alright everyone guess who missed the premiere of nielciceiregamusic’s i am become christmas ep? yeah call me a fake fan all you want here’s my liveblog one day late.

-say it aint so? megalovania? and oh there's semi-charmed life. prelude to mashups indeed

-christmas will be soon is pitched up. i am immediately apprehensive

-i'm having a hard time getting the chat replay up which is a shame i like seeing if niel had anything to say

-yup. that one's not a surprise in the slightest. personally i think it'd be strange if snow halation didn't show up at some point. the title kinda gave it away as well

-if you're reading this & you're a nielciceiregamusic fan can you send me a link to the discord server btw i don't think the ones from the older premieres work any more

-this mashup works about as well as i'd expect any snow halation mashup to work. i know my SiIvagunner and yeah. don't think christmas will be soon is a solid 4:20 or however much though so i'm curious how that'll work out

-doubling up on the chorus for a finale is a good as a move as any. nothing objectionable so far but that doesn't mean i'm not mildly afraid of what might come next

-that title (hopefully) tells me everything i need to know about this one. a christmas song.

-oh goodness i can already tell it's the wrong key. you're doing a god's work niel

-oooh. oh good lord that harmony. demonic. and the high pitched bits? damn i didn't know niel had connections to alvin & the chipmunks

-truly, this is the mouth dreams of sex

-oh god oh f- she's coming for me

-i really like the more silly & dynamic they're taking here. the demonic harmonies & falsetto bits are unique sure, but are bringing a new type of character to the rip. i hope this shows a new direction the channel's taking because it seems like a good one to me

-no this. how in god's name did i not see this coming. it's not get happy from mouth dreams at least. vibes are almost identical though

-well. no i think it's more of a the end/rollercoaster deal. or another one that's got a hella simplistic instrumental & more detailed vocal part. god i should relisten to mouth sounds sometime

-the keys don't match perfectly but this works surprisingly well. a nielciceiregamusic pleasant surprise is always the best kind of pleasant surprise

-it's incredibly easy to forget how short i am become christmas is but here comes the final song. i already know this one's title & probably the joke but everyone knows that's nothing in the face of niel ciceirega. i fully expect to get my head chopped off for me

-i forget whether niel follows the SiIva rule of absolutely decimating the integrity of slam rips but. i've heard 5 seconds of cryptoslamta & i think it doesn't matter

-wait. wait a minute i need to check something pause the ep i need to goddam check something am i an idiot. am i dense

-cryptosanta's in fcuking 5/4 time for many of the verses. then there's a 6/4 measure into the 4/4 chorus and then that breakdown bit that's in 6/4 i think and then 4/4 til the end. i'm an idiot i've listened to this song god knows how many times i've noticed the slighty funky time signature how did i not notice it's in 5/4 it's the most obvous thing in the world it's counted out in the vocals what the hell. and how in the got damn hell is niel going to combine that with goddam space jam.

-and of course they have to put semi-charmed life & megalovania don't they. prelude to mashups. reusing a letmotif. obligatory. my only question is when is say it ain't so going to

-i can't think of anything more to say. i've been drained. and am slowly being filled with threefold niel mashups. good morning world

-hannukah was over last friday so i hope everyone who celebrated it had a fulfilling time and to those of you sick & tired of christmas i wish pleasant & healthy weather upon you all

the very best of nielciceiregamusic volume one liveblog? for real? yes for real you know it i may have missed the premiere but i can still have a good damn time

-i’ll be damned if theyre not good at sentence mixing this is humorous and coherent in a way that rival’s neil’s own skills. very good & precise song choices

-mold en mono!!!! hell yeah that’s my favorite song from neil’s first 2 albums

-oh yeah say it ain’t star is totally one of this channel’s best & also one of the only ones on this compilation i think ive heard before whoops. well actually if they have ivanushka-tone-telephone i know that one but i’ll admit i havent listened to niel’s whole discography, i’m a new fan & not ashamed to admit it

-ooh ive got some falling to do- and this one song i dont recognize outside of any context but this channel

-ive got some business to do is an amazing title. maybe i should use it to write a crossover between my i earn my life & ive got some falling to do characters

-the pitchbending here is surprisingly good. especially here with the palindromic guitar solo. neil’s such a madlad for creating that in the first place and niel here does a great job with it

-flamingo but fast ooh boy what is this. due to hanging out writing my commentary i cant rewatch the live chat but like. i can come back to this video if i want i’m not missing out on anything permanently

-fl- how is that spelled? ffllaammiinnggoo legs right every letter just appears twice. of course they’d use flamingo legs, i shouldve expected that. what’s owner’s choice supposed to m- oh God that’s a deep neil voice, what is this, you got a toothache?

-like granted the original song is decently high pitched for a neil song, especially considering his young age at the time of making

-why is this such a bop. that chorus is slightly messy, in true SiIvagunner fashion, but like. it’s good. flamingo legs is short though so i’m not sure how they’ll stretch this to fit all of flamingo.

-ahaha. 4/20

-are we going to get a big twist at the very end? in traditional SiIvagunner style? nope just going straight into Aaron?

-no this is called...アーロン ~ How I Beat Shaq & seems to be some touhou??? remix of aaron?

-yeah i may not know much about touhou but there are sound effects & a trumpet it's gotta be touhou which is. interesting to say the least

-like. this is a bop. ive got nothing to complain about but. oh niel you legend this is just amazing & unexpected

-the midi piano is really cool though- oh wait niel just sent out the name of the next track early. it's not lo-fi aliens time yet is it? this still sounds like how i beat shaq

-ive gotta translate that japanese real quick

-wait no. isolated neil vocals. it's definitely lo-fi aliens time but. Oh damn. that's honestly amazing

-i paused (typing) the exact moment the drop went down. are these original niel compositions? if so then major props to niel these are incredible. no wonder this is considered a best of nielciceiregamusic

-ok that japanese from earlier is literally just aaron with a tilda at the end. i'd expect nothing less from you niel

-that's the second time youve sent out the name of the next track early niel is something wrong on my end or yours

-fyi there's a distinct difference between niel & neil

-CHIPTUNE WHO???? oh hell yes that's amazing

-with a title of why i was expecting a version that replaces the who's with why's but no this is a bop

-oh there's the all star. oh ok yeah. still a bop the sheer amount of effort niel puts into these things. they only upload high quality rips

-there's something going on in the background melodies but i can't pace it. wonder what soundfont they used for this?

-huh those unnoticed grim lyrics in semi-charmed life take on different meanings in this context. good going niel. this is also growing on me slowly. like this. may in fact be a bop

-although it is weird not hearing the messed up lyrics from piss in this. honestly expected "how do i get back to the place where i fell asleep inside your nose" among other things

-not much to say but i have started really truly physically bopping to this so. give this a listen if you please

-can't help but pay special attention to the bass on this song after- hang on the next song's called goddam super bustin what in the hell am i in for

-same intro as normal bustin. everything seems normal. tempo's increasing oh god

-is this going to be like super hey ya? OH

-(i’m back!)the more i listen to this the more i realize that ive probably listened to this on its own on this channel somewhere. maybe it deserves to be 4th place but it's still painfully cursed

-the fact that it works so well with this instrumental that's pretty specifically a unique neil creation is what gets me there's very little space monkey or mafia about this but it is all niel & neil working together

-this is the uh. scandanavian version of carameldansen too, seeing as i can't understand the lyrics but dont remember what language theyre in

-layering these harmonies is very impressive i will be honest

-next up is shark which i dont think ive heard before (none of these are uploaded under these names but still) i know it's gonna be jaws but what specifically is an enigma still

-wait a minute didnt niel really recently remake this? no wait. ive been listening to the individual reuploads they did after this livestream that's why i heard this

-god this one is an absolute legend though totally deserves 3rd place. i wish i voted i just didnt think i'd heard enough niel to have a very educated opinion

-seriously if you want to listen to anything from nielciceiregamusic it should be the top 4 here theyre amazing

-shark is basically the wndrwll of jaws in the sense that it's mostly lyrics being fukced around & some harmony/instrumental shenanigans on the side. and said harmony shenanigans sound honestly super good

-oh ive reached the part with the really actually good harmonies & stuff i love it. everyone cool it!

-closertrucks ive almost certainly heard this before but i cant recognize that title it just feels faintly familiar

-OH i recognize the name closer because it's one half of uhhhh that song from mouth silence what's it called rollercoaster!

-in rollercoaster there's the lyrics "i want to funk you like an animal" and all that and here i think there's the instrumental to whatever that song was this is cool

-niel also put some kind of filter over neil's voice i think which only serves to make this more surreal goodness i'm having a good and terrible time at the same time

-this one isn't one of the top 4 which i understand but it is well done.

-i'll be honest when i listened to rollercoaster i knew the vocal's original song had to sound weird but never in my life did i imagine it would sound like this

-in the thumbnail it says they use deporitaz in this which i'm still waiting for. i swear to god if i finish this album without hearing a single deporitaz track i will be very mad

-actually i may need to listen to this album into class if i hope to finish it all at once because there's about 17 minutes left on the album & 16 minutes until class starts

-nightmoving, that's from mouth dreams & apparently this rip tied for 1st place

-... i still havent listened to all of mouth dreams unfortunately so. i can't tell what's off with this.

-that's just a neil problem more than a niel one, he'll combine songs so well and often songs from long enough ago that i cant recognize the originals and just take it as a normal good song. particularly stuff like mullet with butterfly wings

-still i think i really faintly recognize the backing track here. i dont know if backing track or instrumental track is the right term to use here but it doesnt matter to me

-touch-bone telephone (i called it megalo-phone telephone in an old post of mine) is a definitely good candidate for 1st place along with this one but i'm holding out for ivanushka-tone telephone or whatever that one's been dubbed

-i dont have much to say about this one because ive not listened to a single of the original tracks involved in it but. i suppose there's some sort of contrast between the vocals & the instrumental

-somedial up next? oh a sundial rip has to be good but not sure what the some.

-listen niel i know you take inspiration from SiIvagunner but. you don't have to straight up work flintstones instrumentals into sundial.

-understandable wanting to condense as many SiIvagunner references in one song and like. this still sounds nice, it's hard to fukc up sundial, but it still is a cacophany. may have spelled that wrong

-speaking of spelling i have a very good reason for capitalizing SiIvagunner every time. we gunner fans like our references. yeah i'm a SiIvagunner fan also

-call your dad is almost certainly also a song ive heard before by name alone i was there for the spirit phone premiere at least. tied 6th place you say? weird to hop back some places, what have you got planned for us niel?

-yep. this is from the nielciceiregamusic spirit phone premiere. what a classic, can't believe it made its way up to 6th place despite being so young

-not much to say about this one that i didnt say when listening to the premiere. this works accursedly well

-seriously who wouldve thought two spirit phones would just. slide together like this

-there's like 2-3 versions of this. there's the one with all star at the end, there's the really sad version where this comes in at the end, & i think there's this, the full touch bone version

-just really impressive synth useage. sawtooth square or uhh. sine? wave. i dont know that much about synths i cant even ask a question about it because i dont know all the terms

-the piano is just. hella good. and here comes the uhh cello or bass or whatever! i wonder if this is an actual string instrument or if niel just uses synths for these. because the idea of irl touch-bone telephone is amazing if i must be honest

-even beyond the meme. there's already sans eye shenanigans in the spirit phone cover

-sound effects! hell yeah

-so no deporitaz in this album. that's a damn shame. i know this is just volume one but you promised niel! you promised!

-aight i have to join spanish now but i'll just let these synths (feat. once upon a time & your best friend for maximum feels) carry me away

-oh there's the lick as well in those synths as well forgot to mention
