Highlights of Masatomo Nakazawa from Yume Kuro game first anniversary live broadcast

His hair grew very fast within one month and he styled it in wavy pattern. He seemed pretty good looking that day. (So proud of my man, oh god!) 💖

Eye masks made him look like Kamen Rider hero as defined by the veteran seiyuu Eiji Takemoto.

While posing for a group photo with the cake, he made funny faces LOL

Eiji Takemoto grew fond of Masatomo Nakazawa for being so kind and helpful to him during the live. Takemoto, being the senior most seiyuu on set, seemed to struggle with new game feature terms, funny jokes made by younger people, and unpacking eye mask. Masatomo ensured everytime that senpai was comfortable and enjoying the fun. He assisted him, explained him in moments where Takemoto needed help. For the game presents corner, Masatomo became the casual negotiator to establish a 'deal' between Takemoto and the game producer. With his special help, Takemoto was able to persuade the game producer to accept his donated flashy suit jacket for the to be lucky winner of Yume Kuro upon 3000 gem stones or something.

Going back home, Takemoto tweeted mentioning Masatomo twice that he was very grateful to him for helping the 'obaachan' Takemoto for the day. He wants Masatomo to use that negotiating skill in the next Yume Kuro lives. He was highly impressed of Masatomo's gesture.

In the game, Masatomo voiced as Aoi and Takemoto voiced as Adel.

Great Ace Attorney Reading Drama Announced

Lots of exciting Great Ace Attorney stage news lately!

A new drama based on the story of The Great Ace Attorney, including new content from Shu Takumi, will be performed on Saturday August 12 2023 at the J:COM Hall Hachioji in Japan.

This drama will be read aloud by voice actors reprising their roles from the series, including Hiro Shimono (Ryunosuke Naruhodo), Kana Hanazawa (Susato Mikotoba), Shinji Kawada (Herlock Sholmes), and Misaki Kuno (Iris Wilson). In addition, Takayuki Kondo (voice of Phoenix Wright) and Eiji Takemoto (voice of Miles Edgeworth) will be special guests in a talk corner segment with the cast.

There will be a daytime (starting at 14:00 JST) and nighttime (starting at 18:00 JST) performance, and tickets are open now starting at 8800 yen. You can find more information on the performance including where to buy tickets on the website https://daigyakuten-reading.com/ , along with following the official twitter gyakuten_event.

As of right now, there seems to be no indication that there will be a recording of the drama or an online stream. I will try to update in reblogs if more information is available, and as I’m relying on machine translation, any corrections or additional information would be appreciated.

Tales of Festival 2015 - 2020

The tales of series’ festival events are the most chaotic experience I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying.  The voice acting cast are ridiculously talented and entertaining to watch, especially the recurring festival guest have REALLY GOOD chemistry with each other, and are just fucking trolls with all of their ad libs.  

Personally I think the skit ad libs peaked in 2019 especially having this recurring cast together: Onosaka Masaya (ToS Zelos), Konishi Katsuyuki (ToS Lloyd), Suzuki Chihiro (ToA Luke), Toriumi Kousuke (ToV Yuri), Takemoto Eiji (ToV Raven), Sakurai Takehiro (ToG Asbel) and Kimura Ryouhei (ToZ Sorey). 

I’ve only watched 2015 - 2020 so far (mostly because I’m focused on looking for the cast of TOB and TOZ), and I’m really looking forward to the 2021 festival coming in November 20-21, 2021. 

The events are so good I had to write down my personal favourite and highlights to share, hoping more people can be exposed to the chaotic energy the voice cast brings to a brilliant series.  If I have time, I may actually do a highlight post of each year later. 

Favourite ToF running gags:

All new guest that appears at a festival event talks about how they’ve heard rumors that the festival skit never goes as planned/rehearsed, and now they’ve experienced themselves they know it’s true.  (Because of all the fucking ad libs. LMAO)

Oosaka Ryouta (ToZ Mikleo) being commented on his sense of fashion and state of attire because of his dress code mistake in 2015. LMAO

Fukuen Misato (ToZ Edna) conning other cast members into doing their interpretation of the Normin Dance (including Eizen in 2020), to the point the gag becomes an actual song she sings for the Tales of HR shorts. lol

Kimura Ryouhei (ToZ Sorey) the cameraman! He keeps his cellphone during the show and consistently takes selfie with other cast member in the middle of a skit, and photos or videos of other cast. (seriously the guy’s phone/cloud account is a treasure trove.)

Tsuda Kenjirou (ToZ & ToB Zaveid) and  “ ナマステ！押忍！” (Namasute Osu!”) - the result of the telephone game in 2018. It got passed on and even became a banner piece in the 2020 stage background. LMAO

Satou Rina (ToB Velvet) and Onosaka Masaya (ToS Zelos)’s recurring gag on the absence of Kishio Daisuke (ToB Rokurou) at the 2017 - present Tales of Festival as a result of his chaotic ad libs in the 2016 skit.

Skit specific: Raven and Zelos’ thirst for the ladies. It really peaked in the 2019 skit when they both ad-libed flirting with Shitaya Noriko (ToZ Lailah) and both pushed Sorey away when Sorey tried to protect Lailah.

Overall Favorite Moment - Earth Sibling References:

References of Eizen and Edna’s relationship, which first appears in the skit when Velvet first meets Edna in 2017. Edna’s VA kept saying in cast free talks wanting to co-cast with Morikawa Toshiyuki (ToB Eizen) at a ToF event to do a Earth Sibling reunion, which did finally happen in the 2020 skit!!!! Sadly due to COVID, it was a live broadcast and everyone understandably had to stand with panels between so their acting options are limited, otherwise it would have been so much more epic and we definitely would have head the arena audience scream their lungs out at the scene, but it was still so FUCKING GOOD. I really hope they can keep having the Earth Siblings at events together.  Here’s me hoping really hard for November since I don’t think they’ve announces the guest list yet. 

Side note I also really appreciated Velvet and Sorey’s meeting in the skit in 2017, where Velvet first held reservation with Sorey’s status as a Shepherd.   I really hope we will eventually get Laphicet and Lailah’s VA at the same ToF event and maybe the skit could have Lailah show recognition of Laphicet as Maotelus.

Ace Attorney 20th Anniversary Concert Ticket Sales Open

Heyyy so the 20th anniversary concert now has streaming tickets open! You can find the official website here. The concert is on May 7th 2022; specific start times to your location (or closer to it) can be found on the website. It is being held in-person in Japan, with overseas livestreaming. And if waking up at an awful early time in the morning is not your thing, or you can’t attend live for any reason, it’ll be available as a video on demand to those who purchase tickets for about a week.

The MC for the concert will be Eiji Takemoto, the voice of Miles Edgeworth, with talk guests Takayuki Kondo and KENN, voices of Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice respectively. If this concert is anything like the one streamed last year, this section will not have subtitles. (Though, who knows.)

Ace Attorney Series - Charmingly Captivating Suite is something I do not recall from other concerts, but I believe it was alternatively translated as the “Beauties Suite” and contains music of many of the female characters, from the 2019 concert. (Turnabout Sisters, Child of Magic, With Pearly, Distant Traces of Beauty, Landscape Painters in Sound, Adventures Across the Seven Seas (Orla from DD), Unyielding Medium Princess (Rayfa) Let's Do This! (Athena)).

Ace Attorney Series - Revolutions and Successors Suite I believe is DD and SOJ music.

It’s also important to note the Great Trials of Resolve Suite contains massive spoilers for tgaa: resolve. Can’t go into any more detail than that, but do not listen to it if you have not finished that game. Just trust me on this :/

That aside, I imagine there will be images from the games displayed on screen while this is going on, so tread carefully.
