every time i see a guy audio coming out, i always see a lot of people complaining about how his character lacks depth or that they want angst- lemme just defend guy for a second.

HE STARTED OFF AS A JOKE CHARACTER. both him and ollie are surface-level and buffer/filler characters to give us some fluff/a break from all the lore and stressful shit. AND THAT'S OKAY!! THAT'S LITERALLY WHAT HE'S FOR. it doesn't make him a bad/lazy character, IT'S HIS JOB TO GIVE US A LIL GIGGLE AND PUT US AT EASE. it also doesn't make erik a bad writer, we know what he's capable of !!! he's a very talented guy and also a busy man and sometimes it's easier (for him) and nicer (for both parties) to have a chill, slice-of-life audio where nothing is going wrong and it's all silly vibes.

i will admit, i would love some angst or an audio where honey isn't doing so great and guy takes care of them since we've had the opposite already. but also, if we never get that, that's totally cool !! it's erik's channel, and this is his HOBBY, for god's sake. give the man a break and let him make some lofi, chill content every now and then. and also- let him have some characters that are just silly and light-hearted !! not all of them have to be super fleshed-out with extensive, angsty backstories.
