure Lyddie makes extra for this very reason..." Lyddie's Nathan mindlessly responded. "Yeah, we should do it at the end of the day, this way we can shag her right after."
Win frowned at his response, drawing in on herself slightly. “Yeah, that should work,” she murmured. “Hey babe, do you want somethin’?” Win asked as her Nathan went to the fridge.
“Nah, I’ll find somethin’ in here. Don’t bother yourself,” he said, waving her question away as he stuck his head into the fridge.
“Oh. Okay.”
"Hey... you okay, babe?" Lyddie's Nathan noticed Win's frown, he was determined to be more perceptive after what happened the day before. "Aren't you excited? She's gonna be over the moon with our surprise."
“I’m... fine,” she sighed. “I just wanna make sure it’s perfect. Lyddie does so much for us... I don’t wanna let her down.  I wanna be just as useful.”
"It's gonna be perfect," he gently ran his fingers through Win's hair. "Don't worry, if there's one thing we can do is celebrate shit, there's no way we can let her down... you're so useful, Winnie, we love you! Right?" he gave his clone a pointed look.
“What? Y-yeah!” Win’s Nathan exclaimed, straightening. “Course we do!”
Win smiled weakly, but went back to her computer, looking through attractions.
"She mentioned the aquarium, right? Maybe we could go there..." Lyddie's, Nathan suggested. "And if y'find bumper cars she'll lose it. It's her absolute favorite."
“That’s what I was thinking about the aquarium,” Win mused, adding it to the list. “Yep, there’s bumper cars too,” she said, finding that. “Anythin’ else? Oh! Maybe one of us could make some fireworks over the beach or something to end the night.”
"Yeah! She'd be into that... and a cake, a big one!" Lyddie's Nathan grinned, last year her birthday wasn't all that, they were all living paycheck to paycheck, so he really wanted to impress her. "We could go see a show or somethin', when we're back."
Win nodded. “Sounds good, I’ll find a bakery,” she mused, shutting her laptop and standing. Turning, she began looking through the cupboards.
"You lookin' for somethin', babe?" Lyddie's Nathan watched as Win opened and shut the doors. "I can reach it for ya..."
I’m fine, I just thought I’d make something for lunch for when Lyddie gets back,” she replied, completely unsure what she was doing, but wanting to make sure her fiancé got something to eat since she had to run out so fast that morning.
Lyddie's Nathan looked at his twin terrified, it's true lately Win has been getting better in the kitchen, but it was still a little scary when she decided to cook. "That's sweet... what you thinkin' of? Maybe that pasta y'made the other day for her? We can help."
“I don’t wanna make the same thing again,” Win said with a frown. “Do you know where Lyds keeps her recipes?”
"I don't think she has any... she just Mary Poppins it out, but we can look it up online," Lyddie's Nathan looked for his phone. "I'm sure we can find somethin'."
“Right, okay,” Win exclaimed, rather touched that Lyddie’s Nathan was being so helpful. She was already on the brink of breaking into tears, she didn’t want to break down in front of him. “Okay,” she repeated, taking a deep breath.
"C'mere, babe, it's okay, Lyddie's gonna be so happy," he pulled Win into his lap, kissing her shoulder tenderly while he scrolled through his phone. "D'you see somethin' y'like?"
Win relaxed in his embrace and looked through the recipes. “That one looks pretty easy,” she mused, pointing to a casserole. “I think we have the ingredients too.” She fell silent for a moment before turning to look back at Lyddie’s Nathan.
“Thank you,” she whispered. “I just... I hated seeing Lyddie so upset the other day, feelin’ like the odd one out cuz she’s so responsible. I wanna be able t’take care of you guys too,” she admitted.
"Looks tasty," Lyddie's Nathan agreed, getting up to look for the ingredients, he wasn't the best in the kitchen either, but together they seemed to be a good team. "Don't feel bad, sweetheart, we grew up different from her. Lyds was forced t'be the way she is, cause that was the only thing she had going' for her. But that doesn't mean you're less useful or skilled. You complement each other."
“I guess,” Win sighed, pulling out the dishes they’d need. “All I’m good for is playing music and partying though. I don’t see how that’s very useful.”
"That's not true!" he laughed. "Yesterday when Lyddie was upset only you were able t'fix it, you're good with people, especially Lyds. Not t'mention you're kind, and clever, and funny..."
Win hid her smile as she checked the recipe again. “Thank you...” she murmured softly, affection gripping her.
"I love you, Winnie," Lyddie's Nathan stole a kiss before going back to helping her. Not long after, the doorbell rang.
"Hey loves," Lydia's voice echoed from the hallway, hoping someone was awake. "I forgot my keys, can one of you let me in?"
“Got it!” Win’s Nathan called, jumping up so Win or his twin wouldn’t have to. “Welcome home, Lollipop!” he exclaimed, scooping her into his arms as soon as she was in the door.
"Oh, that's something nice to come home to," Lydia giggled, she was insanely tired, and hungry, she felt like she just fought a battle, but her day was immediately brightened. "I missed you guys... something smells good."
“Hey! We missed you too!” Win exclaimed, wiping her hands before hurrying over too, embracing Lydia as soon as her Nathan released her. “We made some lunch,” she murmured as she squeezed her.
"Guys I'm so disgusting right now, you shouldn't be hugging me," Lyddie laughed.
"Bollocks," her Nathan joined the embrace, kissing the top of her head.
"I'm starving," she looked at the oven, her mouth watering. "You read my mind!"
“It was Winnie’s idea,” Win’s Nathan exclaimed, rubbing her back soothingly as she flushed.
“It was nothin’... I had some help too,” she said, waving the thought away. “I felt so bad for this morning...”
"There's nothing to feel bad about, the only thing I can blame you for is making me cum so hard that I couldn't stay awake," Lydia chuckled. "But thank you, I always feel so special when you cook for me..."
“Well, prepare y’feel extra special then,” Win said, “because I wanna make breakfast and lunch for you every day for the rest of the week,” she insisted.
"Aww, sweetie, you don't have to," Lydia kissed the back of Win's hands. "I love to cook for my army of lovers," she joked, heaving to the bathroom. "I just gotta shower real quick, five minutes."
“Oh... okay,” Win deflated slightly as Lyddie hurried past her and she went to sit on the couch, leaving the Nathans to share a look.
"Lyddie," her Nathan rushed after her. "C'mon, don'tcha think you deserve some rest? Winnie can manage, should've seen her today..."
"Are you sure? I don't want you to feel like you have to do this because of the alarm thing," she shouted from the shower.
“It’s whatever, I’ll do... whatever you want,” Win murmured, clearing her throat before suddenly pushing off the couch. “I’m gunna have a smoke, I’ll be back.”
"Hey, Winnie!" Lyddie's Nathan didn't know what to do, he wanted both girls to feel loved and needed, because they were. "Wait for me!" He nearly tripped as he put on his jeans. He grabbed a coat, not bothering with a shirt, and followed Win outside.
“Wait, I’ll— well, shit,” Win’s Nathan exclaimed, as his twin rushed after her first. “I’ll stay here, then, and make sure th’food doesn’t burn, I guess...” he muttered, kicking himself for not acting sooner, hoping that his clone could help her calm down.
"Is everything alright?" Lydia came out of the bathroom, still wet, slightly startled after the commotion. "What happened, sweetie? Is Winnie alright?"
“Uhh, yeah, sorta...” Win’s Nathan answered hesitantly. “Win’ll be fine, she’s just been feelin’ a little... useless, I guess. She just wants t’help you out, so y’don’t feel like you’re the only only one bein’ responsible,” he explained.
"Oh my God!" Lydia felt a guilty sickly feeling in her stomach as she sat on Win's Nathan's lap. "She's not useless, I just- I thought she was trying to compensate me for what happened earlier, and she didn't have to... I'm so stupid."
“Hey, you’re not stupid,” Win’s Nathan exclaimed quickly, pulling Lyddie against his chest. “I think she just wants t’show you how much you mean t’her... how much we all do.”
"I love when she does that, I love to get home from work and know she's been thinking about me, I just didn't want her to feel like she has to," Lydia sighed, letting the soreness of her muscles fade away with a little help from her power.
“You didn’t have to follow me, y’know?” Win sighed, quickly turning so Lyddie’s Nathan wouldn’t see the way her eyes swam as she brought her cigarette to her lips. “I’ll... I’ll be alright.”
"I know, 'cause you're tough and strong, but I wanted to..." Lyddie's Nathan shrugged, zipping up his coat and wrapping an arm around his fiancé. "I care about you, and I wanna make sure you're okay."
Win quickly ran her sleeve under her eye to catch the tears there as she leaned against him. “I just... I just wanna help,” she said in a small voice.
"I know, babe," Lyddie's Nathan held Win close. "She probably doesn't wanna trouble you with that, but I'm sure if she knew you actually wanna help, she'd be so happy."
Win nodded, sniffling softly as she turned to Lyddie’s Nathan, burying her face in his jacket til suddenly she gave a jerk. “Shit, the food’s gunna burn!” she gasped, quickly dropping her cigarette and attempting to pull out of Nathan’s grasp.
"Okay, okay, slow down," Lyddie's Nathan laughed as they made their way back inside. "I know the other one isn't the smart twin, but he wouldn't let that happen," he dropped his coat by the door.
“Take that back!” Win gasped, though she wasn’t exactly surprised to find him comforting Lydia.
Not stopping til she got to the stove she quickly pulled the casserole out and checked it. “Oh thank god”, she exclaimed, heaving a sigh. “It’s a little crispy on the edges, but it didn’t get too burnt,” she muttered.
"I love crispy," Lydia mumbled, hoping Win wasn't upset with her. "And it smells amazing, I'm sure it's perfect... I'm gonna put some clothes on, and I'll be right out," she kissed Win's Nathan's cheek before getting up.
Win’s Nathan watched her go before getting up as well. “Hey, did you just say I’m not smart?” he exclaimed, shooting his twin a glare as he joined Win in the kitchen. “You okay, babe?” he asked, tilting his face to study her.
“Yeah, I’m... okay,” she said, nervously watching the door Lyddie had disappeared through.
"At least y'have good hearin'," Lyddie's Nathan teased, poking his clone's shoulder, trying to cheer Win up. "You're not totally hopeless..."
"Hey, stop that bickering," Lyddie came out of the room wearing one of the boys' shirts and her hair up. "One of you is the smart one, and the other one is good in bed."
"I take it back, you're the smart one," her Nathan quickly corrected.
“Wait, which one is which?” Win’s Nathan cried. “What about me?” Win asked hesitantly.
"I'm just dicking around," Lydia took Win in her arms. "You're all perfect, at least to me you are," she kissed her forehead.
That made Win smile and she squeezed Lyddie back. “Welcome home,” she murmured.

I present to you, the three types of lovers. The question was: Would you still love me if I were a worm?
And the answers were...
Win: Aw, I'd love you no matter what, I could carry you around in my pocket and we'd always be together.
Win's Nathan: 'Course I would, d'you think I'm some sort of quitter? I'd marry worm you!
My Nathan: Lyds, you're so fuckin' weird... Yeah, 'course.
