Interesting frame of Sol and the mirror.
When Ji-WAN falls in Sol’s chest, you can see Sol reaction in the mirror
Oh, yes! I loved that choice! I love when there's effort into shooting f/f scenes, the angles, the closeups, the framing. They were really emphasizing both their emotions through the whole convo, Ji-wan's tears and trembling lips and Sol's reaction throughout.
She looks so pained and conflicted!

What do you think their friend meant when he asked Sol if she were jealous of them? I thought it meant that they all could tell sol and jiwan liked each other but couldnt be public about it... But no ones talking about this. Maybe I got it wrong
Lol, I was afraid someone would ask me this but I don't know either! It was so out of nowhere, didn't seem to reference anything, and then was over so quickly.
My best guess is that he meant, you're jealous we're here as a couple being all lovey dovey and you're here as a single person having to comfort your friend. But the way she looked at him and the way the other girl quickly shushed him, it almost felt like he was implying more?
On the other hand, if he DID mean more, I feel like the reaction would be even more pronounced and we would see Sol look very awkwardly at Ji-wan or even see Ji-wan react. And it just seems bizarre that if there WERE going to be an allusion to them being more, it'd be from this random guy for like two seconds, and nothing more mentioned. At the least, it should be from Bit-na or Na-bi or Se-hun and there should be a much bigger deal of it made.
My current interpretation is that HE meant it in a joking "haha, loser single person" kind of way, but Sol took it as possibly something more and looked intensely at him to figure out his meaning and then the gf just thought it was a rude joke and shut it down and the moment was over.

Is Sol tearing up in the last moment? In the “hopes” scene? It is just me been delusional
Hmmm. I can't really tell. It definitely looks like her eyes are shinier but it's hard to tell from the angle.

I really feel for Sol though. The pining. The uncertainty. The agonizing period after Ji-wan saying all these things, coz it’s still can be ambiguous especially coming from your best friend that never indicates she’s into girls. Like, I can feel her pain when she said don’t get her hopes up.Ahhhhhhhh
Ah, definitely! The UNCERTAINTY! It would be such a dream come true that can she really trust it? Can she trust herself? Can she trust that this is what Ji-wan meant? Can she trust that, even if she did, she'll still mean it tomorrow? Or in a week? And she doesn't even have anyone to talk to about it! The isolation and second-guessing are so painful.

read somewhere that Sol’s “don’t get my hopes up” line was maybe because she has heard Jiwan said before when she was also (maybe) drunk. i think it kinda made sense for Sol’s reaction to the confession
Oh, hmmm. I suppose it does explain why Sol isn't more excited and eager about something she's surely been hoping for forever but I feel like if that were the case, wouldn't she say "again"? Wouldn't it be very natural to add that? But I suppose we'll see, especially if we do get the high school flashback and it shows something.

Can't wait for the next episodes, the possibilities of some angst if Jiwan doesn't remember or Sol acts like nothing happened!!! I wonder what the reaction has been in SK, if the show has gotten any flack from the general audience. I really hope not because I think this is a big step in Asian media, especially for it being a tv drama. Films are allowed to push the envelope but tv usually not.
Ooh, I know, the angst will be delicious. I REALLY don't want a reset where they just don't mention it, especially if it from lack of screentime. I'm gonna need stares, I'm gonna need awkwardness, I'm gonna need at least some allusions to it.
I think it would be pretty easy for the show and probably still fit in the pacing of their storyline for Ji-wan to not remember, because as the other anon said, once they get to the mutual confession, what's left? They can't be acting like the other couples. But I feel Ji-wan may pretend to not remember, either we'll figure it out right when she says it because she'll be super awkward, or she'll act as she always is, and then only later will we get some hint and realize, ohhh, she remembers! I kind of want that just for the reveal?
Sol will take her cue from Ji-wan, I think? She may tentatively bring it up and who knows, maybe it's a mark of just how far she's been pushed that she may even be stubborn about it, but from what we've seen so far, she'll let Ji-wan decide what to say or not say about it. I'm okay with either way.
Uh, I think the show has just no been super popular and the focus has been on the main m/f couple? Maybe that's a good thing, that Mine has done enough that this is no longer that unprecedented, but on the other hand, maybe it's bad, in that it's too minor to really cause any ripples. It's also like, rated R, so that shrinks the audience and changes expectations, I guess. But at the moment, I can't really say that people watching an R rated show with m/f couples making out everywhere really have much to say about this very slow burn f/f.

If this was a het couple on any other Kdrama, there would be no doubt that these two were getting together! Their friends even know, in the first scene, Jiwan is asked if she sees anyone but Sol??? Like her hearteyes are so damn obvious to everyone but Sol???
Oh, for sure. It does smart a bit, seeing all these other m/f couples in various stages getting to be so much more open, but I wouldn't trade any of them for Soljiwan's dynamic and chemistry!
As for the scene at the start, again, it's teasing them on the friendship more than anything else. Lol, this is where watching the rest of the show comes a bit in handy because we're seeing how Bit-na handles the other couples where she suspects, and it's quite different from this.
We MIGHT get an "I knew it!" at the end but I would not say that at the moment, Bit-na is treating them like she does. Na-bi...that might be different, she's more knowledgeable about their dynamic, more willing to stay quiet about it, and the lead, so she's literally written to be the center of all their stories. Still, I feel this will be more an "ohhh" kind of reveal for them all than "duh, we always knew." If not, then they sure missed a lot of chances to get little reaction shots and matchmaking, right. They can't claim they knew and then never have the characters act like it.

Well, the other friends, the ones that smoke with Jiwan has maid comments that sound like they know. Probably their friend group has a tell?
Hmm? Comments like what? I can only remember that they'd allude to Ji-wan not knowing Sol that well when they'd ask questions.

I looove your toh gifset, it's done so well. I think you put the wrong date on it: it should be 2021 not 2020 haha
Oh, thank you! That date's only meant to denote when the show started, which surprisingly was 2020 for TOH? It feels like it's been on for longer.
