Honestly, any moment with you is treasured by Mark. Shockingly, any personal time is something he holds dear considering he doesn't attach well to others most of the time. So the fact that he found someone like you, who could handle his random bouts of distance without taking it personally, he's thrilled.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

He's pretty protective of you in most cases, but not unreasonably so. He'd try to persuade you to sway in his direction, but after his first unsuccessful attempt he'd leave you alone. He defends with his words, his eloquent speaking, trying to keep you from doing things he considers a bad idea.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He'd give it his all without intentionally doing so. Very humble on the surface, sort of shrugging off your shock but taking your compliments to heart. He acts like it didn't take much--and to him, it didn't, but adores the fact that you love everything so much.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He can't read the room sometimes or doesn't care too. Sometimes, his forward speaking can be a little hurtful. It doesn't happen intentionally, and when he's realized what he's done he's quick to apologize.

Very little, but not concerningly so. He makes sure he's clean and kept, but won't go any extra miles unless some occasion calls for it.

giffing tutorial/resources

hi anon! sorry it took me so long to answer. i figured this might be helpful for others out there who have asked me similar questions, so i’ve compiled a pretty comprehensive list of tutorials/resources. idk about others but when i was new to giffing, it took me a lot of painful effort to go around and look for resources, so i’m putting it all here to make it a little easier!

i download videos using 4k video downloader. it will download very good quality 1080p videos in .mp4 format. if you’re downloading a 4k video, make sure to change the setting option to .mkv so that you get 4k and not 1080p—for obvious reasons since you want the highest quality.

i rely on kpopexciting to get .ts files — which are basically raw, very high quality video files for live performances. they are much less grainy than .mp4 versions of live performances—which are the ones you’ll see uploaded to youtube. i’ve found that 4k videos (in .mkv) are just as good quality as .ts, but obviously you will rarely see live performances in 4k, so get .ts when you can!! you can also try to find .ts files on twitter, but you may have to do a lot of digging. i wish i could recommend you twitter accounts, but the ones i used to go to have been very inactive/taken down all their drives :( but this website is really nice and updated frequently so i would recommend it!

vapoursynth links + download. the reason you would use vapoursynth is to resize your gif, while maintaining the optimal quality of the gif. if you gif without vapoursynth (.ie only using photoshop), it will still be fine, but the image quality may be grainier. also, you will definitely need vapoursynth to gif .ts files —more will be explained in the tutorial i’ve linked below. i would recommend that you have a high processing/lots of ram/newer desktop or laptop to use vapoursynth so that 1, your computer isn’t fried and 2, your vapoursynth process will go a lot faster. i am using a 2017 macbook pro for all my work, and it runs pretty well, but my laptop still gets pretty hot so just make sure you’re not running a million things in the background while using adobe products and vapoursynth lol. i used a pretty old and beat up 2011 model macbook air back then, and i will say that yes vapoursynth worked and ran on it, but it took much longer, and basically fried the laptop’s battery (aka i had to get the battery changed twice and the laptop would die randomly) but issok it was a school borrowed laptop so i didn’t feel too bad lol. im just saying this as a precaution, to preserve the health of your electronic devices!! but don’t be afraid to use vapoursynth! you should still try it at least once.

thank you to @realstraykids for this super detailed, really nice tutorial! it includes how and where to download videos, how to gif using vapoursynth, using photoshop, comparisons, coloring, and pretty much all you need to know. 10/10 would recommend

thank you to @dreamcolouring for this lifesaver!!! the best and easiest way to blur out unwanted captions/objects in your gifs. i recommend doing this step after converting your frames to video timeline and before you do sharpening and coloring. another tip i’ll add is to feather the selection you’ve made right before you click on “add vector mask” —this will make sense once you’ve read through the tutorial. feathering it will make the blurred spot less noticeable and more subtle.

i use this generator to create gradient colored captions! copy and paste your text, then select the colors you want. generate the code, and copy it. change the settings of the text editor on your post to HTML. paste the code, preview, and voila! add elements <blockquote>,<b>,<i>, etc as needed. see more on colored captions in this tutorial by @kylos​ --i believe op mentioned a different and better color generator but for some reason it won’t work for me :( hopefully it works for u! basically same idea as the previous generator i mentioned.

my own mini tutorial/workflow process of making gifs. this includes working with a .ts file, vapoursynth, photoshop, coloring, watermarking, etc. and a few of my own tips below:

if you are working with an .mp4, you do not have to make any changes to the preprocessor/denoise filters/sharpening in the resizing part of vapoursynth—it doesn’t make that big of a difference if you do. but if you are working with a .ts file, definitely do make those changes,, that’s the whole reason you have vapoursynth. with an .mp4, i like to use vapoursynth to just resize, but i don’t add any additional settings. i use smart sharpen in photoshop to sharpen it, which is pretty good on it’s own (at least in photoshop 2020!).

my rule of thumb is to do add .02 seconds when i am setting frame delay. so if when you first import the frames, they are at 0.04 seconds, i usually change them to 0.06. of course, this is my personal taste—you can make all your gifs faster or slower depending on how you want em to look.

if you are on a mac, you can screen record by pressing Command+Shift+5 (it’s a shortcut to quicktime screen recording). I only screen record for things like the beyond live concert or other live streamed events. the image quality of the screen recording, in my experience, is actually pretty good. when you gif the screen recording however, you may notice that it adds extra frames that you don’t need. by that i mean duplicate frames. you could keep the duplicate frames but that just means the size of your gif is going to be much bigger (keep in mind the limit is 8mb). in order to remove those duplicates, my only solution has been to remove them manually (by holding Command while selecting), or when you are importing the video to frames, select the option to “limit to every 2 frames”—but this method will be less precise and still not as good as manually removing frames. if you remove the duplicate frames, this means you will need to set the frame delay even slower, to make up for lost frames. in my experience, fps(frames per second) and frame delay work in conjunction. so for example, if i delete every other frame because they are duplicates,  but the starting frame delay is 0.02, i am now going to change it to something like 0.05 (so i added 0.03 seconds rather than my usual 0.02). if the duration length and the image dimensions of the gif are short/small, feel free to keep the duplicate frames in—i only delete duplicate frames in order to keep my gif under the 8mb limit. then, if you keep the duplicate frames in, continue with your standard frame delay preferences.  now that i’m writing this im realizing this might not make a lot of sense lol.. but don’t worry about it for now and if you run into trouble w screen recorded gifs then you can come back to this for reference. again, this is only my experience recording on a mac—it may be a lot different if you use a screen recording program or are on a pc.

i don’t really use .psd templates because i like to give every gif/gifset it’s own unique coloring—so i remake the coloring every time, but if you get into a rhythm it’s pretty easy. there are a lot of nice coloring tutorials out there, too! my personal coloring adjustments in order: levels, exposure, color balance, selective color (if needed), vibrance, photo filter (if needed), color lookup (i use 2strip most often and i put it on ‘color’ blending mode). don’t forget to adjust the opacities and fills of the ‘color lookup’ adjustment layer in case it’s too strong. go back to correct each adjustment layer as needed. then, when you’re done and satisfied, group all those layers, copy the group (you can do an easy command+c), and paste it onto the next gif you’re working on for easy workflow.

if for some reason you can’t see the frames when you import your layers/video, it’s likely because your ‘timeline’ window isn’t showing up. just go to the window menu on photoshop, go to the bottom and you’ll see ‘timeline.’ make sure it has a check next to it.

i recommend watermarking your gifs because a lot of people like to repost tings these days 😠 - so make sure u got your brand on it! i keep my watermark saved to my ‘libraries’ in photoshop so it’s ready when i need it. i use the blending mode ‘overlay’ and adjust the opacity, but if you don’t want to do that you can also add a stroke/shadow to your watermark/do all sorts.

keep in mind that giffing takes a lot of patience, energy, and experience—so don’t worry if it takes you a bit to figure things out or if your gifs don’t turn out the way you want them to the first time around. we all start at the same place and all run into problems. i know giffing can sound intimidating and seem like a lot of work, but i promise, once you get into a routine, giffing is going to happen in minutes—and you’ll get beautiful gifs. have fun! 😊

so the game was very fun~ i very much love the pokemon series and i finally got to play it after everyone’s moved on lmao

first things off the story isn’t great but that’s fine. i want to nut on rose’s soft tummy but like... c’mon elon musk delusion lmao. they really should’ve built it ip bc it felt like i saw him like 5 times during the whole game lmao. love oleana as well, she’s generally just very pretty and has the best expressions in game

i do want to kick in hop’s teeth tho. i don’t hate him but hau > hop by a goddamn mile, hop like a lot of rivals is just sooooo annoying. like i’m sure you’ll defs become the champion even though i’ve beaten you every single time we fight and never had a pokemon faint on my side... bitch

also i was neutral on leon and though he was semi-hot but then he came in with the fucking charizard with rock and grass type moves and maybe i hate him now... fucking bullshit i swear to god lmao. still mad that he one shot my dynamaxed drednaw

gym leaders are all stellar and have such great personality (even if most of them don’t feature very heavily in the story... sad).

milo is my husband... nessa is normani and just 100% That Bitch, kabu is kind of a foxy grandpa, bea is weirdly snatched but cool (and also gave me a lot of trouble ugh), opal is a trickster fairy and i love that (also the whole bede pink thing was hilarious, bede is a lil bitch tho), gordie is thicc and kinda not stylish and he’d be a top husband if he didn’t have ugly hair, piers is cool and total tumblr bait and raihan is sooo fucking tall what the fuck. i like his lil chompers and outfit, otherwise he was a pain in the dick and i’m glad i beat his ass

visuals wise the game looks amazing although some areas suck. that winter water-y place looks gross and a lot of environments are just waaaay too small. also there aren’t many stores around the place which is sad, it’s defs a rushed thing. i mean you have a restaurant and they don’t even sell pokemon food? ok then

the fashion in this game is good. i’m just happy to see more and more customisation options and the clothing style in-game is really good (sometimes when it matches my aesthetic lol). some things are waaaaay too expensive tho

the pokemon designs are also really awesome although there are some duds... rillaboom is extremely handsome and i love him and he’s my gentle and kind bara boyfriend (an anthro furry version tho lol) but the other evolutions for all the starters are not great lmao. the final versions are fine but fire bunny is boring and spy lizard is a lil weird (rillaboom gang rise up)

love toxtricity, i love toxel as well. i was gonna get one for my team but i wanted the high voltage version as a dude and i couldn’t get there without running out of patience. i just got snorlax instead and honestly he ended up carrying my team through a lot of things lol

also i wasn’t 100% sure on obstagoon as my aesthetic isn’t really punk rock-y but i like him! it was a big struggle with evolution bc i didn’t really love the first 2 stages but the final is cute. i was gonna replace him with toxtricity but you know how that went lol. he came in clutch tho, the friendship bar prevented him from fainting and then the counter would just instantly knock out the opponent... he’s a crazy bitch and i love him even if he wasn’t the most useful later on lmao

drednaw is also another pokemon i didn’t plan on getting but the type combination was super useful throughout the game... i woudn’t have be able to do a lot of things without her lol. thank u queen...

it’s funny though, i came into the game seeing all the bara versions of these guys as was so dedicated to getting dude versions but then i couldn’t find any dudes... weird. i still like the fact that the team is half female/male tho lol

and just a random joke but i can’t believe that half my team is naive... these bitches kinda dumb! they’re just relaxed and chill in general aside from  drednaw lol

mechanics wise i think dynamaxing is kinda dumb. the first time i did it i was like holy shit and then it became kinda op... not the most fun addition to the series but at least we don’t have to see it ever again lmao. i do think that the animations are great tho but i still hate the fact that only certain pokemon get a special dynamax form... the clownery

the wild area is really cool and i love that i could catch my boy snorlax but seeing the same pokemon over and over again in the grass and the time it takes to actually be able to catch high level pokemon kinda annoyed me. the size of it is great tho. the raid battles are cool as well but tehy’re often very easy. i didn’t play online at all so maybe that’s it but the difficulty is meh

i like pokemon camp a lot but it’s not great. it feels very unfinished and i didn’t want to put in the effort of mashing a for a minute to entertain my pokemon but i’m also one of those people who cares A Lot about my team so i spent a lot of time there as well lol

i want to get the dlc but tbh i don’t think it’ll be that interesting for me? when i finish a pokemon game that experience is dead for me so i don’t think i’ll get it unless it’s super cheap

it’s a pity that the short development time lead to a great but underwhleming game, there’s a lot of love that’s gone into the game and the new mechanics and ideas are fantastic but they’re just not deep enough... pokemon sun/moon remains superior i suppose

Optimus Prime

-It was a normal problem that you had- you were a restless kind of person, and being on a military base that is always on high alert never really helped. It was hard for you to fall asleep at times, it has always been that way ever since you were a kid as insomnia apparently runs in your family. Sleeping medication never really helped either, and that was one of the reasons you got a car with the most comfortable seats you could- if there was one thing that always worked, it was a nice long car ride in the middle of an empty space with nothing but wide open space around you.

-Before you could make it to your car parked in an enclosed garage, you ran into the big boss bot- Optimus Prime. It was still a little overwhelming being in the presence of such a great and powerful leader, he was probably the nicest alien in the world, but he was so much bigger than you it is sometimes intimidating. Well, most people were taller than you, but that was beside the point- as most people will never reach the radiance and grace that this big bot gives off with such ease. He really was a sight to be beheld, and you were one of the lucky humans that was allowed to interact with him on more than a weekly basis, most people only get to experience him on television- and those broadcasts do him no justice at all.

-Once you addressed each other with a simple greeting, he asked the obvious question that was on his mind when he noticed you walking around in the middle of the night. Once you explained you inability to sleep and your simple solution, he made you an offer you would have never dreamed of receiving- he offered to take you for a ride in his alt-mode. How could you refuse? The two of you were out driving in the middle of the abandoned area outside of the base, enjoying some light conversations when Optimus took notice you began to doze off in the passenger side of his cab. Once he drove back you were out cold, he assumed it must come with not getting enough sleep- he didn’t have the spark to wake you up, s he just let you sleep there until you would be ready to awaken in the next few hours when roll call would happen.

Bumblebee

-You had such a long day working around all of these soldiers and politicians, you were hoping that your room that was a little far away from the soldier barracks would be your sanctuary. There your bed was supposed to be an escape from your busy everyday life , but right now it was starting to feel more and more like a hard rock prison you couldn’t escape. You can lay there all night, wide awake yet  extremely tired, but your body and mind just can’t seem to stop racing from all the information you were supposed to retain and memorize. Sometimes you hated your job, as important as it was, you just wished you could take some kind of vacation- go somewhere and just sleep.

-After a few hours of just staring at a wall, you began to grow a little restless and wanted to do something that might help tire you out physically more. Maybe you can go to the gym on the base? No way, those people never wipe down the equipment when they are done. You could go for a walk? In the middle of podunk nowhere with nothing to look at and potentially getting lost… Driving? That could work- driving was a great way to zone out while making great miles, you also couldn’t really get lost driving- just follow a road you’ll end up somewhere. That was almost a romantic thought to you, just hop in your car and drive until you end up in a whole ‘nother life- to bad that would never happen.

-You were so zoned out that you ran body first into an obstacle that just appeared in front of you on the way to your car, you heard a little dink as you hit something metal rather hard, and you let out a groan in pain. You hear a radio voice saying “Oops!”, and you knew immediately it was that bot Bumblebee- not paying attention to where he was walking. To be fair, neither were you, it could have ended badly for the both of you. Exchanging greetings, you can’t recall what happened after that, because in a sleepy haze you must have agreed to go for a ride with Bee- not that that was a bad thing or anything. It’s just an odd thing; one minute you were standing on base talking to the bot, and the next you were in his cab taking a ride down the road to somewhere different. He didn’t mind that you fell asleep halfway towards “somewhere else” he was just excited for you to wake up and be in a different place, you described it as romantic? He could relate to that.

Ironhide

-It was something the two of you do as a way to escape from the others in the base, it’s not that you hated being around those people, it’s just tiring seeing the same people 24 hours 7 days a week. It felt like every week the world was ending and they all had to come together as a team to take out some kind of bad guy. It was exhausting and you both, frankly, needed a break. Ironhide felt the same way about it, he was a loyal Autobot soldier through and through, but he was far from the regality of a prime- he had his own mental limitations, and he was glad the two of you were able to get away every once in awhile to just drive and forget about all the bad shit that was happening.

-The soldiers now stopped trying to make you two stay on base on these days, because with or without their permission you were gone quicker than they were able to track you down. You two always came back within the next 24 hours or so, meaning Optimus didn’t care too much that Ironhide needed time to himself to rejuvenate and relax his mind-the same can’t be said about your superiors, each one of them hates it when you sneak off to do something they don’t know about. You are justified though, because you have never once missed one of their deadlines or sherked nay kind of task they have given you. They can be mad all they wanted, you and ‘Hide, you needed this.

-The old soldier thought that it was nice, when you fell asleep in the passenger seat of his cab- even though you slept like a rock and sounded like a fog horn when you snored. You placed so much trust in his old frame that he felt proud that he still had enough gentleness in his spark to have a friend like you. Most see him as some kind crazy monster, and really he was, but he wasn’t like that 24/7- and he was glad to share those softer moments with you, even if he would threaten your life if you so much as breathed a word about it to anyone, especially if you said anything to Lennox.

Ratchet

-You were a little bit more meek and softer than some of the other specialized talent that the humans kept on the base, something the others liked to refer to as “an easy target”- a theoretical punching bag if one prefered. It’s not like you didn’t have any friends or anything, people seemed to like you very much so, it’s just you had a preference to keep silent and laugh along rather than correct people about their misconceptions pertaining to you or your personality.You didn’t seem to mind what the others liked to tease about, and you would tease them right back but Ratchet go tthe feeling those werent as personal as some of the things said to you- it was just no enigma as to why you preferred the company of a  bunch of alien robot life from outer space than that of your own species.

-You enjoyed everyone’s company a lot, but sometimes even you would get overwhelmed at everyone’s friendly quips and jokes at your expense. You had patiences it was true, but in reality, everyone had a breaking point- even the most softest and kindest of us all. Ratchet could relate- he became a medic in order to help his fellow bots and to be a positive influence on those who had it worse than he did, it was probably why you two were so close and could relate to each other so well. It was nice having a friend who was so similar in nature- and it helped the others around the base become more comfortable with the alien presences as well, as sometimes new soldiers and workers get a little jumpy when coming face to face with the towering machines for the very first time. You almost had a heart attack meeting Optimus Prime for the first time- he was so much bigger than all the others it was kind of intimidating, looking back on that day you can laugh about it now.

-You and Ratch were on your way back from a simple supply run, which for some reason had to happen so late in the night that if not for his headlights you wouldn’t be able to see the road in front of you. It gave you a chance to have a break from the others around the base, and it gave Ratchet a chance to safely stretch his struts without worrying about getting ambushed by Decepticons, he would avoid physical conflict if he could. He took note of your relaxed vitals and your lax body language- and let you snooze soundly while he drove back to the base, he was glad you were a hard sleeper as these back roads weren’t the best thing to drive on for relaxing. Evolutionarily, sleeping heavily isn’t the best strategic ability for survival, but as long as he was around he was sure you wouldn’t have anything to worry about. 

Jazz

-You just seemed to be able to get along with anyone- including those from an entirely different planet that had a big difference in culture and identity. It’s what you do best- which is why you were most likely picked for this kind of job, your ability to bend and compromise when a situation got tough, which isn’t a skill many can boast about having. It’s probably why Jazz and you got along so well, you were both laid back individuals who were able to roll with the punches and maintain a clear and level head when it comes to what is expected of you and what you will do in order to complete a mission. Also Jazz was more willing to participate in human cultural events and knowledge a little bit more than the rest of his team, he found humans and their creativity to be just as exciting as you found them and their ability to transform into automobiles and aircrafts.

-It was always fun to have an outing with the bots, especially ones where you get to show them what other humans beyond those who live on the base behave like. It was nice to just sit in Jazz’s cab while he would ask certain questions about people as they would walk by, while you answered to the best of your ability whole always reminding him that humans come in so many variations it’s hard to categorize them into neat little labels. People watching had always been a fun thing for you to do- and sharing such a small and pivotal part of human nature it was interesting to see their reactions. All the other bots thought it was rather “stupid” to put it mildly, they didn’t get just sitting and watching normal people do mundane things, but Jazz got it- it was a way to reconnect with the normal everyday people that they were fighting so hard to protect.

-Once everyone went back to the base, it was just you and Jazz for a very long time- ad he didn’t notice your light snoring until long after the humans had vacated the area for the night and the streets were empty and quiet. He noticed how comfortable and serene you looked- and decided against trying to wake you up, he knows how much work you have to do to try and broker peace between all the battling red tape and politicians and decided this might be a good way for you to actually sleep. He was convinced in that moment that if any human can unite them, it was going to be you- and he felt proud that he knew someone so strong yet unspoiled by cynical and bitter ideology.
