Taking a dinner break after I finish feeding my very loud and hungry cats.
Have successfully hunted down info on how to fix crackling audio for CP77 on steamdeck. It’s a minor setting switch.
Need to hunt down some other info and then try it out in two other modes:
1. With my ps5 game pad (although I like kbm for certain forms of play)
2. With steamlink to use my iPad Pro’s nice shiny screen. (I’m starting with wireless mode and then connecting them up via an Ethernet cable to see if it is more performant).
My SD card just arrived a few minutes ago so I can set up my Linux-based dev environment on that once it is installed.
And then the rest of this experiment involves:
- Waiting all day for BG3 to download (lol— that will take so many hours) and seeing if it truly is playable
- Attempting to get CP77 mods installed and working. Not too many- just some key necessities.
- Download a few more games that are less demanding.
- Having fun!

Finally get around to trying to properly use steamlink on my tv so I can play funger Not At My Computer cuz I hate PC gaming, and uh, the steamlink app on my tv is no longer going to be usable after Nov 30th. Like. What. Is it just not gonna be updated anymore? Is it going to be forcefully uninstalled? Is it being replaced by something else? Hello? Why is every single decent thing the internet has to offer breaking itself in rapid succession?
My head hurts so much today OTL

A thought before I pass out--I wonder if theres a PC to PC version of steam link that's free
Cause like. I've noticed that while playing through steamlink on my Odin it's pretty light on the Odin
So like
I want to do a set up where my new laptop is doing the heavy lifting for gaming, and my old laptop (after repairs) can solely focus on recording and/or streaming.
I just wonder if that would work as I am imaging...

I hate sitting at my desk to play tales games so I was like hm how could I play undubbed Abyss on my tv without lugging my laptop over and sticking an HDMI cable in it,,
I wish it was as easy as burning the iso onto a disc and popping it in my ps3 but it's not ;w;
Next closest would be RetroArch w/ pcsx2 over a steamlink but I wonder if I could use my ps3 controller still bc I can get it to work when it's directly plugged in to my laptop with scp toolkit running BUT how could I accomplish it if it's running through a steamlink..
Hmmmmm best bet would probably be adding the Bluetooth driver for scp toolkit and then streaming it from my laptop perhaps? Scp toolkit is always a lot of hassle tho so I might be better off just playing with a Logitech controller as usual
+if I don't bother trying to get a ps3 controller to work I can stream it off an actual desktop computer since I wouldn't need the Bluetooth which means it'll run a little better but tbh idk how much of a difference it would make since abyss runs perfectly fine w/ pcsx2 on my laptop already
Anyway having thoughts and wishing I knew more abt ps3 homebrew stuff bc being able to burn the games I have to emulate onto discs and play them would be fun (looking at you English patches of tales games never released in English) also all the advice for burning ps2 and ps1 games to use is for if you have one of those consoles but I just have my fat 60gb sexily backwards compatible ps3 which is similar since it has the guts of a ps2 in it but not bc different disc drive and different system ;-;
Also ig if I did some custom firmware I wouldn't need to burn discs but idk physical discs are fun
Okay done talking sorry to anyone who read my entire ramble sjxks

New video! New series! I'm recording two series right now but the moment I figure out how to get past all of the ill-timed SteamLink bugs, I'll play FNAF Help Wanted 2. In the meantime, I got so much better at editing that this video took an extra hour to process uploading. Real. So please watch and enjoy! <3
