Reasons I like RID2015 #565:

OKAY LET ME GO OFF. I'VE MADE A POST ABOUT THIS BEFORE BUT I'D LOVE A CHANCE TO DO IT AGAIN.

So Blastwave here hasn't said a word, only grunting or grumbling. As Sideswipe puts it;

"I don't speak brute."

That's the thing. This AUTOBOT, yes, AUTOBOT;

CAN'T speak. When Blastwave gets trapped, he starts doing this;

And as Bumblebee clarifies,

"He's using Cybertronian sign language. His voice box must've been torn up."

"Like mine."

And this. Was SO good. Oh my god, my first watch through, I was so goddamn shook. This is genuinely, sincerely, SUCH a good episode, purely for Blastwave's EXISTENCE. The fact that Bumblebee gets a nod to his tfp self in a way thats SO simple and SO clever, is honestly so fucking perfect. This episode is such a hidden gem.

Now, if you guys, for some reason, don't like the ASL using autobot part of the episode, i got something else for you to enjoy. As you've noticed, I've been talking mad shit about Nightra. Allow me to exllain why.

Nightra and Strongarm go way back to their academy days. What ENDED their solid relationship (Strongarm actually goes into a lot of detail about how much Nightra meant to her, and how she pushed her to do better) was that Nightra was caught with essentially a cheat sheet for a very important academy test. Nightra wanted Strongarm to say SHE was the one who owned it, not her.

She was even brought before a council. Suffice to say,

Nightra didn't get what she wanted, and was kicked out. Fast forward to now. Nightra is on earth,

And is now a bounty hunter, "Thanks to Strongarm". She's not there just to catch up,

But is also there to have Strongarm and her team help her with a particularly dangerous criminal, Blastwave. The twist?

BITCH IS A THIEF, BLASTWAVE IS THE BOUNTY HUNTER, SHE STOLE HIS BADGE AND IMPERSONATED HER, AND WENT TO EARTH TO FUCK EVERYONE OVER. SHE'S THE BITCH WHO BULLIED YOU IN HIGHSCHOOL AND IS NOW CALLING YOU FAT TO SELL YOU HER SLIMWRAPS. AND WHAT FUCKS ME UP

IS THAT STRONGARM WAS SERIOUSLY DEFENDING HER THIS ENTIRE TIME. STRONGARM IS RIDE OR DIE, BUT NOT FOR BITCHES WHO DON'T DESERVE HER.

THIS is an episode.

THIS is a twist.

THIS is a character arc.

THIS is a cool bad guy.

THIS is what RID should focus on. THIS.
