UPDATE: Here's a little bit of an update on Rayven's skoolie conversion. Still a work in progress, but he's livable. WHAT'S DONE: Insulation, flooring, drywall, painting, all furniture is in, but not permanently set in place. Platform for bathtub built, personal affects, solar screens on the windows and the critters are home. WHAT'S NEEDED: Plumbing for the sink and tub, the installation of solar, inverter and exposed conduit (electrical). For now she will build a frame for her full size bed, but eventually there will be a homemade Murphy style bed frame installed, solar film on the windows and roof. From their very first day of school until their last, watching my girls navigate that chapter of their lives has been amazing and so much fun. I cannot believe I have TWO kiddos out of school and ready to begin their adult lives. The longer we stay here, the more we want to stay here! This place is AMAZING, it's magical. We HATE the city, but this place is THE exception. It's beautiful, it's convenient, the people here... OMG, not one single negative thing to say about the people here. And this hotel @theseabird .... what can we say? The staff here are INCREDIBLE and kind. From the MOMENT we pulled up we were treated like guests at their personal home. They are engaged and engaging, they're brilliantly inquisitive and fun. We got to know some great people here, everyday a new adventure and we didn't have to leave the city. One day, we will call Oceanside our home away from home.
