Artwork commissioned from the ever-talented @seealandraw
[Image ID: It is a graphic centered on the character Tali’Zorah vas Normandy from the Mass Effect video game trilogy. She is sipping a slender glass of iced coffee through a straw and is wearing her trademark purple and black quarian envirosuit. A gold collar accents the outfit. Her helmet obscures everything except the faint white glow of her eyes which express happiness. She is sitting on a star that is leaving a trail of the bisexual pride flag colors in its wake. To her right are two separate boxes identifying basic information and facts about her as relevant to the Mass Effect fanfiction this particular iteration of the character is from. The bottom left corner of the graphic shows images of Tali’s partners which include Shepard, the red-headed human woman in the left heart frame, and Garrus, the blue-eyed turian man with the visor in the right heart frame. The background has a semi-transparent Pride flag layered over an image of the blackness of Space dotted by countless stars. Character Artwork by seealandraw.]
[Image Text: Name: Tali’Zorah vas Normandy; Age: 26; Specie: Quarian; Gender: Cis Woman; Orientation: Bisexual. Fun facts! June 2189 CE will be Tali’s first Pride! Shepard, Garrus and Tali having a stargazing date. ;)c
I didn’t realize you got to see Tali’s full face in motion when you romance her in legendary edition. Kinda put off how human she looks, but I do like the features they gave her. (Didn’t capture it very well, though. :T)
This took a good two months to complete, between work and life in general. 😰

Gonna post this ridiculous scene from my long wip fic. Pre-Tali/Shepard/Garrus set in ME1.
Tali placed a hand on Shepard’s chest to comfort her and she felt Shepard still as Garrus coughed. She realized that this was probably not a gesture that Humans and Quarians shared but was distracted by a fast thumping beneath her fingers.
“Shepard, what is that?”
“Her chest,” Garrus deadpanned and Shepard snorted. Tali shakes her head in response.
“No, there is a beat there.”
“Oh, that’s my heart,” Shepard said softly and Tali felt her eyes go wide.
“You can just feel it?”
“Do Quarians not feel their heart beats?”
“We have some plating. Mostly along our spine, head, and chest so you can’t feel anything like a heartbeat,” Tali said, unable to move her hand away as she marveled at how Shepard’s heart could be so unprotected. “You can’t feel anything like this through our suits anyway.”
“Oh,” Shepard said, her eyes darted towards Garrus. “I guess it’s the same for you, Garrus?”
“Uh, yeah,” Garrus said, his mandibles twitching as he rubbed his neck. “There is really only one place to get an accurate pulse on a Turian.”
“Where?” Shepard asked and Tali looked up.
Garrus’s mandibles fluttered as he hovered his hand over Shepard’s. When she nodded, he gently grabbed her hand and lifted it to his face. He flared out his right mandible and guided her hand to point on his jaw. Shepard let out a breath as they settled on a point.
“It’s slower than I would have thought,” Shepard said and Tali felt Shepard’s heart beat a little faster.
“Humans do have faster heart beats,” Garrus replied and Shepard hummed.
“I suppose I should show you where those points are on me,” Shepard said, deftly switching their positions so she was holding his hand instead, moving them away from his jaw to settle on her leg. Her other hand guided him to a point on her wrist.
“How did humans make it this far? So many weak points,” Garrus said with a tilt of his head as he felt her pulse and Shepard smiled.
“We’re very stubborn,” she said before turning that smile to Tali. “Do you want to feel my heart beat somewhere else, Tali?”
Tali nodded as her neck flushed. As Shepard guided her hand, Tali thought that they were supposed to be comforting her not... whatever this was. Tali tried not to think about how nice Shepard’s hand felt on hers as Shepard moved her fingers to a point on her neck.
“I can feel the beating here too,” Tali said and Shepard smiled back at her.
“Okay, what the shit is going on here?”
The three of them pulled their hands away from each other as Joker stood there with a dumbfounded look at his face.
“I was showing them where you can feel for a pulse on a human,” Shepard said and Tali found herself nodding even as embarrassment set in. Garrus didn’t look much better as he was pointedly avoiding eye contact with anyone.
“That’s weird, Commander,”

outerspacekake replied to your post “me: my readers are expecting another chapter of my ot3 fic in like 3...”
me, a polyamorous person who also plays mass effect: DID SOMEONE SAY OT3
i’m writing a SUPER slow burn tali POV shakarian that will eventually turn into shalikarian... way later. 1st chapter is like, right at the end of mass effect 3, but then ch2 starts from me1 and i’m just digging into the events of me2 right now...
beyond the garden walls on ao3, if you want to take a look! i only started writing earlier last month (both this fic and in general) so it won’t hurt my feelings if you’re not into it
