are the iterators based off of specific gods/goddesses? are they their own gods?

Wawa! Yes I am!

For the most part, no the iterators are not inspired by any specific gods or deities in the real world, I do find a lot of those mythologies pretty cool and interesting, but none were a direct inspiration tbh. So for the most part, yes! The iterators are their own gods

I think I’ve got most of the “godly designations” down, so let’s start w/ those: Srs represents the sun(duh), as well as fire and also birds to a certain extent, although that last responsibility mainly goes to

Wind controls the weather, wind and birds, making them pretty much the polar opposite of

Pebbles is the god of the earth, and stones(quite fitting to his name tbh what did you expect) LttM is ofc goddess of the moon, as well as water(ironic ik)

Siggy is the god of plants and gardens and things, although here they’re also a sort of winter/ice god, and idea heavily inspired by @weepinglilvessel’s Eclipse au(srry for the tag)

Lastly, UI is the god of charms/magic. Sort of a spells deal idk it’s kinda hard to explain? (Alr look in this au Ino is basically a combination of Twilight Sparkle and Regina George idk what to tell you man)

NSH gets a redesign!

They’re still very heavily related to plants, just with a cooler theme and colour palette now. (Btw, this new design is heavily inspired by @weepinglilvessel and their eclipse au, it’s awesome)

So yeah, Sig is much more seasonal/winter themed now, and I actually came up with some fun little lore nuggets abt how this affects their can and surrounding areas!

Details below the cut :D

Basically, Sig’s can is naturally cooler bc of them being a winter god, meaning they don’t need as much coolant from outside water sources. This means they rain less and allow a more diverse botanical ecosystem within their walls(as well as a semi-functional seasonal cycle), perfectly tying in with them being a plant god! (Also ik I mentioned in the image that SRS is in a much colder climate, I’m planning on making a sort-of map eventually I swear :,D)

I used to be so-so on evil/antagonistic Suns, but recently @ressioo and @weepinglilvessel have changed my mind a lil 👀

(RM Suns is actually quite nice and they want the best for their group but don’t get me wrong they can get fuckin terrifying if necessary)

Redesigning RM Suns, more specifically their wings refs coming eventually I swear

I tried to make it look like the orange on the back of their wings were like lil embers or smth but colours were not on my side today :,)

I also JUST realized I forgot the lil orange tipped feathers on the back for parts of it but I’m too lazy to go and change so imma just stick w/ this for now.

Also their eye/pupil colour is officially gonna be a sorta yellowish orange for now btw

Ahhhh ok I’ve been away for the past few days w/ out my tablet and also school just started today :,,,,) Uhh anyways HERE’S GREY WIND! This took so much longer than necessary :,)

At this point I’ve seen multiple ppl associate CW with birds or vultures,but the vulture tusk headpieces didn’t feel right to me, so instead they get normal antennae and a bunch or bird buddies :D

Not very happy w/ the BG on this one tbh but I had to get smth out. Ino should be next in a few days :)

Robotic Mythology Moon!

(Oh and her cloak was made by Sig, hence the purple collar and green seams)

Also brief story/lore dump:

The general order for the group getting off the string and discovering what they were able to do goes by SRS, CW, NSH, and then LttM and FP (and then UI but that’s later).

My current idea is that Sig would be the first to find out about Suns freeing themselves, and so while Suns flies(yes flies) to Winds can, Sig busies himself w/ final preparations to leave for a while in addition to making Moon a new, ocean blue cloak. Btw I’m very aware I haven’t fully mentioned exactly what the iterators are in this au, but for now I’ll just say they were originally built much more powerful than the Ancients ever allowed them to be in present day.
