so far, their japanese debut has been smooth sailing - well, it’s barely been a week, but their debut has been smooth sailing for the past six days, at least. the music video was received well, and their single’s doing decently on the charts. if they were only considering things from a strictly only-music perspective, then things were going great for them - but being idol’s never just about the music, though, is it?

their first interview in japan was scheduled for today, and danbi couldn’t be more nervous. for an hour or so today, they’re expected to speak only in japanese (because what were all those lessons for if not to impress with the skills and cut the costs of a translator), a feat that she’s probably the only one worried about. heart feverishly beating and throat getting drier by the minute, danbi was pacing back and forth in their dressing room as they waited to be called in. “soyoun-ah,” she calls, naturally seeking comfort in one of the members she’s closer with. “do you think the interview will go well today?”

a hole?

a hole appeared in the clothes that he was planning to wear for the upcoming filming for martine corporation. this won't do. he thought to himself. this had to be fixed. this was the perfect outfit for the concept.

he took a deep breath and texted a few of his friends. someone quickly came to his rescue. a name came friend's mind when thinking of people who could fix holes or tears in clothes @lgcsoyoun. soyoun he knew would be able to fix this in time! he opened his phone and began to text the singer.

i’ll open a fiesta

              when cherry realized that she’d literally met an idol in legacy while not at all realizing they were an idol, she felt embarrassed. cherry had never been the best at remembering names, she’d tried before to learn the names of a kpop group, though just to end up forgetting all of their names quite fast. when she joined legacy first, she had in her mind to become an idol, so with that in mind, it would make a lot of sense if she had researched the artists in legacy. she had of course not done that, and she knew of absolutely zero artists in legacy. so when she’d met an idol in legacy, she probably wouldn’t realize they’re an idol, and that’s exactly what happened. during the family concert cherry met a member of fabula, with zero knowledge of that she was an idol and what the hell fabula was. cherry then learned about fabula and she felt extremely embarrassed. 

so the girl, though very well aware of that she easily forgets names, decided to learn the artists in legacy. so she’d stayed up late one night trying to learn the names and groups of idols in legacy. she of course could not stay up that late, but she’d managed to learn the names and faces of three groups: blazing, fabula and crystallis (see a pattern?). and she’d kept repeating their faces and names in her head, now she knew she’d be capable of knowing some of the idols in legacy.

she was just going down to the grocery store, going to get some things, when a familiar songs comes on, none other than crystallis’ fiesta. at first she just bops her head to the music, then she places down her basket with her groceries, because the chorus comes on. the music isn’t very loud, but it’s loud enough for cherry to hear, and she begins dancing the dance (though she is a terrible dancer). maybe if cherry wasn’t cherry, she wouldn’t begin to dance somewhere anyone can see her, and she’d remember she’s quite easy to spot with her blonde hair. but cherry is cherry, and she doesn’t stop before she notices someone, yes, that’s astrid (or min soyoun). and there for a second she’s not sure whether to feel happy to spot the female, or to be embarrassed that her poor dancing skills have been spotted by the very person’s song she was dancing to.

but she bows, bows very deeply. “hello, i am kim cherry, i also go by kim chin, you can use whatever you prefer, i am a trainee under legacy” and she bows again.

「♆ ONCE A QUARTER ♆」

Tee was still surprised that after all this time he was still being asked to renew his contract with Vedi Vero. He was sure that they would have been sick of him by now and he kept expecting to hear that they no longer wanted him to model for their company. Yet, here he was, several months later, doing his... whatever number renewal this was. He was secretly happy that they still wanted him if he was being honest.

Plus, the shoots and events were a chance for Tee to reconnect with @lgcsoyoun​. They had been modelling together for the company since the start and, even though they really only ever interacted during these times, it was nice to catch up with the older female. It felt like a quarterly reunion between them. This event was entirely different and Tee was glad he had someone he knew with him.

what are the top 5 most used apps on your phone?

Oh, hang on, let me check. ... Upon checking, I use KakaoTalk the most. I have to keep in touch with the rest of Crystallis when we're doing separate things! Also, I use it to talk to my family back in Okcheon and in England.  Second of all, YouTube. I check how people have been reacting to our performances, and it’s easy to get sidetracked when there are many interesting videos to watch. Aaaah, I also have MelOn app, so I can listen to music either for choreography ideas or just to get me in the right mood for whatever it is I must do. Instagram is also here, because I love looking at what my favorite designers and artists post as well. Finally... At the risk of judgment, lately, I've been playing Tears of Themis. It's an interesting game where you are a lawyer who solves cases alongside four very attractive men. My gacha luck isn't the greatest though...

what is the most random note in the notes app?

A list of souvenirs I should get in each city or country in the world. When we interact with international fans, I always make it a point to ask this so I know what gifts to bring home for the other members of Crystallis, my family, and my friends. Lately, I've gotten to travel to Paris, Japan, Switzerland, and America, and having that list gave me a good idea of what to get. I make sure to add things to that list, depending on what I discover during the limited free time I have abroad. The latest thing I added was this peanut snack thing in Chiba? Someone please let me know what it's called? It looked so good, and I regret not having time to get that one.

what was the last message or call you’ve received and who was is from?

Aaahh... The last person who texted me was Daeho — sorry! I meant Type Zero's Derek. I'm not sure where he is right now, but apparently he saw a rose which reminded him of me. It was really sweet of him to say that. And no! I didn't blush when he texted that. Okay, fine. Maybe I did.  The rose itself was really beautiful, so I am flattered that it reminded him of me. What's going on between us? I'm afraid that is a secret between Dae—Derek and me for the time being. All I can admit is that he makes me smile a lot. We can gossip about Derek some other time. I promise!

what were the last 5 songs that you’ve listened to?

Lately, I’ve been looking for songs I can choreograph, and the latest one that caught my attention was BoA sunbaenim’s “Fox”. It’s a fun song, and I feel like it would be fun to work on that. And the stylist who went with me to Paris played this a lot, so hearing this takes me back to Couture Week. I have also been listening to Kim Jaehwan sunbaenim’s “I Wouldn’t Look For You.” No, it’s not because I was the love interest in the music video.  I’ve been a fan of Kim Jaehwan sunbaenim since his debut, and even if I didn’t appear in the music video, it would be on my playlist. I’ve also been listening to the Newsies soundtrack, and “Seize the Day” is my favorite song so far. “That That” by Siwoo sunbaenim is also there, for obvious reasons. Of course, our own song “Butterfly.” Please continue giving us lots of love!

Seriously? Do you really want to see how far my cringey-ness can go? Well then, don’t say I didn’t warn you when I say we will both regret this. Obviously, my recent searches were myself, Crystallis fan art, type zero derek, seong byungho newsies, and where to buy leather paint in seoul. I’d rather not talk about the two men in there for now, especially when I’m still supposed to be mad at one of them. But I will explain the fan art and the leather paint. As an ex-DBSD fan artist, I wanted to see what sort of fan art our fans would have made for us. It’s still weird being on the other side of the scale, but our fans are very talented! I almost broke my cover a few times because I wanted to compliment the artists. As for the leather paint, my mom stained one of her expensive leather bags with cheese and kimchi juice, and it’s impossible to remove the stains. So I’m going to paint over the stain once I remove the smell.

what are the top 5 most used apps on your phone?

My top used apps? Does the camera count as an app? Oh, maybe that’s more of a function, correct? Well, I do have a really cute app on my phone to add stickers and text to give it that cute early 2000’s feel, but I don’t really post those because it seems a bit silly. I definitely use my calendar app a lot; I prefer to keep a handwritten planner but I also like to have my calendar up to date, just for quick access. Let’s see, I have an audio book app so I can listen to my books when I’m too tired from schedule or I’m doing something else. What else… oh, I watch Netflix sometimes with the members when I can, and the last app.. Please don’t make fun of me. It’s called Cats&Soup. It’s a really cute game where you have cats that make soup and you can dress them up and upgrade your kitchen.

On my notes app? Oh gosh, do I truly need to answer that… this is so embarrassing… The most random thing I have I think is a list of the member’s bubble tea orders. I-I just like to know the answer to questions to requests from the managers… so sometimes I’ll write down snacks or drinks that my members like in case that information is needed. I also don’t really like to ask people ‘what do you like’ because— well, I mean, isn’t it better to be observant than forgetful? Can we please just keep this between the two of us?

what was the last message or call you’ve received and who was is from?

The last person who sent me a message was Soyoun. I honestly don’t know where she heard this, but apparently, she heard about someone who caught her boyfriend with his mistress, but turns out that the mistress was the boyfriend’s long-time girlfriend and the other girl was the actual mistress. I honestly don’t know where she heard this— a part of me is hoping it’s just gossip she just heard abroad because I can’t imagine the storm that would erupt if this was something that was happening within the company. I won't lie though… It was a rather fascinating tale.

what were the last 5 songs that you’ve listened to?

When I’m trying to relax I really enjoy listening to instrumentals of popular songs. I have a whole playlist of songs that were used in the Bridgerton series, does that count? I’m particularly fond of the arrangement by the Vitamin String Quartet. Aside from that I’ve been really enjoying Agito’s Do or Not, Apink’s I’m So Sick, SHISHAMO’s Happy End, and actually Voice from Crystallis’ last mini. By default, I believe Star also falls under that— I really do like both songs. I don’t know why exactly, but there’s something about both songs that I really enjoy. I think to date that is my favorite b-side I’ve been a part of.

Now I’m convinced you just want to embarrass me. If you really want to know, the last five things I searched were: myself, crystallis, versus kim alex, how do stoplights work, and ichigo daifuku. I know it’s not strawberry season, but I was really craving them and was hoping somehow I could find someone who made them in Seoul… I could not. I really don’t want to talk about the other three so I’ll just say that I was curious about the engineering of stoplights, and how they’re to know when to let people go. It really takes a good deal of work, apparently. May we move on to the last question, please?

here is the LIST of modeling contracts. make sure to read this post for more information about modeling in general.

contracts highlighted in light purple means that renewal is possible. renewals become impossible if writing requirements haven’t been met and when this happens, they are placed in the “past” column, which is highlighted in grey. the other reason for this is if the muse has completed a around a year with the brand, since it allows the muse to have a free modeling contract slot and take on different modeling gigs, if possible. if the contract is highlighted in either yellow or blue, there’s no action for you to take (example; Ivy Club contracts).

the morning begins quite abruptly. one moment, minji is asleep in her bed, and in the next, she's shuffling down a series of arrows to a line created by the staff to a line of people pulling papers out of a box. she passes in her first try, and although she's a bit disappointed that her question was rather easy, she's more than happy to watch the commotion that ensues afterwards.

having been one of the last retreat attendees to join the line, the second round starts shortly after. as she watches jisoo, the first member of fabula in the second round, pass his task, she can't help but notice that they're now allowed to shout out answers. the girl, although known for her kind and bubbly nature, decides to get a bit mischievous, and also perhaps a bit silly.

"hey, i have an idea." she quietly says to jisoo as the round continues. "it's a wizard!" she shouts as jinhyuk of type zero is asked what a speleologist studies. "doctor francisco margarine!" she makes up as crystallis's soyoun is asked which scientist was responsible for inventing margarine. the young idol is extremely competitive, and it's showing through her playful banter during this activity. even if they recognize her voice, she hopes that the commotion will still at least require the competitors to become confused, or at least second-guess themselves. "try it!" she says to jisoo, "it's so fun!"

PART TWO

Time was ticking, the night was vanishing and he still had so many candies left, yikes!

Cupidyoon fully intended to ship Tee (@lgctee) with another V&A member, but decided the Jintee fangirls were way too scary to mess with. Tee got his soda candy first and Cupid took his sweet time walking around before finally dropping the matching one in Jinseo (@lgcjinseo)'s palm. The patience couple, he shall call this ship, because it was sailing at the speed of molasses. At this point, Seyoon might end up with four kids before these two even get any.

Seyoon noticed some sort of tension between Minkyu (@lgcminkyu) and Jihan (@lgcjihan). He figured any tension could be good tension and sometimes a little resentment made better sex. Regular cherry flavored candies went to this couple - just make up already!

The blueberry candy in his hand was reserved for Seunghyun's match but honestly, Seyoon was struggling. Seunghyun (@shxlgc) was his childhood friend, occasional enemy and an annoying twat. Nobody really deserved Seunghyun, take that sentence however you would like. So with a grin, Cupid approached his dear Mushushu with both blueberry candies in hand. He slipped them into Seunghyun's pocket with a wink. "I am sure you would rather take care of yourself." Hey, at least he didn't say the F word out loud.

One party boy deserved another and Seyoon simply knew Hyuk (@lgchyuk) and Haneul (@lgchxneul) would have fun together. In fact, he might want to join them. For partying, of course. Pineapple flavored candy for them, Seyoon's precious dance all night ship.

Now, what about Maylin (@lgcmaylin), dear Maylin. She hated most guys, didn't she? Seyoon handed her a peppermint candy because she spicy and looked around for her perfect match. Oh, maybe Eunwoo (@lgceunwoo)! The guy was hot and pretty quiet from what Seyoon remembered. If a man didn't talk much, he had less chance of saying the wrong thing, perfect!

Seyoon was pretty certain Max (@lgcxmax) was already dating a dude, but real life boyfriends didn't count for this Halloween game. After some contemplation, he decided to match Max with Kai (@lgckai) and came up with a whole dramatic story about two hardworking trainees, constantly stuck in evaluations together. Slowly developing feelings, stealing looks across the room and...Yes, it could be fun with their grape flavored candy.

Who was left?

Seyoon tossed Rowon (@rowonlgc)'s black cherry into the air and caught it back in his hand. Oh Rowon, this one was so very tricky.

So focused on his thoughts, he nearly ran into Soyoun (@lgcsoyoun). "Ah, I am sorry." He bowed his head like a good lil trainee but slipped the idol a light pink candy he believed to be cherry-blossom flavored. One of the more unique ones he'd gotten. The matching one he'd given to Ichika (@lgcichika) onee-sama earlier. Certain fanfics may have changed his favorite ships forever. Long live Ichiastrid.

His basket was nearly empty and the last couple to be matched with Hanie (@lgchanie) and Hyun (@lgchyun). They were both young, cute and could make an adorable puppy pair with their vanilla-flavored candy. In fact, if those two ever debut together, he might ship it.

about three things rowon has learned over the course of this cruise:

one. if there’s ever a situation where he has to arm wrestle minjun, he’ll forfeit immediately. that kid’s got a grip.

two. god has his favorites, and considering the great trials they’ve been put through, it’s neither him or kyungsoo.

three. seojin is fun to fuck with.

but he can’t talk about any of that for the vlog. it’s a little too tmi, and it’s not quite the character he has crafted for the camera. …then again, sitting down and essentially making a speech isn’t either, so he takes the camera and angles it up from a lower position - just as he would when making a video call.

“so i came across this quiz the other day - y’know, that popular one where it analyzes your personality based on the kitchen utensil you pick. i chose the can opener -” ( actually, he chose the grater, and it told him that he was unnecessarily aggressive and difficult to handle, and he didn’t like that so he went back and clicked through all of the other options until he found can opener ) “- and it told me that i was an opportunist who’s always looking for new experiences.”

as he talks, he starts pacing around the room to give the impression that he’s casually chatting with a friend while going about his day.

“i’d say that’s pretty accurate. think they intended this cruise to be relaxing with a lot of down time, but i ended up packing my schedule. there was so much to do, so much to see - the disney park was fun, the water town was beautiful, the aquarium .. a little scary. felt like the fish were all glaring at me the entire time. do i look like fish food? be honest.” he narrows his eyes at the camera then -

he laughs. “i also learned some japanese rap. wanna hear? no? too bad, you’re gonna have to hear it anyway.” and so he starts to recite a few lines that he’d picked up from the j-pop workshop. ( absolutely butchers it. he hopes asami won’t ever see this - despite a questionable start, he kind of wants to keep his cool senior image. )

after his little cringe fest, he settles down against the wall and brings the camera up to eye level. “it’s been good,” he says, his voice a lot softer now. “wish we could all experience it.” this is true. when they first mentioned the cruise, he thought it was for everyone. not the case. but ah, he’s sure the others are fine. if not … well, he has souvenirs* for them. “maybe next time ~” with that, he finishes with a farewell, a finger heart, and waves off.

for @yujinlgc, a pink phone case embellished with jewels and roses, reminiscent of her nails. tucked behind the styrofoam that holds the case in shape is a polaroid of rowon making a cheek heart.

for @hyuntaelgc, a sailor rilakkuma bear to add to his ever growing collection of teddy bear items. it’ll appear on hyuntae’s desk one afternoon holding a polaroid of rowon doing a finger heart.

for @lgcparker, a t-shirt that reads birds aren’t real in japanese. once unfolded, a polaroid of rowon posing with an actual bird will fall out. what’s this development? is rowon a spy too?!

for @lgcsoyoun, a fashionable silk scarf that’s close to crystallis’s official color. there’s also a polaroid of rowon dressed in the most hideous cruise outfit ( worry not, soyoun, it’s only for the picture ).

for @lgcsomin, a chicken wing keychain. it may seem like a silly gift, but let it be known, it took him the entire two weeks to find this because he needed the perfect gift. it also comes with a polaroid of rowon eating chicken.

and lastly for @lgcyein, a crochet cupcake as pictured, but with a crown because she’s a princess ( mostly derogatory … okay, sometimes affectionate ). no polaroid included because they’re still on email basis...

can it really be crystallis' second anniversary already? jaehwa couldn't quite wrap her head around it as the group concluded their latest performance. amidst the resounding cheers of the fans, her gaze swept across the crowd, a smile tugging at her lips. she vividly recalled their first fan meet, where the turnout barely filled a concert venue, yet now, tickets sold out within a mere fifteen minutes.

observing her fellow members enthusiastically take turns hitting the mole with a hammer, jaehwa's competitive spirit began to emerge, driving her to aim for the highest score. "is there a trick to hitting them all quickly without missing?" she asked soyoun, eager to master the game.
