December 5, 2022 - Tibetan Serin (Spinus thibetanus) Found in parts of China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Bhutan, these finches live in mountain and foothill forests and shrublands. They eat seeds, especially from alders and birches, foraging on the ground under bushes, in scrub, or in the tops of trees in pairs and small groups and joining flocks of up to 200 in the winter. They probably breed from May to June but nothing else is known about their nesting behavior.
