Here is the first thing I ever knit. It is too boring just practicing knitting stitches, so I drew a pig on a graph and translated it into yarn.

It's been a slow start, Vintersol. Not only do you start knitting where you have the most stitches, and every round takes a long time. But the 3 colors at once rounds are almost right in the beginning. (And one of those rounds were on the wrong side for me since I'm knitting it back and forth/flat cardigan style.) But now I'm past that! It feels much better! The hurdle to pick this up and knit a few rounds isn't as high any more to get over. This might also be my favorite way of using handspun. The dark brown is swedish finull mixed with a little gotland and some milksheep (black) to add depth. It's soooo soft and airy and it feels even softer next to the rough Lettlopi or Svensk Ull 3-tr. Like I don't have to spin a whole sweater's worth every time. I can use it like this for a part of a colorwork section. Any chance to use handspun right? I feel spoiled, being able to spin exactly the yarn I want to use and not having to rely on bought yarn if I don't want to. Project start post

I've just gotten in to knitting and I'm fully hooked.... In a couple of weeks i've gotten from knitting a single sock (like four years ago) to having knit a pair of socks, a hat, and a balaclava. Pictures of those are coming, i just need to block them first. My next project I'm starting today is a pair of hand warmers. More specifically these ones! The pattern is available for free, though it is written in Swedish... I am a swede, so no problem here, but for everyone else that's a heads up. I will not be making mine in the same colourway, instead I will make them in light grey, orange and petrol blue.

The projects I have made so far have involved various techniques but only in one colour each, so colourwork will be a new exciting challenge for me. I have watched countless youtube videos about colourwork and so I vaguely know what i'm doing,,,,, I think????

Anyway, I'm super excited about this project and I'll be starting as soon as I finish this post

my doctor just put me on 800mg for inflammation and its making me very drwosy so im sending this from before i take my first pill please im stuck in here pLEASE– Oh hey, ibuprofen!

#i have a ganglion cyst and they drained it. which is just stickn a big ol needle into my wrist and into the cyst #and then pullin on the syringe #hurt like hell i hadnt had breakfast i felt like i was gonna pass out #so its medication for the early onset arthritis that may b involved and the inflammation which can fill the cyst back up #But im trying to make plans and its really really hard to b the scheduler (its my turn) when i canot even. think
