Lmao the Kushina teaching Shisui post you reblogged made me laugh so much, can you imagine throwing in there the Obito is Shisui's brother thing and just watching as chaos unfolds? Who knows, maybe Kushina decided to teach Shisui because Obito one day brought him to training since he had no one to ask to babysit him and Kushina ended up staying around watching Team 7 train for shits and giggles and ends up basically babysitting Shisui (although he's a good kid, he knows to not stray to far and to keep himself out of possible harm while his brother's team trains) and she realizes how much potential this kid has and goes "You know what? You're mine now. Minato basically adopted your brother and the rest of the team, anyway!"

HOLY SHIT HI KOTO ANON!!! UR ASKS R LIKE… SUPER COOL. Anyways this ask is unrelated w/ koto-anons ask, i just think they’re cool,,,

anyways, more shiobi brainrot and expanding on my last ask abt kakashi because oh my fucking god, these bitches make me so fucking sad. (also the fucking naruto timeline makes my head hurt so fuck the timeline!)

Ever since he was little, Obito would always make up stories about his team in a fairytale-esk way. For example: “the white wolf who's always a stickler for rules!” and “how he saved a princess!” (this is kinda relevant idk– i wanted to include this part into the confrontation but things just don't work out)

Later on, Obito would die during THE mission– with shisui’s genin team dying within the same month. Shisui was well, inconsolable. That doesn’t help with the fact that the Uchiha clan is now looking at him with those eyes and– obito-nii please. I'm scared. please come back… – and how he’s now treated as a weapon.

Then boom Inoichi and Shisui bonding time. (more like therapy sessions but shhh…)

During this time, Shisui has never seen Kakashi ever since Obito’s death. And with the rumors of Kakashi being well… a friend killer. Uhm. yikes.

Later on in his life, he was well recruited into anbu– he saw like kakashi in his hound mode (kakashi’s inner thoughts: oh god oh fuck– OBITO’S LITTLE BROTHER. IS IN FUCKING ANBU. FUCK. (kakashi’s a mess and i love him)) 

He passes yada yada. Skipping to Kakashi’s and Shisui’s confrontation–

“S–Shisui...?” and just like that, the air within Shisui’s lungs [just evaporates.] He knew that voice– no, he knows that voice. [smth smth about being obito’s teammate)

His mind is clouded with denial, grief, and.. and.. 

… and anger. [so so so much anger boils inside Shisui]. He wanted to yell why Obito died instead of him. He wanted to sob into him knowing that his older brother’s death didn’t go to waste and how he knew he cared way too much about his teammates and and– He wanted to attack Kakashi right there and then because how dare he–!

He… … feels a lot of things about Kakashi and it takes [his entire willpower to not contort his face.] “... I hate you so much,” He blurted with [such venom in his voice]. He knows he shouldn’t let his anger get the better of him– he knows it isn’t kakashi’s fault but… feelings are so so irrational, aren’t they?

Hou– Kakashi [took a step back– no, backpedaled.] and and … fuck.

“I’m… For what it’s worth, I’m.. I’m sorry,” Kakashi said, his voice hitching. “Sorries won’t bring Obito back.” He spat, before walking away from him.

Ok so, i cannot believe i actually wrote that WHOOPS. Is Shisui a bit ooc? Maybe but shh! Anyways! After that, they both tip toed towards each other before they decide to actually get to know each other and bond through the trauma they both went through.

Shisui never knew how Obito truly died just that he knew that Kakashi had Obito’s eyes (and for all that he hated Kakashi, he knew he wasn’t a bloodline thief.) and then boom trauma bonding then boom Shisui died presumeably from suicide. (which uh… not the best move Shisui)

Kakashi just went straight to grieving mode because he lost the last connection to Obito and spent his life devoted to protecting Naruto because he isn’t gonna lose another precious person of his.

This is just a rough idea, my daydreams are wayyy more in depth but i need to get this outta my system lol.

It is currently 11 pm. I think I have a problem with asking during ungodly hours <3 ALSO IF ANYONE ELSE WANNA WRITE ABT THIS… PLS DO. I DON’T HAVE THE MOTIVATION TO WRITE 😭

I spent three days in 2021 trying to make it make sense and then i just gave up and built my own timeline (hence some wonky ages, most notably Shisui) 😅 it was waaaaaay too long for my AO3 A/Ns (not because i thought so, c'mon i don't shut up, but because it literally went over word limit) so...idk if people are interested, I could talk about it more on here???

Honestly the fairytale element just makes me desperately want a fantasy, magical, or even an InkHeart AU 🥺

Honestly, I'm not sure it IS OOC because, let's be honest, Shisui probably has a fair bit of repressed anger and he probably (ironically) would have some feelings about eye implants so writing a scene/fic where Shisui flips his tits at Kakashi just sounds cathartic to me! I can't believe you wrote honest to God dialogue in my askbox, I'm very honoured (genuinely, this takes time) ✨

Imagine this: Shisui growing up with his older brother Obito. His and Obito’s parents were killed during the kyuubi attack– and so, Obito and Shisui were taken in by Mikoto and by extension– Fugaku. 

The brothers create little note slips telling each other about their day– Shisui continuing creating these note slips despite Obito ‘dying’ because it made him feel closer to his older brother.

When Shisui sees Kakashi again, he just wanna punch him in the face because– Obito was my fucking older brother! Why did he die instead of you– but he refrains and internalizes those feelings because it wasn’t Kakashi’s fault (but feelings are irrational, anyways.)

Shisui at a young age being described as being a prodigy and Obito quite often rubbing it onto other peoples faces (cough Kakashi cough) and yet being so afraid, because you know what happens to prodigies and geniuses.

Shisui losing Obito and his genin team in the same month–

Shisui… being mad at Obito during the reveal because… Why wasn’t he enough for Obito to come back?

Was all those moments worth nothing to him?

Were all of those moments false?

Shisui helping Obito prank one of his academic teachers… Obito teaching him Kanji… Shisui showing him a new jutsu…

Was he not enough??

Now my mind is spinning because what if Shisui was the one to save Obito? Kakashi and Rin come back with Obito's eye and news that his brother is dead but they didn't bring back his corpse or stay with his brother in his final moments?! Shisui can't accept it, I have Shisui as a supply runner during the 3rdWar so imagine if Shisui is perfecting his Shunshin, having already activated his Mangekyou, whilst Obito is being slowly brought back to health in the cave with Madara and Zetsu, he's got a seal on his heart and he's being slowly poisoned against Konoha (they left him to die on purpose, they never cared, there is nothing for him back there, all this pain is useless, etc etc)...and then Shisui catches a tiny hint of Obito's chakra, as his healing is a very messy process both physically and with the injected cells etc so it's hard to keep completely undetectable, as he's running through, he's determined that Obito is somewhere around here (not necessarily alive but maybe his other eye or his body a la Sasori, there's a lot Shinobi can do with a corpse) and he bursts in, fast enough that Zetsu can't grab him, Madara is old as fuck, he grabs Obito and fucking legs it, Kotoamatsukami to break the seal on his brothers heart, Obito has undeniable proof that Zetsu&Madara were lying to him etc, it's all very heartbreaking and heartwarming and heart pounding and now I'm all in my fucking feels again, DAMMIT ANONS MY HEART ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

My obsession is so bad that i couldn’t think of anything else other than shisui when i was studying so heres some scenarios involving shisui <3 (i’m blaming you 100% for this fixation)

so, here I am. expanding on my last ask abt a minor part of the my shiobi bros au while eating 2~ dollars pancakes. (also if you want PLEASE talk my mind off the naruto timeline you made, i'm interested 👀)

When they were both little– Obito called Shisui “Shishi” and sometimes when Obito wanted to be a little shit, “Sushi.” 

in retaliation, Shisui called Obito “Tobi” (Although, Obito didn’t seem to mind the nickname which infuriates Shisui.) These nicknames are a sign of trust in Shisui’s POV so Shisui never calls him ‘Tobi and usually calls him “Obito-nii” when near other people. 

(It’s a plot point later that Shisui reveals to Kakashi that he called Obito– “Tobi” as a sign of trust.

… Not that Kakashi knew it was a sign of trust or anything. Shisui said that one time when they were drinking together in a bar– and he never said it again after that.)

(Also Obito intentionally chose the name “Tobi” to be his pseudonym because of a) spite b) because lets be fr, its a childish nickname c) he’s a sentimental fucker and he really liked the nickname.)

After Obito ‘died’, whenever he would be called “Shishi” or “Sushi” – Shisui would visibly flinch but after quite some time, people started getting the memo and stopped calling him those two nicknames. 

And while Shisui is grateful for that, despite his flinches he liked being called those nicknames because it's the only impact, reminder, memory, or whatever that Obito well.. Obito was there– in his life.

Or we could totally run from the opposite direction and the Uchiha clan just never called Shisui those nicknames because omg ew Obito???? But I like my first option better lmao

Your anons are as terrible as you, making me all emotional about Shisui and Obito... The idea of blind Shisui (or half blind, since depending on how things to Itachi might have no reason to keep his left eye) standing in front of someone who he thought dead for so long, and not just a random someone but his brother, someone who meant (and probably does mean, although so much time has passed) the world to him...

But now I can't stop thinking of blind Shisui who didn't return to Konoha for a long time and stayed mostly out of the radars, kept training and learning how to live without sight, but when war starts and he can't just stand back! And maybe things have gone just like in canon up to that point. What if Shisui somehow meets by accident with Edo Tensei Itachi, and even if he can't see he can definitely recognize Itachi's chakra

Already it would be a hard blow. But imagine. Imagine him getting his left eye back from Itachi, and the first thing he sees once he joins the others on the battlefield is Obito as their enemy

AND THEN. Let's not forget that Inoichi and Shikaku die during the war. Imagine Shisui also losing his pseudo-father figure without having even been able to meet with him again after all these years

Triple angst (or more, if we also keep Obito dying like in canon. He just got his big bro back and now he's gone again. Poor Shisui, why do we always do this to him)

We all like Shisui and Obito as brothers and all the very juicy angst that can come out from this (Shisui surviving and finding out that Obito's alive? And he didn't come back home to his little brother?? And he's trying to trap the world in an endless dream??? The idea of Obito saying something about wanting to do this for Rin and Shisui getting this cold anger in his heart and going like "What about me? Was I not important enough for you to come back?" CHEF'S KISS. Anyway), B U T. What if Obito does come back for Shisui? What if, despite the seal Zetsu puts on his heart (that afaik sort of subtly manipulates his way of thinking/his priorities towards the EMP) Obito simply loves his brother too much?

He keeps himself as far as possible, but every once in a while he can't help but make sure that Shisui's still alive and well, and then- and then he sees Danzō attacking him. Attacking his little brother. And he simply cannot stop himself from lashing forward and stopping Danzō before it's too late, raw fury in his spinning Mangekyō, while Shisui is behind him (poisoned, perhaps? I remember something about poison to make him weaker/easier to be struck down) not understanding because who is this person? Why are they protecting him? Do they want something from him, something in return for helping? But no. Obito takes care of Danzō (he can't let the bastard live after what he tried to do to Shisui) and then turns around and- who knows. Maybe takes his mask off. Hugs Shisui and cries tears of relief for having been able to save him. That he didn't fail him like he did with Rin and, in a way, Kakashi. And Shisui doesn't understand, at first. It takes a handful of seconds for his brain to pick up the fact that Obito saved him. That Obito is alive. I wonder how he would react to that information

I just love the idea way too much and I needed to share it with you because you're the one that put Shisui and Obito as brothers in my brain, so I'm holding you accountable for this u.u ♡
