James Roday Rodriguez in Psych (2006) Woman Seeking Dead Husband: Smokers Okay, No Pets
S1E4
Shawn eagerly poses as medium to get the case of two recently released bank robbers, believed to want the loot by threatening David Morrison Wilcroft's widow Raylene. Shawn finds David alive, digging for years, while the rest of the gang isn't as appeared either. Yet Shawn even goes for the long-lost gold.
*In the scene where Shawn wakes up Gus, Gus has a picture of his younger self on his night stand. Shawn is wearing the exact same clothes as Gus in the picture, and even matches the pose exactly when he wakes Gus.

Psych 1X04: Woman Seeking Dead Husband, Smokers Okay, No Pets (Guide)
(00:00) The title alone is a play on a personal ad one could put in the newspaper.
(01:16)
SHAWN: Checking baseball scores. My fantasy team is killing me.
-Shawn is referring to the popular hobby of fantasy sports teams.
(02:13)
McNAB: Hey, Shawn. Smoothies are here. (hands a cup to SHAWN) SHAWN: Pineapple? McNAB: Of course.
PINEAPPLE SIGHTING!
(05:05)
SHAWN: I solved the McCallum disappearance.
-He is referring to the events of the first episode of Psych, 1X01, Pilot.
(05:58)
RAYLENE: Well, I always say, “a man with many hats… ” GUS: “Doesn’t like his haircut”? RAYLENE: Exactly. I thought I was the only one who read that book.
-Raylene and Gus are quoting the Jane Austen book, Lady Susan.
(07:20)
GUS: You’re taking my name off the lease, and the door, and these Frisbees. (picks up a neon-pink Frisbee bearing the logo)
-A Frisbee is a brand of a Flying Disc from the Wham-O company.
(09:48)
SHAWN: We simply trace his last steps, do a little research, ask a few questions, and bingo!
GUS: Stop saying “bingo”. You know how I hate that. SHAWN: Okay, fine. Yahtzee. GUS: We’re not doing it, Shawn. (heads back inside) SHAWN: Mahjong! Gus!
-Shawn mentions a few classic tabletop games here. I’m not exactly sure how to explain Bingo. Yahtzee is a game of chance. Mahjong is a tile-based game.
(10:34)
JULIET: Just so you know, I am uncomfortable with intra-office romance. LASSITER: I wasn’t considering it… and I’m completely uncomfortable with the implication. JULIET: So it wasn’t true, the rumor about you and your last partner?
-Juliet is referring to the secret romance between Lassiter and Lucinda in Psych 1X01, Pilot.
(20:13)
SHAWN: Okay, what is this thing you have with women in jeopardy? They have a name for this, you know. It’s called the Stockholm syndrome. GUS: No, it’s not. SHAWN: Florence Nightingale’s disease?
-Stockholm Syndrome is a “disorder” where one falls in love with their captor. The Florence Nightingale Effect is where the caregiver might fall in love with their patient.
(20:40)
SHAWN: Don’t say Meredith Baxter Birney. GUS: It’s not M.B.B. SHAWN: This is unhealthy. GUS: Okay, you were in love with her, too. SHAWN: I loved her because she was Mrs. Keaton and she gave birth to A.P.K.
-Meredith Baxter Birney (now Meredith Baxter) is an American actress and producer. Her most famous role is in Family Ties, which Shawn is referencing in the last line. A.P.K. is Alex P. Keaton, played by Michael J. Fox.
(20:50) Gus reveals that he had an infatuation with his babysitter, at which point “Stacy’s Mom,” by Fountains of Wayne, is playing in the background.
(21:29) The Supersmeller Returns!
(21:39)
SHAWN: Jeans and socks and underwear and a Bounce sheet.
-Bounce is a brand of fabric softener.
(24:12)
SHAWN: “A man with many hats doesn’t like his haircut”? What? What book is that from?
GUS: She’s a charming woman. SHAWN: “A charming woman”? Oh, you’re Jane Austen now?
-Jane Austen is a renowned author who has written many popular novels.
(27:31)
SHAWN: First, we dress up as musketeers and make a very special pact. (puts his hand out in front, palm down, waiting for the other to put their hands on his)
-The Musketeers were a fighting company of the military branch of the Maison du Roi, the Royal Household of the French monarchy.
(34:33)
SHAWN: Gus, you’re attracted to dangerous women, man. It happens. Joan Jett, for example. Penny Marshall. Grace Jones. Or the woman who played Pinky Tuscadero.
-I am not going to go into too much detail here. These women are known to be bold in what they do. Joan Jett is a singer. Penny Marshall is an actress. Grace Jones is a supermodel.  Roz Kelly is an actress who is most famous for her role on Happy Days as Pinky Tuscadero.
(34:56)
SHAWN: Lizzie Borden. Kathy Bates.
-Shawn is continuing with his references to dangerous women. Lizzie Borden was a woman most known as the main suspect in the axe murders of her father and stepmother. Kathy Bates is an American actress and director. She achieved fame with her portrayal of Annie Wilkes in the 1990 film, Misery.
(40:02)
SHAWN: Well, there’s that…(opens the back to reveal shovels – and takeout) and…(takes out shovels) and we’re going to find the dread pirate Wilcroft’s dirty booty.
Dread Pirate Roberts is a fictional character in the novel and movie of The Princess Bride.
