I got so embarrassed because an old customer came up to me, saw my drawing, and said “aww I like your silly little cartoon!” LIKE HELPP I did not intend for a customer to see my shitty rick doodles. 😭 it was very flattering though haha. It’s also very funny that she had no idea what rnm was and assumed that Rick was my own character
At first, I didn't understand it, but now I believe I do. There are infinite Mortys, but this one is shown to cause problems, to argue with Rick, to not just do everything Rick says, and Rick hates that. But despite that, despite all the problems Morty causes, Rick never replaces him, this is why he sees it as irrational, this isn't even his Morty, there are infinite versions of Morty, and he's attached to this particular one. The grandson of his worst enemy. The grandson of the guy who killed his wife across infinity. Yet he would do anything for him. For this Morty. He has a coupon for a free replacement Morty, so he can't just say that it'd be too much work to replace him, but at certain times, like in this episode specifically, it's actually more work to get him back rather than just replace him. I find that so interesting, he cares about this Morty, he would sacrifice himself for this Morty, he would do anything for this Morty, not any other Morty, but this Morty in particular. Rick Prime's grandson. That's why he considers it an irrational attachment. And Morty thinks Rick doesn't care about him at all.
