just noticed you were doing these um, what about a suki-centric fic outline? love your blog! 💖

excellent !! i love suki! if i were to write a suki fic, it would be my Suki Magnum Opus. canon-compliant, through the years type. each scene would be 200-1000 words

first scene: average day for 5 year old Suki on Kyoshi Island. she probably goes to the market with her mother, spots the Kyoshi Warriors practicing (allude to her mother having been one), runs to the dock when she sees the fishing boats coming in and greets her father

(also check out my milestone ask games i’m doing rn!)

a few months later, a fishing accident took her father (because we don’t know what happened to her parents, but i like to think it was unrelated or tangentially related to the war since she didn’t seem radicalized on that axis before meeting sokka). perhaps she joins the Warriors partially so there is somewhere for her to go while her mother works more to make up for the loss of secondary income

as a preteen, practicing with the Warriors and emphasizing her teaching abilities even early on. she is probably asked to demonstrate her stances for the younger girls. allude to old Warriors leaving for the war effort-- the war feels nearer now, but not quite “here” yet (her mother may have had to leave the Island or passed away)

that changes when she and the Warriors, that she now leads, apprehend three suspicious kids on the shore. cue: teaching Sokka, realizing the war is here and the war has been here, even if Kyoshi Island hadn’t been directly colonized or subjugated. trade, security, etc has been affected for years and it was only a matter of time...

Suki’s speech to the other Warriors that inspired them to join the war effort, and part of their journey to the Serpent’s Pass where they helped refugees.

i’m just going to skip the serpent’s pass episode here, and go directly to the day the Warriors were in the forest and found Appa, and were transported to prison

conversation between Suki and Azula. Suki has already been singled out as the leader. this is where Suki mentions Sokka and how “he’ll come and get me” (no ‘save me’ vocabulary here babes sorry)

prison scenes. think the montage from new moon. do you think anyone told the prisoners about the failed invasion? i bet

WAT bts! i have a lot of ideas for this, including bonding with Hakoda and Zuko in particular. (you ever notice Hakoda fights with what appears to be a similar philosophy of redirecting momentum of ones opponent? js)

ember island! sokka and suki time. suki wanting to open up to sokka in the same way he’s learned to lean on others, but she just can’t-- not leading up to final battle.

post-final battle (yes bc im too lazy to think of unique takes on the actual events). being reunited with the other warriors and making sure they’re all alright, being with Sokka while he initially heals (i’m going with him never fully recovering and using a cane)

spending time with Sokka and sort of being able to drop the leadership position she’s had for years and just be a teenager with her boyfriend in the Fire Nation preparing for the coronation. their relationship becomes more ‘permanent’ during this time... not based on the need to protect and have something to hold onto during a war

idk anything about Suki in the comics so skip. maybe one time when Sokka sees her while she’s Zuko’s bodyguard. Maybe a sweet Suki and Zuko scene too!

Suki visiting Republic City to see her husband!! I think Sokka was in his mid-forties when he was a councilman, so yeah <3 I think writing a quiet moment of Suki just walking through the city introspectively would be nice. maybe then she takes a ferry to air temple island and sees Aang and Tenzin

I’m working on a Glacier Spirits Festival fic rn but heck. throw it in here too. Suki going with Sokka to the south pole, visiting old Hakoda, seeing all the kids, Suki being grateful to be able to be an aunt to all these kids. so much of her and Sokka’s time has been spent apart by necessity, and even together they just.. never had any of their own. so it’s bittersweet (also allude to Sokka becoming more intuned with his spirituality at this point)

Katara becomes chief of the SWT and Suki takes a leadership role in Kyoshi Village. but then Aang passes away and Katara steps down and Sokka becomes chief and they start talking about figuring out how to live together. they’re getting older and frankly they don’t want to become too old to travel to see each other. maybe Suki was visiting the SWT when Korra is discovered, and decides that she can help with protecting the new Avatar

Sokka cooks breakfast one morning and they just have a quiet, intimate moment. like the cozy scene you only get from years of affection and understanding. then news comes of the Red Lotus attack on Korra and we cut to a fight scene with Old Suki, Old Sokka, Old Zuko, and Old Katara (and tonraq and unalaq and...) and whew. but they still got it <3 (old suki chi blocking ghazan or smth! imagine)

here’s what you know had to come. i can’t decide who goes first, but i think Sokka and Suki are one of those couples who both pass naturally, and only a few months apart. since this is Suki-centric, i think Sokka’s gotta go first. they knew it was coming, but Suki is inconsolable when he goes in his sleep. for once there’s nothing to redirect her energy toward. she and Katara comfort each other as best they can, and when the others arrive for the funeral Suki is mostly composed.

Cut to a scene 2-3 months later with various characters paying their respect. if i were to write this and feel generous at the end, perhaps there is a spirit world reunion (do not try to tell me how the spirit world works, i dont care)

i didn’t even put detail into their deaths and i literally cried over the end so um. lsdjf

a story you were nervous to post: like hannah said, all of them. authors always tend to be their own worst critics and i am no different. funny enough, i’ve actually taken down some stories i felt were just...not my strongest because they were a little embarrassing to have them up on display.

how do you choose your titles: hmm, great question! i know a lot of authors use lyrics as their titles nd like...i wish i had that kinda brand. most of the times, the title ties into the story and though it’s never stated in the story, it relates to what the story is about. some of my more “adventurous” titles revolve around foreign languages and sometimes inspired by song titles.

do you outline: HELL NAH! i have a vague concept, open up an empty text post, and ROLL WITH IT. however, with some stories, i do take a little bit of time to pinpoint crucial moments of the story but other than that...i just wing it, bro.

complete: what the fuck does this mean?? how many stories i’ve completed?? umm on this blog it’s 53? i think? i was counting fast. i did have more pero i deleted a lot of them during a spiral lmaoo

have you seen MALONE SINCLAIR since the storm? some say they look like DACRE MONTGOMERY but they’re 22 & go by THE LOTHARIO . HE lived in halloway for EIGHT YEARS & they are originally from MANHATTAN, NY . before the town vanished they were studying BIOLOGY and lived at UNI BLVD . most people knew the CIS MALE as BODACIOUS but i’ve heard they can also be EVASIVE . for some reason, they feel UNEASY about the town’s disappearance.

okay so homeboy here has had it pretty easy his entire life. his dad works relentlessly as chief of neurosurgery in lower manhattan and his step-mom had worked as a prestigious legal practitioner; one of the most sought out lawyers in the state, and later, a socialite. like the infamous philosopher dr justin roberts once said: “six figures, i was only four”, malone was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. while most would assume he’s a straight up trust fund punk, though, he inherited his father’s impeccable work ethic to a fault.

as an only child and therefore sole heir to the sinclair estate, his parents have been on mal’s ass his entire life to give his absolute best in everything he does. health, school, sports, friendships, relationships, the whole shebang. his marks were always near the top of his class, he excelled at his two favourite sports; hockey during the winter, baseball during the summer. but it wasn’t until he hit his mid adolescent years, started developing an interest in girls ( whom he once thought were riddled with cooties ), that his focus faltered a wee bit and good lil o’malley boy started being a teenager.

embracing his lavish lifestyle and all the popularity / opportunities it handed him on a silver platter basically, mal was ho-ing himself around, partying it up with the elite crowd, earning himself a pretty risque rep among his peers. it wasn’t until he met his first actual serious girlfriend that he did his best to tone it tf down. and it worked, for awhile. but !! of course he fucked it all up and even though what’s done is done, he has big regrets. BIG regrets. mainly bc girl went absolutely wild and took a baseball bat to the ferrari his parents had waiting for him for his 16th birthday yikes.

sO after this wild series of events, his step-mom urged the family to move back to his dad’s hometown in halloway, new hampsire. it was within reasonable travel distance for senior sinclair to fly back and forth for work, and the town seemed a lot more quaint and quiet compared to manhattan, somewhere malone could focus better on his studies. no matter how defiantly he protested, delivering as many good points to stay in new york as he possibly could to his parents, their minds were made up and so malone spent his high school years in halloway. of course, he still stirred up his fair share of drama just as he did in manhattan, and continued to party with the best of them.

after graduating high school with exemplary marks, instead of taking the opportunity to potentially thrive in the big leagues of the sports world, malone opted to stick to his roots, following in his dad’s footsteps. he got accepted into halloway university as a pre-med student, studying all the biological sciences, and would be entering his senior year come september... until shit hit the fan and all hell broke loose rip. at first, the idea of living without any sort of authority figure attempting to keep him in line was thrilling to the young man. he took full advantage of this with the rest of his fellow university students, partying it up to celebrate the end of the world. but as the days went on, malone felt ... uneasy about the false liberated situation they were in.

what had happened to everyone’s parents? his parents? why hadn’t anyone tried to contact them, or come back for them (wherever the adults went)? were they all really left to fend for themselves - had they actually been abandoned? he’s actually pretty pissed at the thought, and also saddened but that’s not something openly he shares with the others. for now, he’s cooperatively working with the group to ensure their survival until somebody - anybody - comes back to take them to wherever it is he assumes the adults are doing the same.

wanted connections ; 1) ok so uh he obviously needs his boy(s), 1 or 2 who he’s pretty dang close with. they travelled together, were each others’ wingmen at one time or another, always have each others’ backs through thick & thin. it’d be cool if their parents had been friends and so the boys kinda grew up together like brothers. 2) also on that note, maybe a fella he’s experimenting with?? bc he’s a bicurious soul, potentially bisexual, so that would be a loAD of angst huh. 3) he need him some fwb / hook up type deals, whether they be a regular occurrence or a one time thing. 4) ex gfs!! i don’t see him having like… a SHIT load of exes bc he tries to stay away from relationships but probably anywhere between 1-3?? whether they be on good terms, bad terms, lingering feelings, etc. i’m cool with whatever. 5) maybe somebody he tutored?? bc while he gives off mad Big Dick energy and tends to think with that head lmao, mal is actually very intelligent. 6) how about some enemies tho. like… idk man i’m SURE there are ppl he rubs the wrong way bc he’s kind of narcissistic lmao. or maybe they think he’s fake. or maybe there’s some sports rivalry or classic case of polar opposites or he broke ur bff’s heart?? the possibilities are endless.

“quick” life update while i wait for my ipod to charge

(do ppl even still use ipods in this day & age. whats spotify)

i never made any posts abt it but i started the new semester & im taking 2 classes, it’s funny actually bc i waited even more til the last minute than i usually do to figure out my classes & spent the 1st week of school trying to see a counselor to find out if i still needed classes and that’s a whole other story for a whole other day but long story short the answer was no but i decided to take a couple anyway

mainly because every time im not in school The Depression takes over & i just needed something to Do so im taking intermediate painting (even tho painting 1 made me want 2 die every day) and animation (even tho i’ve already decided i don’t want to be an animator????)

so heres the thing, okay, since these are classes i don’t need in order to fill any requirements or anything i had to pick them based on nothing, really, like my main reason for taking classes this semester was to give myself something to do, right. i picked painting because my friend had told me she was taking it so i was like yo i’ll just do that too bc we had fun last time & it’s a good way to stay in contact. originally that was gonna be my only class bc i knew it’d be a lot of work and time but then i talked to my school’s art counselor about transferring to another school after im graduated from here and i’d said i was maybe interested in storyboarding so we looked at schools with animation programs and i decided super last minute to just take the animation class here and Boy what a mistake

last semester i was talking on here about a computer art class i had considered taking but dropped bc it seemed kinda... shitty?? because i hated the way the teacher taught and i felt like i wasn’t gonna gain anything from the class??? well animation is taught by the same guy and hhhhhhhhh he’s so fucking unhelpful it’s such a nothing class

see i was hoping to learn some hand-drawn animation basics like timing, squash & stretch, the fucking bouncing ball assignment, shit like that, right. the teacher was like “today we’re gonna go over the 12 principles of animation” and i was like “sweet i’ve heard of that this’ll be good” & literally he brought up a list, read off most of the names, briefly described a few, and told us to google it if we wanted more info like?? holy shit dude????? thanks for nothing oh my god

i’ve been taking a lot of time practicing animating in flipnote studio on my 3ds and watching youtube videos and i’ve been learning so much more from that than anything explained by my teacher bc godddd. basically what the class boils down to is like. flash animation. so far we’ve been working in adobe illustrator and animate & i cannot stand illustrator. i know it’s a good and useful program and if i wanted to i could learn how to use it & eventually get used to it but just the way he teaches it makes me want 2 slam dunk my computer

the computer art basics class was strongly recommended to be taken before this class but tbh i don’t even think that’s the issue here because i tried to take that class and his method was the same; he does a demo on screen that you’re supposed to follow along and do with him and he explains what hes doing as he goes but he goes so fast that if u miss a step ur fucked

and it’s not just that he goes fast, it’s also that theres no understanding of the program itself, like ok u know how in math there’s all these formulas where if u just plug numbers into them it gives u the right answer? i always understood formulas better when i knew what each variable stood for & why the values were being added or multiplied together because then it made it easier to extract the information i needed from word problems and also helped me memorize the formulas themselves easier because i could make those associations between numbers and purpose. i had the groundwork of the formula, so i could apply it to all kinds of situations

this class is like, he only gives you the very specific formulas required to accomplish very specific tasks in the programs so i can’t make the connections to figure out how to perform other tasks and i get super lost every time & it’s super frustrating & i could ask for help because he comes around and helps people who need it but i sit in the back corner so he never really even looks my way so i feel like i can’t get his attention w/o speaking up or getting up to go get him & i get lost so often that it’s really just a pain to ask him every single time

i just hate when i have a problem in one of the programs & i just have absolutely no clue how to fix it or even work around it? im used to photoshop and illustrator is just so opposite that my brain doesn’t want to work with it so im. 100% floundering in this class

we have 2 assignments during the whole semester, the first was a group project where we hand draw a 3-second animation (~30 frames) and that was literally the very first thing we did in the class with no prior guidance and honestly i suspect that the only reason he assigns it is to fill the requirement for a group project (which i know is a thing bc a lot of my past teachers have talked about it being a thing) so it was literally just. a nothing project

the second assignment is our final which is a 90-second animation (~1080 frames) and we have basically the rest of the semester to work on it, so about a month and a half-ish? and all we’ve learned how to do so far is motion tweening in animate, basically. i mean we did a ball-and-string thing which was kind of different but it mostly involved a lot of copy+paste bullshit in illustrator & also like automatic shortcuts & stuff, there was really no drawing involved at all

also it’s one of those classes where everyone just kind of messes around and does their own thing like?? i saw one girl reading manga on her computer & these two dudes at my table were comparing yugioh cards & i hear like 50 thousand conversations about anime every day & i mean im not one to talk tbh but it’s just the atmosphere, it feels like u either know what ur doing or u just fuck around w/ ur friends and im in the “neither of those” category and the girl who was reading manga is in the “both” category bc every other time i’ve looked over there she’s got this amazing masterpiece on her screen that she made in illustrator & i die inside every time what the fuckkc

he showed us examples of final projects from last semester and i noticed that some of them were done traditionally or in programs that were obviously not illustrator so i asked him about it & he said it doesn’t have to be done in illustrator/animate as long as it’s 90 seconds long so Guess What i think i’m just gonna make it somewhere else lmaooo i mean i feel like it’s a missed opportunity bc i have these programs at my disposal & im not even using them but god amn. god fuckign damn

im thinking of animating it in flipnote bc that’s what i’ve been using & im pretty familiar with it by now but im not sure because there are some important things im not sure i’ll be able to accomplish with it like backgrounds (which are another requirement for the assignment) and i don’t want to back myself into a corner, especially with how little time i have to do it, so idk for sure. my other idea was to use clip studio paint but i have the pro version which only lets u use 24 frames per animation which totals out to a whopping 2 seconds so idk if i want to have to deal with that bullshit either. right now im considering making the rough animation in flipnote so i can figure out the timing & shit and then slapping it into clip studio to finalize everything (or technically i could even do that in photoshop, since im more familiar w/ it & can probably work faster there- from photoshop it’d be a matter of copying the finished frames into clip studio to export into 2-second clips & then compile those in movie maker & then bam finished animation)

so!!! it’s a lot of shit im dealing with in this class & im just like. if im doing it this way then why do i even need to show up for class. what am i even in this class for im just basically making an animation on my own time with my own resources using none of the techniques taught in the class. im only doing this animation because it’s an assignment for the class im not gaining anything from. it just seems so pointless & the only thing getting me through it is the thought that i could possibly put this in a portfolio somewhere down the line, and for that i’d want it to look nice and not rushed so im thinking that for the sake of finishing the assignment i might just use my rough animation so that i can spend more time on the “nice” version afterward

aaaanyway it’s um Late for me & i went on about this for too long but i needed to get it off my chest tbh, i’ve been thinking abt making this post for like 2 weeks so there u go. i didn’t even talk about my painting troubles good lord. if you’ve been wondering why i havent been online as much lately This is why. also bc im a huge loser and 100% of my free time has been going into watching anime bye

If you had a chance, you’d crash on the small, cheap couch in the drama room for a bit, and then you were back home and sewing and (rarely) burning your fingers on hot glue.

for my ocs that i don’t rly talk about here: i usually draw their personality, looks, ect. from a single idea. jaden came from me wanting to write a more bookish character. welton came from the idea of me wanting to make a gamer, essentially. sachiyo came from a self insert and evolved from there.

for the ocs that i put in my fics: i don’t really have concrete looks for them - you guys can imagine them however you want! sometimes i might reference them twirling hair around their finger or a tattoo or dimples or something - but for the most part, you guys can legit imagine them however. personality usually draws from what the reader needs, in a sense?

i have a Really old project called To Perdition and Back which follows a man named Carson as he and his team basically saves ppl from a sort of purgatory???

it would basically deal with his personal struggle. he had an affair with ivan, a man at his work who died during one of their expeditions - and the fact his wife is basically never there for him or his kids, which causes a bit of a strain on the family itself.

the tv show would basically follow carson + his team tbh? plus there’d be subtle hints leading toward the fact that (spoiler) ivan isn’t dead.

the plan is that the show also has representation tbh??? i’ll talk more about it if anyone’s curious.

my reaction to the pd101s2 final

(how i struggled watching the last episode)

here was my top11 going into the final, with the bold names the ones who actually made it & their rankings beside it:

GOD FUCKING DAMN IT I HAVE FEELINGS

i didn’t watch like the first hour, but i was there for the family reunion, some of the performances, and rankings. when the videos from trainees’ parents appeared, i got super touched. all the trainees looked so happy, and when the parents ACTUALLY came???? i had to stop myself from crying. it was just..... really emotional, because daehwi’s mom came from america, haknyeon’s parents from jeju-do, guanlin’s fam from taiwan!! i just!!! ah!!!!

so, rankings. before anything, i got the most scared for the impending hate some of the trainees would get for making it. for all the shit i gave haknyeon, he ended up growing on me at the very end and it was really horrible how people disliked him to such an extent of sending hate messages & being really uncalled for.... i knew there was a good chance at least one of the F class trainees would make it, and i knew that they’d get the most hate. in all the chats i saw during my streaming misadventures, that much was true.

rankings actually started happening. RANKINGS THAT WERE 80% WAITING, I HAD STOMACH PAINS.... FUCK

my heart honestly, honestly soared when baejin got called. he’s grown so much, he was actually one of my favs since the very beginning because i saw so much potential in him. to see him over the season learn to keep his head up, find friends, smile widely, i just. i was so proud. and then minhyun got called, and i had the worst feeling that only 1 pledis trainee would make it (and that turned out to be true, and i hated that).

jisung-- jisung getting called for #8 made me happier beyond belief. everyone, literally everyone was happy for him to climb onto the pyramid. HIS PARENTS WERE THERE, TOO, AND THAT WAS EVERYTHING.... guanlin, my kid, i’m proud of him, too...... he gave his speech in 3 languages and didn’t even cry, he’s gonna be the Big & Strong Maknae :’)

ACTUAL TEARS FOR PARK WOOJIN.. my dude apologized for his bad health, like? no, being healthy is the Most Important, we love you, we love you so much and daehwi exposing him and saying how he was crying so much? i love Friendship. ong seongwoo, too, when he stepped up i was so glad!!! he got there!! he!!! did!!!! that!!!!!!!! he was so excited and thankful.... ugh, he deserves the entire world tbh

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND LET’S HEAR IT FOR KIM INDIVIDUAL TRAINEE JAEHWAN LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE L E G E N D honestly???? the entire time i was watching the ranking i was hoping FOR DEAR GOD to have kim jaehwan snatch rank11 and when he got called for #4?? my dude?? DID THAT???? i gasped so loudly, i almost cried, i love him so much!!!! he dedicated his speech to those individual trainees, said that since he made it they can make it, too, aND I’M JUST... I’M NOT OVER HOW GREAT HE IS... I LOVE HIM SO MUCH I WAS SPEECHLESS I STILL AM AND WHEN DAEHWI GOT CALLED TOO,,,, SOMI STARTED SOBBING,, MAN WAS I HOLDING BACK THEM TEARS.,,,.

i realize now that i never had park jihoon on my top11 lmao but i’m okay with him as #2. i didn’t expect him to fall out of the top11. i expect him to grow on me, and also the other members bc he seems like the kind of guy who struggles a bit before being entirely comfortable with people. but the KING of CATS got that #1 spot!!!!!!! KANG DANIEL!!! GOD DANIEL!!!! THE PEACH!!!!!!!!!!! all the hugs he got!!!!!!

in all honesty, i didn’t have sungwoon in my expectations but now that i look at it, i don’t mind it!! he’s a great vocal, he’s risen so much, and i think he’s even more of a dark horse than big woojin was!!! the thing that i hated tho was that for #11, it was between dongho, jonghyun, sewoon, & sungwoon. i know everyone said jonghyun really deserved to be in the top11, from all the work that he’s done for everyone else, but idk how that would fare with jisung already in a leader-like position? imo, it would’ve been cool to see them as co-leaders but :/// idk korea.... i’m sorry for dongho, who was always my fav from nu’est, & sewoon, ponyo boy.

and for the other trainees i was rooting for but didn’t make it!!! --ahn hyungseob!!! yuehua boy, D class to A, rose dude, pick me dancer, raw egg eater, chair thrower!!!! a trainee with so much life & love.. definitely deserved more recognition for his charms and skills throughout the show :(( --yoo seonho!!!!! Big Cube Chick, piano player, humble boy, clingy teen, young child who just wants to have All The Friends!!!! seeing him grow thru pd101, like guanlin, was so nice to see. i hope he keeps training, trying to reach his dream!! he’s got so much potential!!!!! --KIM SAMUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there is so much everyone has already said for my brave son, but i.... to add in my two cents, i just want him to BELONG SOMEWHERE. he’s been training so long, and i just. i want him to be happy. lots of people are trying to say how he’ll be successful w/o being in the group, but i can’t take them seriously because... have they seen 1punch? it didn’t work out great. he’s still young, yeah, but he’s already devoted so much to training and!! he deserves so much more!!! than #18!!!!!!!!!!! wtf!!!!

(oh, also need to add, special shoutout to im youngmin because mnet forgot that he, too, is a brand new music trainee and never once panned to him when saying “brand new music trainee”!! to minki, who was one in the same!!! and even haknyeon, who i’ve decided is Nice)

in conclusion, i’m happy but sad. and what kind of name is “wanna one” i’m appalled
