Hate is a great motivator. All political parties have used it to get out the vote. Generally, those who seek elected office shape information in a way that helps a certain voting block hate their opponent. Thats how we elect people in America. That is a sad reality we just have to accept in order to fix it. Hope doesnt fix it.

Whats unique and new about negative politics in the post-Obama era is that we have this thing called the Internet and dare I acknowledge itSocial Media. ;Social media has completely isolated the Republican Party base. The Internet and social media have created hard-edged, isolated buckets of information where facts dont matteragreement;and emotion matter. For republicans, agreement with their own bias is considered fact, whereas disagreement is a lie they literally transform reality to support their own opinion: the Post-Truth Era. In order to maintain that alternate reality, they have to hate those who dont agree, otherwise their reality bubble starts to break apart.

This is the case on both sides of the aisle, but the hardliners have taken it to a new level, which is why they seem to hate everything. Theyre even taught to hate things that help them like the ACA, unions, and public education.

Social media and 1000 cable channels dont increase the information we receive they focus the information and repeat it 1000 times more often. Anything can become the truth when its repeated enough times.

The Big Lie Is Gop Gospel

Cheney is not alone in suffering consequences for challenging Trumps allegations.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who defended the states counting process against Trumps attempts to interfere with it, was stripped of his voting power on the State Election Board as part of Georgias new voting restrictions law.

In a special House election in Texas held on in early May, the Trump-critical Republican in the race Michael Wood got 3 percent of the vote.

In January, Michigan Republicans removed Aaron van Langevelde, a GOP attorney who broke with the party to certify Bidens victory in Michigan, from his post on the states Board of State Canvassers.

At the Utah Republican Partys convention this weekend, Sen. Mitt Romney perhaps the GOPs leading Trump critic was booed and called a traitor.

At the same time, Republicans who have embraced falsehoods about the election have been elevated.

Rep. Elise Stefanik , who appears likely to replace Cheney in the No. 3 spot, backed Trumps anti-election efforts to the hilt. Most egregiously, she falsely asserted that there were 140,000 illegal votes in Georgias Fulton County alone which would amount to more than 25 percent of all the votes in the entire Democratic-leaning county. The breakout Republican stars in the House of Representatives, Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert , both egged on the January Stop the Steal rally that culminated in the attack on Capitol Hill.

Why Do Conservatives Soak Up Lies

The evidence that conservatives crave lies is abundant.

Conservatives loved George W. Bush’s and Dick Cheney’s lies about “Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction” — loved them so much, that the researchers who wrote “‘There Must Be a Reason’: Osama, Saddam, and Inferred Justification” surveyed 49 conservative Republicans, during October 2004, who admitted that they still believed Saddam Hussein had caused the 9/11 attacks, and these researchers found that 48 of those 49 extreme conservatives were entirely impervious to the overwhelming factual evidence that was provided to them by the presenters contradicting this false belief they held. Then, a showed that when Republicans were offered the official 2004 Duelfer report that had concluded Iraq hadn’t possessed any weapons of mass destruction for years before the United States invaded it in 2003, the percentage of Republicans who believed that Iraq did have WMD immediately prior to the invasion shot up, instead of going down . Even all of the exposés that had already been published about Bush’s faked WMD “proofs” didn’t persuade Republican voters that they’d simply been deceived by the people they trusted and supported. They didn’t resent it at all; they just asked for more, from those same discredited liars.

So: why do conservatives sop up lies, on topic after topic?

They do it because, if they didn’t, they couldn’t be themselves; they couldn’t be conservatives. Lie-lovers is whom they are. It’s their identity.

This dire outcome was not inevitable: The best evidence we have suggests that the rise of the Big Lie is the direct result of strategic choices by Republican leaders.

A new paper by Dan Hopkins, a political scientist at the University of Pennsylvania, analyzes data from a panel survey, which looks at roughly the same group of people over time, running between 2007 and 2020. The survey asked people to rate the fairness of the US electoral system on a scale of 1 to 5, and tracked the changes over time.

What they found was a striking consistency: Support for the American system is both high and reasonably stable when assessed via this measure, Hopkins writes. Though there are some fluctuations, with partisans evaluating the system as somewhat less fair when the other party is in power, generally theyre small.

Hopkinss last survey wave was in October 2020 which means the results dont reflect the false allegations lobbed in the aftermath of Bidens victory. The stability documented here was very likely shattered by Trumps post-election actions, Hopkins concludes.

Other data confirm this supposition. A report from the Voter Study Group analyzed Pew surveys, conducted after every presidential election since 2004, on whether voters thought their vote was counted fairly. You see the same general stability documented in Hopkinss paper, with a majority of voters in both parties saying they were very confident their vote was counted accurately in every year except 2020:

Ultimately, both President Bush and Vice President Cheney had to admit that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Republicans said that Obamacare would have death panels to decide who would live and who would die. Wrong. No such death panels were ever proposed and nothing of the kind ever happened.

They said the 2009 laws to improve automobile fuel efficiency standards would kill the US auto industry. Wrong. The new standards were followed by a resurgence of the US auto industry enabling them to hire back tens of thousands of workers.

They said environmental protection laws requiring companies to clean up their pollution would create an undue burden and kill businesses. Nope, it never happened.

They said Ebola would spread across the country because President Obama allowed American Ebola patients to be treated in the US. The outbreak never happened. Only three people contracted Ebola in the US and all three survived.

They said President Obama would open our borders to illegal immigrants. Wow, were they wrong about that. Under Obama, we set new records for most illegal immigrants stopped at the border and sent home.

They said Obama would drive up the Federal budget deficit. That didn’t happen. Obama cut the $1.4 trillion deficit he inherited by two-thirds.

While someone could no doubt find instances where Democrats engage in over-the-top rhetoric, nothing compares to the consistently false and erroneous claims made by the GOP in recent years. When a political party has been so dismally wrong about nearly everything over the past 30 years, that party should lose all credibility.

WASHINGTON The more we learn about Donald Trumps baseless, false and discredited claims about the 2020 election, the more baseless, false and discredited those claims have become.

Just consider the revelations over the past week from Republicans:

In Michigan, a GOP-led investigation by its state Senate concluded that it found no evidence of widespread or systematic fraud in Michigans prosecution of the 2020 election.

Regarding Arizona, a report co-authored by former Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson criticized the so-called audit of the election results in that state, saying it does not meet the standards of a proper election recount or audit, and that its being conducted by an inexperienced, unqualified contractor.

And over the weekend, ABCs Jon Karl writing for the Atlantic had former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr debunking Trumps claims about the 2020 election results. If there was evidence of fraud, I had no motive to suppress it. But my suspicion all the way along was that there was nothing there, Barr said. It was all bullsh!#.

Predictably, Trump lashed out at those GOP findings.

Michigan State Senators Mike Shirkey and Ed McBroom are doing everything possible to stop Voter Audits in order to hide the truth about November 3rd, the former president said in a statement, which even included those state senators phone numbers.

Even Bill Barr doesnt buy them.

Get Ready For Another Possible Crisis Like 2020

This is not the first time that Republicans have declared a Democratic president somehow illegitimate. They impeached Bill Clinton on flimsy grounds, after previously accusing him of crimes ranging up to murder; there was a widespread campaign to label Barack Obama an unlawful foreign-born president . These campaigns were effective: A 2019 poll found that 56 percent of Republicans still believed that Obama was born in Kenya.

Nor is this the first time Republican elites have ginned up suspicion of voter fraud for political purposes. After Republicans won a series of statehouse elections in 2010, they spent the next few years falsely claiming that voter fraud was a serious threat in order to pass voter ID laws that were nakedly designed to suppress the vote among Democratic-leaning minority groups. Research has found that, even prior to Trump, this convinced Republicans that voter fraud was a real problem when its exceptionally rare.

These earlier campaigns laid the intellectual groundwork for 2020. Republicans were already primed to believe elected Democrats were somehow illegitimate and to believe in widespread fraud in the American electoral system. Trumps innovation claiming that an entire presidential election result was fraudulent was pushing on an open door.

Paying Lower Taxes Hurts Taxpayers

Less revenue means fewer handouts. Thats bad news for Democrats who lie obsessively year after year about how tax revenue never gets the job done in distressed communities because we still arent spending enough.

Why is it that even when the party is in power, when Democrats call the shots every single year like they do in Illinois, the poor stay right where they are most valuable in poverty?

Biden also maintained that he “graduated with three degrees from undergraduate school” and was the outstanding student in the political science department.

That commentary holds up well, as today more than ever Biden blunders into conversational crevasses, with no way out.

At what cost

A/N: I was just sad and yeah, again some angst and sadness.I will write something happy one day I swear and the idea of Kili and Fili die but Thorin survive just came into my mind and thats it. Always remeber that Eng its not my main language so i am sorry again. It was made for spooky writing event hosted by @dumbassunderthemountain but i have never finished it :/ This was Cemetary.

Summary: Dìs comes back to Erebor after months of travelling. Thorin survived, but her children didn’t, Thorin built a new life with you in his home, but what was the cost he had to pay, what was the cost hi sister had to pay

Every step he took became heavier and heavier, every step he took was a test of courage that he hadn't yet been able to face even once, every thought he made was yet another punch on the sternum that he could barely cash in on himself and his choices.

His dragging himself down there was perhaps the worst choice he had ever made, surely one of the most difficult and painful: did he really think he could escape from it, that he had the right to start over? When he had tried, everything had fallen again, when he had deluded himself that he could escape from what he had done, from his faults and remorse, he had been forced to live them all over again, but this time he was ready, as he was ready to see their faces again.

He could be a king, he could remain lucid in front of everyone, but when darkness arrived and silence fell, while he was sleeping or not, his weakest part reappeared tearing him apart from the inside.

A silent scream that he had never been able to emit, gritting his teeth and going on, not even wanting to try to wash the blood that stained on his hands; but finally he had tried to lie down in that reassurance that that little body of a yours was able to give him: he had laid on you, looking for that damn heat, that happiness that you could give him even only smiling to him, make it disappear when you led naked into his arms sleeping , but what he was feeling now, you could not take it away from him, only the dead were able to.

Everything had a cost and he had paid them all, or others had always paid for him: to die for someone, to possess someone's soul to the point of pushing them to die.

He would have been a hypocrite to say that he would not have done it too: he would have died for you, he would have died for Dwalin, he would have died for Dìs, he would have died and he would have killed himself to avoid being forced to drag himself into the crypts, to see them again, to be him lying on those icy stones, covered by dark iron that would have given him only the semblance of what they had been.

Kili, Fili.

The orange sunset passed through the small cracks had become almost overwhelming, creating a distressing semi-shade, the silence that reigned in the roots of the mountain was not interrupted by anything, a sacred and binding mourning that everyone had to hear as soon as they set foot in those rooms. The candle lights scattered at the side of each staircase were weak, small lights that shared the descent into the crypt carved in the rock.

The shuffling of the cloak he wore accompanied his breaths, the hands behind his back tried to give him a minimum of support, the crown that weighed more and more on his head made him bend forward, made him observe all the lights until the end of the room. The scent of fragrant herbs began to rise, aggravated by the pungent cold that anyone would meet as soon as they were channelled into the underground hypogeum.

It was as he remembered it, as he had seen it the last time: the staircase rolled up on the whole side of the room, descending into a gloomy amphitheatre where anyone could observe and honour the two tombs on the open space suspended in the void. Two warriors carved in stone silently watched over their bodies now rendered black by the black stale iron with which they had been covered.

Built by the fathers of the mountain for the death of an ancient king or for Durin, it had never been used, no one had the right to lie there, yet it was he himself who demanded it, convinced that a prominent position in death would help him to face them as they had gone, as warriors, but having honoured them as he knew best had not erased the pain.

Their bodies became sharper and sharper every step he made as well as their faces. He thought he had forgotten them, but in his heart he knew it would have never happen, he didn't forget anything, never.

He was still unable to say goodbye to them too: he had never done so, not even in his dreams, he saw them, he cried and screamed, but he had never said goodbye to them.

For what was a moment he seemed to see three graves, an alternative that would have been real, very real: if he hadn't survived he would lie among them, with Orcrist on his chest. He would have accompanied them as when they were children holding their hands with Kili who would have asked him if they could stay, and he would have answered him that it wouldn't have been possible.

Instead those two scoundrels had managed to stay there with all of them.

In fact, both of them had stayed, they had never left, they had haunted his thoughts, the mountain itself was haunted by them, that same crypt was always there.

In the middle of them, however, there was not a dark sarcophagus covered with ancient runes, there was someone else he had to imagine he would find there. Seeing her even just from behind was just another hammering on the sternum, but he knew he had to meet her and there, all four of them together again, was perhaps the only way he would be able to let himself go, to look her in the face and at least face her.

The long black hair were resting on one shoulder, the blue and yellow dress, highlighted by the blue stones of Durin's lineage fell into her hair supported by light golden chains. She had both of her hands placed at the foot of the tombs supporting herself on them while she moved her bend head slowly moved from Fili to Kili.

He knew she heard him coming, probably already since he had gone down the first steps, but she had not said a single word, nor had she moved her head towards him.

Nor did he demand it.

Thorin raised his back and walked down the last few steps without saying a word barely managing to turn his head towards the two stone slabs in the centre of the platform, lit by a series of candles surrounding their bodies that he had been forced to lay there himself and closing their eyes with his hand.

«I didn't think you would ever come.» Dìs' voice resounded firm but so delicate that he wondered if she was talking to him.

He blocked the step by staying behind her, even talking or confirming his presence made him feel unworthy. «I have never gone down the upper stairs.»

He could not yet look her in the face, she would not let him, he knew it all too well, but he could imagine her expression: her thick black eyebrows arched upwards, her eyes lighter than his, like their mother ones, covered with tears that she would never shed in his presence.

He heard her puffing, a giggle full of bitter pain without an ounce of joy. «I go down to her every day, before retiring to my halls.»

She showed him her profile, low, while her hand, tattooed with small circles on her fingers, went to detach Fili's tomb leaving a caress on the cold stone.

«I remembered them different, you know?» She barely whispered, looking at Kili's tomb, studying him and passing her hand from the side of the rock to above his chest. «He had shorter hair, Fili on the other hand, in a year he seems to have gotten older by a dozen. Dwalin told me that he behaved even as if he was older than a dozen, he told me that he took care of his brother, Kili always needed it". She laughed again, ironically, as if they could hear her and throw those words at her, as if she was ready to hear them deny every sentence: she couldn't stand it, not at that moment, not like that.

He remained silent not wanting to add anything, but he stepped forward by putting his foot on the first step forward and there he was finally able to see them both and a tremor in his chest led him to close his eyes.

Damn it.

He felt his sister's blue eye lightening from Kili's cold, petrified face on the side, looking at him on the bias and only increasing in him the shame and guilt, but that he would never let it show, she knew it, he couldn't do it, he just hoped that she would remember it. But his nature would have never justify such a pain, he hoped she knew that too.

Thorin looked up and met her conscious and cold eyes: her lip barely trembled, betraying the cold and detached behaviour that had never belonged to her, not to her sister. And seeing her like that hurt more than not seeing her at all, seeing her pretending to show herself strong, seeing her straight and stiff in front of him, imitating him, as if he were a person to imitate.

«Tell me just one thing...» She began with a hard voice, but no matter how hard she tried, she tilted. «Was it worth it?»

«What do you want me to answer?»

«I want you to tell me the truth nothing else, tell me if their lives to get Erebor back were a fair trade.» She spit as the grip in Kili's iron hand that became stronger: slowly she turned her head facing him.

He approached the graves by climbing the last step that separated him from them, standing in the middle , he could see both of their faces after too long; a stabbing pain crossed his chest from side to side so devastating compared to what he dreamed every night that those moments seemed to him only joyful dreams compared to the pain he felt in that moment.

Shivering, he put his hand on the cold slab, resting it on top of it, barely touching it since he was so afraid of it. The faces in the snow covered with blood were transformed into two black masks that did not give them justice at all, the swords held to the chest and the royal cloths of the princes regent under them.

Nothing in that room represented what they had been in life and what they would be in death.

His eyes wandered lightly over the body of Fili, over the hand clutched to his chest holding the sword, over the chain mail, without ever dwelling on any detail except the writing surrounding the entire block.

"Here lies Fili, son of Vili, heir of Thorin Scudodiquercia, prince of Durin, saviour of Erebor and his people.»

His hand on the stone tightened with force in a rigid sting as he red several times at those letters shining from the candlelight.

"No." He murmured uncontrolled: he was dishonoured by his own admissions, but he knew, that if before he left he would have knew the price to pay, he would never left the Ered Luins, not even for all the glory of the seven Kingdoms, not even for all the gold hidden under Arda.

Dìs then did something that left him even more than stone, gluing him to the floor, making him unable even to breathe: she smiled, trembling but smiled at him, she was proud, proud of his response.

How could she?

His sister first looked towards his hand on Fili's grave and then to the crown he wore on his head and that weighed him down like a boulder: all his responsibilities were locked in that object on his head and all his decisions were linked to it and it always had to be so.

«Our father would not have done it, not even our grandfather, this at least shows me that you remained the king you were born to be». SHe affirmed his decision.

Wrong, he was not.

Shame made him lower his head and he had to fight with all his strength, to not pull the crown out of his hair and throw it away, throwing it into the abyss under him.

He shook his head quickly denying her to continue talking or to add anything else that would make those thoughts of his real and he raised his free hand to make her understand even more the concept that she should not interrupt him and how difficult that admission was for him.

«I was not.» He admitted, leaving a painful breath coming out of his mouth. «I was not the king I should have been. In the time of need I was no longer able to be it.» He murmured confessing out loud, no matter how much it hurt, he had been no less king than he had become and every day he felt he had to make amends for what had happened.

He looked down towards his hand still pulled on the tombstone of Fili, not realizing then that Dìs had left his hand to Kili next to him and that she had approached him a few steps closer; before he could realize it she had approached his hand next to his and trembling put hers on top of his, squeezing his palm on the cold green marble.

«Do you remember what our father and grandfather used to say to you when I got into trouble and you tried to get me out of it by taking the blame? Or when Frerin came back so drunk from banquets with Dàin that you had to drag him to his room before he started a fight with the wrong dwarf or at worst you took the punches for him?" She asked him with a veil of melancholy.

He raised and lowered his head nodding and finally found the strength to look up.

«An heir of Durin is first a king and then a dwarf, act accordingly.» He repeated it like a nursery rhyme.

Dìs nodded smiling sadly with the eyes that were lost in her memories.

«They reproached it to you as if it was a lesson you had to learn but you had already learned it and they didn't even realize it».

"I was just doing what I needed to do so that you wouldn't get into more trouble than you would have been."

Again on Dìs' lips appeared that sad smile and shook in dissent, approaching her free hand towards his cheek and with the tip of his index finger moved a tuft of hair away from his forehead: a gesture that she had not stopped doing even with her children.

«No brother, you did it because you took responsibility for us, you protected us even when we were wrong, you always protected all of us because you were always a good king.»

Thorin was shocked and even more devastated from that statement.

He hadn't come there to hear that he was a good king, he wasn't, he hadn't protected them, he hadn't been able to. Then why was Dìs acting as if he was?

He stopped her hand with his claw before she could bring the wavy tuft behind his shoulder looking at her questioning, with his chest beginning to throb shaken by heavy breathing.

«Why are you saying this?»

His sister jerked slightly, but remained silent: she only glanced at his hand, which firmly held her wrist and without adding anything, pulled it away from him and then moved her gaze towards the crown on his head again: she studied it as she had done before, her eyes suddenly became shiny and her hand began to shake, forcing her to take it off and carry it towards her lap.

Dìs glanced behind her, towards the tomb of Fili, and a deep sigh came out of her lips full of pain, as if her sternum had been pierced; she closed her eyes overwhelmingly to tears and silence fell.

There were things that Thorin had been denied, words that she did not want to reveal to him, moments that she was reliving in her head that were making her tremble from head to toe and that made her raise and lower her belly in a frenetic way, not even clamoured by her hands.

Long painful minutes passed, in which Thorin waited, in a religious silence in which the only noise were the thoughts of Dìs that seemed to be reflected around the whole room: a couple of candles in fact blew out on themselves and the cold from the bottom of the crypt became perceptible even under the layers of heavy clothes.

A single tear crossed her cheek, moving her gaze from him to Kili's black metal face behind her and then back to Fili's face. A long trembling breath followed and then she turned around and walked between the two tombs giving him her back.

Dìs shoulders rose and lowered in a tremor. "I have often wondered in these weeks how it would have been like if they had succeeded you as your heirs». At first, she started standing still, continuing to give him her back but then she turned around: she was crying silently, detaching his tone of voice from what he was feeling.

«You knew Kili, he would start giving orders in all directions and he would surely start saying that the crown was thought or that the throne was uncomfortable for him and then he would fall asleep on it». Her voice trembled moving towards Kili's tomb smiling among the tears that crept on her chest adorned with golden necklaces. She placed a hand on his forehead without stopping crying to look at the effigy underneath her. «Fili instead was different from him. B-before you all left, when you left for Dunland, he had even started talking like you. F-few days before you left for the Shire, he woke me in the middle of the night, he stood beside me awake and asked me if you had ever been proud of him, if he would have been able to be like you, a king like you.» A hiccup interrupted Dìs words and her gaze fixed on Fili's face closing her eyes in an instant while she was fighting not to let out those feelings that were killing her.

That pain, that torment, and that only increased the sense of guilt that oppressed Thorin and his chest making him tremble.

«Why didn't you tell me about it then?» He whispered.

"Because he asked me not to, and not to tell his brother either, the reason is now much clearer to me...if...if..." A hiccup blocked her already trembling words making her mouth tighten in a straight line: Thorin felt his ears ring, already knowing what would follow and did not want to hear it.

«They loved you like a father Thorin, dying for you was the only death they would accept or the only death they would hope for, they died for you because they loved you.»

He returned to everything, every single damn moment, every single cursed word that haunted his head managed to resound in his head and disintegrated his every sense of calm: that phrase had the effect of making him tremble, of anger, of pain, of anguish by now he didn't know it anymore. That phrase only caused him disgust.

He heard it every night, he saw them both dead in his arms and that sentence echoed in his head like a torture, a warning of what would happen, a note of what would happen to those who loved him, to those who trusted him, to those who gave themselves to him, to the people he cared for and who would end up like that, leaving behind a pain that he had endured too many times.

He detached his trembling hand from the tombstone of Fili and moved towards Dìs, a blind rage took control of himself, shortening in great steps the distance that only served as a wall to try to filter the pain of both.

"Do you want me to tell you what I see every time I close my eyes sister?" He emphasized harshly: all his barriers tried to stay up unnecessarily. "Every time they tell me that they have died for me, for this venture, do you think it consoles me? Do you think it covers me with honour? No, it makes everything even more real and makes the guilt unmanageable, because it's as if the blade that pierced them was still in my hands!» Dìs didn't say a word only grained her eyes.«I see them children, I see them growing among the snow and the fir trees outside the doors of Nogrod, and then there is the darkness and the scenes of the last time I looked at them before I saw them disappear before my eyes...» The words were low a growl of pain that was replaced by a painful sigh, by an anger that had gone down leaving behind only the remains of himself and making his impenetrable wall collapse.

He advanced towards, his head down, the side of his eyes that began to shake. «Despise me, I beg you.» He begged.

At that supplication Dìs looked at him disconsolate, shaking his head and lowering it towards the surrendered floor, knowing that it should have been like that, they both knew: she should have hated him, he had taken them away from her arms, he had convinced them, and they had followed him and she had not been able to stop them, but time changed many things, the lack of all the people she loved had changed too many things.

«Hating you won't give them back to me, it would only destroy the last family I have left.» Thorin muttered as he watched her raise her head again, her mouth wide open trying to get air trying to stay still. «And it's you... they're not there anymore, you're the only one left.» She murmured and quickly took a hand over her mouth to suffocate the sobs by squeezing her eyes to stop the tears.

At that point Thorin couldn't take it anymore, all the pain, all the guilt, everything he had felt in all those months bent him in front of what his sister to his only family left to his past that he would never let go, his little sister. He advanced towards her, wanting to console her. Wanting to embrace her. He took her close, one step away: he tried to wrap her in his strong arms but Dìs came back plotting shaking his head.

Thorin suddenly froze with his eyes closed, observing the pain in his chest, which never ended, destroying him and reducing him to a spectator unaware of his feelings: something warm dripped down his cheeks.

He brought his hands to his eyes, recognizing many tears that came out, and that he could not stop, his hand trembled at that sight and that feeling. He looked up at his sister's upset face and without either of them saying anything, they ran towards each other and held each other.

Dìs let himself go to a desperate cry shaken by the tremors and the sobbing higher and higher and higher, holding him tighter and tighter, sinking his head into her shoulder; instead he remained motionless and unable to make a noise: already too much that silent tears came down from his cheeks. He wrapped his hips around her with one arm, while the other wrapped it behind her shoulders keeping attached to him.

"Give them back to me, please, give them back to me." He heard her pleading in the fabric of his crush crying desperately, but to that pleading he did not answer: he just held her tighter to himself, staring at the emptiness in front of him. «Give my babies back to me, make the-them return to me, please, please, please.» She begged and hi tears only increased by number as his heart broke again bleeding. «Please I want them with me please, p-please..please… please…I beg of you.»

The heartbeat he could no longer feel it, there was only an emptiness that had swallowed them both, a pain that instead of separating them had united them in a way they would never have expected.

Those few tears he managed to shed, counted even in the fingers of one hand, were nothing compared to those of hi sister in his arms, of the princess in his arms who kept sobbing uninterruptedly, pouring over him all that she had managed to keep inside for months, not being able to tell anyone about it, not being able to show it to anyone.

Thorin closed his eyes cradling her and resting his chin on her forehead closing his eyes, while the salty drops on his cheeks became a faint memory and time passed inexorably on them; the King under the Mountain discounted every second of it: he let Dìs take his revenge on him, clinging to his cloak and drowning in his arms and pain.

He could not say how long they remained like that, but finally the tears stopped and Thorin found himself clutching a body that seemed to have emptied of all life: Dìs was heavy and cold, her fingers could barely hold him now.

Deep breaths shook her and she turned around in her arms, turning her face, first pressed against her shoulder towards the dark stone of Fili's tomb and a last and defined hiccup decreed the end of that moment.

To his surprise Dìs began to speak again, the tone of voice devoid of any pain, like a story told to children in bed, maternal, affable.

«When they died, even when Vili died, no crow had to tell me, no messenger had to tell me, I felt only a huge emptiness, a huge hole as if someone had ripped my heart from my chest throwing it to beasts, the ox swallowed me and corroded me leaving behind only a shadow of what could be, an infinite nothing in which there was only a faint regret of what would no longer happen, the lack of a piece that would no longer be welded». Thorin said nothing except that he placed his chin on the top of his head and held it steady where it rested on his chest carefully following every painful word. «I wanted to die, so I stayed awake waiting, but nothing happened. I saw them, all the time around the house, their ghosts haunted me». She broke off by slightly increasing the grip on his shirt. «If I could, I would go back, even for a moment, just to embrace them one last time, just for a moment, I would.»

«You would still suffer.» Thorin was harsh with that statement, too direct, those words had hit him too deeply to make him act in a less aggressive way, it all seemed so absurd to him, to be able to go back, to want to know and love so much while knowing what would happen, was a foolish wrong choice. How could she have wanted such a thing when all he wanted was to forget?

However, Dìs didn't bother: she simply shook her head on his shoulder and kept staring next to her the eyes lost in the void, a veiled smile towards some figures that Thorin couldn't see but that seemed so real to her, too real, because they were so, they were real, to Dìs hey were real.

«No, I would love them even more than before.» She said and in one moment the three figures smiled to her before disappearing, and left, her, there, alone, again.

«We love you too a-mad.»

«I love you, my love, my princess, I always did, I always will, we will wait, I promise we will.»

Abb/y has something to s/ay

Let me premise this by reminding everyone that Abby -like Trump-doesn’t “get” comedy. They literally do not understand jokes, punchlines, or humor. So a satirical show about the Hollywood song writers falls flat. Her time away did nothing to sway her conspiratorial aspirations or her misogynistic hatred of Mia. She watched Royalties not once, but twice... not to enjoy Darren’s creativity and performance, not to support the celebrity she stans, and not even to crack up at the humor, no she watched twice because she was looking for confirmation bias. She wanted to document all of the ways Darren wrote his CrissColfer truth into Pierce’s life and she obsessively listened to all of the diss-tracks he wrote to attack his wife.

Let me also premise this by saying I loved the show. I thought it was funny and the songs are so damn catchy. The lyrics are quintessential Darren- funny, very clever, and raunchy.

R/oyalties, the Tale of Two Shows with a Heaping Side of Meta

ajw720. So I just finished watching R/oyalties for the second time, this time solely focused on the meta. Look, we all know, the show is not good, it was not well written and the short format didn’t help as there was no option to develop character or plot. But D knew it would not be good, he apologized for it back in January 2019. And I think the effort he put into acting was the effort it deserved. Ok.

But his songs were genius. As were the videos, hence why i call it the tale of two shows. It truly was like watching content made by completely different people. I concur with MH, D is “intensely talented.” And the part of this show he poured his blood, sweat, and tears into, the songs, are evident of this.

But this is a post about that Heaping Side of Meta. I think D, knowing that that show would not be made in the manner he envisioned, instead used it as a vehicle to make some bold statements and parallels with his career and public life. Shall we begin? And please, unlike the perfect song, this is not a perfect post and after the second round of watching i canceled my Quibi subscription and never plan to look back, so please feel free to add. I know some of these have been pointed out but I thought it was valuable to have one post.

One idea to inpsire the song? A tiny FROG on a dime.

D’s shirt 1st seen in Episode 2: “It is hard to soar like an Eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys”

And of course “Call me Goldilocks bitch” Remind you of something?

How about the entirety of Episode 3 when we are told that an artist is completely the product of the team. That no matter what the artists expresses they want, it doesn’t matter because the Label/manager/publicist/on camera agent/legal will always have a say. And how it will play in America or the Foreign market are key metrics of how the product is produced and presented. I love the line of the songwriter that tells P/ierce and S/ara to “get out while they are young.” Or the line by one of her team “we don’t want something different, we want something the same that is different.” And in the end P&S simply took one of KK old songs and reworked it, making something different that is not different and her team loved it.

And of course, the line that was an utter slap in the face to the most over praised “director” of an indie band video ever when D reminds her of the real director in his life, the man set to direct major motion pictures, “you know who would be perfect to direct? C/hris. C/hris would shatter this.”

Not much in Episode 4, but the gorilla suit in my opinion was mocking of a certain MMR video where we watched Swiller and a banana in a song about a gorilla. Images I never need to see in my head again.

Episode 5, a gem, I am still so fucking proud of D and how he mocked her throughout the entirety of the episode. New lines I love of that amazing song he wrote about her (in addition to those i posted previously here) “Some people say I’m a genius, which comes from the greek word for Latin, and other people will say, alright in fact i’m a fuckin’s genius” “I’m not saying I’m a god, but I’m not saying I’m not a god.” Mocking at its finest made all that much better by the band’s name “Switchback Jacket” that D describes as “butt rock emo” that is performed by a band that doesn’t actually sing, they are just the public image. He literally told us that what we see is an image created for the public and that it is completely fake. And he used his beard to make this statement. Just brilliant. I cannot praise him enough for this, stealing her moment in the sun and making her look like an utter fool, telling us just how narcissistic she is.

Also some wonderful lines from that episode that are beyond telling:

“Power, it felt good to remind Kevin that I hold power over him. You always want to be the one with power”

“p/ierce wouldn’t know where to take a shit if I didn’t tell him.”

“she is like my wife except we don’t have sex and we are friends.”

“alright boss, I am ready to record that song, but where should i take a shit?”

“You will do anything to succeed.”

Episode 8 starring “Poly Amorous and the Unicorn Guild” an episode used to shine a light on how absurd it is that people believe D&PBB lived with platonic roomie B/enny for something like 4 years. 3 grown ass adults, all of whom have money to spare lived together in a relatively small house for four years. It is pure comedy that anyone would believe that this is normal. But hey these are the same people that explained away the infamous arm around her while at an awards show with D looking on:

And the cherry on top of this episode, the inclusion of C/huck (for some background, see my post here).

I really like the one bit of dialogue between P&S, where D pretty much tells us once again that M will use anyone to get what she wants:

“Did it ever occur to you that maybe just maybe, I don’t like where we are now? There were a lot of really great things about the way things were. Things that are worth preserving. Not that you just take and use and through out.”

Episode 9 had some really impactful lines:

“you think i wouldn’t steal for my career? You think I wouldn’t lie? I would do anything.”

The Neils being the nameless individuals, nothing more than a number, who are the ones who actually create the product. And then the song, some of the translations are D telling you how he feels, because sometimes i think in terms of his public image he is just a Neil trying to escape the cage that has been built around him:

“I dream about getting away, I have been locked up in this cage wishing i could make my escape. I hate that I need you.”

And finally Episode 10, where we learn the Neils get no credit and no royalties. This reminds me of a script C wrote that never saw the light of day but suddenly the next season of AHS had the same theme as his script.

And that is all i got, if you have more please add. I think the fact that D took what he knew would be a mediocre project and projected his voice and story throughout it was pretty genius and a smart way to utilize this vehicle, that was clearly payout for so many that have used him for years and to shine a bright light on the truth.

When Theo tells P to bottle up all his romantic feelings I couldn’t help but think of a certain chapter in a book

Oy Vei! Abby didn’t use her time away getting any therapy or perspective. She hasn’t learned any lessons. I have no doubt she’s been reading just as much as she did before and she’s speaking to Cassie, Flowers et al all day. It’s really sad. It’s sad that she can’t see how silly she sounds, what an asshole her version of Darren is. If she could restrain herself even a little bit it might come off less unhinged because turning every single moment of Royalties into some crisscolfer wet dream reeks of desperation.

Abby hates Royalties. In last week’s “Dear D” she had the audacity to say

....Fans that are beyond devoted and mainly because of the way you have treated fans with respect and a level of caring that far surpasses the majority of public figures. And while I am not enjoying the show itself, the music shows how diverse you are as a writer and how you can virtually write for anyone or any genre. The songs are fantastic. Memorable. And really fun.

She knows the the Langs wrote the show and Darren wrote the songs but what she can’t seem to comprehend is that Darren IS Royalties. Everything in the show is Darren’s.

Staying in the closet would be less painful than trying to express oneself through a short-form satirical comedy. Can you imagine trying to express your devastation and pain through Kick Your Shoes off or Break It In?

“I’m the king of the hard fuck....pile drive the bed like a young buck...if you like feathery shit thats pretty cool but I don’t need that...people say I fuck too soft, saying that I can’t please a woman”

BTW Abby- “call me goldilocks bitch” isn’t a reference to TLOS it’s a reference to Goldilocks and Three Bears because because he fucks perfect, not too soft, not too hard. It’s much more believable that he is referring to a random nursery rhyme than it is to believe he is referring to a children’s book his lover/husband/boyfriend wrote 8 years ago. You might love the book but Chris has moved on and written new things.

Darren wrote funny lyrics. I loved Kick Your Shoes Off because it’s written by a man whose watched his wife and female friends wear painful shoes for the same of fashion even though its painful as fuck.

“Yeah, I’m a bad bitch so don’t be mad bitch. I turned the room into a catwalk like a sad bitch. I can’t feel my toes in these stilettos. when I walk out my roomate says you’ll regret those....Beauty is pain but oh I look amazing. You won’t hear me complaining but oh my instep (inside?) is screaming...kick your shoes off (kick em off) ooooooo I do what I want..(Kick em off) ooooo Hey I can’t walk in these, blisters start to bleed now both my feet are swollen. Kick your shoes off (Kick em off).....It’s like i feel so good when my shoes are on, but like i also feel sooooo good when they are off”

Abby’s convinced I am So Much Better Than You is straight up about Mia because Mia is in the video. She listened to it on repeat the day after it came out. In her “Letter to D” last week she said

Especially after you made an effort to mock her for the entirety of Tuesday when her episode aired (and for the record I am still really, really proud of what you did with that episode and how you handled the roll out, that is the fighter I admire and that inspires me. I listened to I am so much better than you on repeat on my drive home from work yesterday).

Good Lord The lyrics are as silly as all the other songs: “My mirror wants to bone me (but it can’t because it’s a mirror)” How did Abby miss the obvious TLOS mirror/ Halloween costume reference here?

“You keep doing push ups while I get buff eating mac and cheese (with overpriced lobster and truffles because I’m worth it)”

“Some people say I’m a genius (which comes from the greek work for latin) Some other people will say yeah I’m right I’m a fucking genius (I’m not saying I’m a god but I’m not saying I’m not a god).

She believes Darren would be- and stay- married to a women that he publicly ridicules and attacks. I don’t get why she thinks that is something admirable .

She thinks Also You is referring to Ben living with them. Where to start with this one? She says

I’m gobsmacked. Also You is about Polyamory. She doesn’t even understand her own theories if she thinks that is the message Darren wants to share about Mia and Ben. In no world would someone try to proclaim their wife was cheating on them with a live-in houseguest by writing an episode called Poly Amorous and the Unicorn Guild. Also, someone needs to explain cuckholding to her because her theories about Ben and Mia make Darren a cuck.

OMG I just realized that Darren is a cuck and Royalties proves it. He hired Kether to be his costar in Royalties,...Kether is in You’re the Worst as Lindsay. Lindsay cuckholds her husband. Bam! mic drop.

Why isn’t Perfect Song about Mia, you know, if we are playing confirmation bias “No one is as good as you because you're my perfect song”

GIve me a break, this is like the fifth day in a row i have been up well over 24 hours ok. some of you are gonna hate what i talk about here, but i just want you to acknowledge something, i didnt come to these conclusions because i was personally hateful towards any grouping of people, i came to it by accident while studying biology, a major lifelong passion of mine, straight up, i just wanted to learn about frogs and shit, but i kept running into brick walls as my interest in biology grew broader, why cant i learn about this? why isnt anyone trying to figure this out? the experiment would be easy to set up, and the answer is important so why cant we talk about it?

at first i thought the answer was politeness, and i probably could have gone my whole life believing that and been much happier as a result, if i didnt have an innate passion for learning about this stuff, but i do, so i didnt. years and years of further study, into what this thing is that i was perceiving, thats pulling a shroud over vast swathes of information, what could it be?

oh fuck its jewish people. even with the proof right in front of my face, i denied it for two full years, even when proof slapped me in the fucking mouth every single day for two years, i wouldnt except it. the last thing i could cling to was there was no believable method of action, i could hardly believe that jews all met in some shady building somewhere and plotted together about how they were gonna stick it to the gentiles. i could CLEARLY SEE that the people motivating, and funding this massive web of lies were almost always jewish, WAYYY beyond the scope of my confirmation bias, remember at this time i was trying hard not to believe that, anything but fucking THAT! right, i grew up training to join the army someday, i read book after book about world war 2, we were the good guys, hitler was gassing millions of people! we saved them! not to mention a literal lifetime of propaganda depicting people who hold racial views as the villian every time, that got easier to let go of once the heros started being racist as fuck towards white people, and the media and colleges were basically like “kill whitey”, it was a jarring about face. and then i found former professor of psychology at the university of california kevin macdonalds book culture of critique,

i was already familiar with group identity dynamics, and Macdonald masterfully proofs (over and over, relentlessly) that judaism is a group evolutionary strategy, and on some level its instinctual for them to sabatoge their larger host population. i cant begin to do the book justice, each chapter basically starts with an assertion or a theory or a question, and then its just paragraph after paragraph of proofs with tons of mainstream sources sited. after i finished reading it the first time, i sought out the best argument against his book, and my god it was fucking terrible. the guy pinker accused macdonald of cherry picking, which if you read the book, its a ludicrous charge, macdonald responded and eviscerated this guys “critique” they back and forthed for a while, with pinker sticking mostly to his original erroneous charge, it was literally like he didnt even understand the thesis of the book, it was embarrassing. he later admitted to not having read the book, and then was heavily implicated in the EpSTEIN child molestation ring. you know, the one where mossad paid Epstiein to black male americas rich and powerful by taping them fucking underaged prostitutes he hired? that epstein (man who gives a FUCK if he committed suicide or was murdered!?) obviously that doesnt have any bearing on his argument i just thought it was funny to mention, if you think im lying look up steven pinker right now. the rest of the “critiques” of kevin macdonalds books arent even worth talking about, i considered just pasting them into this post but its already long as hell and interesting to no one else but me so ill spare you, the short version is they just called him an anti-Semite or a white supremacist, or that he had cooties or whatever the fuck else people call people who are telling the truth and they want them to stop. after that it was over for me, the book just lays it all out, the whole history of it, but more importantly the mechanism of it. jews arent some hive mind (no shit) they are just humans, they arent a monolith, they disagree, but they also do conspire, and its literally in their DNA to do exactly what they are doing here, LIE mainly, but they are only lying so they can steal, which is what they have been doing since long before you were born. again, not all jews, and not all responsible for this fucking mess are jewish, but the mess itself is distinctly jewish, its got a little hat on and everything. our country looks the way it does, is dysfunctional in this very specific way, due to massively disproportionate jewish influence.

back here again and i feel like letting it out here cause maybe atleast i feel abit ease when i let it out here? so here it goes, bismillah. 19 yrs living, never have i ever experience this. last yr, i’ve lost my very own bestfriend. 8 yrs growing up in the same sport, a sport that we both have so much passion in it, also a sport that we went through hardships tgt and much more. all those mixed emotions started when i received a text in the morning from irbah before going out to watch her psk’19 final match against kak wani. “farz dah meninggal, astaghfirullah 😭” — i cldnt react to it bcs nope, how cld it be her? out of all person. not even a tears drop until farhanah, arwah farz’s sister dm-ed me and told me abt it then i started to believe. alot of my silat friends started to dm me, asking for a confirmation and also told me to stay strong. i was standing while reading all the dms, then i started to shed tears and sit back on my bed. only god knows how i felt the moment i sit back. i frozed. so much questions were on my mind and i cld even imagine how it happen. i cldnt miss irbah’s fight, i still decided to come and watch. wtv happened, i will always be there for her even up till now. i will try. not gonna lie, thruout the journey from north to east, i cldnt even stop thinking abt it. tried holding my tears. the moment i entered the hall, asrul was the first person who saw me and told me to stay strong and thats when i shed tears back but i managed to control. Saw Irbah and i went to her, sat beside her and had a short convo. Told her this — “aku tk percaya dia dh tkde.” and she replied the same too. it was too devastating. we cldnt even react to anything and all i did was laying on her shoulders. Watched her match and it was supposingly her win but stupid and bloody bias juris just had to lose her game. a week before arwah farz’s passing, she just lost her dad in the morning when she was on a overseas comp and its that morning itself she have a match. she returned home on that morning itself. i cldnt even imagine being in her shoes and a week later, farz’s passing. she wanted that win for her dad and for farz too but that’s just disappointing cause it was rlly her win. cldnt be with her aft her match cause her sisters went out with her aft her match and she told me that she let everything out to her sisters. i cldnt miss kak azza’s match bcs i promised her that i wld come down and watch. i wanted to be there for her all the time but i only managed to watch from round 2 till the last round. even when im watching, my mind cldnt stop thinking abt it even for awhile. To kak azza, sorry if i cldnt be myself on that day. i cldnt even speak so much. Cik Min, my team manager, tapped my back when i was watching kak azza’s match and hugged me tightly. i rlly dont want to shed so much tears on that day but those ppl that approached me and told me to stay strong is just....😔 then ariqah tapped me again when i was watching one of the matches. Saw her smiling, with tears rolling down, trying her best not to pull her sad face and i didnt say a word, hugged her and shed tears back. Cried so much on that day and its during a competition period even if i didnt compete. the pain, the sadness, everything in one, i cldnt believe i went through all that. i used to wonder how does it feels like losing my own bestfriend but i’ve never thought that the phase wld be this painful and hard for me. how wld it possible for me to lose someone who i wanted to keep forever? someone who wld create a rainbow after a storm? you’re a heartwarming and a cheerful girl. no one shld ever hurt you. you deserve all the happiness in this world. you rlly have the most sweetest smile and the most cutest laugh ever. its sad to say that i wldnt be able to see all of that. whats even more worst? your presence, i wldnt be able to see you anymore and it breaks my heart. i wldnt be able to see you standing outside of the arena cheering for me, shouting — “tojang kau mana!” “shikin keras lagi oi!!” “baik mcm gitu!!” & also seeing you all hype up to watch my fights —

Yes, Jewel is my real name although my parents admit I was supposed to be named elizabeth but changed their minds last minute after I was born how cute and I’m currently in university. I study political science and japanese for those wondering (because yes, I am japanese and it’s helpful when you live in hawaii to have that degree yk?). After watching the performance of herin and jaehyun singing a whole new world I knew that was it for me. (I still watch it once a month for my jaehyun-related health and to honor SM’s biggest loss, seo herin and ji hansol but thats for another conversation) back to jaehyun His vocals are unique in NCT and bring a nice color to their songs, the man looks good in literally anything, and I’ll probably say this about every member, but I love his dance style--body rolls for days sis. Definitely my ideal type, which my boyfriend is 100% aware of; no secrets in my relationship ofc which explains the wreckage. Pretty sure 81% of the fandom gets wrecked by him daily, so I think I’ll stop here.

115 BTS FAN QUESTIONS!

I’m only going to answer like 20-30 at a time, because 115 is a loooot. But this looks like fun!

1. Who was your first bias and why? I guess we can say V was my first bias. When I first started getting into BTS, Tae stood out the most to me. Loved his voice, loved his cute spunky personality. 2. Who’s your bias now and why? Jung Hoseok, J-Hope. I wrote a long story about this on my Instagram, but basically when I saw BTS live, J-Hope completely stole my heart. I wasn’t expecting that at all, I truly thought I would remain a V stan. But there was something about J-Hope that immediately stood out to me and I fell in love. Now the more and more I see about J-Hope, the more it confirms he was meant to be my ult bias. (It really is true when kpoppers say you don’t choose your bias, he chooses you) 3. What’s your earliest BTS related memory? Honestly, it’s hard to say. I only started getting into BTS (and kpop in general) last year. I think the first MV I ever watched was Blood, Sweat & Tears – it’s one of the first songs that REALLY got me into kpop and BTS. 4. What do your friends and family think of your love for BTS? Ahahaha, I’m pretty sure 90% of them find it weird/annoying. My mom calls them BTSD and/or the Korean Justin Bieber (Hobi). My stream viewers make fun of me for it. Anything BTS related I post on my social media no one gives a F about. I really wish I had a good circle of kpop friends. 5. What’s your opinion of BigHit? Honestly, I think BigHit has done everything right in the kpop realm, which is one of the main reasons why BTS is so successful. They post a LOT of BTS content, so it just feels like and endless flow of BTS videos/photos/social media to keep up with - which keeps fans drawn in. They keep the boys personal life PERSONAL (no public dating like SM does with groups like EXO). The boys have really great personalities on camera and it really makes you fall in love with them. Hats off to BigHit. 6. What is your favorite era so far? I guess I’d say the current era or the “Wings” era. I love all of the boy’s solo songs - it gives them their own time to shine. Not Today is also an amazing song. Plus, the boys have really been in the spotlight lately so it is amazing to see all of their hard work pay off.

7. Do you like the boys mainly for their music? I’d say so, yeah. Of course I find each of them very handsome and their looks stand out a lot, but I’ve listened to basically every single song they’ve put out there, including covers and random songs. Plus I’ve watched what seems like hundreds of dance videos. Male kpop dancing always stood out to me, especially Bangtan. They also have some incredible, beautifully written music (especially listening to their solo songs like Lie, Hey Mama, Begin, etc.) 8. What are your five favorite songs? 1) I NEED U, 2) Cypher 4, 3) Boy Meets Evil 4) House of Cards, 5) Fire

9. What’s your favorite album and why? Either Wings or The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever. Both have too many good songs. 10. How did you discover BTS? When I first started getting into kpop, mostly through watching different MV on YouTube - I believe my first BTS song was BST and then Fire. Eventually I started listening to other songs.

11. Is there a BTS song that makes you cry? I think I almost cried when I heard I NEED U live, because it is my favorite song. Yoongi’s solo song, First Love, made me emotional. Also 4 o’clock made me very teary eyed. Don’t think I’ve flat out cried, though. 12. Is there a BTS song that you can’t stand at all? Lol, I just had to look through all of Bangtan’s songs to see if there was one I really didn’t like. Not really, can’t think of any songs I hate. I know during this last Festa they did those ‘kid’/’cute-sy’ versions of some of their songs and honestly I really wasnt a fan :P haha

13. Favorite song from 2 COOL 4 SKOOL? I just wanna say that I love the older albums, because they are very hiphop-esque, including the skits and all. I really LOVE the hip hop side of BTS - so these older albums are just great. That being said, No More Dream is my favorite from this album.

14. Favorite song from Skool Luv Affair? SPINEBREAKERRRR :P Though for a while I looooved Boy in Luv, when I first was getting into BTS that was one of my fave songs.
