#that doesnt mean I don't stand with Palestine

I'm sorry for the spamming, but I needed this rant to be separated from wishing you well lmao
(it's about an important matter, bear with me pls)
(or just ignore this if you'd prefer, i just needed to get this off my chest, sorry)
So throughout the past few weeks I've focused on informing myself on whats happening in Gaza, and doing my best to inform friends and family - that being through conversations, watching videos on the matter, reposting resources for other to understand, etc.
BUT IT SEEM LIKE MY FUCKING TRAD WIFE CONSERVATIVE AUNT DOESNT GET THE DAMN MESSAGE (as expected)
I've been extremely active on my insta stories to reach as much people as possible (and i think i've done a good job in showing why we should be supporting the Palestinians who are being attacked in Gaza and around the world). BUT THIS WOMAN JUST SENT ME A FUCKING REEL FROM THE IDF CONDEMNING HAMAS????? LIKE BITCH???? i NEVER ONCE said i stand with Hamas, nor have I ever condoned their actions. And she comes at me as if i was doing just that since i stand with Palestine.
Anyway, everyone, please make sure to inform yourselves in every way possible before anything. Listen to Palestinian voices so you can understand about the absurdities that are happening in Gaza right now and have been happening for years. And make sure that the people around you, who a lot of times dont have any impression of whats happening, also get the education that they need about the subject <333
i think its important that you're trying to educate your family and friends, and I'm sorry your aunt's got her head in her ass about this
i think if the rest of your family understands and she's the black sheep in this, eventually the pressure might get to her
glad to hear that everyone's talking about this more and more-- may the pressure be put on the politicians to stop acting like war-mongering cock suckers
also, something that at least is happening in the us-- politically blue politicians and democrats are starting to panic because they've never seen this great of a divide between the people and their representatives. i mean that reps are starting to change their minds abt is.ra*l because people are talking about it; so no matter what, don't stop
glad to hear from you again ithil :)

I also need to clear some stuff about boycotting again.
So whats boycotting?
withdraw from commercial or social relations with (a country, organization, or person) as a form of protest.
Why do we boycott certain things?
Let's take this Israel-Palestine conflict for example. In this one sided war, many nations, celebrities, famous brands are in support of Israel. This is not just saying "I stand beside Israel". They have a huge huge impact of this genocide.
***Many nations who support Israel are helping them in international congress. United Nation is helpless because the USA is in support of Israel. Those nations help with military support and supply war machines.
***useless celebrities, when they write a long post on social media sugar coating Israel may brain wash thousands. We all look upto celebrities right? There's been many proffs that Israel has been paying many celebrities to support them.
***famous brands: whether clothe brand of food brand, they have been supplying their product to Israel and of course they are being commissioned. For example Starbucks.
Now, why do we boycott?
Since boycotting is a form of protest, if you unfollow a certain celebrity or stop buying from a certain store they'd be forced not to support the wrong party. If they don't already support the right side, we might as well need to force it down their throat.
NOTE: IM NOT SPREADING HATRED TOWARDS ANY PARTICULAR NATION, CELEBRITY OR BRAND ( heck I am). BOYCOTTING DOESNT MEAN YOU HAVE TO HATE THEM. IGNORE THEY EXIST FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND THEYLL COME AROUND.
Again. Dont boycott someone who didn't do anything. You should be sure about that person of brand being absolutely d***. So here's a list I made to help you guys out. It will work if we stand our ground.
Products:
Hp. Siemens. AXA( insurance) Puma. SodaStream. Ahava. Sabra. McDonalds. Apple. American eagle.
Celebrities (I'm sure half of them don't even know the full story, now they will)
Gal gadot. Dwayne johnson. Sonam kapoor. Kangana ranaut. Natalia portman. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Courtney cox. Justin beiber. Josh gad. Florence pugh. Liev Schreiber. Katy perry. Mark ruffalo. Jerry Seinfeld. LeBron james. Tom brady. U2. Guy oseary. Amy Schumer. Barbra Streisand. Amar’e Stoudemire. Sarah Silverman. Bar Refaeli. Ronen Rubinstein. Madonna. Floyd Mayweather. Andy cohen. Jamie lee. Debra messing. Sarah silverman. Kris jenner. Mindy kaling. Meghan McCain and many more
Nations: well you know them. I dont need to say it

it pisses me off when people say that a boycott isnt going to do anything - so what??? youre telling everyone you dont give a shit about trying to make a difference when you disregard a boycott. at the end of the day, maybe a boycott does nothing, maybe it does something, but you are showing other people your character if you dont even wanna try. and that says a lot to me. like if you cant stop streaming your fav artists songs and buying their albums for a little bit for a CHANCE that it'll make a difference...your values are gross and you're spineless. talking about how you support palenstine doesnt mean shit if you dont put in effort to make a change, and honestly, not listening to some music on spotify for a little bit is NOT that big of a sacrifice. there are many pro palestine artists you can seek out and listen to. you can pirate. you can use youtube downloaders. there are so many options
sorry for ranting in your inbox. you're one of the few people in the tumblr kpop fandom i respect right now. also thank you for all your posts and the work youve been doing on here
yeah truly you are so right! no one can guarantee this boycott can work but it's not an excuse to not do anything! personally, i haven't been the same ever since i found out the big influence zionists have in the industry unfortunately and it did change everything for me and it made me want to make a difference! i don't want to buy albums and stream knowing that money will end up in these people's hands and it's truly just about being against their presence! they don't deserve to be anywhere for that matter and they are ruining music and directly and indirectly funding a genocide so if that information doesn't move a bit and doesn't make you want to do something to change then... something is wrong with you i am sorry. but it's like you said, at the end of the day, a lot of people are showing where their morals truly lie and what type of people they really are. it's not that i was expecting much from kpop stans but it's truly disheartening how some people indeed can't stand for anything and this is truly the bare minimum you can do if you can't do this and participate and at least have this conversation with us then... idk what to say

Palestinians have a strong faith in God even under the circumstances they are currently going through. They wouldnt want the support of an arrogant know it all atheist like you who mocks God and people of faith (like them) . Nor do they care for the delusions of people who invent a new gender every 5 minutes and call themselves a hundreds of pronouns. They have too much common sense for that, as do most traditional societies. Like seriously, how can you stand with palestinians but in the same time you stand against everything that palestinians hold dear to their heart such as : Faith in God, Family Values, Culture, Tradition?! They are literally fighting and dying for these values as well as for the liberation of their land, yet you mock these values! Do you think palestinians would be ok with you mocking religion (*ANY* religion)? Do you think palestinians would be ok with you making fun of believers, and especially christians? Standing with palestinians doesnt mean only saying "Free Palestine", it also means supporting the principles that are sacred to palestinians such as Faith, Family Values and Marriage. Dont call yourself a supporter of Palestine as long as you make fun of people who believe in GOD, knowing that Palestinians are the biggest Believers of God. You hipocrite, we dont want your support. We are not that desperate. Free Palestine, but also Free the World from Atheism and its materialistic ideology and degeneracy that is destroying the world!
I don't believe I've ever openly mocked any faith on this account, nor would I intentionally mock any faith in any manner, whether online or otherwise. Several of my loved ones are Christians, and a few are of other faiths too. I care about family and community greatly, which was influenced by me having a Catholic education for seven years of my life. I don't believe that I'm delusional in being who I am. I can and will uphold my belief system and still fight for a free Palestine. Why? Because I don't have to share the same belief system as the majority of people in a country to want them to be free and happy. I will not compromise who I am in the process, because one doesn't threaten the other.
I will not be discussing this ask further.
Free Palestine! 🇵🇸

It DOESNT MATTER if the Israelis' distant ancestors really came from Palestine
Leaving aside that "indigenous" in a political sense tends to mean "current victim of colonialism or post-colonial structures" and not "being originally from somewhere" (we don't usually call the French "indigenous") consider the following:
All Slavic people & their languages are thought to have originated in what is now Ukraine somewhere in the late middle ages and spread from there to everywhere they live today. Does that mean I can kick a Ukranian out of his house because I have a czech grandpa?
All the Bantu peoples are thought to have originated roughly in what is today Cameroon. Can any west or central African speaking a Bantu language kick out someone in Cameroon from their house? Or even a black person from the USA or the Caribbean?
All the Germanic Peoples originated from Jutland peninsula (what is today Denmark & some bits of Northern Germany.) - can a guy in England, Austria or the USA kick a Dane out of his house?
The people of Australia, Canada, the eastern USA & to a lesser extent South Africa (where many alre also descended from Netherlanders) are all descended from the English. Can they all come to England & kick an English farmer out of his house?
(they can, however, still in practice sometimes get an unfair advantage over Hawaiians & Puerto Ricans, or put a pipeline or mine through a Native American or Australian Aboriginal's home, or expropriate a black person to build a highway... at least there its not based on directly racist laws, in theory a rich POC could do it too.But in practice the result still often screws locals for short-sighted business ventures, so there is some stuff to be fixed still...)
The Romance languages all descend from Latin. Can any Italian kick ppl out out of everything that used to be Roman, including France, England and Bavaria?
Can any Greek kick someone out out of everything that used to be the Byzantine Empire?
Spain belonged to the Islamic empire for a long time. Can a Moroccan go kick a Spanish person out of his house?
Spain does give Spanish nationality to south american spaniards, (to attract skilled workers & fix low population growth), which I know cause my dad insisted on getting it due to patriotic feeling, but while he could buy a house there & vote, he cannot kick anyone out. Not even out of the exact village where his ancestors lived just 100 years ago.
Heck, the czech grandpa I mentioned? His family was expropriated when Communism took over. After communism, my mom & her siblings got an offer to get their farm/house back, but ONLY if they find the ppl currently living in the house an equivalent place.
It turns out there was a family of Romani ppl living there & it would be hard to find them a big house due to housing discrimination - my mom & her siblings just decided to let them keep the house since they were actually using it & none of us was planning to move to rural czechia. It seemed mean to kick out ppl who are being discriminated & had themselves lived there for decades now, after all we have our own places. (and my mom has, like, a painting of the town's church hanging in her living room & remembers living there as a little girl, & has stories about it, including some lewd jokes about the shape of the mountains.)
They should probably do a similar program in Palestine, where Palestinian families can get still-standing houses back or $$ for rebuilding destroyed villages, but the current inhabitants get provided for. Though probably the state should have to find them a new place, not impoverished Palestinians themselves. In the communist expropriation example, chances are the original owner was richer than the current one, which is different in Palestine.
Let us also consider the difference between conquest & immigration.
Conquest means you disrupt the social order & impose your own rules. This is clearly what was done in Palestine.
Immigration is different - I'm all for the right to immigrate & for ppl to live where they want, but immigrating means you fold yourself into an existing society & follow the laws there. (many ppl explicitly immigrate to places where they like the laws more)
The problem is not jewish ppl living in Palestine because they want to live in the land of their distant ancestors, but rather taking over & oppressing everyone else.
No one would mind my dad going to live in Spain where his ancestors lived. Indeed they would probably rejoice, he is a skilled worker & pays lots of tax. But if he came with an army, rebranded the country "new Cuba", demanded that everyone speak Latin American Spanish & started oppressing the local farmers, that would be a very different issue.
Though of course I wonder how many ppl care more about special treatment & free stuff than they do about religion or "connection to the land". Many might end up going to some gated community in the USA if they have to be equal citizens with no special privileges.

Hi major Gaylor lurked here-
The main two things I really dislike about Gaylors are like, when they get annoyed with Taylor for 'hiding behind press releases' and that kinda thing ('you're gay and that's FINAL'). That NYT article speculates that if Taylor was out then another gay country artist wouldnt have attempted suicide (that country artist was like what the fuck). I have seen zero gaylors even acknowledge that passage. It's all 'that article is so right!' Like theres a lot of blame placed on her for such weird reasons. Like whenever she says gaylors make her uncomfortable, they get aggressive
The other thing is the assumption that if you're not a gaylor it's because you're straight. Actually theres a lot of homophobia in the way they talk- a lot of 'her ex bf was a beard he looks gay in this photo', and 'taylor in a baseball cap is so dykey' which it's just really uncomfortable?
Plus their reading comprehension tends to be really bad and that's just annoying. Like the reaches. And theres so much aggression to any dissenters, even other gaylors who don't 100% agree with a bad lyric reading get dragged
So yeah maybe think twice about calling yourself a gaylor ally? (Plus Karlie Kloss bought iD magazine and immediately deleted the pro-Palestine post... shes not a great person). Theres a distinction between being like 'it's not inherently bad to think Taylor is gay in theory' (even though she has specified shes not in the community and I think it's a bit :/ to accuse a woman of lying about her sex life) and 'gaylors are fine! I stand with them!'
(And yeah they basically never post about other artists. It's pretty weird)
Plus I think it's important we call out Taylor's shitty allyship. And that doesnt happen if we're busy being like 'ok but she might be gay so 💖'.
ok i think u misunderstood what i was saying. my point was that ppl scrutinize gaylors in a way that they don’t for fans who talk abt her the exact same way but in the context of her heterosexual relationships. if u think that there aren’t straight tswift fans who talk abt her exactly like that but in the context of her being straight then u r kidding urself. i dont agree w what they’re saying bc i dont think she’s gay and i esp think many of them go too far but why dont her straight fans who did the same take the same ridicule that gaylors do? there is an extra layer of DARING to suggest that a woman may be gay that i have an issue w. at the end of the day i think these celebrities are too thin skinned at the gay allegations anyway like who cares 🙄 why is it such a bad thing for ppl to think u might be gay? why do u have to make some type of statement abt it? if ur not gay then just go on w ur life the gay allegations aren’t holding u at gunpoint. tswift is so famous it’s not like the gay rumors circulate to her christian conservative fans or impact her bank account or perception over all. ok some teenagers on the internet call her a lesbian and some go too far in their theories. but like i think it’s more of a her issue to be uncomfortable that someone calls her gay than it is an issue of anyone to dare suggest maybe this celebrity is gay? i don’t think ppl should be tweeting celebrities being like come out as gay or kys or whatever (and this goes esp for young celebrities but i don’t think young celebrities should b interacting w fans period) but i think our homophobic society in general is what makes ppl so outraged when ppl speculate a celebrity might be gay. and i get the whole like oh what if they’re closeted and don’t want to come out thing which like. ok. they don’t have to come out though? even if ppl r speculating it that doesn’t mean it’s true and the default perception will always be that someone is straight if they refuse to come out no matter what their fans may say online. do u know how many celebrities in the past when being gay would have absolutely destroyed their careers actually WERE gay and simply just ignored the allegations and lived their lives not coming out 😭 r fans who say maybe she’s a lesbian w their masterposts of proof more invasive than ones that post proof that she’s married or pregnant or secretly has 6 kids? i’m not really interested in the ethics of gaylorism more so the way that it is treated solely bc of the speculation of her being gay vs fans who speculate literally anything else abt her or any other celebrity……i saw a post abt some guy who had gay allegations who said smth like i never felt the need to address it bc they’re not saying anything offensive abt me. like exactly? why do u care so much if ppl perceive u as gay? who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also ur note on them not talking abt any other artists um? perhaps bc they r tswift blogs 😭 do u think the only show ive ever watched is sg just bc i run a sg tumblr blog? i think thats a weird critique to have is all……
also idc abt celebrities being activists i think that’s a weird thing to expect from random ppl who sing or act wtf does she know abt politics she’s probably never even voted 😭 so calling her out for her shitty allyship is neither here nor there for me…..again i’m not a fan of hers i feel nothing for her honestly i just think ppl are overly critical of women both her and her fans. but that’s all.
ok i’m sorry last thing but u saying them saying she looks dykey in a baseball cap is homophobic is so 😭 are u a lesbian? bc that is not homophobic lmfao? 😭
anyway i just stand w gaylors as a concept i’m not writing off on everything they’ve ever said nor am agreeing w them. peace and love xo
