Heyyy can I request the Baki cast with an s/o who once had an ass but lost it thanks to weight loss and now they feel super insecure about it?
Pls and thank youuuu (if you don’t want to then pls ignore me)
Of course! My pleasure to oblige!
Baki:
Once again, more of a chest guy, but once he finds out that you're insecure about your butt then he's going to do his best to get your confidence back up. So what if there's less there now? There's still enough for him to grab, and frankly, he thinks you're perfect just the way you are.
He'll hype you up every chance he gets. Are you wearing new pants? Oh he's going to do a double-take and tell you that your ass looks great in those.
He's still a really touchy guy, so if he walks past you he'll still grab your hips or give your butt a little smack. He's down bad for you, no matter what your features may be, because to him, you're perfect.
That being said, he is tragic with words, so at some point he might find an old picture of you and go "damn, you were so thick!" or something like that not realizing immediately that that might upset you.
Kozue:
She understands body insecurity, she used to be really insecure about her body herself, she sometimes catches herself thinking that she could be taller or curvier, or maybe her eyes could have been lighter or darker. But the second she hears that you're insecure because of something, that's it, she's stepping up.
You don't like how small your butt is? You're going with her to the gym after school to do some squats, get you a proper cake, and it has the added bonus of you two being able to spend time with Baki, who is generally a ray of sunshine.
She's going to hype you up as much as possible, lots of telling you that you're beautiful and perfect. Is that an excuse for her to grab your ass? No, but she'll use it as one. She means it in a playful and reaffirming way, of course.
Hanayama:
He doesn't get insecurity. I mean, yeah, he understands how some people wouldn't find him attractive because his scars, but is he insecure about them? No.
That being said, he gives very quiet reassurance. If you're upset or feeling down, he's there, and he's going to talk it out with you. By the end of it, you probably end up really emotional because he's trying to logic this out, and he just winds up confused as to why you're upset.
He's got money, so if you're open to the idea and think it would help with your own self-esteem, he's willing to pay for you to go get some work done. He wants you to be happy with yourself.
That being said, he's terrified to bring up the suggestion. He doesn't want you to take it the wrong way, but he doesn't want you being insecure and upset with yourself. He'll suggest other ways first, of course, but if you want results faster then he'll make the offer as gently as possible.
Chiharu:
Bruh fym you don't like your ass?? He LOVES your ass! It's an ass! Butts are great! As a matter of fact, let him give you a list of reasons why your butt is great and perfect and why you should let him see it all the time.
For real, he doesn't understand why you'd be insecure. It's not like your ass is concave, that's pretty hard to do (and definitely not healthy, your muscles are in a bad state if they're bending the opposite way bestie, he is worried then). You still have two buttcheeks, and those = ass. Ass is ass, and he loves yours.
He'll make jokes about his own ass being flat just to distract you from whatever sad train of thought you're on. We all know his ass isn't flat, none of these men have a flat ass, but the sheer absurdity of things that come out of his mouth is insanely distracting.
He'll still bite your ass if given the chance. No hesitation or remorse, he's feral, get him his rabies shots asap.
Katsumi:
He's very practical about how to solve the issue. He's on top of it, once you tell him you feel insecure he's off doing research on how to boost self esteem. At one point, he's dragging you along on his morning workouts, he has you pull cards from a positive affirmation jar, he helps you with a skincare routine, reminds you to drink more water, all of it.
He wants to help you feel more secure overall, not just about one particular thing, and he's got the resources to do so. He's going to use those resources. If he needs to call his mom and have her bring you some soup, he will, don't test him.
He doesn't really have any insecurities, Katsumi is a pretty confident man most of the time when it comes to his looks, he knows he's handsome, but he might open up about some of his deeper insecurities.
He wants you both to be able to improve on areas that you're insecure on, and he's confident that with your help, he can become a far more confident person.
Jack:
He gets body insecurity, honestly. He's proud of where he is, don't get him wrong, but he knows what it's like probably better than anyone else in this lineup, and sometimes he looks at himself and sees all of his flaws. Fortunately, when you mention your own, he knows what to do.
You wind up getting dragged to a mirror with him standing behind you, making you list out every flaw, and with every word about what you see wrong, he tells you three things he sees as beautiful. He will make you cry.
After he makes you ugly sob and ruin his sweater (he doesn't care, he can wash it, duh) he's going to start dragging you along with him to the gym. He can push it pretty hard, he knows that, but with you, it's about teaching you to gain confidence and learn healthier habits.
He's willing to take time out of his workout to help you. Trying a deadlift? He's telling you the proper form, demonstrating, coaching your form and then watching you do your first lift. Bench-pressing? He's your spotter, and he's incredibly attentive about it. He is behind you the entire time, and he wants you to know that.
Kosho:
He's really quiet the first time you tell him about your insecurity, and honestly, you'd be forgiven for thinking that he doesn't care. It's not until you finish talking and might start crying that he passes you a box of tissues, pulls you into a hug and starts talking about his own insecurities as well.
It turns into a mini-therapy session for the both of you. Sometimes all we need is to get our burdens off of our chests for a little while with someone who understands and we can trust.
He never used to have so many scars, especially the ones all over his face, and while he sees them as a badge of honor and a reminder of what can go wrong, they still change how he also views himself.
He'll make it a point for you both to say something nice about yourselves and each-other before you both turn in for the night. If he thinks you haven't said anything good about yourself, he's going to sit there and wait until you do.
Kureha:
He gets you a therapist right away. He deals with a lot all day, but he's also not able to help you delve into insecurity and address it in a healthy way. He does slip a bit into his professional self, where he'll sit up a bit straighter and use that one Calm Doctor tone.
He wants you to feel better, but he's good at healing bodies, not minds. He knows that you'll need support to get through your insecurities though, so he'll tone down the bitchiness a little bit. He knows when it's appropriate and when it isn't.
This being said, he's not afraid of being a complete jerk to get you mad at him instead of upset at yourself, even for a few minutes. He's very good at pissing people off, it's a natural talent of his.
He does take the time to appreciate every part of you. If there's an insecurity about one part, there's bound to be more about other parts, and he's going to make sure that you see yourself as perfectly as he does.
Retsu:
This man is like a warm hug coming in from the cold. He might not understand entirely, but he knows that you're not feeling well about yourself, and he'll do his best to help you feel as loved as possible. You're precious to him, and he wants you to feel good about yourself.
This man's cooking can fix *ANYTHING* I swear. You're crying about something? He made you soup, and now it's all better. Your eyes might be puffy from crying and your nose might be runny, but you have nice warm tasty soup and a blanket, your man is right there with you, telling you that everything is going to be okay.
Did I mention that this man, given the chance, could write poetry about how much he loves you? Yeah, no, this is one of the circumstances that he will do so and read it to you. It's the most flamboyant for of positive affirmation out there, but it's a good one.
If making you feel better involves worshiping you like the lovely person you are, he'll do so without any hesitation. You can rest easy feeling that he has an answer to every problem you might have.
Doppo:
He listens to your admission about not liking that part of yourself with a very serious and stern face, and then he gets up, grabs his coat and tells you to get ready and to come with him, that you're both going somewhere.
You might think that it's somewhere quiet and sweet, but no, he takes you to a funhouse with those mirrors that make everything look warped. He makes you stand in front of all of them so you two can see how silly you look, but then he makes you stand in front of a normal mirror, kisses your cheek and tells you how beautiful you look.
He tries his best to make you feel better in the goofiest, most dad-like way of them all. It might work, it might not, but he's not going to stop doing it either. Give him the chance and he'll keep doing it until you see what he's trying to do, and that is to help you understand that no matter how you see yourself, he can always see you, and he wants you to know that you're perfect.
He offers support and solutions, choosing one won't exclude the other, it's dependent on what you want and what you need to feel better.
Natsue:
This woman is a MOTHER. You tell her you're not feeling good about your body and she's on top of it. She's immediately reassuring you that that's normal, that everyone, at some point in time, doesn't like how they look in the mirror, and that you're not alone in that.
She'll try and help you come to terms with what you don't like about yourself. If it's a smaller butt than before you lost weight, she'll try and help you figure out what about that you don't like so you can figure out (together, because she's not making you do this alone) what steps you feel you need to take to feel better.
This is the kind of woman to hold your hand and tell you that you're stunning and she genuinely means it, it's obvious in the way that she holds you and looks at you, all of it.
Lots of reassuring touches, like squeezing your shoulders or holding your hand, even rubbing your back. She is here for you, just like she's there for her boys, even if they don't need the same as you do.
Shibukawa:
He's going to teach you to laugh about it. You may think "but that's not gonna help-" Au contraire, my dear reader! Laughing about your insecurities can be very healthy, because instead of making it a source of pain and discomfort, he teaches you to associate looking at yourself with joy and laughter.
Laughter itself just makes people feel a heck of a lot better, and he knows that all too well. Sometimes all we can do is laugh at something. Does it immediately help? No, not really, but time is both gentle and cruel, and you have a lot of time left to change and grow.
He'll tell you about how he used to hate how much smaller he was getting with age, how much he hated his greying hair and loosening skin, but now? This is one of the most confident men you will ever meet, because while it may suck to change, it means that you're still alive, and that's pretty good, all things considered!
He'll hold your hand every time he sees you staring at yourself in the mirror looking upset, because while he's trying to teach you to laugh and love the changes you'll go through, he knows that sometimes it pays to have someone by your side during the process.

i..don’t know if this is slightly controversial or not. while i think a lot of people are having fun on twitter MA wise..i do get a bit concerned with some of the things i see. especially with some of the things people reply or @ to MA. (A deleted an older tweet today in relation to Mile and I am mostly sure it was because people were uh, flooding his notifications/mentions (being extreme) following the whole bro / lost in translation context.) + (people constantly getting rlly weird towards Mile and accusing him of qbaiting…having a girlfriend…etc etc)
like they both enjoy interacting with fans and such but i do think people need to be careful with how they interact with MA as well. and just u know..remember boundaries too??
while we all know MA are close and have a wonderful relationship in whatever way..i do kind of worry future wise in terms of how fans may react if dating does happen with someone else / if they go without interacting for x amount of time. (like..people already get upset and i mean rlly upset when they are spotted with someone else or not attached at the hip??? people insisting that mile has a gf when he said he is single and it’s like..if you can’t trust in those words,,,if you can’t trust in that more than once, MA have shown to everyone [not that they have to anyways] that they enjoy each other, that they have a close bond, that they keep things to themselves bc they are private and etc, they have routines with their whole phone calls, etc etc etc) (also just bc they may go without interacting sometimes or aren’t spotted together..does not mean they aren’t close. social media is not everything. it’s a mere fraction of what we see. hell, some of the content we have gotten is bc a fan saw them walking together or doing something together. they just don’t share it which is their right + valid as well as the fact they don’t need to broadcast that they are texting!! hanging!!! whatever!! for their bond to be valid tbh) and that literally goes for any friendship / relationship / etc too. i genuinely don’t think fans will fare very well. they don’t right now…but i do think it’s possible it could get worse.
If it's not posted to social media, then it didn't happen, right? That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard in my life, but a lot of people buy into that narrative for some reason. Some people believe that posting things to social media validates certain friendships and relationships and it really doesn't. It has nothing to do with that, and I'm glad that MA are old enough to understand that they don't have to post every single thing they do together on social media. Frankly, it's none of our business. I know social media has made people believe that everyone has a right to your life in every way possible but they don't. No one has a right to your life.
But I did see that one tweet Apo deleted. I was slightly shocked that he ended up deleting it, but it's interesting to note that he realized what was happening at all. Which means he's definitely on Twitter more than people think. But I've been saying this since forever - they see everything. There's not a thing they probably don't see, and that's what people need to understand when they're @ing them and quote retweeting their tweets.
This is why I continuously bring up boundaries when I talk about MA, because the reason this shit keeps happening is due to people not respecting their boundaries here. Even if they were involved (I'm not saying one way or another), there's no way they're going to put that on social media because some fans have already proven they don't respect the line between them and MA. I worry about their potential future significant others too, because the fans are weird about things like that and they can't wrap their minds around the fact that they don't know them. We know Kinn and Porsche, but we don't know Mile and Apo. We only know what they allow us to see, which isn't much to begin with.
On the other hand, these fans should probably tread lightly with what they do. Mainly because there have been real life male pairings/duos that altogether stopped interacting with each other in public and on social media because the fans made things awkward for them. So if the former argument won't stop these people, then maybe they should look at it from that angle. Certain sub groups of rabid fans started real life shipping certain pairings and those pairings eventually stopped talking to each other altogether. It's the Lo*is/H*rry or D*nPh*l of it all. The act of shipping them wasn't the thing that ruined these relationships; it was the way the fans reacted and treated them due to the shipping that caused issues.

Thoughts and Reaction to Guiltrip!
Alright, so this one is a bit more of a serious one for me. But I'll be going in order of the episode so the more serious talk will be a bit further down!
First thing we get is this lovely moment:
I've already addressed it in a post, but I'll say it again here. Guiltrip is episode 11, several episodes take place before Guiltrip that we haven't seen yet, so this is awhile after Marinette and Luka broke up. We also know that Marinette has always had feelings for Adrien, even when she was with Luka. Luka always knew that fact too. None of this is new and is to be expected, obviously, when Love Square is endgame.
But! I also want to point out here that this is just a soft look. Very gentle, very common. I see people looking at each other both in real life and in other shows all the time. A look that says "I adore you". And I think it's sweet! Very subtle, but enough.
Something's wrong with Rose. We never get told (in this episode anyway) what it is, but it's a chronic illness that's a worry in Rose's life, ever since she was young.
I feel really bad for Juleka, knowing that her friend's been struggling with an illness, and whenever something happens she has to worry about it alone.
Also that really sucks when you try to cheer somebody up and make a joke, that because you were mislead about a situation you end up making things worse. Poor Marinette. :c
Adrien when he realizes he's bumped into someone (and the pink bubbles to remind us of Marinette's feelings for him):
Adrien when he realizes just who it was he bumped into!:
Scroll up now and look at how Marinette was looking at Adrien earlier that day. It's the exact same look.
Yet, something feels different from usual to me, idk. But continuing on.
Marinette gets slightly jumbled with her words, but manages to give herself a kick and says nope not now! Good for her! You can't expect to change overnight, but she's working on it.
She looks to the side, gathering her surroundings for a split second and she misses the top step.
I'd like to say that this is just a joke for the show but well, this kind of thing has happened to me a lot because I'm that much of a klutz so I feel for her here. (On Halloween I forgot that there was another step as I was walking down as I wasn't paying attention. I couldn't walk on my foot for 2 weeks. It's a serious problem, guys. Really. xDD)
Marinette had told Adrien she's concerned it was something she said that upset Juleka and Adrien tells her while sometimes she doesn't make sense, what she says is never mean.
This scene reminds me of when Ladybug's worried about something and Chat Noir's there to keep her grounded and remind her of how things really are. I very much appreciate seeing such a scene with Adrienette! Makes the Love Square much more rounded.
Also the way he stops her and says let him go talk to her to try to help the situation and any possible misunderstandings from taking place. ;-;
Can I just say... oh my gosh. He went from determined, to hearing Marinette trying to comfort her, to looking with confidence "This girl is amazing." and the whole Ladynoir vibe I'm getting from this scene makes me happy.
The thing that's unrealistic about this scene though is you expect to tell me that 8 kids went down those stairs and came up behind them and Marinette, Adrien, and Juleka didn't hear? XD
Now here's where the serious comes in.
Rose is hospitalized with an illness we don't know about, but has been a long-term thing that has Juleka really worried a lot. That must be so stressful :c
I'm going to be honest and say I never really saw Julerose romantically. Like I can see how people do, but to me, I could see that their bond was really unique. It didn't really fit completely in the "BFF" category either. But if felt like there was more to them that I didn't really understand.
I think the best example off the top of my head was during Zombizou, when Rose was going to help Chloe after she slid down Chat's stick and she went too fast for him to catch her. Juleka seemed especially worried and concerned for her. Rose never seemed to get concerned about Juleka in the same way Juleka was about Rose. Juleka's always been more protective and worried and it was always one of those things that made me go "hmm, interesting".
Now this episode finally explains why and I'm honestly super glad for it. Because this kind of a relationship is not a common one in media, especially kids media. Partially because having such serious illnesses in young people is not particularly common, and having someone who's so caring and protective of that person is even less common. And most people probably don't realize how amazing it is to have health problems and then have someone in their life who acts like Juleka does for Rose.
I had a life-threatening illness as a kid, one that still affects me greatly today. When in school, my friends knew about it without me having to say anything unfortunately, and while they didn't usually treat me differently, sometimes they were pretty ignorant and didn't understand why I wasn't "normal" like them. They asked questions that were harder ones to answer, and tended to forget my answers. I got a lot of "I know you have X problem but I still don't see why you can't..." as well as thinking I was lying if I said I wasn't well and couldn't go to a party, and that was hard to deal with, being limited in what you can do which makes you different and being judged for things out of your control.
So seeing these kids who only know something's wrong with her, but are willing to do so much to make her life better and happier, not judging her at all, wanting to take care of her no questions asked was really heart-warming for me. I only had one friend during that time that was anything close to this. I never had to explain anything to him if I didn't want to. He never asked me personal questions I didn't want to answer. And he seemed to know what he could do to make things for me easier if I was having a hard time without me ever saying so.
And this is another reminder to me that this show is aimed at kids. To show kids that they'll likely encounter someone around their age that's going through something serious like a health problem, and what that kid needs most is kindness and not to be made to feel like they're even more different from the other kids than they already feel. The way they handled that aspect of it for such a short, limited intro to it, I think they did good.
I discussed this next bit with a friend. She mentioned it first, the trope where those with chronic or serious illnesses are usually an "inspiration". With this episode, you kind of get the feeling that because Rose's been through so much, she's therefore a really positive and bubbly person and it kind of gives off the vibe that if you don't view things the way she does, then you're not doing it right. "What matters isn't the problem, but how you handle it."
While I agree with this, and that when you come out of or regularly deal with
such hard times, automatically trying to see the world better and brighter can easily happen, but it's not exactly realistic either, at least not to the extent Rose and other people the media has portrayed.
For one, I think you have to have always been more of that kind of person from the start to realistically be so positive. As my friend said and I agree, positivity is just who Rose is, she's not who she is just for the sake of a trope.
But honestly, when you've gone through something so difficult, and if life continues to throw you more difficulties on top of it, being positive so much can sometimes turn into a negative and be harmful too. When you've been through a lot, it's important to allow yourself to feel the negative too because it's part of dealing with such problems. And if you've been through a lot in life and you haven't come out of it being all sunshine and rainbows, always looking on the brighter side of things, that's perfectly okay. Life's hard and tends not to work out how we'd like, or even for the better sometimes. If being positive and hopeful after struggling is hard to do, you're not bad or wrong for feeling that way, everybody handles things differently. c:
ANYWAY, moving on to the rest of the episode!
Juleka being all irritated and worried that the class was going to expose her spilling Rose's secret xD While the situation isn't ideal, it's nice that this is the most involved she's seemed with everyone in the entire duration of the show.
But Rose knows something's up, and I love that she talks to her about it and realizes that she should've told everyone herself instead of Juleka being the only one who knew. Which has been such a burden on her.
(Oh no, what if this is a reflection of Alya knowing Marinette's Ladybug later on? I'm hoping not.)
Ugh these children and how much they care about Rose! These kids are the absolute best.
But then they kind of ruin it a little with going overboard. Which, frankly, I think is just ignorance of her situation really. I mean, we don't know what exactly is wrong with Rose. Just that she ends up in the hospital. If they knew about her condition, what causes her to get sick, what to look out for, etc, they'd be much more informed and much less likely to be frantic whenever something's not perfectly "normal" with her.
All of these kids are going to be overprotective parents someday, aren't they?
Okay so like... are Adrien and Marinette going to question at all how Ladybug and Chat Noir showed up immediately after Juleka was akumatized, and no damage had happened outside of the school for it to be known to the public? Literally the only ones that could've possibly known were the class to have shown up that fast. ??? I am confusion.
"I can't help my best friend face his father."
"No, Nino..."
Two things: The fact that THIS is what he's feeling guilty about? My poor Nino! Dx I just love him, he really doesn't get enough love and appreciation imo.
Also, um, isn't Ladybug like right by Chat? Didn't she hear that? What?
Idk but I feel like we're really missing something here. Usually we get things that are kind of hints, that make us wonder if they know right, but this? This is a bit too blaring-in-your-face, and there's two major things so close together. Really strange.
Chat about to use Cataclysm on himself. Good grief that was not expected. Chat Blanc threatened to destroy himself along with everything else. Now Chat Noir while affected with negative emotions from an akuma almost Cataclysmed himself. This show really is getting deep and dark isn't it. o.o Also is there something Adrien needs to work out with someone...?
Daizzi and Rose saying the other's so cute, ugh they're both so cute! And Pigella's costume and transformation is so adorable omg.
Okay so Pigella's power allows people to see their biggest wish, the thing that'd make them the most happy and feel positive emotions. I know some people probably think "That's it?"
Considering that Shadow Moth preys on people's negative emotions, such a power is actually extremely useful facing Shadow Moth. (And let's not forget, that while that's her power, she has the ability to fight and make a difference just from being transformed too)
BUT AWWW Juleka's wish! And her face when Pigella said it aloud. ;-;
Am I the only one wondering if Pigella may someday use her power on Shadow Moth and that's how they learn his motive?
I'm so impressed with how Rose knew how to handle everything. She knew she can't slip up with Juleka. She knew to sneak away to detransform and come back as Rose. She knew to subtly give the Miraculous back so nobody would ever know she had it. Even Chat Noir had no idea! I don't know why, I'm just so very proud of that.
"She doesn't need a Miraculous to be a superhero." She really has the characteristics of one, and I can't wait to see more of Pigella.
Also I'm really wondering. This scene here:
All the kids that are part of that friend group are there...except Marinette and Adrien, of course. Alya knows why Marinette isn't there. But is she wondering about why Adrien isn't there too?
LOL Marinette being like "I'm taking your pillow back, sorry! Gotta wait for it like everyone else." and the boys being like LE GASP.
Marinette's right, she's not fragile! The fact Rose jokes with her and makes everyone laugh, and Chloe saying "Hey, why doesn't everyone laugh when I say something like that?!"
Adrien: Because in your case, it's never a joke.
Chloe: Hm, that's true.
Which is super funny, especially how he just so casually says it.
But also it really shows again how Chloe wants to be liked. She wishes the kids would laugh when she makes comments, but it's because they're said in a serious/obnoxious way, instead of making light of something like in Rose's case here, that they don't.
I know she talked about it with Ladybug in an episode, but it again shows that that's what she'd like. All that needs to happen is someone helping her get there. Maybe Zoe and Luka will somehow help with that later on.
Anyway, this was a really great episode! I feel like some things might not make quite as much sense as they should if we got it in order, but what can you do when Gloob has to air them? Even a friend of mine who's been doing what she can to avoid spoilers, still got spoiled. She's having to delete tumblr to avoid future spoilers because people can't help themselves and tag things properly.
So thanks Gloob. :P All we wanted was the episodes in order. We've waited this long for S4, we can wait a bit longer. But they gotta make money I guess. I'm glad other countries are trying their best to keep it in order anyway. c:
Guiltrip also has some really great Adrienette moments, and covered a more serious topic which was really interesting and shows how much the show's changing. Especially with some of the choice of camera angles and movements! Like the zoom-in on the door with Adrien and Marinette, the boys LE GASP scene. Very cool artistic choices!
Looking forward to the episodes that come before this one to try to help fill in some of the gaps!
And apologies to those that frequently read these posts from me, I started writing it up late and couldn't finish so you get it the day after instead. xD
