“Neapolitan” Gshade preset collection comes with 3 different presets, depending on what you want the vibe to be!  (Click on the pics to enlarge the previews of them, I really strugglebus with formatting on tumblr, so bear with me! The pics are unfortunately not as sharp as they actually are, trust me, the presets look better in game) I named it Neapolitan because it reminded me of the trio of ice cream flavours I ate as a kid all the time. It also suits the vibe of each one, so that helps! 

“Strawberry” Is the preset I use currently for my own gameplay. It is vibrant and pops the colours just enough so it doesn’t burn your eyes out, but retains a bright and cheerful vibe.

“Vanilla” Lives up to its name by being just the right amount of different from the original EA vibes but slightly brighter and adds a pop of more vibrancy and smoothness.

“Chocolate” has a moody, almost autumnal vibe. It leans more warm, mysterious and I’m surprised by how much I like it in-game; since I tend to go brighter and vibrant. I should’ve taken screenshots of it in a forested area, but this already took my whole afternoon so, the previews are what they are lol

I am VERY picky about Gshade presets, and so I made sure that the things that bother me the most I fixed when I made these presets. They are as follows:

1) Not heavily blue-green, like EA’s ugly lighting

2) Neutralizes the overly yellow tones in EA’s whites

3) Doesn’t make sims look basketball orange

4) Doesn’t make sims of colour (especially black sims!) look washed out

5) Are gameplay-friendly, and don’t bleach out the UI in game so it’s unreadable

6) Are the vibe

ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING before the download: If you go into your game and you’re like “???? why is this preset making my game a little slow?” PLEASE go and click on your MXAO settings and turn the quality down. My computer by some miracle can handle it on ultra, but it can make your computer slow if it can’t handle it. It is easily fixable by turning it to Medium or lower depending on what your computer can run.

Also, I used ADOF for the screenshots, which is a depth of field shader, I turned it off, so if you want it on in your game, just type it in the search bar and turn it on :)

TOU: Do whatever, just make sure you link back here and don’t claim as your own. You can edit them to your preference, but please don’t re-upload them without giving credit to the original.

Requested by some lovely anons :)

I didn’t bother changing the name I originally saved it as, so that’s why it’s called what it is. I just name them randomly tbh

Anyways, SassyFrassy is a Gshade preset From a while ago, and I didn’t take any new screenshots with it which is why the previews are kinda random and all over the place. But I think you can still get the sense of what it looks like in different lighting situations.

It doesn’t white-out the UI so it’s fairly gameplay friendly. Search for and turn on ADOF if you want the depth of field shaders that are used in the wedding pic. Be aware as well, that the colours may look different depending on your monitor settings.

This is one of my fave presets now that I look back at it, so I hope you like it :)

TOU: You can of course edit/tweak the preset to your liking. Just link back here to the original and don’t take credit if someone asks about it.

Marigold - A Gshade Preset.

This is a pretty old preset, from when I first started messing around with Gshade and its settings, so it’s tweaked VERY slightly, because the previous one was heavily on the yellow side. I basically just turned down sepia a bit. I don’t use it for my game now, but someone asked for it, so here it is :)

Marigold is a fairly lightweight Gshade preset if you have Cinematic DOF turned OFF. The scenery pics have it on, but obviously for gameplay you can switch it off. It brightens the game a bit without being really oversaturated, and doesn’t blow out the UI in-game and in buildbuy.

Here is a creamy preset for Reshade 3.0.6. This preset is has DoF, and has a dreamy feel to it! It’s a little intense so it may not be suitable for gameplay, but it makes for beautiful scenery and storytelling shots.

To activate the Depth of Field blur press CAPS LOCK, press it again to turn it off. I have it set to focus the camera where your mouse is so use that to focus and then go into tab mode to clear the screen of the UI before taking a screenshot with PRNT SCREEN (the screenshot button can be changed in the SETTINGS tab of your Reshade console).

Other settings I have included on hotkeys are L for bloom/flare, and K for ambient light filter as both of these settings can make the UI a little hard to read, so I have them on toggles.

TO ENSURE THAT DOF WORKS, BOTH EDGE SMOOTHING AND POST PROCESSING MUST BE OFF IN YOUR TS4 SETTINGS!

You can have multiple presets at the same time, there will be a drop down list at the top of your Reshade console to switch between them!

Here is a clean and bright preset for Reshade 3.0.6. This preset is simple, just a little brightening and a little saturation boost. It’s meant to be used for every day play, and the UI is still reasonable with this preset. There are no DoF settings.
