well! I'll make a proper post about this later since I'm in the middle of cleaning out the old apartment today, but just to get it out here: I'm open for sticky note commissions!
I've been doing a ton of physical/traditional art lately, and I'd like to open up commissions for it. I'm still open to doing digital art commissions as well, but I feel like I'll have fun with the traditional options.
Since I've been working on my sticky note project this year, I'm starting with offering sticky note commissions. I've got plenty of examples to pull from (and will throw more together in the proper post later) but here's what I have saved on my phone at the moment.
Basic pen sketch - $15
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Detailed pen sketch - $20
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Experimental - $25
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Papercraft - $30
Tumblr media
Most pieces will be fairly experimental in their own right. Extra characters are free at the moment, price is per note. I can also laminate and mail finished pieces out upon request.
Again, I'll post later with more details and better examples. In the meantime though, feel free to send me questions if you have any! I may not be available to reply until tomorrow because of moving stuff + work, but hopefully this'll start generating interest :)

all the usual money stuff (ppal, vnmo, cshapp, kofi) is Colorstormx, send a ref with anything over like $5 and I'll draw you something
you can also reply here, dm me, or email me at colorstormx @ gmail if you want to plan out something more specific. my art tag here is #colorstormxart, I need to post more stuff+ get things set up properly but hey! better to post now while I'm thinking about it than to leave it to rot in a forgotten draft, y'know?

I know I haven't really talked about my sticky note project that much here, but. by god. at the end of the year, when it's finally finished... I'm gonna be fucking insufferable for a bit most likely
(for the uninitiated: I've got a project going where the premise is pretty much just "I draw my fursona on a sticky note, once a day every day for a year." 3"x3" square, any tools and mediums are fair game as long as the note remains flat enough to go in the storage book.
which, for that matter, I need to finish getting the supplies together to make my storage book instead of just leaving them stuck inside a sketchbook for eternity... I've already got the cardstock and a design down, I just need to order acetate sheets, chipboard for the covers, and more double sided tape. as it goes, I guess.)
anyway my main point here is that there is A Lot of Storm content waiting in the wings and I'm gonna be ready to yell about it. still trying to decide how I'm gonna release that many images though - I've got half a mind to do them day by day and just let them run through next year, and just have the option to see them all at once be some sort of kofi support bonus or something. (which would require me to get my kofi off the ground. I really should figure out how to set it up already.) I'm open to other suggestions on how to present them though, depending on what people want to see

Update: I've got a fair amount of posts tagged and sitting in my queue, they're scheduled to post once a day until the backlog is cleared. (If you just want my art and not other posts, check out @colorstormxart )
in the meantime, I'm gonna start organizing a new commissions post. I think I'll be offering a few kinds of slots for now: blob chibis, more detailed chibis, regular and artistic freedom fullbodies, and basic looping lineless animations.
that being said, I'm probably gonna want more up-to-date examples for all of these, so! if you want to be a guinea pig and get a comm at a discount, now's the chance.
discounted prices, rough examples, and ordering instructions under the cut:
Blob Chibis: $5 (regular price $10) - A simple, cutesy version of your character. Highly textured, rough color, shading available upon request. Works best with feral type characters.
Tumblr media
Detailed Chibis: $15 (regular price TBD, will likely be around $25) - A small and cute drawing of your character, usually stylized. Some details may be simplified. Shading and alternate styles available upon request. Image size will be smaller than "regular" fullbodies, usually around 1000x1000px.
Tumblr media
Artistic Freedom Fullbody: $35 (regularly $50+) - A fullbody of your character drawn in a more experimental style. Typically shaded unless you request otherwise. Cheaper than a "regular" fullbody because the commissioner has less control over the outcome. Small revisions will still be available upon completion.
Tumblr media
Regular Fullbody: $45 (regularly $60+) - A fullbody of your character, drawn to your specifications. You get to pick the style, pose, and other details. WIPs will be sent to you for approval at every major step. Shading is included unless you request otherwise.
Tumblr media
Lineless Animations: $60 (regular price TBD, will likely be over $80) - A looping fullbody animation of your character, done in a blocky lineless style. Minimalist shading included, more detailed shading upon request. Detailed shading and complex movement will add to the price.
Tumblr media
Prices are subject to change depending on demand and my availability. I reserve the right to decline any commission. If you are interested in commissioning me, fill out this google form and I will send you an email confirming the details of your commission.
Thank you for your interest in my art! I hope to hear from you soon!

what if I gave Storm neopronouns actually. just as an option in addition to the standard fare.
I'm thinking something along the lines of zhe/hir and maybe xe/xem. just to play around a bit. test em out, y'know

shit I forgot to post anything special but it was Storm's 12th birthday recently! I drew her first form in December 2011... It's hard to trace it to the exact day, but I generally pin it as being around the 17th. (she was definitely around by the 20th if memory serves, I was able to look up the creation dates on the earliest digital art I made of her and the original paper drawing was done a few days before that)
I want to do a mini redraw of that original piece for the sticky note project, but I'm torn on what medium to use. The original was colored pencil (my favorite medium at the time), but I'm not sure if I want to use colored pencils for the redraw since I hardly ever go for them anymore. I'm torn between using my fancy inks and dip pen, using a bunch of colorful highlighters, using more neutral toned markers, or just giving in and digging out some old crayolas for this one. You know what this means - pointless poll time!

Note
Is the zh in zhe pronounced like the Russian ж, or is just like a z and the h means nothing?
For Storm's pronouns? I'm not very familiar with Russian at all, but after looking up some pronunciations I think ж is pretty similar to what I'm going for, yeah

one more for the night:
extra bonus question: should I use different colors of background paper? I've got some nice paper I've been saving for something like this, but I'm very much not above just using a bunch of silly neon sticky notes or something like that lmao

also, since most of my preferred art mediums are Some Kind Of Ink anyway, how should I set up my inktober project?
