modelsof-color is a great resource, and I also recommend Botswana based fashion photographer @/rorisang-lu who has some great unique styles and a variety of Black models on their blog, which is criminally small imo for how nice their works are. @/nyc-looks isn’t focused on Black models only, but as a street fashion blog they have some interesting and varied looks and people on there. Houston based couture house @/houseofenid also features a lot of Black models

Ayanda Chiberengwane is a (22) year old high fashion model who does editorial and runway modeling, currently signed with DXC model management in Nigeria.

Emerging from the wilderness of adolescence she found expression in fashion,a gene passed down from her mother who she refers to as her style icon. Fashion has always been a part of her life ,hence it was an easy decision to venture into modeling.

It all began when she was 9years old,she joined a fashion show in school that ignited the passion for modeling. As a child fashion channels and fashion magazines were a source of inspiration,as she would time and again find herself glaring at the screen in awe of how fashion models would strut on the runway.

She shares how her mother used to use her as a manikin doll to measure the fit for her clients,she enjoyed that part so much that she would strike different poses in the mirror.

Having worked with designers like Mc ancient of fashion,Rorisang Lu ,Token Jupiter and a multi national agency which represents her on the global arena,she has also participated in the 2021 edition of the fashion without boarders fashion show.
