Wait, those aren't cryptids! Nope, they're merch for a podcast that I'm a part of, Stormwood and Associates. A live play podcast set in an urban fantasy landscape, its story centers around Raz Stormwood, a private eye who has come to the west coast to set up a new office and finds herself trying to stop a world-ending prophecy. There are twists, turns, and too many references to the Fast and Furious franchise. Listen to the story on any podcatcher, and pick up these official 2 1/4 inch pinback buttons/can badges at

Looking to support queer created media this pride month? Why not try listening to a queer hosted Actual Play podcast? Or heck, why not try two of them!
The Nerd & Tie Podcast Network is home to both "Let's Be Legendary" and "Stormwood & Associates."
Let's Be Legendary is a D&D 5th Ed podcast which takes place in a Weird West setting where Talia and Seline discover what it means to be in a relationship, all the while seeking revenge and learning the truth of their pasts.

Stormwood & Associates uses Super Awesome Action Heroes (a roleplaying system based on action movies) with the Fantasy Rules expansion. The show follows members of the titular Stormwood & Associates - a private investigation, security, and federally licensed magic users agency.

There is no filter that can make up for the fact that bill is almost invisibly pale in person and darker than nk on screen even though nk's outfit is BLACK on the actual page ugh ugh ugh
Paraphrase is super paraphrased. I am enjoying the heck out of Stormwood and Associates at my own pace, even though I think it is literally impossible for me to catch up :)

Stormwood & Associates is making me try to get my friends into playing the SAAH system!
My genius trick to get people to play the dumb roleplaying system I invented in college is working! 😆

The Stormwood team, along with the “sexy car thieves” (as Babbitt put it), have decided to team up so they can recover the Mystic Mustang and the thieves’ kidnapped crew member Juan from tech billionaire Damien Cole. So they’re going to do the one thing they can think of… drive a bunch of cars into Cole’s company headquarters.
This is a good plan.
“Stormwood & Associates” uses the RPG system Super Awesome Action Heroes Second Edition with the optional Fantasy expansion.

Well, since you mentioned that one of these days you'd get a Stormwood ask...
I'm really enjoying the podcast! I binged all the way from the start of The Forgotten to the end of Campaign One in the past three weeks because the story really pulled me in.
The twist in the Harmed arc absolutely floored me, and I'm incredibly impressed that you guys managed to incorporate so many of the side-arcs into the main story and build upon them further.
You guys have created a wonderful world, cast of characters and story, and I'm excited to catch up on campaign 2!
Keeping that twist in the Harmed arc a secret was so hard, because I had to sit on it and not tell anyone for so long. Also, getting the players to take the bait to trigger it...
I'd listen to Seasons 1 and 2 of The Meatgrinder before starting campaign 2 (you already know the main events from season 1 since it's a prequel to Campaign one of Stormwood -- and season 3 of the Meatgrinder is more of a side story without any meta-plot implications). Like you COULD skip it, but I think it makes things a bit more fun.
The fun part of Stormwood for me is that I plot the "meta plot" alone, and the players have no idea if an arc I GM will be important to the main plot or not. I also steal from their worldbuilding when they GM and incorporate it in without letting them know which of the things they introduce will become important.
Also during campaign two half the cast came out, and I had to rerecord the credits TWICE because of it. 😆

I got access to DALL-E 2, so of course the first thing I did was spend half the day trying to generate photo realistic versions of our characters from campaign 2 of Stormwood & Associates.
I had to do some minor editing for Obie after, just because it's actually incredibly difficult to generate an orc child with that AI's model.
It's super weird to look at realistic faces for the imaginary people you and your friends play in a podcast... wow...

Stormwood & Associates: C2E74. Pirate Signal (Space Operetta Part 2)
The team's in space. That's, that's pretty much it. They're on a space ship. The space ship is in space. There are two halflings on the space ship, who were pretty surprised to see our heroes (and Amy's bird). But, like, they're in space. That's the whole deal. Stormwood & Associates: C2E73. Trek or Wars? (Space Operetta Part 1)
The team enters a new universe, and find themselves in a large storage room with metal walls and a metal floor. Is it a bunker? Is it a ship? Is it a space ship? Who knows. I guess our heroes will find out. "Stormwood & Associates" uses the RPG system Super Awesome Action Heroes Second Edition with the optional Fantasy expansion and Advanced Combat Rules. Stormwood & Associates: C2E61. Time and Time Again (Clear Skies Part 1)
The team lands in a (thankfully) fairly normal world, but unfortunately going the wrong way down a freeway. While here the truth behind a familiar face may have some massive consequences, and D's a little more famous than she wants to be. Stormwood & Associates: C2E55. Bird Fight (Hearts and Counterparts Part 3)
In a world not unlike the Regency period in England, our team find themselves in a strange position of Liz taking the place of her missing counterpart. As D, Liz and Obie spend time at an awkward party, Amy has set off in search of the missing "local version" of Liz. And Amy's about to learn that the locals aren't friendly.
