i lovvvvve tmg but AUGH how do you choose a favourite song.....i don't think i can even choose a favourite ALBUM lol...there's really one for every mood and also for heretofore undiscovered moods. once every few months i enter the sunset tree mode where i listen to it on repeat for a few days and do a lot of staring out of windows lol.

but anyway a couple of my all-time favourites, those ones that really hit deep in the chest, have gotta be source decay (themes of memory loss + the way the lyrics edge around the shape of the story so the form matches the content + the lilting rhythm and flow of it + the chance to belt I REMEMBER THE TRAIN HEADED SOUTH OUT OF BANGKOK DOWN. TOWARD. THE WATER. which is somehow so evocative and emotional UGH), the legend of chavo guerrero (AND I NEED JUSTICE IN MY LIFE. HERE IT COMES.), dance music (SO THIS IS WHAT THE VOLUME KNOB'S FOR!), oceanographer's choice (u know the subgenre of Angry tmg songs...so fucking good. prowl great cain too oh my god.), color in your cheeks oh god i have to stop myself there i'll keep going.

but a very special mention to steal smoked fish that one is like. so much augh. the "god bless x" motif is done so so effectively it hits every fucking time. songs that make me feel very large things and very small at the same time. and also to deuteronomy 2:10 for being alone of the only songs that is guaranteed to make me cry every time i listen. no brothers left and there'll be no more after me.............
