I don't think people responding to the scrambled "uh oh, we got caught" Tumblr AI announcement with "just nightshade and glaze all the art you post guys! it's your own fault if you don't do that small step! It's ok we'll get through this!" are Getting It:

Everything has already been scraped, including the account you haven't been able to access since 2015. Yes even the private, locked sideblogs of all your old art. Did you glaze it? did you nightshade it? in 2015? can you log in and check? no? Opted in.

This also includes any writing, creative or otherwise, posted to Tumblr. Did you nightshade the poetry and fanfiction you posted to Tumblr on your old account in 2018? why not? not a plan-aheader huh? Opted in!

It's opt in by default and by design. People who left Tumblr ages ago will likely not hear about this and won't know to regain account access and opt out. People who have died won't be able to log in and opt out. People who deleted past accounts or sideblogs won't be able to log in and opt out. People whose content is reposted here from Pixiv or other external sources by unrelated third parties won't have any way to say "hey half of that blog is MY stuff. Opt ME out."

Sorry. They just have everything ever put on the site. And you didn't opt out in 2015 when you lost access to your login email, so it's included. This is on purpose because they don't WANT people to be able to opt out, they want people to stay opted in saying "well my art sucks so I'm poisoning the data model 👍" while posting jokes and creative writing, they WANT you to say "well I'm unaffected" and keep posting photos and text and stuff. Midjourney wants that and Tumblr wants to do anything it can to satisfy Midjourney and scrape some cash out of that deal.

I'm sorry because I love this place too, but genuinely the decisions being made here are business decisions being put into place by a company trying to squeeze the last drops of blood out of a stone. Tumblr is not your friend. Staff is not your friend. Automattic is not your friend. The CEO has hopefully PROVEN he is not anyone's friend. This is a business first and a product that they are selling, not to you and me, but to advertisers and partners. Tumblr will ensure that Tumblr users see their ads and supply them data.

Frankly I do not trust this company or this website and I cannot in good faith just believe that they're going to look at my opt out checkbox and say "okay! ^_^ we will remove everything Dama has ever said or done from our AI scrape. we promise to do it!" and then actually do it. They already have the data. They can just claim that whatever is produced through machine learning based in part off of my data is unrelated, came from other sources, etc. I do not have trust in this website. I don't see how anyone could at this point.

I feel like I'm watching a trainwreck from the inside and no one wants to get out of their seats and try hopping off into the safe grassy field. Wait, they say. IDK if my previous ask sent but... bought tons of tickets for roundsey last night. done that before, won low value prizes before, no biggie. today, i am banned for multiaccounting ~5 years ago, but i am listed as winner of roundsey... did i win the crown which made me get investigated? i feel bad, its like i wasted a ks item for the community without thinking. i never got to see what i won myself.

THis Gilded Crown debacle makes me want to stop participating in Roundsey altogether, if they're gonna investigate winners for possible multiing. This is exactly why I've been against Roundsey being the only way to redistribute KS and Y1 items back into the game. It's a very good treasure sink, yes, but we need other ways to EARN the high-ticket items.

I think instead of re-raffling the crown staff should log into that account, put the crown on the first dragon in the lair, and leave it there forever.

Mfs can't even lie convincingly on why they get banned. Your account is from 2022, you couldn't have funneled stuff "back in 2017/2018". Hope they reraffle that damn crown and that people stop believing banned users on why they're (mostly) all innocent angels that made one mistake years ago without actual proof.

Ian pressed a few buttons on the handycam and showed a thumbs up to me.

I was sitting on the couch in the living room of my apartment. Pictures hung on the cream coloured wall behind me and a coffee table stood in front of the couch.

I was wearing a black pencil skirt with white shirt tucked in it. My red hair were in a simple bun and my face had minimal make-up.

As soon as Ian showed a thumbs up, I gave the camera a smile and started speaking.

"My name's Penallaphe Balfour and I am one of the major directors of NYC Mental Health organization. Today I'm going to share my own story and the main reason I decided to be a part of this organization. This may take a while....."

July 2014, Texas

I was standing in front of my locker when the principal announced my name on the intercom.

I had no idea what I had done and due to that the nervousness increased in my body which made it harder to walk properly to the office.

As soon as I entered, I saw a jock of black hair facing the principal on one of the seats.

Upon seeing me, the principal motioned towards the seat next to the black haired person and spoke, "Ms. Balfour please take a seat."

I hesitantly reached and sat. On seeing my hesitation the principal gave me a warm smile and said, "Don't worry you're not in trouble."

I instantly relaxed in the chair and then I noticed the other person beside me.

Holy Moly.

Eyes of honey, tan skin, strong jawline, jet black hair and body of a Greek God.

Only one person had such distinct features in my grade: Hawke Da'neer. Star quarterback of our football team. Girls fawn over him and boys want to be him.

I knew he was handsome but this was enough to make the Hemsworth brothers jealous.

He gave me a smirk seemingly knowing what effect he had on me. Then I realized I had been checking him out so openly and my cheeks turned pink due to embarrassment.

I broke our eye contact and turned towards the principal, "I'm sorry but can I know what am I here for?"

Yeah, no I haven't ever talked to Hawke mainly because of our social status. He hung out with the 'popular' and 'cool' group whereas I had only one best friend.

"Ah, yes so as I was saying, the teachers have noticed that Hawke's failing this semester and he needs someone to tutor him. If he doesn't improves, I'm sorry to say but we will have to fail him. So he decided to get tutored instead of failing. I thought you have maintained one of the best grades and can help in tutoring him."

Gods, me? No, thank you. My social skills are already non existent and he's asking me to tutor the most popular guy in our grade. Imagine the chaos it would cause.

"Uh b-but why not someone else for this job?" I cringed internally on my stutter but thankfully no one noticed.

"Do you have any problem regarding this?"

To that, I could only remain silent. After a few seconds, I murmured a no and the matter got finished there. But I knew the drama soon would begin.

Outside the principal's office Hawke spoke the first words since I met him.

"So princess, when should we start?" Gods, even his voice was so sexy.

Eww did I just say the word 'sexy'?

"Princess? That's a lame nickname even for you." I scowled at him. It's not like I haven't heard the rumors about him sleeping with girls then dumping them the next day.

"What do you want me to call you then? Shortcake? Kitten? Pumpkin?" His smile just grew with each word and my scowl deepened.

"Just, shut up. I'm here to tutor you, not to be one of your play toys."

That made his eyes harden and his jaw clenched, "Don't pretend to know me."

I narrowed my eyes further, "I'm not pretending to know you. I'm saying on what I know and that is you lead girls on, then sleep with them and break there hearts the next day."

At this point his hands turned into fists and he took two deep breaths.

Finally he said, "We'll start next week. I'll tell you when and where."

Without letting me say something, he left.

I was just about shout and ask how would he have my number if I didn't hear someone else calling my name.

I turned around and saw my best friend approaching me.

"What was that about, Poppy?"

That was the super power of Venotta. She had eagle eyes and she couldn't let anything go under her nose.

"Nothing, just that I have to tutor Hawke for this semester."

Her eyes bulged out of there sockets and she took a whole minute to absorb what I said.

"But why you?" Her voice wasn't sharp but there was something in it that I couldn't put my hand on.

"I asked the principal the same thing but he said I have one of the best grades so I will have to tutor him. Anyways, I don't like him much and its just for 1 semester."

She was about to say something but a hand came on my shoulder making her glare at whoever was standing behind me and I whirled around.

Oh, hell no.

Tali's head perked up thinking of who it could be. All she know right now its 10am, Jaemin, Jeno, are out biking, Renjun and Jisung went to get groceries and Chenle just came. Then Straykids are too intimidated by the dreamies to come to visit her. She went out and saw someone who she hasnt seen since maybe the beginning of 2017.

"MIGUEL" She jumped up on him for a hug and he hugged her back he grunted for a second. Chenle was surprised at her action while her brother was expecting it. Even though they bicker a lot they miss each other.

"Hey Butterfly." He hugged her back. Chenle was now taken aback who he is, and also why everyone close to her that are not nct or who they know personally call her Butterfly, what does it mean??

"Chenle."

He hummed, as now he was focused on Tali.

"Chenle, this is my brother Miguel, and Miguel this is Chenle, he is Chinese and a 01 liner." Miguel made an :0 face and shook Chenle's hand.

"Nice to meet you, Tali has talked a lot about your group."

"Really? Tali doesn't mention you much at all."

"Yeah, I asked her not to, I find it weird thats all, I wanna know you guys personally and see who my sister is around you know?"

"Yeah, here let me show you around."

Chenle was nervous, he didn't show it, but he was. Miguel was a tall man, who was quite intimidating, plus he has his only sister around 18 guys (at the time), he is bound to worry no?

Tali looked at them with a smile, she didn't know her brother would come today, good thing she clean before he came. Now at the moment she is wondering when the boys are gonna come, and if they were what most likely gonna happen is chaos.

Jaemin would yell for Jisung and flop on the couch sweaty from being dragged to bike around. Jeno would probably take off his shirt. Then Jisung would come whining about not getting his favourite snack while Renjun is just done. She thought about all of that in that moment and she said....nah, they need to prepare I can't scar them like that.

"Hey guys, lets go get coffee, I haven't been out for a bit." Miguel raised an eyebrow.

"When was the last time you went out anyway?" He questioned her knowing damn well she probably hasn't left the building in a good week or 2.

"Ha, funny Im gonna go get ready." She ran away not wanting to get questioned. He shook his head and faced Chenle, he seemed nervous which he understood but wanted him to be comfortable so he can get close, and also to make him snitch on Tali for not taking care for herself.

"You don't need to be nervous, yeah I can tell you are." Chenle chuckled and nodded his head.

"Yeah I'm nervous, Im hoping to get a good impression on my friends brother and I can tell you this much, we love her we really do...but she's-

"distant, yeah I know, she knows too, she is just scared thats all." He clairfied.

"She is trying though, thats what counts." He seems to reassure Chenle and also him, that she will be able to get though it.

"Im ready~" She came out, and smiled at them. The two boys turned to her and gave her a smile right back.

"Alright Tali~, where to now? The coffee shop?" Chenle asked, Tali nodded her head, you can see the excitement running though her as she skips down the block. Chenle is a little behind her making sure she doesn't bump into someone or anything. Then Miguel is alittle more behind them, mostly observe Chenle and his relationship with Tali, thats what he mainly came for, to see dream but of course to his luck, they are "busy".

Tali described Chenle as confidence and a sweet boy, who is down to earth and energetic. He can see that, and he can also see the love Chenle has for his sister, he doubted them he wasn't gonna lie, he was scared for her not wanting her to go through more trauma then they already have. But the way Chenle looks at his sister is something else, like he would do anything for her, he can tell not in a crush way more of a older precious sister.

They arrived at the shop, they ordered and Tali was about to pay, then Miguel smacked her hand away about to give the cashier his card but then Tali pushed him, then Tali got holden back by Chenle and payed for the coffee.

Chenle shook his head at them. She got up and grab their coffee and then stuck her tongue out at Miguel and Miguel just glared at her since they are in a public space he decided not to "fight" here. She just looked him are you kidding me face. Honestly thats the first time Chenle has seen Tali somewhat hostile, but yet playful side.

They went to the park and walked around a bit while the two boys talked amongs themselves to get to know each other Tali was abit more ahead of them.

"So you are a singer correct?"

"Yeah Im a singer, I heard you were a model?"

"Yup, so what do you guys usually have days off, I was planning on a surprise visit but obviously no one was really there." Miguel said in a obvious tone.

"Yeah they are all doing their own things right now, let me check when we are available...NOONA!"

Tali turned.

"Yeah?"

"You off Wednesday?"

"Let me check.....yeah."

Chenle turned back to Miguel.

"Yeah we are available Wednesday. "

Miguel laughed, he started to like Chenle, now all he is wondering if the other guys are good, cause he knows there are like more then 7 guys at that worries him abit how overwhelmed she might feel. They noticed Tali on the phone and decided to sit on the bench while she was on the phone so they won't lose her.

"Yeah I'm out with Chenle...around 2 I guess...yeah see you." Tali walked back to the two.

"Who was it?"

"It was Mark, he was asking for the lyrics but I said I wasn't home so he will get them later."

"Whens later?"

"2."

"Ah, good cause I have a photoshoot to go to at 2 which is 30 minutes it takes..15 minutes to get there.....so-"

"You gotta go???"

"..yeah"

She sadly smiled at him.

"Bye bye." And she gave him a big hug.

"Bye bye my butterfly." He kissed her head and waved by to Chenle. Then the two started to head back home.

"So that was your brother?"

"Yup."

"He tall."

"I know."

"And intimidating."

"Yeah.....I wonder if the boys are home."

"WE ARE HER-"

What they see is what exactly Tali predicted, Jaemin was sweating on the couch but this time shirtless, Jeno was shirtless, Jisung was on the couch playing games and whining about not getting his favorite snack while Renjun was in his room.

Jeno first noticed them home and went to give a hug to Tali but Tali dogged and ran, while Jeno was after her. Chenle just looked at the chaos and shook his head. Jeno finally caught her while Tali was whinning about him being sweaty, and him laughing at her.

"So where did you guys go?"

"Coffee shop."

"Why?"

"Because we had an unexpected visitor~" Tali sang while she escaped Jenos grasp and sat next to Jisung that now was cuddling up to her. Jaemin raised an eyebrow.

"Who is the visitor?" Expecting it to be one of the straykids members.

"...."

"Tali.." Jeno warned her, they love Tali but they were still protective over her.

"My brother..." she whispered but they all heard her.

".....WHAT" They all said in disbelief. Then Renjun came out of his room.

"Whats with all the noise?"

"TALIS BROTHER CAME OVER."

"WHAT!"

"Yeah, he came over unexpectedly." She nodded her head slowly while make a :[ face.

"Yeah I met him." Chenle commented, then the 4 boys looked over at him with wide eyes.

"YOU WHAT?"

"Did you say anything stupid about us?!" Jisung asked worried.

"Nooo, listen I may make fun of us, but I'm trying to gain trust of Noona's brother okay? He's tall and intimidating." Chenle said while making his eyes big while saying tall and intimidating.

"Noona?"

"Hmm?"

She turned to a curious Jisung.

"How old is he?"

"Ohhh yeah how old is he, like is he older than you or younger??" Renjun continued.

"Uh, he is younger than me-"

"Oh so we are older?"

"No not exactly.."

"So is he adopted?"

"Nope, he is my twin he is just like 12 minutes younger than me..."

There was silence

"HE IS YOUR TWIN??"

"Yeah...."

"By the way."

Everyone looked at Chenle.

"He is coming over Wednesday..."

"Chenle...."

"Yeah?"

"Thats tomorrow..."

"I know.."
