I love Carol and the end of the world, just for the fact that it's protagonist reminds that it's okay to be me. It's fine not having to define your happiness on grand gestures, and extravagant spending. Going to the movie alone at times, just relaxing in the food court with a meal and a video, simply talking to your friends for hours can be just as a great time.

But also someone that struggles with connecting to others, overwhelmed by the need of everyone around them to constantly prove themselves and feel special, that even bringing a little attention to yourself feels terrifying.

I just watched "Sisters," and it just reminded me how much people can insult you in the name of a 'good deed'. That although their intentions can be kind, their actions can be hurtful, expecting you to do things the way they want to.

Hehehe first post go brrrr Hey y'all! I've been browsing the site again for the past few months and I finally got the urge to start up a blog again! This will mainly be for Spyro and Skylanders stuff because they are my perpetual hyperfixation and I love talking about my favorite dorks, though I'll still prolly post non-Spyro stuff from time to time as well.

I also write fanfics, and I'm currently planning some stories for both TLoS and Skylanders. I'll definitely share stuff from those projects, especially since I have loads of Skylander HCs and I love talking about characters! I still don't fully remember how some parts of this site work but I'll figure it out lol

Donatello's Inspirations

So, I’ve noticed that Donatello has a habit of being inspired by what he sees and adopting those aspects into himself.

This system of integration is most prevalent when it comes to the people he loves or admires.

Take one of his favorite stims, for instance.  

You don’t have to look too far to find that phrase's source.

He admires and loves his Papa, thus one of his dad’s favorite sayings is one of his favorites as well.

This aspect of incorporation also extends to his beloved heroes.

One of my favorite examples are his signature eyebrows.

He didn’t have them, then he did. We know that he started drawing them on nine years ago (with a sharpie, lol) but I wonder where he got the idea for the eyebrows in the first place…

Before he knew that Lou Jitsu was his father, Donnie had already incorporated the man’s eyebrows into his mask. Therefore, one can argue that the adoption of Lou’s well-coiffed brows was not due to a simple familial bond. Instead, Donnie just wanted to be more like his hero, Lou Jitsu (and thought the brows were cool, lol.)

However, that’s not the only hero Donatello took inspiration from.
