I don't know if we will see Piama's parents this season, but it seems they weren't very good parents.

Although for a moment I thought they were traveling to find a cure for Piama.

As I thought, there are things from the past that will come for the couple and it seems that the family theme will be the main one

I suppose Piama will build her own family on her own, a family in which to trust and feel safe. A family where she don't have to pretend and act.

Reigning Passions - Piama - My Thoughts and Reactions Season One Episodes 4-6

Sorry this is a day late (again), but there was so much going on, I had to take a bit to process it all and ya know, that five screenshot rule.

This line touched such a nerve for me. Gregory has been spreading false rumors about Piama and her family. People think because it's just words, it doesn't hurt. But it does. Words can, and often do, hurt so much more than physical acts. And the effects linger far longer than bruises do. Emotional abuse is real, and I hate that Piama has to suffer through any of this.

I adore Piama and Lyris's friendship - I know it is not always the focus in all the routes in favor of that other alluring cloaked character, but if you read Lyris and Sevastian's routes, you will see this friendship shine. One of the things I was most looking forward to in this route was a focus on this particular friendship, and so far, they have not disappointed. I love that as soon as there is an "emergency" (the emergency being that they are invited to a party and MC needs to learn proper etiquette 🤣), Piama runs straight to Lyris. This was a beautiful scene, spending time with Lyris, whom I have missed since his route ended. Piama softens around her friend and also bickers with him frequently. MC realizes that maybe Piama's bickering is not so bad. She also sees a softer side to Piama that Lyris brings out.

Poor Piama 🥺 She is beginning to open up to MC, explaining why she can come off as such a brat - it's her defense mechanism. The writing here is beautifully sad, I cannot begin to imagine the anguish Piama and her family have been put through. I think when we learn the whole story, it will be heartbreaking.

Ugh....this scene 🥺 Gregory struck again somehow, and MC's dress is ruined. Instead of snapping at MC for foolishly ruining her dress, Piama soothes MC, telling her everything is OK. MC is the priority 🥺 Piama immediately understands the shame and embarrassment MC must be feeling, and comforts her. She does everything in her power to comfort her wife, even offering to feign a headache so they can miss the party and stay home together (and if you know how much Piama loves parties, this is huge!).

If you have been following my friend @silverteresa, then you might have seen her theory that Piama is "half-Spring, half-Winter". As soon as I saw this vile woman, I immediately thought that she knows something about Piama (perhaps her possible Winter roots) and is there to cause trouble for them. Well, she did cause trouble, and led to a rather, um, interesting heart scene (if you have not bought it, I highly recommend you do. It is so worth all the hearts). I would so love to see Piama give this witch a piece of her mind - and Piama fans, I think if anyone can talk back to Hortensia, it's Piama. So I wouldn't mind a showdown between these two in the future.

The episode ends with more of Gregory's hurtful pamphlets being distributed. So far, he's a good antagonist, in that I hate his guts and want him to just go away, far, far away. I can't believe we are already halfway through, it has been amazing so far!
