A small gift for @whistlingstarlight and @gb-diesellok!!!
As we all know, in some Non-Replica StEx productions Dinah wears red clothes instead of light blue. Here is my version of her!
This dining car is named Cherry, and she's Graceland's (London Revival Greaseball) girlfriend!
Her boots and apron are from the On Ice production, while the pinafore dress, the gloves and the ponytail are from the Tuacahn production, but I decided to make the dress striped instead of checkered, just to give her a more Classic Americana aesthetic.
Also, check out the cherry accessories and the strawberry (not cherry, this time) blonde ponytail!
I mean I'm excited and all for the revival but I also think the show in itself is so 80s-coded that the revival might just fail-
Even though Bochum has had its changes, we have to admit it's still wild and has the 80s vibes that older productions have had.
I worry that the revival will be... how do I say it...polished? I worry that they're going to focus a LOT on the spectacle and making it new and shiny, and it will fall short. I know StEx has usually been about the spectacle, and imo that hasn't always been a good thing, but I'm still worried that it will be both a spectacle and boring as hell.
I know we've gotten a few confirmations on what's changing/not changing, but I still feel like it's going to fall short. I'm not trying to daydream about it or let expectations soar, but we've all been waiting for this for quite a bit, so I think at this point it's reasonable to expect something great.
I know this is stereotypical and stuff, but I'm just worried they'd ruin it.
And I know "ruining" something is subjective because what I hate someone may love, but I'm just worried in general that it will not be as amazing as everyone has hyped it to be.
Don't hate me over this /srs
Also, and I mean this in the best way, the updated logo and the whole idea of a new revival gives me Cats 2019 vibes. I don't want to say it without more solid information about what the revival will contain, but the vibes come from "Just because you can doesn't mean you should", and I will admit that isn't a very good argument because in order for this revival to get made it had to have a decent support/following and again, we've all been waiting for this forever but idk I'm rambling
yk how it’s common for actors to be in multiple shows made by the same person? like johnny partridge with cats and stex, sierra boggess in phantom and sor, bernadette peters in itw and sunday in the park?
manifesting him as rusty in the london stex revival 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The fandom spoke! Here she is! Butch Lesbian Greaseball, or as I call her... Graceland!!! (GB is canonically an Elvis expy, and Graceland is the name of Elvis's villa in Memphis)
The codpiece has been replaced with shorts, and instead of the headband + pompadour/mullet combo, she has an hankie + rockabilly hairstyle combo.
The plot twist is that in the Overture, Control's mom has been replaced by the father; however, at the end of the play, right after "Light at the end of the tunnel", we find out that the father is actually an adult Control, while the child that oversaw the entire train race was actually Control's kid.
After the London 2024 StEx revival, can we also have an Italian tour of about 6 months, please? It must also be filmed professionally, and an album needs to be recorded.
