So I don't understand why everytime Sasuke is doing something nice for Sakura, it's considered romantic? Like Idk, Sasuke saving Sakura just so she won't get a concussion is romanticized. Him trying to show affection by thanking her is romantic. Giving her a hand to help her get up is romantic.. Anything that a regular teammate would do for the other in their case is romanticized..

Like, do they lack so much chemistry to the point that Sasuke addressing her by her name will be romantic?

Hello :) Well i think a lot of facts have to do wit this topic: 1) The fact that they are canon makes people believe that every interaction before the canon statement foreshadows their (non existent) relationship. So despite none of those interactions were meant to be romantic maybe, people, fans will see them as a foreshadowing hence will say all of that content was romantic. 2) The lack of content they have, in order for this canon pair to become well...canon, leads to their fans to see any (few) interaction they have as a romantic foreshadowing. They believe every interaction from them is Important to both relationship, but reality is that those moments were only meaningful for Sakura, not sasuke.

3) Well this is not only in naruto , but in a lot of medias that some people cannot see a friendship between a woman and a man and think everything leads to sexual/romantic desires. Also, this one is attached that many people believe all characters are straight until proven the contrary. For example, Tenten and Neji. They have beautiful and great friendship <3 I never shipped them, but if a relationship between these 2 were to happen we wouldnt be that surprised since they were very good friends. This is how a good friendship is portrayed ( and people tell me kishimoto does not know how to write romance- bonds -or women) But the deal is, A BIG PART of the fandom believed they were in love¿¿¿¿¿¿ Why? I dont know, just because they have , not even chemistry, but a good dynamic, dudebros believe they wanna tear off those clothes.

-Thre is this OVA in 3d crossed ways/paths. Where Sasuke saves Naruto and Sakura. He FIRST kicks naruto away so he doesnt get attacked by the enemy, and then he take sakura in his arms. Dudebros and SS fans were crazy because OMG HE TOOK HER IN HIS ARMS <3 <3<3<3 and ???? I mean, yeah you can see it as romantic but he also saved naruto. And also, she is A GIRL. Was other way to save her despite not taking her in his arms? Did they want him to kick her as with naruto? XD

4) Sasuke didnt interact that much with women, because he just didnt want to and the narrative didnt put him in that situation. So that Sakura is one of the few women he interacted with...well SS fans flies their imagination and headcanons. But they completely erase Karin lol

5) Concluding I think the main reason is the first one. The fact of being canon makes people see their "relationship" through another lens plus they have maybe 1 or 2 "romantic tropes" (which SNS wins in here ofc) so people will believe this is enough. But something is sure, Sakura and kakashi are somehow very irrelevant in Sasuke life. Sakura and Kakashi can be replaced by any other character and the feelings will be the same. Replace Sakura or erase her from his life and plot will remain almost intact. If we can take sakura away from Sasuke life, and the plot won't be affected by his pov, how important is she in the end? I ask SS fans to do this exercise.

Nh shippers know that outright denying sns would make them appear dumb and homophobic so they act like they ship it or understand it while giving hnta as much importance as sske in naruto's life. Sometimes they think only sske has feelings for narto and narto chose hnta over him. Or think hinta is the less toxic choice and sske is the toxic ex. Or hinta knows abt sns and is so pure of heart that she allows sns to see each other sometimes as if she is in control of the situation. 🤣

Recently i saw a comment saying they ship nh bc they want hnata to be happy but they believe sns love each other (but also their wives) and hinta and skra know about them and allow their husbands to be in love bc apparently in the ancient time it was common for men to love their friend more than their wife (congrats they just described closeted people in ancient times💀💀).

Lol. Yeah I have no patience for people who pretend Hinata is as important to Naruto as Sasuke. Naruto barely remembered her existence in the manga unless she was getting beaten left and right in front of him. Hinata is also selfish, I don't believe for a moment she would be "understanding" of closeted people. This is also why I dislike My Lost Himawari too because Hinata and Sakura are so ooc in it. Like the doujinshi is trying to paint them as saints and victims.

do you like or enjoy any relation(ships) in naruto besides sns? or dislike?

hmmmm it's a bit hard to tell, for the most part i'm mostly very neutral about the rest (i assume it's about ships) unless it's some weird shit but i feel like this doesn't needs to be pointed out

like, sns i love in particular and cherish. a lot. and it's special. the others i probably would say i just like: kkgai (they are fun i'd say), min/akushi (tho i prefer both them dead, they are really good n fun in flashbacks), sa/kuhina (theoretically? fanonically? kinda of? whatver u can make of it i guess), hash/imada (like im not crazy about these, but i get it) don't know what even to add, like i mostly don't care about this and not counting canonical ones which are. like again, just good, like yahiko / konan and where kishimoto bothered, etc. i used to be very much on board with nar/usaku and again, but it was a time when i was much much younger and was still thinking im straight and coping which ending i would take theoretically. these days, i'm just very very neutral about it leaning more towards not being fan of it, so when i see it i just go "alright" if talking about disliking ones... if not mentioning about more obvious ones, i'd say i'm really really not a fan of nej/iten, or i guess what fandom makes of it and how popular it is for neji. idk, i just don't see it as people do, and it's another one of "oh a boy and a girl on a team, let's ship it" (and like most of narto ships like this and i hate it) and they had ONE moment, hell, FEW somewhat romantic frames and it sparkled this amount of content and "nuance" and "hints" i just look at all this and go " huh where :/" IDK IT SO BORING, JUST YOUR GIRL x BOY SHIP and i hate that fanon convinced people its actually canon or whatever, like sooooo little effort needs to be done to convience people who are unfamiliar or casual that some girl and a boy were in love when they literally weren't. like i feel people who really into it this way think it's tsunade / dan when in reality it's something like shikamaru / ino

and i like neji and tenten separately quite a whole lot, that's why it bothers me. regardless of even headcanons about neji's preferences

It always puzzled me - why write sns or nsn (what the difference, anyway). Why 3 letters? There are only two characters. Moreover it almost always in fact appears to be SN. 

I don't understand SN. I'm in the fandom for 10 years now and I still don't understand it. And it's everywhere. I hate it.

Those SN fans are ridiculous: "He turns ito the girl and that means he is a bottom" - What?! Sadly a lot of people really think so... They so often portray Narto in they arts and fanfics as a girly twink. That's irritating as fuck. Because really??! "Sasuke is manly" - Where exactly? Point it to me? Maybe by shojo standarts? Woke - it's shonen. "Posessive Sasuke" trope - where from that came at all? Because it's really, as you said, other way around.

It's even more ridiculous considering their caconically estabilished Yin Yang dinamic

Don’t tell me, I’ve never seen the 3 letters thing in other ships (except for Itasas*ita, which is just as stupid tbh) and I figured it was for a switching thing, but when I realized how creepily hypocrite and imposing ppl are over it, like conform or the equality police will get you and call you out for fetishizing mlm relationships, I hated it. And some are so convinced S//N//S is the right thing and that by supporting it they’re supporting real equality in the real world, by erasing 2 fictional characters’ personality and canon dynamic since day 1, to fit some bleak hypocrite portrayal some first world fake social justice warrior decided was right, poor souls. Also because it’s mostly SN, so the hypocrisy is even stronger. I’ve seen N//S//N way less, which says it all. Not that I would mind, since like you said it’s canonically established who’s yin and who’s yang, so if someone likes switching or the reverse at least keep it as personal taste, not as law to impose on others cause it’s not. I didn’t make the rules, kishi did. Amongst the loads of crap he did in the manga, he was clear about this.

I’m in the fandom for a long time too and maybe I was too lucky in the beginning cause I only stumbled on NS and only rarely on SN which I hated since the first time, but now it’s everywhere (or I now see it everywhere) and I hate it. And it’s odd cause the ending was crap but sure it made it even clearer that the dynamic was so NS it hurts. I don’t even go in the NS tag anymore cause I don’t want to see SN tagged as both, and don’t tell me it’s just for equality cause they do it for the notes or cause they’re just lobotomized into this mindset. Which I hate. And I prefer knowing that they like SN cause it’s their preference, instead of their fake ass explanations like ‘N*ruto turns into a girl’ cause pls, that’s obviously made for laughs and N*ruto’s personality is that of a dominant assertive person, even too much, so guess how this translates into mlm dynamics, in a warrior society. Cause sex is also a display of power, and this applies well to them. Possessive Sasuke just doesn’t exist, N*ruto is possessive af, he went berserk when Orochiumaru called Sasuke his, for example. Sasuke isn’t possessive with anyone, not even with Itachi (and here I add, Sas*ita is just as OOC) cause wanting his attention isn’t being possessive, is wanting the attention of someone he loved so so much and whom he had lived for. 

And don’t get me started on manly Sasuke cause I’m still trying to see where they see him manly and N*ruto as girly since N*ruto is drawn with a squarer chin and an angular jaw, manlier moves and behavior which is fitting with YANG! While YIN! Sasuke is more feminine in appearance, he was mistaken for a girl as a kid ffs...and it’s not even a manly/feminine thing, cause it’s an assertive/passive, impulsive/calculating thing. Again, Yang/Yin.

stop acting like your ship is so healthy and good to both sides of it. it isn’t especially for sasuke. in fact, only for him. it’s ok if you like it anyway but stop fooling yourselves. adult narto is the symbol of everything sasuke tried to fight against in the past. someone who would sacrifice anything for the sake of konoha and whose words mean nothing but empty promises. as hokage, he’s like the new hiruzen. no justice for his best friend’s clan nor real changes in the system. wasn’t him a boy of a fucking profecy or something? wasn’t him supposed to understand sasuke as a special someone to him? or just shut the fuck up and actually listen to what sasuke had to say and wanted to do? or stop seeing him and every act from him as an attempt of being his rival or something? sasuke didn’t give a fuck about that anymore, he should have got it over by that time too.

like everyone, narto underestimated sasuke. just because they were sun and moon or ““““soulmates”““” that doesn’t mean they would be a good couple. they were never equal. narto was always talking and sasuke had to listen. narto was always right and sasuke was always wrong. narto is at konoha’s side, and if you think this is not sasuke’s opposite, think again about his family being slaughtered by his own brother in a mission for the village.

narto was way too possessive. many fic writers love to portray sasuke as a mad jealous boyfriend, but narto was the one loosing his shit just because orochimaru told him he wouldn’t give sasuke back.

narto imposed his friendship. sasuke didn’t want to have anything to do with anyone. he created this bond with team 7 because he was so broken and desperate inside for it since he lost his family, but that doesn’t make narto his owner. it doesn’t give him the right to tell sasuke what to do, or where to stay. he’s a fucking human being who’s able to make his own choices. narto doesn’t even respect sasuke personal space.

narto projected his insecurities on sasuke and claimed him as his rival. sasuke didn’t even recognized him until a long time after it. like wtf i don’t even know this fucking loser.

also, shippers are not that understable with sasuke, even the ones who claim to be his fans. they also think narto was the voice of reason and sasuke was just a mad whiny emo kid who succumbed to some kind of hatred curse. they love to think narto saved poor sasuke’s soul (just like ss, you see) and that sasuke is lucky that narto still consider him as his friend after all. most of them don’t understand the uchiha oppression. they love to hate on sakura saying she chased after sasuke even tho narto did the same thing, and even worse.

so they think sasu//saku is abusive? well, naru//sasu is the real toxic relationship. narto guilty tripped sasuke, brainwashed him, chased after him the whole fucking series like a selfish ex-bf who doesn’t accept a NO. he couldn’t respect sasuke even when he knew the whole truth about itachi. he never took sasuke seriously. and i could extend myself about that much more, but i’ll stop here.

so, that’s why i came to despise naru//sasu and its fandom even though i thought of it as a good ship some time ago. if you are anti ss because oh sns is sooooo much better, you should think twice about it. they’re not that different after all.
