God, you hated how cocky he was. Didn’t help that he was right, either. You quickly typed out a response as you slipped a pair of birkenstocks on.

The drive to Mat’s was just long enough to make you question whether or not you should turn around but not long enough to really give you the courage to do so. Your knee bounced up and down as you stopped at the red light. You always swore to yourself that you weren’t going to become his late night booty call. But, look at you now. 15 year old you would have been so disappointed.

Your hand was shaky as you knocked on the door. He was quick to open the door, the dim flourescents of the apartment building’s hallway bouncing of his irises. He was way too pretty to be calling you up in the middle of the night like this. You could just imagine what he looked like during the day when he actually put effort into his appearance.

“Come in,” he said, punctuating the sentence with a quick peck to your lips.

Welp my feet are too wide for chacos so I’m just going to return them until I can be in a place that’s big enough to try them on in person, which I’m kind of peeved about (because I don’t really want to exchange them AGAIN with a conversation with someone on the phone, because of course their system only lets you automatically exchange with the same style, and of COURSE the wide sizes are A DIFFERENT STYLE FOR SOME REASON)

…and boy I’ve got expensive taste in sandals now because I’ve been well and truly spoiled by years of birkenstocks, so the $20 teva knockoffs I got from target REALLY FEEL like they’re $20 and also like they’re going to fall apart after 10 days in Hawaii… which I guess is their primary purpose, so fine (because I can also feel the sensation of “ohhh these are going to make my feet stink” just as I walked to the ice cream stand, and I HATE THAT)

I’m just GRUMPY about it (and also that they charge a $5 restocking fee, because cmon guys what the fuck)
