unrelated to anything, I’ve very recently been coming to terms with the fact that my ADHD symptoms are...not just ADHD. like:

“It’s just ADHD hyperfixation”, I’d say--on the one year anniversary of said ‘hyperfixation’.

“Oh, this department store is overwhelming and it’s just because of my inability to filter details and limit my focus”, I’d think to myself--wholly unable to verbalize it because the lights are too bright.

“I giggle a lot at inappropriate times during conversation because it’s just an ADHD stim,” I explain in my art stream, somewhat apologetically--with a giggle.

“Time to put on my humansona”, I think to myself as I put on my shoes to go out to a family dinner that I had spent the whole day mentally preparing myself for. “I think I get so exhausted after, only because it requires me to spend a lot of energy focusing on conversations.”

“I don’t have a script in my head for this specific form of greeting”, I panic to myself, “Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.”

“I might have extremely overshared some details of my life that I did not mean to overshare--but it felt appropriate at the time??? Why does it feel icky to think about now?” I try to puzzle in my head a week after the conversation happened. “Maybe...a consequence of ADHD impulse control?”

“Oh, my friend has been mad at me for weeks and I had no idea. If I was paying better attention, maybe...but I can’t imagine what on earth I did to upset them and they think I am being intentionally obtuse about it.”

“TIL that most people do not appreciate me physically leaning on them, and I didn’t even realize I do it--this is gonna be a hard habit to unlearn.”

“Hey Bees,” my autistic friends say, “have you uhhhhh considered that...maybe....you’re.......”
