Qatar Airways Company Q.C.S.C., operating as Qatar Airways, is the state-owned flag carrier airline of Qatar. Headquartered in the Qatar Airways Tower in Doha, the airline operates a hub-and-spoke network, flying to over 150 international destinations across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania from its base at Hamad International Airport, using a fleet of more than 200 aircraft. EasyJet Airbus A319 is intercepted by Spanish Air Force fighters

An Airbus A319 aircraft of the European company easyJet was intercepted by F-18 Hornet fighters of the Spanish Air Force after threat.

The aircraft carrying out flight U28303 had departed in the early afternoon of June 3, from London Gatwick Airport, and was heading to the island of Menorca when the emergency protocol was activated.

A threat was received, apparently on a social network.

When the Airbus A319 (prefix G-EZAO) entered Spanish airspace, the two F-18 fighters intercepted the aircraft.

The plane landed stationed in a delimited area of Menorca Airport so that the Civil Guard could check all passengers' luggage, as well as the cabin and hold of the aircraft.

The airline released a note: "easyJet confirms that flight EZY8303 from London Gatwick to Menorca was escorted by military aircraft when landing in Menorca and delayed landing due to preventive safety checks. Passengers have disembarked since then. We would like to thank the passengers for their understanding."

The aircraft stopped for almost four hours on the runway. No bombs were found and flight operations were resumed at Menorca airport.

Porsche wins the 1821km of Qatar!

The season opener of the WEC was an amazing race! At the start, Ferrari, started from P3, got the first place, while the Toyota from P2 fell back to P6. The race was very interesting in the first three hours, with a group at the front of the field, changing positions and fighting hard. It consisted of Porsche, Ferrari, Peugeot and Jota. Toyota had no chance during the race, which was the first (negative) surprise of the season.

A weird incident happened a few minutes before the end of the race, when the leading Porsche #6 had to pit again, because he lost it's number on the left side of the car and the team hat to put a new one on it. But they had enough room, so they kept the lead and won the race.

Another incident, that was much more dramatic, happened in the second to last lap, when the Peugeot, that was in second place, got slow after the first corner and almost copied the Toyota drama from Le Mans, some years ago. So in the end Porsche won with three cars in front.
