In Super Mario Sunshine, Swipin' Stu enemies are able to steal Mario's hat, whereupon they also gain a copy of his mustache. The model for the hat and mustache is saved in the files in such a way that it can also be applied to other kinds of Stu enemies, even though it is only used by the Swipin' Stus.

Only on the weekends, been far too busy as of late. My current kin list is Ukiki from Super Mario 64, Klepto from Super Mario 64, Swipin' Stu from Super Mario Sunshine, and Klepto again from Super Mario Odyssey. I just really want Mario's hat, i think it'd be tasty.

In Super Mario Sunshine, Pinna Park Beach contains flying enemies called Swipin’ Stus, which attack Mario by Ground Pounding. If Yoshi’s juice is used to turn one Swipin’ Stu into a platform and then another Swipin’ Stu attacks Mario on Yoshi while underneath that platform (as seen in the top image), Mario will be stuck in the floor (bottom image).

Since the Swipin’ Stu’s attack also steals Mario’s hat, Mario will also take damage from sunstroke, causing him to slowly lose health (note Mario flashing red). Since Mario is unable to free himself from the ground, he will die of sunstroke around one minute after this glitch occurs.
