At some point, a person has to ask themselves, who should I believe? The smooth-talking douche in designer denim who passes off warmed-over leftovers as his own creation, or their own common sense? The lazy use of stock photos is particularly laughable in the most recent “Intellivision Amico” video.

the idea of this hellsite trying to make itself profitable through ~premium~ pages is so laughable. since when has anything involving tumblr users asking for money for their content ever ended well.

how is buttigieg's "medical for all who want it" policy different from how health insurance is being run today? sure, he wants to give people the option of public insurance, but allowing privatized insurance companies to still be running directly harms people, especially those who are uneducated on the topic. it seems like medicare lite tm, as do his environmental policies in comparison to the green new deal. don't get me wrong, bernie's policies aren't flawless, but imo +
Anon Asked: +
buttigieg’s policies leave little to be desired, with concepts that aren’t refreshing or innovative, but rather seem like he’s trying to “deviate” from the norm, in this example the norm being bernie’s policies. i also read that he’s lost an immense number of black voters fairly recently. he just comes off as disingenuous. i wish i could like him, i mean i’m gay & having a gay prez would be great, but that doesn’t excuse his blandness. also, he’s blatantly lied about taking corporate donations
also i forgot to add but i totally understand supporting buttigieg, he seems like a decent guy overall, i just would like to seem something more refreshing or original from him regarding his policies. i think bernie has been really innovative and sometimes i get skeptical when democractic politicians come out with policy proposals that are so incredibly similar to bernie’s with *marginal* differences, you know? but bernie definitely isn’t immune to criticism, either
I disagree with your statement on policies specifically because another key problem I have with Bernie is that his policies read like a youtube thumbnail - which is to say they look good on the surface but don’t correctly incentivize priorities and effect the targeted populations in the ways they plan to.
On medicare for all (and bear with me we’re about to get a lil into health econ):
in current market conditions, the largest problem in USA Healthcare cost (HC) is the principal of adverse selection. Adverse selection pretty much goes like this: a healthy person feels no need to buy healthcare because they are; a sick person will buy healthcare when they are, well…sick. Sick people drive up the cost the and then the healthy people aren’t in the market to help bear the burden of the cost, which is why we end up with huggggeeeeee medical bills.
Pete’s Public-option helps get around these costs because the government can eliminate intermediary costs (which are like 2Billion (i think I havent checked the #s in a while), and it allows those who like their plan to avoid the taxable income issue (if an employer includes insurance benefit as part of a work-hire-package, the cost of that insurance plan isn’t taxed by the government. if they mandate a new Bernie plan, some of the income might be saved in net, but the rest is now taxable, and this tax once added to the additional necessary tax increase to impliment is the problem. Plus it creates tax bracket movements which can substantially increase tax rates compared to before. I know this sounds I’m by no means a teacher, so it’s a lil hard to explain but might be making some videos on it for our econ department and if they get posted I’ll share the link if you’re interested.
On black voters:
An anon pointed out that some of the claims in this part were just...based in ignorance and actually I agree. I’m going to look into this more & update my knowledge on the subject.
On the Green New Deal: strong disagree, the green new deal is SO inefficient, too vague in definition, and lays out a set of goals but with no clearly written, step-by-step plan to get there. The entire ‘how to’ is missing. It’s not cost effective. It’s not issue-specific so much as a re-structrue of the government which is just…..not feasible? A theory is great, but I’m more interested in actions that can actually be passed into law so they can have a real effect, instead of just being some ‘what-if’ scenario which won’t likely ever play out.
On donations: he’s the least wealthy candidate by like 400% OC he’d take donations I personally don’t give a shit about campaign donations, because if we try to expose the shady shit every candidate has done with regards to it we’d be here until the general election (Warren I’m looking at you)
My problem with Bernie is that he forgoes taking actions that can easily get accomplished in favor of his perfect ‘what-if’ scenario, and that ends up with nothing being actually passed. Like, I’d rather have a watered down version passed into law than his idealistic policy which remains nothing more than a fantasy. Think of it this way: i want guns banned, but that isn’t going to happen in the forseeable future. I have two options: I can change track and argue for universal background checks, or I can scream until my head hurts that we should ban guns. If I scream, nothing is going to change republican positioning. But if I go the magazine path, I might be able to get some on board with the idea and sure we still have a long way to go, but at least a some of the legislation enacts help and now we have a point to build off of. That’s better than sicking to the full “no guns” and thenh having nothing get done.
also i have personal grudge because his staff holds some of the literal worst people I’ve ever had to work with, and I have met people from Ted Cruise’s office….on the hill it’s pretty much understood that staff is a mirror reflection of how congressmen run their office which…YIKES. saying they are horrible is an understatement oh my god

Someone asked if Angie's died from "SEVERE DEHYDRATION" or whatever. The answer is no - this is just what she does when the heat gets too high to handle. She lurks. She's probably reading all of the posts about her and wondering how to spin things in her favor, how to regain control of the situation. Maybe she's on AirTasker yet again, looking for someone to write more BS for her scampaign. We've followed her situation for ages now, and it's safe to say that the backlash against her has never been this bad. That's a very good thing, mind you. It's raining receipts, more and more people are questioning her, and Angie has no idea what to do besides bringing up that "protective order" again. When you're disabled, you see your doctor(s) regularly. Personally, I see my pcp at least once every three months. Your records are constantly updated, even if it's just notes from your doctor reflecting the status quo. The fact that Angie's received NO NEW DOCUMENTATION in THREE YEARS is a huge red flag. This has nothing to do with "abuse" by medical personnel, the legal/healthcare system, or anything of the sort - Angie's not disabled/bedbound. Period. End of story. Her donors have funded her delusions and kept her away from psychiatric care/evaluation. They meant well, but they've created a larger problem. Would be a shame if there was ever a massive fraud suit launched against Angie. Angie, if you're "laying low", give it up - we're here to stay. We will shut you down, wherever you may try to scam others. I encourage everyone to keep spreading the truth and, hell, report her various blogs to Tumblr. I doubt they'll do anything, but if there are enough reports of her fraud then maybe they'll be forced to do something. Get her banned from this site. It's been her biggest source of support for her delusional behavior and honestly, being cut off from that entirely would be the best way to get Angie the help she truly needs.

This YouTube comment smells like flop sweat, pancake makeup, and desperation. It was posted in the middle of the night on a video titled “Will the Intellivision Amico Fail?” Pasted verbatim.
Tommy Tallarico 22 hours ago (edited) Hi! Thanks for talking about Amico. Y'know if you mention my name 3 times on YouTube I appear. :)
You guys had a lot of great questions. And although you all had doubts (understandable) you were very respectful in your dialogue. I appreciate it. Would love to talk to you and your crew about it if you'd like. Please feel free to ask me any tough questions.
A few things I'd like to mention regarding some of the things that were said.
We do have physical media (you had mentioned we didn't).
You nailed it when you said this isn't for hardcore gamers. I think this is the biggest disconnect between the comments everyone was making. We are not in any way trying to compete with Sony, Microsoft & Nintendo. Our market is completely different from them. You can't look at it and compare it to any of those. It's not really for them initially.
In regards to the controllers... I wish you would have played more of our last 2 videos which featured why the controllers are so unique and how they are used in very different ways.
We have an AMAZING developer program. Would love to explain it to you guys and why hundreds of developers have signed up and why we have about 100 companies making games for us right now.
Yes. Every game is exclusive and curated and high quality. No shovelware.
The bean bag throwing game is called Cornhole and is the biggest growing sport in the United States and even beats things like Wimbleton on TV.
I think some of the comments about the games were too focused on game graphics. We all know that graphics aren't the most important thing in a game. It's all about simple and fun gameplay. That's what we're all about. Amazing gameplay and all games are couch co-op.
We have a TON of stuff in the pipeline that we haven't mentioned yet.
The initial launch price was unfortunately determined because of Coronavirus. The goal is to get the console under $199 by the end of 2021. Keep in mind however... Amico comes with 6 games, 2 controllers (first machine since the SNES that comes with 2 controllers!) and the ability to connect up to 8 mobile phones to the system as well (for free) and all games are $9.99 or less. So when you were comparing to the Switch you weren't including MULTIPLE Switches to play couch co-op games or multiple controllers.
We have about 30 games on launch and again it comes with 6 premium pack-ins!
We definitely have 5 Earthworm Jim type big licenses in the works!
We are scheduled to have 1 new game come out every 10 - 14 days.
No one needs to worry about servers being shut off. Once you download a game it stays on the machine forever.
We haven't even started our marketing yet. It's not coming out until October so it won't start until the end of this summer.
Rich ReviewTechUSA hasn't crapped on it because he's spoken to me about it and knows what the plan for the system is. JT Smash loves it as well (because he's played it). He initially had concerns... but then after speaking with me and playing the machine... he quickly changed his mind and now is very positive. Would love to talk to you guys about it as well to explain more.
There is NO subscription model so don't worry about that.
We actually have new Earthworm Jim animation on our YouTube channel. :)
None of the games are being developed in house actually. Only the TOP developers in the world... handpicked by us.
Pre-Orders are already live in the UK!! It's an absolutely worldwide release! You can get it now. It sad that you guys were turned off at the end because you didn't think it was available worldwide. :(
Thanks again for discussing it.... let's please do an interview ASAP so I can fill you in on a lot of things that weren't discussed including who are target market is. And again... PLEASE feel free to ask me the toughest questions you'd like. I welcome it.
Please leave me a message here if you're interested or contact me PM on Twittter.
Thanks guys!

Game Over for Nestlé? Atari Sues Over “Breakout” Kit-Kat Ads
For most of us, video games and candy go together perfectly, but that doesn’t mean they always get along. In fact, last week the “original” video game company, Atari Interactive, sued food and candy behemoth Nestlé in California federal court. What put Atari on tilt? It was Nestlé’s incorporation of the game play, layout, and namesake of Atari’s classic Breakout video game into a KitKat advertising campaign.
I’ll forgive those readers who are not well-versed in classic video games. Not everyone could be as interesting as I am, having built a vintage video game collection that included more than 700 games across the Intellivision, Atari 2600, NES (Nintendo), SNES (Super Nintendo), Sega Genesis, and other platforms—side note to self from 10 years ago, don’t fall for that “we need more space, you never play them, and wouldn’t you rather have money?” argument. Breakout was essentially a single player version of Pong, whose game play screen is shown in the image below:
Image courtesy of Atari Interactive, via its complaint.
If it isn’t obvious from the screenshot, the goal of the game is to eliminate all of the colored blocks in the wall at the top of the screen. The player moves the spaceship at the bottom to bounce back the bouncing ball until breaks all of the breaks in the wall. Once that happens, you move on to the next stage, where you do it again. Exciting, right?
Nestlé had the clever idea to create an advertising campaign based on the Breakout game where, instead of colored bricks, it used KitKat slabs (I believe that’s the culinary term for a KitKat portion). An example of Nestlé’s online advertising was included in the complaint and is reproduced below.
At the moment, the Nestlé television commercial featuring the “game” is still accessible on YouTube at https://youtu.be/gSzT6Gh91zE.
In the complaint (available here), Atari asserts a number of claims including trademark infringement, copyright infringement, false designation of origin, dilution, and unfair competition. Will any of these claims hold up? I’d say the copyright infringement claim has a fair shot. Atari’s claim of incurring actual damages seems like a stretch though. In fact, Nestlé could plausibly argue that the advertisement increased demand for the Breakout game. If you don’t mind a little armchair quarterbacking, maybe some discovery on whether downloads of Breakout games increased shortly after Nestlé ‘scampaign began?
Setting that issue aside, Nestlé seems likely to win in the court of public opinion as the average member of the public is likely to think “what’s the big deal?” Yet in Atari’s defense, the company owns significant rights in numerous, valuable game franchises with extensive merchandising value. I’m never a fan of slippery slope arguments, but there is a reasonable concern here as to the effect of such use on merchandising rights. And with all that as a back drop, I’d say the chances of a quick settlement are high.
In the meantime, I’ll be scouring eBay for some good deals on Atari 2600s.
