Part 1 (you’re here) | part 2 | Part 3 | part 4
Tumblr media
The rain hit the roof of the marui you shared with Tsu'tey. You sat wrapped in a thin blanket, that did little to keep you warm, you looked at the fire burning in the middle as silent tears slipped down your face. Your mate, Tsu’Tey returned to your marui, Jake by his side. Jake said his goodbye’s, knowing Tsu’tey would want to be with you alone.
Tsu’tey sat beside you, wrapping his arms around you “yawne, talk to me” was all he said to you. You could laugh, he hadn’t called you 'yawne' in years. But you showed no emotion, the only hint being the tears dripping down your face. He hated when you were like this, when you went silent.
In your mind there was nothing to say, nothing that would replace the silence left behind. The laughing, the cheering, even the yelling between brothers. What could you say to replace the silence? You choked out sobs. Begging the great mother to bring back the son that was stolen from this world too soon.
“Speak, my love” he said. You licked your cracked lips, and took a deep breath, before letting your words out in a sigh. “The child” you said, beginning to shake. Tsu’tey put your head to his chest “I was meant to protect him!” you cried out. He sighed “we both were…”.
Tsu’tey fell asleep not long after, having wanted to rest with you in his arms. But you could not sleep, you gently removed his arm from around your waist. You snuck out of the marui, making your way to the edge of the pier. You dipped your feet into the water and looked back at the past years with your mate.
When Neteyam came along, and soon the other children, you and Tsu’tey promised Jake and Neytiri to protect them. You watched them when Jake and Neytiri would leave, and Tsu’tey was trying his best to keep them safe from Sky People.
*several years earlier*
“I told you not to call me that” you snapped, Tsu’tey rolled his eyes “If you don’t want to be called a skxawng, don’t act like one”. This happened because you had let the children out of your sight for one minute and Tuk had crawled off, she didn’t get far, only a few feet before Neteyam picked her up. But Tsu’tey acted like she had just crawled into a minefield.
“She could have been hurt! What then?” He yelled, you flinched at his words “then I would have taken her to Mo’at” you said calmly. Tsu’tey huffed “that is not good enough!” Your bottom lip trembled “I’m sorry it’s not good enough then Tsu’tey! I’m so fucking sorry! I’m sorry I was looking after Kiri!”
Kiri had gotten sick, nothing serious, just a cough and some sneezing, but she couldn’t keep up with the other kids as easily so you had to help her. You heard cries from the doorway of the tent, it’s was Kiri and Lo’ak, Kiri had tears in her eyes and Lo’ak was hugging his sister.
You pushed past your mate to comfort the children, you hugged Kiri and tried to shush her. You picked her up and held Lo’ak’s hand, you looked at Tsu’tey “we’ll finish this later”
You didn’t finish that later, nor what felt like hundreds of other fights that came before and after. Over the years you and Tsu’tey grew distant, you had given up on the dream of having children of your own with him, but the children you looked after made it all tolerable. Watching the children play when their parents were gone was the light of your life, but you always had to go back to a tent with a mate who didn’t give you a second glance.
Sometimes you questioned why Tsu’tey and you even stayed mated. You convinced yourself that the war must have changed him, but hang onto hope that the man you love would come back. The one who you used to sit looking at the stars with, dreaming about a small family one day. The man whose eyes locked with yours when Neytiri told him she and Jake were mated, knowing he could now be with the one he loved.
*back to present*
Not much had changed over the years, Neteyams funeral was the first time that Tsu’tey had held you in what felt, and you were honestly convinced had been, years. He ran between you and Neytiri, multiple times you had pushed his affections away and told him to go see if Neytiri was okay.
You sighed, feeling someone sit beside you. It was Kiri, and wrapped your arm around her like a mother would wanting to shield her child from danger. Tears ran down both your faces “he-“ Kiri let out a sob “she says he is happy, that he is at peace” she cried. You nodded, smiling “that’s good, Kiri, I’m so glad” she smiled too, but you could see she was struggling.
“What is it?” You ask, she looks you in the eye “he could have been at peace here” she cried, breaking down into sobs. You pulled her into a tight hug, crying with her as well “I know sweetie, I know” you heard the bridge creek yet again. You didn’t have to look to see who it was.
“Kiri” was all Tsu’tey said, she broke away from the hug and she ran off. He tried to reach out and stop her, but she was already gone. “She blames herself” you stated, Tsu’tey turned to you, you sighed “she thinks that she and the kids are why we are no longer close”.
you got up, making your way back to the pod when Tsu’tey grabbed you by the shoulders, not hard, but enough so you would stop. He looked in your eyes, searching for a question he dared not ask.
But you answered anyway “we are no longer close, Tsu’tey”. You could’ve sworn his bottom lip trembled when you said that. He hugged you close, as if he thought the physical act of holding would cure the emotional gap.
“How long… How long have you felt this way?” He asked, and you laughed, not because there was any humor in it, but because the question answered itself. “Ever since you stopped loving me” you laughed, you laughed like you were losing your mind. Your legs gave out from underneath you, and Tsu’tey helped you down, horror written across his face.
At this point, the few na’vi that were out were looking at you, you didn’t care. Tsu’tey was saying something to you, but your laughing and the ringing in your ears made it impossible to hear him. He picked you up and carried you to his ikran. The least he could do was get you away from prying eyes.
You remember your laughing turning to crying, then back to laughing, then it all went black.
Tsu’tey landed on a random island, he wrapped you in a blanket and placed you next to his ikran. Looking at you he realized, this isn’t the first time he caused you sadness, this was not the first time you’ve felt this way, this was not the life he promised you when he made you his mate, and this was not the first time you had lost someone you would’ve done anything for
After notes: I don’t love how this came out, I might update it later and/or make a part 2

Looking over the crowd everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. Everyone but him. Tsu'tey would never admit it aloud though. There was shame in admitting you'd rather be anywhere but your own engagement party.
Eyes briefly scanning over you entering the crowd, he quickly stopped for a double take. The sight of you caused his breath to catch in his throat.
It was foolish really, to think you wouldn't show up. Of course you would be there. The celebration was for the future Olo'eyktan after all, everyone would be there. But still, seeing you caught him off guard.
Looking up you caught his gaze. Tsu'tey's intense eyes were locked on you, leaving you feeling exposed before him. Offering him a small smile you watched as his rough exterior melted slightly. Only you had that effect on him.
Gracefully you weaved through the crowd. Your radiant smile was on full display as you greeted people. Tsu'tey felt his heart pinch at the sight. He wanted to be the cause of your smile.
Before he could think about it his feet began taking him towards you. He stood before you not saying a word, he resembled a lost child.
"Oel ngati kameie Tsu'tey." You gestured towards him. Your smile never quite reached your eyes.
"You're here." He breathed.
"Of course. You are my future Olo'eyktan and my friend. I am here to show my support." You nodded.
Friend.
The word stabbed at his heart. He didn't want to be your friend, not when you held his heart in your hands.
"Can we talk?" Fighting the urge to touch you he kept his fists glue to his side.
"Tsu'tey." You sighed. "We can't. Not with everyone here."
"Then let's leave." He pleaded with you. "Please Y/N."
"I don't think that's a good idea." You looked up at him pained. "You know it will change nothing. We can't go back."
"I don't know how to go through with this without talking to you first." His eyes clouding over with tears.
"We knew this would happen. No regrets, remember?"
"I know what we said, but-"
"Go back to your party Tey." You interrupted him. "Your betrothed is waiting."
Tsu'tey watched helplessly as you wandered back into the crowd. An arrow to the chest would hurt less than watching you walk away.
He knew this would eventually happen. He was chosen to be Olo'eyktan so he was to go through with an arranged marriage. But how could he when his heart was no longer his to give?
He loved you. He saw you. There was room for no one else.
Tsu’tey’s love for his people also ran deep. He felt that he was chosen for a reason; he couldn’t let his people down. No one ever questioned Tsahík for she interpreted the will of Eywa.
But there you were, beautiful as ever, freckles glowing under the bioluminescence of the night. The sight made him question his resolve all over again.
Tumblr media
You couldn't pinpoint when exactly it started. It had just always been him. Your heart beat for him and him only. The day you found out he reciprocated your feelings something inside you was lit aflame. The warmth in your heart had yet to subside.
The two of you had crossed the line of friendship long ago. Suddenly sweet kisses and hand holding were no longer enough. Your late night talks turned into late nights without much talking.
You slept soundly tucked away in his arms knowing that he was yours and you were his. Tsu'tey planned to take you as his mate, he all but told you so. He wanted you and no one else.
When it was announced that he was to be the next leader you felt as though your world was crashing down. Tsu'tey's future mate would be the next Tsahík and you were not her. You were just a common member of the clan; you weren't special or significant in any way.
The last thing you wanted was to break things off with him. But you knew what you had to do. Tsu'tey would be an excellent leader and you couldn't take that from him. You'd be damned if you robbed him of that great honor.
But there was a selfish part of him that refused to let you go. So every time you attempted to end things with him he never really listened. He was too focused on your lips to hear the words flowing from them.
"We still have time." He interrupted you.
"This won't last forever Tsu'tey." You mumbled. "We should quit while we're ahead."
Deep down he knew it wouldn't last forever, but that wouldn't stop him from trying to get there.
It went on like that for months. You would try to end it, but then he would kiss you and you melted. How could you ever say no to him?
"Tsu'tey." You wined as his fingers danced across your skin.
This was a dangerous game, you both knew it. You were playing with fire, practically daring your heart to break. But you couldn't bring yourself to care. Not when he whispered sweet nothings into your ear as his hand dipped into your loincloth.
You came completely undone under his touch. Melting like putty in his hands. You belonged to him. Body and heart you gave it all to him.
You treasured the nights spent tangled with him. Your love was untamed, the two of you completely blocking out what was to come.
One day these moments would become distant memories. You tried to live in the present as much as you could. Attempting to commit every last part of him to memory while he was yours.
Because you knew, it wouldn't last forever.
Tumblr media
Tsu'tey hadn't slept at all that night. It was becoming increasingly impossible after he became accustomed to sleeping with you in his arms.
The morning light stung his eyes as he stepped outside. His mind was on autopilot in his drowsy state. Tsu'tey didn't remember walking to your home, but that's where he found himself.
"Tsu'tey?" You questioned when you noticed him outside.
Guiding him in you made him take a seat. Your heart clenched at the sight of him. The dark bags under his eyes an indication of his lack of sleep.
"Are you alright?" You hesitantly questioned. He shouldn't be here.
"No." He grumbled.
"Why are you here?" You hated being so formal, but he was betrothed now. You no longer had any claim to him.
"I don't remember why." He mumbled.
Tsu'tey was lost without you. The distance was making him lose his mind. He started pondering giving up on his duties. He wouldn't mind if in the end he could have you.
"Oh Tsu'tey." You sighed. This was like stones in your heart. But you had to be the bad guy. The one to make the tough call. You wouldn't allow him to throw away his future for you.
"Do you regret it? Regret us?" He asked almost fearful.
“I regret the timing. The circumstances. But not you. I would never regret you.”
Nodding somberly he seemed somewhat satisfied with that answer.
“I keep thinking if things were different.” He spoke.
“No. Don’t do that to yourself. Don’t do that to me.” Tears clouded your vision.
“Yawne.” He whispered.
“Don’t call me that.” You whimpered. “Please do not call me that.”
Tsu’tey went to reach for you. His protective instincts kicking in the moment he noticed your tears. Immediately you pulled away from him.
“You act like this is not hard for me. This is killing me, but one of us has to take things seriously.” You said as your arms wrapped around yourself.
“I have accepted an offer of courtship.” You sighed.
“Who?” Tsu’tey asked through gritted teeth. He was seething with anger at the thought of someone trying to claim what was rightfully his.
You shook your head at him. You knew Tsu’tey like the back of your hand. You wouldn’t allow him to do something regretful in his blinded jealous rage.
Tsu’tey sighed in defeat. It felt real now. You were no longer his and he would never be yours again. His heart that once burned bright with his love for you now felt like a flickering ember.
He wanted to wish you the best, but he didn’t think he was able to. Selfishly, he didn’t want to wish you happiness when it wasn’t with him.
“I think you should go.” You wiped away a few stray tears. “I’m so sorry.”
Without another word Tsu’tey got up to leave. Turning he took one last look at you. Tears were still streaming down your cheeks. You offered him a weak smile.
“I hope you know I wish you happiness. I truly do Tsu’tey.”
In that moment he wanted to rip his heart out and offer it to you so you’d never be apart. It was already yours.
“Goodbye yawne.” He whispered before he left.
As he walked back towards home tree he realized that the two of you together now only existed in his memories. Your shared love now officially a thing of the past.
Nobody said that it would last forever

EVERY CORNER OF THIS HOUSE IS HAUNTED. (1)
Tumblr media
Synopsis ! Jake had taken you as his own after Tsu'tey's passing, leaving no one to care for you. Things had been good before your relationship with him had blurred along growing of age. You and him fought all the time; argued each other's ear off and tonight was no different-- except words have been said, severing the already damaged bond. Content & warning Jake sully x Daughter!Reader, Sully kids x Sister!Reader Neytiri x Daughter!Reader. (wc; 3104)
Tumblr media
Jake knew a saying; held onto it ever since he had resided amongst Na’vi– every person is born twice. While he believed that it meant that the second time is when you earn your place here in Pandora, Eywa had a clever way of broadening the idea. His very children were proof of it.
He thinks it’s the great mother’s way of compensation, perhaps a second chance for him to do better– to do his very best to keep them alive on behalf of those he lost.
While Kiri was a special case enough, you too were an odd one.
You are Tsu’tey's daughter. Turns out, he had someone in secret while he trained to become olo’eyktan– when he was supposed to take Neytiri for himself. It was taboo– absolutely wrong to become unfaithful to one’s mate. But following the carnage of the great war, when Tsu’tey had so selflessly sacrificed his life, only then did Tsi’ewa came forward; told everyone of their love and what could have been. She was a simple songstress along Ninat, but it was her round and bulging belly that caught everyone’s attention.
It caused an uproar and understandably so. After all, Neytiri had only announced her rebellion with Jake not long before, but when the people connected the dots themselves and both stories had become one, they understood that their hearts merely yearned for another and no one should have ever dictated otherwise. Arrangements had been made and condolences were exchanged— everyone can only look back and wish that things could have been different.
Jake was supposed to take you under his wing as a way of honoring him– he owed Tsu’tey his life and perhaps an apology as big as so. But after your mother had unfortunately died during your birth, he knew to himself that he had to take you in; not as a responsibility, but as his own blood and flesh. His first daughter.
You were the loudest baby, he recalled. That day, Jake had rocked your body back and forth in his arms frantically, while Mo’at and Neytiri did everything within their power to help Tsì'ewa. Your cries were ear-splitting, enough to wake the whole clan up.
“Just what do I do with you,” He muttered under his breath, eyebrows knitted in frustration– just where do he hold you? Is he doing it right? Are you hurt? Why are you crying so loud?
“Jake, the baby!” Neytiri’s shout from inside had cut his train of loud thoughts, snapping back to your bawling. He wasn’t doing such a good job.
“I’m trying, Neytiri– this thing won’t budge.”
Neytiri had emerged from the hut, stomping her way to Jake with a scowl. "That is not a thing, you skxawng!" she exclaimed before gently scooping you up from his arms, cooing softly to you– though it was more like mocking him instead. “Does Jake here make you cry?” She said, patting your thigh soothingly. “He’s not at all pleasant to look at, but you have to get used to it.”
Almost in an instant, your cries had died down. You babbled along with her, like you were agreeing with her every word. He slowly pulled himself closer to Neytiri, eyes wide with curiosity as he watched your small hands playing with her long braids. “Heh, she has Tsu’tey’s eyes,” He whispers, unable to look away.
The flap of the hut swinging open was the only thing that got their attention, momentarily away from yours as they looked at Mo’at with anticipation. With a single shake of her head, sorrow surged their hearts, eyes traveling back to your innocent ones. They mourned for you; an unknowing child should never have to carry such grief. They had to make a choice– A responsibility they weren’t expecting to have so early.
Jake mindlessly trails his finger down your stomach, gently, like you were the most fragile thing. Your little hand wraps around it and it was like you had binded his scattered thoughts into one big understanding.
Sully. You’re one of them now.
Jake releases a breathless chuckle as he gazes upon his lover and you with a newfound clarity, a perspective so bright it illuminated in his very eyes. Then came an idea– the desire of having children of their own. Perhaps that’s why Neteyam came after only two years. You were quite the ploy; the push they needed to start a family.
You were truly blessed– the genius of your age was undeniable, your remarkable talent soon earning you the admiration of all who had seen it. By the time you turned six, you had already mastered many of the abilities that a hunter would need– your skills with a bow were unrivaled by most of the children your age, let alone those who were much older than you. They'd marvel at your accuracy each time you took aim with an arrow. You could never miss. You had to make sure you didn’t.
By the age of 12, you had already accompanied Jake in hunts. You had developed a knack for planning, coming up with routes and back-up plans that were often surprisingly effective. You have proved to be helpful plenty of times. You were quick, silent– full of poise. They often wondered if you were an old, seasoned soul trapped inside a little girl’s body.
But as quickly as the spotlight had shone down on you, it left almost as soon as it had come.
(“What you did today was reckless, y/n.” Jake settles his bow on the table aggressively, emitting a sharp thud. You were just as frustrated, throwing your satchel down the floor of the hut.
The mission had gone rather wildly, with things not going along the plan. There was another airship– one that no one was aware of. Your instincts jolted your body, immediately throwing an explosive towards it which had it blowing all over the place– its pieces crashing and causing a wildfire.
Jake argued that there could’ve been a more safer way. One that didn’t have to risk more of our resources and supplies; one that didn’t have to injure the other warriors. Of course you knew to yourself that you did the right thing. You did what you had to do.
‘You could’ve been hurt and got others killed! Just what were you thinking?” He continued to berate you. You jest that if this went on, there’d be steam visible above his already heated head.
“I had to take a risk– not everything goes to plan and this is proof of it.” You answered back with a scowl, “If I hadn't, there would’ve been more casualties.”
“That’s not a call for you to answer to! Jesus Christ,” Jake runs his palms down his face, grunting, before looking back at you– expression suddenly tired and soft. “Come on kid, where’s that sweetheart who always listened to what I said?”
You had scoffed, a hurt forming on the pits of your stomach. “That sweetheart once had a place in plans before.” You said, eyes unwilling to look at him. It weighed in your heart heavily– why did people assume that you were the only one who changed? You didn’t understand. “Pretty sure the Jake before was a good listener too.”
The wrinkle in between his eyebrows deepened in confusion, but he never was one for confrontation. With a single dismissive grunt, he turns his back against you. “I’m way past your attitude. You’re grounded. Go.”)
As you grew, the resemblance to your father became ever more apparent. Jake started noticing the many similarities between the two of you; the way you walked– how you sauntered confidently through a crowd. Your braids would move along your heavy steps (and perhaps, that’s where Neteyam got his mannerism of swaying his too.), shoulders wide and proud. You even had his signature snarl, something Tsu’tey was known for that unfortunately seemed to have been passed down to you too.
However, it was more than how you brought yourself. You were strong-willed– stubborn.
There was another thing about you too. You didn’t call Jake dad anymore. It hurt him– left a heavy feeling on his chest every time you regarded him so distant. It was unfair that you still called Neytiri mom, why did it have to change with him? He didn’t have the heart to address it. Couldn’t ask you what went wrong.
Because he knows damn well why.
Lo’ak was enough of a headache, but you were a different kind of royal pain in the ass, more like a personal problem. It was tiresome. Petty. There was not a day that you and Jake wouldn’t argue and bite each other’s ass off– and yet, there was never a day where you two would talk it out. The fights would blur itselves out and before they knew it, things would be back to normal, only for it to fall out again over something small. It was routine. The only thing normal for you both.
He missed you– missed his baby. Just when did you grow to become so distant? When did he start to overlook you?
You’ll admit, you might have indulged in the folk’s gossip. They always had a story for everything and they have plenty about your father. Tsu’tey was a fit olo’eyktan. He had proved so in his training and determination. Of course it was a low punch in the gut when the throne had been passed to an outsider– a demon, most of all. It was unfair, he knew it wasn’t right. A washed up marine had taken something he had worked for like it was nothing. Like he was nothing.
You pitied your father and you feared you’d be like him– like nothing.
And history might just repeat itself. You weren’t clueless– wasn’t blind to the fact that Jake had trained your brother more. He adored him so much that the very moment he was in the right age to train, you were off to fend for yourself; trained all alone while Jake went over the routine with Neteyam like he did with you. You remembered waiting for him every afternoon because he promised that he’d make time– that time was yours and yours only. But as the light bled and neared eclipse and you were too cold to wait outside, you learned never to wait again.
They would come home soon after– smiles on their faces and a handful of apologies for you.
Soon enough, your suspicions proved you right as the people started to talk again; Neteyam– the golden child. He would make a good olo’eyktan.
Perhaps that would explain the drift between you and Neteyam too. Could they blame you for it? You had lost their attention so early– while you still needed them. You weren’t their kid and you were reminded of it everyday. In times when you didn’t know if you had space in the family hammock while they sat together, telling stories under the starry sky. You pretended to have fallen asleep everytime; back against them as you listened. In times where the family was growing and growing, until the small table wasn’t big enough for everyone anymore– or in this case, for you.
(“Come on, ma’ite, what are you doing so far from here?” Neytiri had called for you when she noticed how distant you were from everyone. You silently scooted beside her, wooden bowl in your lap. “Look, I prepared your favorite.”
It wasn’t. You hated it. You hated the tangy taste of it so badly. But you had decided to eat what was left on the table after everyone had gotten their meals and there wasn’t usually enough for you. Neytiri thought nothing of that– didn’t think that you eating only scraps and dried fruit was because there wasn’t anything else for you to have. She simply thought that it was your favorite and had been making it for you ever since.
You didn’t have the heart to tell her. Not when she thought she had been doing well with preparing it. You kissed your teeth, smiling tightly as you lifted the food to your lips, eating silently. “Thank you, it’s good.” You muttered under your breath after.)
But you were family; they said so themselves. When they tucked you in to sleep, when they patted your head. They were still present now, just not in the way you wanted– not in the way you longed for. It seemed like making them angry was the only way you could have their attention– particularly, your dad. You could never make Neytiri mad. She tries to understand you, she does. Explaining now just seems so.. Petty. So childish, you decided to push her away instead.
What do you tell her? That you only let dad blow a fuse or two was because you missed him? Because you didn’t know what went wrong?
So there goes your routine.
“I just don’t understand why I can’t be olo’eykte.” You had brought up again, lips in a familiar snarl. “You tire me and for what? Kiri is already training to be Tsahik– just what would my place in this clan be?”
“We are not having this conversation again, y/n. Not tonight.”
Jake had just returned from a particularly bad hunt; went home empty-handed and with a patience as thin as a strand of hair. He continued to sharpen his dagger, movements almost aggressive. Everyone immediately went out of his way, not wanting to be on the end of his temper– not you though. You could never get a hint, it seems.
“Yes, tonight! My ceremony is almost near, sir. I have been waiting.”
It wasn’t like he had a reason anyway. Jake couldn’t tell you because he had no reason as to why. Why couldn’t you be olo’eykte? You had all the skills to be one, even more so. But in the back of his mind, a thought so deep and petty that he couldn’t bear to say, tells him that the name he carried was something to gift his eldest son. Olo’eyktan was a privilege reserved for Neteyam. He never thought to have you so early– he always dreamed of having a son first.
“Wait more.”
“This is insane– sa’nok!” You had turned to Neytiri, eyes pleading. She quickly grasps your arm and tries to tug you back towards the exit, speaking in a soft but firm voice as she tries to soothe the tension.
“Ma’ite, why don’t we go out for a walk?” She whispers. To be frank, she was tired of this– never of you, no. But at the way things had been. Parents aren’t parents automatically just because they have had children of their own. It’s a skill they have yet to muster– to truly understand. She didn’t know where the line between you and her had blurry along the years. Didn’t know where this constant need of yours to be seen came from.
You jerked your arm away from her, almost too harshly. It tugged on her heartstrings, not knowing what was going on with you. “I cannot wait anymore.” You said, taking two steps towards Jake with an unreadable anger– an anger he didn’t know when had stemmed from.
“Is it because I’m not your daughter?”
His eyes widened. A flash of vulnerability visible in his gaze, momentarily softening his glare. “You stop this right now, y/n.” He had stood up, tucking the dagger back to his loincloth. Jake’s larger frame towered over you, telling you to drop it– to leave the conversation. But you weren’t backing down.
“I am your eldest–! You trained me earlier than Neteyam, I have been here long enough–”
“You aren’t ready!” He had shouted with the same fierceness, earning a dirty look from Neytiri.
“Why won’t you see me?” Your voice had softened, borderline begging– just a bit, but enough for his ears to flatten in response. He knew that beneath those few simple words lay many layers of underlying meaning; emotions that have yet to be spoken.
But he turns his back against you dismissively anyway. “Neytiri, get her out of here.”
Neytiri grabs you by the arms again, although a bit forceful now, but just enough for her to touch you– to have you in between her arms. She embraced you, like she was trying to keep the words from escalating. She feared one of you would say something out of line; something you both would regret.
But on the brink of the tension– the severity of the situation, you had muttered. Your voice was muffled, but it was clear. The message was oh so crystal. “You took everything from my father.”
Jake grunts, “Yeah? Well maybe your father wasn’t enough either.”
“Jake!” Neytiri hisses and although Jake couldn’t see her, he knew very well he was getting quite the conversation with his mate too.
It was a low blow. Unnecessary. A straight strike to the gut. It was a pain so bitter, you didn’t want it to linger any longer– you were nauseous. You wanted no more than to vomit everything that spiraled out of your stomach.
“You want to lead so badly and you can’t even control your temper. No clan wants a hot-head for a leader.” But he kept going– relentless and cruel. “You ought to be someone else’s shadow.”
“But I’m your daughter,” Your tone had softened, almost cracking as the lump in your throat grew. Tears blurred your vision, threatening to escape as Neytiri held you close.
“And yet you never listen to me— because I’m not exactly your father, yeah?” With one last glance, he stepped out, passing his children who stayed just outside the door, listening. Jake opens his mouth, desperate to ease the tension– the discomfort written in their faces, but he quickly shuts it and continues to walks out. He had said enough for tonight. There was nothing saving his face from this. It was best if he left instead.
“Oh, ma’ite.” Neytiri rocks her body along yours, drawing soothing circles on your back but the embarrassment settles in your chest– gnawing at your body. You catch a glance of the pitiful looks from your siblings as they try to enter the hut silently.
How could you make a mess out of yourself in front of them? Why had you let this blown over?
You retracted slowly from your mother’s hold, wiping your tears before running the opposite way from where Jake had gone to. It was better if you left instead.

Child of Our Own - Tsu'tey x Omatikaya!Reader
summary: seeing his friends already awaiting their firstborns, tsu'tey begins to yearn for a baby of his own, but he is too shy to tell you about it
warnings: none really, soft and shy tsu'tey, hints at pregnancy, mentions of intercourse
wc: less than 1k
a/n: i'm officially in my tsu'tey worship era (this is your fault btw, @avatarbyamara) ik damn well that man only puts up his tough act in front of the others, but he would actually be a big softie with his mate
masterlist
Tumblr media
“I’m assuming the mission went well?” you smile, feeling Tsu’tey place another soft kiss on your temple.
His chest presses into your back, hands resting gently on your waist, while you’re occupied with peeling the fruits he likes. He was gone for only a few hours but was acting so needy, you start to wonder if anything happened.
“Tsu’tey,” you nudge him for an answer, but he only hums in response, now planting small kisses across your cheek and jaw.
“‘Was good,” he mutters, not wanting to bore you with the details.
“Were you safe?” you try to turn around to examine him, but Tsu’tey grunts, holding you in place.
“Just missed you.”
You guess that there’s something weighing on his mind, but you don’t push him. Tsu’tey often has moments, when all he wants to do is to hold you in his arms and listen to your soothing breathing. Eventually, he’ll give you a few hints about it anyway. So, you just pat his arm lightly and return to the task at hand.
Tsu'tey stands with you in silence for a while longer before finally speaking up.
“Neytiri is showing.”
“I know,” you nod, “It suits her.”
As you struggle to reach for another fruit from the basket, Tsu’tey huffs in annoyance and loosens his grip on you. He takes a step back, hating the distance between your bodies, but decides to allow you to finish your work in peace. You can feel his eyes fixed on you, observing every move you make.
“You’re very quiet today,” you turn around to face him, abandoning your task.
Tsu’tey only shakes his head, disagreeing to voice his concern. You rest your hand on his shoulder, gently pushing him down, until he gives in and kneels on the ground. You crouch down next to him, resting your hand on his thigh.
“Talk to me, tìyawn,” you murmur.
Tsu’tey gazes at your hand in silence. But when you lean in to kiss his cheek, he turns his head, catching your lips with his instead. It’s not long before he snakes his arms around your middle again and pulls your body onto his. You giggle, as he sits you down in his lap, enjoying the closeness between you two.
“Right now?” you quirk your eyebrow at him, knowing exactly where he is leading with this.
Tsu'tey's lips find their way to your neck, and you let out a soft sigh as his warm breath tickles your skin. You tilt your head to the side, giving him better access, and he trails a few more kisses before nuzzling his face into your neck.
“‘Aani said that Ti'ung is with a child too,” he whispers, catching your attention.
The two of you have mated before Eywa almost a year ago but Tsu'tey never pressured you into becoming a mother so soon. Just for a while, all he wanted was to have you all to himself. To enjoy restless nights with you without a worry of hurting you or having to share you with anybody else. The first few times you mated, you watched him struggle, as he was holding off the unbearable pleasure, before pulling his member out of you and releasing into his hand instead. Presumably, it became a thing he did every time, and you’ve grown so used to it, that you never once paid a second thought to it.
He was always so respectful and gentle with you, loving every bit of your body, every sound that would escape your lips. And despite his readiness to move into the next stage of your lives, Tsu'tey never allowed himself to impregnate you without earning your permission first. But what he failed to realize is that while you were trembling underneath him, reaching your orgasm, you were never able to think, let alone speak about wanting him to release inside of you.
“What are you hinting at, Tsu’tey?” you pull slightly back to look into his eyes.
“That it might be nice if, growing up, our child is surrounded by a few good kids,” he answers.
“Well, I’m sure Neytiri’s and Jake’s child is going to be just as good as they are,” you nod, agreeing, “And Aani’s and Ti'ung’s too.”
Tsu’tey hums, grateful that you finish his thoughts for him. That you know him so well, see him through and through. Being a man of a few words, he would often get irritated when others failed to understand his thoughts. But with you, it's different. All he cares about is that you see him for who he is, no one else.
“We need to catch up then, huh?” you grin.
Tsu’tey feels his chest swell with love by the way you look at him. So excited, so desperate to create a life with him. He pulls you in for a kiss, pouring all of his gratitude into it, as his hands reach for the ties of your loincloth. You don’t hesitate to reciprocate his desire, and soon the two of you become lost in each other.

Baby Fever
Tumblr media
A/N: You are responsible for your own media consumption. MDNI 18+.
Pairing: Tsu'tey x Fem!Omatikaya! Reader,
Word count: 1917
Synopsis: Tsu'tey returning from a trip and being met with an unexpected request
[Previous] // [Next]
Tsu’tey had been away from the clan for some days he looked around as families gathered greeting their missing family members he went off in Search of his mate he found her by the riverbank washing
"You have been avoiding me,
Ma Yawne ." Tsu'tey sounded softer than usual, as he stood behind Skyler.
She smiled hearing his voice
"Tsu'tey you're back! " she quickly stopped her work rushing towards him , she nuzzled him. She had missed him after not seeing him for weeks he had been gone to meet with another clan .
He leaned his head back and closed his eyes against her soft touches, his face warming as he felt her presence. His arms encircled her, and he let out a warm breath. "It has been too long." Tsu'Tey's voice was full of emotion, as he took in the scent of her skin, and their closeness.
"How was the meeting ?" She asked, "It went fine ." Tsu'Tey paused for a moment, before he lifted his head to look down at her, his expression softening as he took in her features.
"Did you miss me?" " no it was actually so calm and i didn't wake up because of snoring or being crushed under your body " she teased him. He smirked at her bold words. "Watch your tongue, my wife." Tsu'Tey voice was playful as his brows lowered, and his stare became more intense.
"Or what?" she taunted she playfully shoved at his chest His eyes narrowed, and his fingers tightened on her shoulders as he leaned over in a mock threat. "I will throw you over my shoulder," Tsu'Tey replied, not backing down from her playful taunts. "Maybe I can add a new scare to your collection " she nipped at his neck.
He didn't flinch, even as her teeth flashed. There was no escaping his grip on her, and he pulled her into an embrace.
"You are quite the feisty thing, aren't you?" The navi whispered as his voice became tender. His eyes roamed over her features.
She kissed from his neck up his jaw
Tsu'Tey closed his eyes and tilted his head back, as he felt the sensations of her lips against his skin.
He was lost in the pleasure of her touch that he let out an involuntary purr, and he pressed himself closer against her. She giggled hearing the large warriors purr. Tsu'Tey broke off the kiss, and looked up at her with an amused
expression. "Perhaps I've been too gentle with you," *he said, his voice dripping with sensual innuendo.
His hands wandered over her shoulders, as he smirked teasingly. She pulled him over to a secluded area of the lake. Tsu'Tey allowed himself to be swept into her embrace. His arms wrapped around her back, as he rested his head against her, before he noticed their location.
"Skyler...what are we doing?" The na'vi asked, as his gaze darted about. The area was deserted, and isolated.
"I don't think I can wait till we get home " Tsu’tey’s gaze widened as he heard her words. The navi was not one for rash decisions, and he was about to protest, but his protests died in his throat as she began moving her hands along his torso.
A sudden surge of desire ripped through the navi, and he let out a deep growl. She smirked hearing his growl, she looked up at him.
Tsu'Tey breathed heavily as his body responded to her touch, and he struggled to maintain his composure. Despite having already experienced this sensation multiple times, the effect of her hands on his skin was like a drug. The navi gripped her hips and pulled her close, his gaze locking on hers. "Easy my heart we have time" she cood kissing him gently. Tsu’tey calmed himself as she spoke, and he eased up on his hold on her.The na'vi could feel his body shaking from the effect of her touch and the need to mate.
He had never felt like this with any other female. He gently pushed her away from him, taking a breath to clear his head. "You are correct," he said slowly, with a hint of a growl in his voice.
She caressed him gently,His breath hitched as he felt her hands on his skin, and he clenched his fists to keep himself from dragging her down to the ground.
Tsu'Tey's expression twisted as he tried to control his mounting desire.
"Do you have any idea what you do to me?, it makes want to breed you, watch you grow with my child " The navi asked, through gritted teeth.
She gave him small pecks on the lips between kissing around his neck and throat
He grunted as he felt her lips on his neck. The pecks felt like daggers to him, and his body responded in turn. He had never expected her to be so passionate, and his body was on fire.
Tsu'Tey closed his eyes, trying to maintain the last of his control as her lips continued to move up and down his neck. She moved his hands onto her hips " please muntxatan , I want a baby of our own "
Tsu'Tey froze as she spoke, and he didn't even react as his hands found her hips. Every part of the navi's body felt as though it was on fire, but more so as her words entered his ears. Had she just said what he thought she had said? "You want a child... of ours?" He echoed her words carefully. She nodded " I want many babies"The notion of her wanting children made Tsu’Tey's body tighten with desire. He'd always wanted a large family, with at least four of five children.
He grunted as he felt the effects of her words. Tsu’Tey was more than eager to start their family right away. "You want many babies..." He repeated, his words laced with a growl this time.
She nuzzled at his throat The small gesture of affection pushed Tsu'Tey to the brink. His hands tightened around her hips, as he leaned over her, his expression filled with passion.
The na'vi pushed her body against a tree behind her and began kissing her roughly, grunting against her mouth as he parted her lips with his tongue. She let him , His kissing became more heated as he lost himself in her taste, and he pressed his body against hers. He needed to have her right now, and he began moving his hands along her waist, wanting to strip her down.
She let out little moans and gasps. His lips moved from her mouth to her neck, and he bit softly into her sensitive skin. “Ahh!” She cried softly. As he heard her gasp of pleasure, his grip tightened on her hips. He bit harder into her sensitive spot, and he began trailing kisses down to her collarbone.
_______________________________________
With satisfaction and relief, Tsu'Tey lay upon the ground with Skyler curled in his arms. The na'vi waspanting heavily as they had just had the most intense mating session in years. His heart was pounding loudly as sweat dripped from his brow. The na'vi felt as if he had run several miles, and he ran his hands down her body slowly, relishing in their closeness. She nuzzled into him " you were a complete beast my heart" she said smile in her voice. Tsu'Tey chuckled as she spoke, and he wrapped an arm around her. His body had never felt so relaxed, and his senses were still heightened as he registered her touch against him. "You brought it out of me..." He replied, his voice gentle and playful despite the raw passion he still felt. He leaned down and kissed the top of her nose.
She lay against him " I really did miss you”
Tsu'Tey smiled, and his grip on her tightened just a touch. It felt wonderful to be in her embrace. The na'vi had always enjoyed their time together, but it had not been the same when he had been gone for weeks with the others. "I missed you too..." He whispered softly, as his fingers caressed her skin. She sighed softly, Tsu'Tey rested his chin on her shoulder. Their breathing had settled down, and the sun was slowly beginning to set. He felt calmer now that his desire had finally been sated. The navi took in the scents of the forest and their intimate surroundings, feeling the effects of the mating session begin to fade.
She kissed him again, TsuTey had not expected her to kiss him again, and he jolted a little at her touch. He could feel his desire being awakened once more, despite his own judgement. His grip on her had slackened, and he leaned into her touch, despite himsel… She nuzzled him, Tsu'Tey's body tingled in response to her touch. The navi held back from pushing her to the ground and taking her again. He had grown older, but their desires still burned intensely.
His hand moved from her hip to her back, and he traced soft circles along her skin. He let out a small huff as he tried to hold back, and he squeezed her body against him. She rested against him "Do you think you can go again?"
She teased. His body tensed at her comment, as if she had jolted him awake. TsuTey chuckled as his gaze roamed over her body. "I think I can manage," he replied, with a playful smirk.

Tsu’tey as a Girl Dad
lil headcannons cus i’m bored and have no motivation to finish my stories rn IM SORRY
||
Tumblr media
definitely was silent by your side during the birth, didn’t want to annoy you with any comments cause he could tell the amount of pain you were in
let you grip onto his hand like you were gonna break it, hurt him a lot but he wouldn’t let you let go of him even tho it made him lowkey shed a tear
gives you a kiss when the baby is finally out, thanking you and congratulating you first before he coddled the baby
notices the baby has his eyes but your facial structure, dies from happiness
check all over his daughter to make sure everything looks okay cus he’s obsessive over his girlies like that
.
if his daughter starts crying late into the night he forces you back down to sleep so he can take care of her and soothe her
goes hunting early morning so he can spend the rest of the day taking care of both of you
even though you’re no longer pregnant he grew the habit or not letting you do much, so he braids your hair still, puts your top and loincloth on, cleans up for you etc
brings back pretty flowers or colorful woods/craft material and gives to his daughter, makes her small beads that you put in her hair
.
once she’s grown up she’s an ABSOLUTE daddy’s girls, he tends to still look over her as if she was a child and scares away any potential mates like, “come near my daughter again and i’ll skin you”
he taught her how to hunt efficiently, didn’t allow anyone else to do it because he wanted to make sure she wouldn’t get hurt in someone else’s care
he even crafted her own dagger when she came of age
tsu’tey literally cried when she claimed her first ikran for her coming of age, you had to hide his face because he didn’t want others seeing him so vulnerable
you were dying laughing
your daughter was embarrassed though, like “daaaaaaaad stop you’re embarrassing me right now!” mid wrestle with her ikran
sets a strict curfew for her because hello??? tsu’tey starts panicking if she’s late or even goes out cus he’s so protective
you have to make sure he’s not overbearing though and that she can have some actual freedom as other teen na’vi do
let’s her friends come over because he literally can’t say no to her, you then force him to clean up the mess they made cus you told him only two friends were okay but he agreed to like five
you love seeing them bond. seeing them hunting together, making new weapons that match, putting matching beads in their hair so all three of you match warms your heart sm.
he always shows her that the biggest/shiniest bead in his songcord is for when she was born, made her cry when she first found out.
overall he’s definitely a girl dad u cant tell me otherwise

all parts - next part
┌────── ⋆☆⋆ ──────┐
It was all you had dreamed of since you landed on Pandora. To be with the people, to walk beside them. Well, behind them. You weren’t exactly welcome.
You still remembered the day you were chased through the forest with Jake, jumping into the waterfall on nothing but a will to live. You remembered Neytiri jumping in front of you, saving you both, you had never been more thankful and terrified of someone in your life.
You remembered how a group of men on direhorse threw ropes around your feet then continued to lead to the Hometree. It was surreal, to be with them. To live among them. But it wasn’t how you had hoped.
You hoped to meet with them, learn there culture and be able to retell your findings when you returned to your natural form. Yet, it was nothing like that.
It was because of Jake. He was the warrior of the ‘Jarhead’ clan. God, he was so intolerable but yet he was the one person who could understand your struggles of being with the people because he was right there beside you.
But with all you efforts over the years to learn about the Na’vi, it was nothing in comparison to him being tutored by Neytiri.
On the night when the Olo’eyktan decided to keep you both, it was rather a keep the man and his dog. They thought nothing of you, just another sky scientist. So, you weren’t entitled to Neytiri’s teachings, you were entitled to stare from far away and hope that maybe you could gain a bit of knowledge from observing the pair.
That’s what you were doing right now, crouching down hiding behind a lush shrub looking at the two talk to Tsu’tey as Jake sat in a puddle of mud. Maybe you weren’t missing out on too much?
Resting on the balls of your feet and long fingers keeping the bush apart you peered onto the ongoing scene. But Tsu’tey had disappeared. He must’ve gone off in a hurry, it wasn’t like he enjoyed the company of you two aliens anyway.
“You. What is wrong with you?”
“FUCK!” You jumped in fright falling to the ground looking up at an unimpressed Tsu’tey from above you. Your heart felt like it was beating out of your chest as you tried to regain your composure, shying away from the looming figure.
“Go home. You will not embarrass yourself like that there.” You desperately wanted to go back to your human form, but it wasn’t worth it. This, what you were experiencing was ground-breaking to your studies. Plus, Grace would skin you.
Pushing yourself off the ground, brushing the dirt off your grazed knee your stared up at him. How do you even respond to him? He was terrifying. Such a powerful figure it seemed stupid to stand up to him.
You were no Jake. You wouldn’t ridicule the future leader, and you were no ‘warrior’. You were truly just a useless being to them. Nothing to learn, nothing to gain.
“Tsa’hik has medicine for that. Go” You wished your feet would move. God, this is so embarrassing! Are you really paralysed in fear? Because of Tsu’tey. It’s laughable. You tried to move, but all you could do was stare into his unimpressed eyes and wish your link failed so you could escape this hellhole. “Are you ill?”
“No.”
“Then why are you not moving?” Sometimes you were grateful you learnt Na’vi so you could have more in depth and intellectual conversations with the people. This is not what you imagined your conversations would be.
“No. I am.” Tsu’tey scoffed at you. Fuck. What if you just died. Didn’t come back. Met Eywa and apologized for the inconvenience.
“You alien, should go. Fix whatever is wrong with you.” Yet he wasn’t leaving. You pleaded that he would leave in a huff, upset at stupidity. But he still stood there!
“I am afraid of you.” It was a meek whisper. Something you should never of said as your heart beated aggressively against your ribs as if it was trying to escape its chamber.
Tsu’tey let out the heartiest chuckle as he stared down at you. Crapcrapcrapcrapcrap. Oh how you wished your feet weren’t bolted into the ground. He was genuinely amused. This was easily the funniest thing that had happened to him recently. And it was definitely going to be a story he was going to retell later on.
“So are children alien. You are like a child.”
“Thankyou.” You sneered up at him, still too embarrassed to meet his harsh gaze.
“Do you know where Tsa’hik is?” He tilted his head, his long braid falling over his shoulder as he peered down at you.
“I do not.” You tried to shovel down the shakiness in your voice, you could definitely cry right now.
“Of course, you don’t. Because you don’t belong here. I will take you to Tsa’hik. I would do it for a child.” He motioned for you to follow him as he rode off towards the base of the Hometree. “Hurry up alien child!” He laughed at his jokes as he pointed to you as he looked at other Na’vi also giggling at you as well.
What the fuck is your video log going to be today. ‘Got made fun of! Great find!’ This sucked! While Jake is learning the way of the people, you’re the people’s newest comedy act.
Dragging your feet to the Tsa’hiks room you were ushered to sit on a woven colourful mat in the middle of this section of the tree. Adorned in decorative items and many medicines and herbs you found yourself being stared down by Mo’at.
“She grazed her knee falling from a squatting height Tsa’hik.” Tsu’tey still managed to find a way to make fun of you even when he was talking to a superior.
Mo’at scoffed at you, mumbling something under her breath you did catch a few words. But they’re not necessarily for repeating. “How did you fall?” Mo’at’s intimidating voice caught you off-guard. You didn’t think she would speak to you directly.
“I- um. Tsu-. Tsu’tey startled me.” It was an insane struggled to get out, to admit you had a slightly serious graze because the man chuckling behind you scared you shitless.
“Ah.” She couldn’t find it in her to hide her disappointment apparently. Shaking her head, she applied a pungent medicine to your knee. Surprisingly, it didn’t sting the only sensation was that it was particularly cold for a paste that had been sitting in the open. “Maybe it is useful to do some stuff around the village. We do not welcome demons, especially not parasites.”
Parasite? That is what she thought of you. Oh, that’s just lovely. It felt like your stomach decided to go skydiving and take a miles high leap out of your body.
“Send her back. She is parasite, not needed.” Tsu’tey said this sentence in English. He needed you to understand it, it was his every intention to. It hurt for some reason. Well not some reason he had said something incredibly hurtful. But it was so deserved, so justifiable. Didn’t mean it wasn’t incredibly upsetting to hear.
“We cannot. Jake is an odd dreamwalker. A new demon. She must stay as he does, it is Eywa’s will.” He was silenced at the mention of Eywa. No one would question her intentions not even yourself. “She must learn. You will teach.”
“What?!” Tsu’tey voice boomed out echoing throughout the hollow tree. Is this how Jake felt that night? Because the taste of bile was growing in your throat as you stared at the huffing man. Nononono. He cannot teach, he’ll slit your throat the minute he has the chance.
“She will not be a hunter, no warrior. But she can learn the ways of the people. Teach her Tsu’tey do not question my decisions young one.”
“….yes Tsa’hik…”
Times like these you wished you could go back to your human form. So that your emotions wouldn’t be so easily understood with the swish of your tail and movement of your ears. Still sitting on the floor of the Tsa’hik’s area your ears were pressed against your head and tail swishing quite frequently.
“Go to the river to wash off the paste soon. It will stain your skin.” Mo’at told your before you were being harshly stared at by Tsu’tey. You were yet to understand the way Na’vi must telepathically communicate. It wasn’t even a millisecond after Mo’at finished that she had gave Tsu’tey the look to take you to the river.
You just wished you could understand those looks as well. “Come now. We walk.” He was so assertive it was frightening, the way he commanded you with a single order, you were so respectful of his place in the clan. It did make him like you slightly more than Jake.
“Do not kill her.” Mo’at said harshly to the tall man as you felt that bile rise to your throat again. Kill. What a word!
“I did not plan on it.” Tsu’tey smirked as he wandered off expecting you to follow but you didn’t. You just stared at Mo’at for reassurance. A simple nod to say ‘Yes! Big scary man won’t murder you!’ and she must’ve sensed your desperation.
Mo’at gave a curt nod and ushered for you to go with him with a flick of her hand. With the reassurance of the Tsa’hik you walked with Tsu’tey. Well, behind Tsu’tey to the river.
Every step was awkward. The past on your knee was starting to dry and made cracking noises every time you bent your knee. The crunch of the leaves under both of your heavy feet were the only conversation between the two of you. Eventually, after the short walk. Though it felt long due to the silence. Was finished at the sound of the flourishing waterfall meeting your ears.
It was so powerful, yet so beautiful. It reminded you of something. But nothing was coming to mind so you decided to just focus on the rushing sound as you ended your journey.
“Well done demon. You made it.” His deep voice rumbled in his chest, he thought he was hilarious.
“Thankyou.” You knew it wasn’t a compliment from him, but what else were you to say. Jake would of found a better comeback but you couldn’t.
“You are funny demon.” He said it so nonchalantly but to you it felt as if your heart bursts into a million butterflies. A compliment from a Na’vi felt so special, you felt slightly appreciated. And for it to be from Tsu’tey made it 100 times more meaningful considering how much distaste he has for you and Jake.
“Thankyou Tsu’tey.” Your genuine smile was one he had not seen yet. It was a new expression. Obviously, it looked familiar as it was on the body of a Na’vi but there was something so bright about your smile he couldn’t shake off. It was just something weird he assumed. Demons do weird things especially when they’re in bodies they’re not meant to be in.
“The paste must come off. Or else your knee will be yellow for weeks.” You nodded and hopped into the water. It was about knee height, so you had to bend to move the water over your knee completely.
“Is there a specific way to get it off. It is a foreign medicine to me.”
“It’s foreign because you don’t belong here.” Tsu’tey was just so harsh with his words, they were said with so much power, yet he felt sincere. It was odd. So odd. “Give me your leg.”
“What do you mean? HEY!” Tsu’tey had grabbed your injured leg yanking it into his arms making you twist and fumble trying not to go headfirst into the water.
His long fingers wrapped around your shin as he used his other hand to cup water into his hand and covering the yellow paste. Every time you fumbled trying to balance he let a ‘tsk’ leave his mouth. His fingertips felt as if they were being burnt into your skin as he gripped your leg tightly.
“Stop moving. I am getting the paste off.” He looked harshly into your eyes, his golden iris’ staring straight into your own.
“I’m trying!” it was an exacerbated statement. Tsu’tey saw the way your ears flicked down and you tensed all the muscles in your abdomen to try and stay still.
He felt a pound of his heart call out to him to not be so harsh. But why? You were nothing but a demon. A complacent one, but still a demon. You were better than Jake in his books. You listened stayed out of trouble, didn’t hang out with his future mate. But you were so odd. Nothing like any of the other demons. You were too complacent, too shy, too fearful. It was odd. Maybe that’s why his heart pounded.
With a final scrub the paste was gone and he let you leg down gently, an abrupt change to the quick and harsh picking up of your leg before. “Thankyou Tsu’tey.” He simply hummed in reply giving you a curt nod. This wave of confidence had overcome you. It was like you felt dizzy with courage. “Tsu’tey.”
The way you said his voice was weird to him. It was pronounced so clearly as if it was the only word you had learnt to say in his language. “Yes?”
“I know that..uh never mind.” The confidence vanished as soon as he stared into your eyes once again. His whole body facing towards you, his mind and soul focused on the words coming out of your mouth. It was too intimidating especially now as he waited for you to say more.
“Speak. What do you know?” His deep voice was memorizing, the way his chest rose proudly every word he spoke. He was so intriguing.
“I know that you don’t like me… and that I do not belong here. But I would like to help, I don’t want to be a p-parasite.” The word parasite stung on your tongue, and it was obvious how Tsu’tey winced at the word as well.
Truthfully, he regretted saying it so clearly to you. He only regretted when he saw the way your tail swished and the shine in your eyes. Maybe that’s why he felt crazy. Maybe that’s why he felt kind towards you. Maybe that’s why he agreed so fast.
“Only because you are smart, not stupid like Jakesully. I will teach you demon.” He reached out to grip onto your shoulder. It was a moment you don’t think you’d ever forget. The way his fingers held tightly onto you, his eyes looked so sincere and the usual scowl on his face had disappeared and turned in a stern look on promise.
This was the look of friendship, of teaching, you were about to learn the way of the people.

Right when it occurred, something did not feel right. There is an odd sensation stirring in the hollow of her stomach. It could not be the adrenaline that had taken its course within her body for she had anticipated it, nor could it be the minor, barely visible cuts created by the Sky Demons’ graze of foolish weaponry for while it burned only the slightest bit, it wasn’t extreme enough to draw pools of blood.
Grunts of an odd, internal wound left her yet she, with all her restraint, refused to acknowledge it right then and there and gently patted the side of her ikran for she too felt it, she too felt the distress, the slight yet sudden tear of something, of someone apart from her sole rider. Golden eyes waste no second in searching, mind voicing for her ikran to halt the strong, frenzied flaps of her wings.
She shuts out the sounds of the Sky demon’s flying equipment, the war cries the Na’vi created, and waits. Waits and observes, observes and listens, straining every one of her senses; frantic became her gaze as the feeling within her spiraled, harsh and swishing became Pandora’s winds as it surged through her limbs, aching swirled her heartbeat, lips whispering faint murmurs, longing for the presence, the call of him.
A pair of ears, belonging to the woman who had bound her life to him under the will of Eywa, hitched high and flickered at the agonized screech which sharply pierced through the air, coming from a specific aircraft until it soon began its descent down to Pandora’s ground. She wasted no second in trying to comprehend where, who the cry derived from, and the ears once chirped high faltered for a brief second as she picked it apart while panic, fear, the scorching pain corporeally and spiritually exceeded throughout her as she did.
Wretched. Agonizing. Appalling.
The cry which ripples from deep within Tsu'tey's lungs, clawing through the inward flesh until it reached the base of his throat and had been unleashed, is to be described as those precise words.
“Tsu’tey!”
Actions transpire before thoughts could be formed, her high chirp commanding her ikran to acutely glide down, right towards where the prolonged blue frame plummets down, the harsh ruffles of the branches due to her reckless speed being disregarded despite the gnashes they sliced across her striped flesh.
The churn spasms furthermore from the core of her being; burning, afflicting, and it is when she reaches him, the one bound to be her mate soon, her Tsu’tey lying on the grassed ground, that she is met with the dejected notion weighing upon her.
Despite the physical agony he is currently experiencing, he feels her — his serenity, the compliment to his being, the support and sustainment to his unbalanced character — close by. A palm clasps below his chest piece just to cover, to perhaps hide from her that he is hurt. His innards burn, gnaw, coil with each breath he tries taking. He coughs and despite the burn of it, he calls out to her.
“Y-yawnetu.” ( loved one )
“Ma Tsu’tey –”
Yet she is already rushing to him, descending onto her knees right beside him. She did not know where to begin. Act nearly transpired before thought once more, until she catches the way he holds himself. The pain submerged from not just him but her with each hurried step she had taken, each ragged breath she had taken, and so when her hand reached to touch just over his wounded chest, it became vivid, blistering.
A violent racketting envelops him entirely at the feel, a grunt spewing from his lips and it instantly makes her touch retract from him, hissing more so in distress at the notion of her mate being injured at the hands of them. Not even them, but guided by their coward minds and dastard hearts with what they called a gun.
Her mouth parches, her throat tightening as she tries to speak through her anger and pain. “T-tsap’alute si ( I apologize ). You are hurt, w-we have to get you to–”
His head created the smallest head shakes only for him to wince rather visibly, reaching for her hand. “Stay. T-touch –”
Hesitantly, she did as he said though she notices his discomfort and instead goes to cradle the upper curve of his head, but there’s slight space between for with the bit of strength he carries he uses to keep his head up.
The pressure of her palm rumbles a sound from his chest and she notices how his jaw narrows, how his ear winces. “Hurts?”
“T’s n-nothing. Fine, I’m fine.” He breathes in before his long fingers loosely wrap around her forearm, and his browline tugs down at the dry blood latching, the gnashes littering her skin. He, even in this situation, firmly states rather than questions: “You are hurt. T-they hurt you – did they–”
“I am fine, tiyawn. I am fine – my fault. I was rushing to come to you –”
His sharp eyes blaze and upper lip curls over his teeth as he hisses. “Must be more c-careful! Demons could have…have killed you. M-must think now more than ever —”
“ I will – but I am fine, I promise.” She assures and with her other hand she cradles his jaw, feeling it condense before trying to get him to calm down for she sees how agitated he became.
“Syeha si ( breathe ), Tsu’tey. Tsyeha si.” He exhales then tries to inhale only for the passage of his throat to obstruct with a gush of something; iron tang distastefully becoming one with his taste buds, the sudden swarm of liquid causing a choke-like sound to form at the back of his throat. Fearful, she wastes no time in moving the current hand on his head to the upper backside of his neck to slightly elevate him despite his strained protest.
“I— fine. I am fine–”
Her other hand leaves Tsu’tey’s cheek and goes to the base of her throat, right over the beaded necklace crafted by his very hands, the very blood stained hands that tear from his wound and reach for hers to stop her from acting. “ You are not fine! You are wounded, for Eywa’s sake! We must call for help—”
She watches how Tsu’tey tries to resist crumbling his features when her fingers brush up his neck, halting just right below the start of his kuru. He watches in anguish as the irises within her golden hues dilate, nearly becoming one with the other. She feels it undone, the braid, and with it undone, it is unprotected yet for whatever cause would it be? He feels the ghost of her touch over its bareness lurk down, and he grunts loudly as he shifts to stop her. “Ma yawnetu, please–”
But now the simple act of doing so becomes toilsome and painful, provoking an excruciating groan out of him and she’s haste in halting him from creating any more movement. “Ftang (stop).”
Tsu’tey is apprehensive, forming the weakest scowl as she gives him a pointed look. Perhaps it was because Tsu’tey was in her presence – the woman who succeeded to take his stoic mask off, to soothe the scowl constantly twisting his face. It was then that she found herself seeing him better then he saw himself – who he truly was, is, and bound to become. To her it was a must to be by his side, and to him it was an odd yet yearning-to-the-bone necessity to have her with him, to see her the way she sees him.
So with that, he releases a ragged breath but lets her and she resumes her act — not near enough to make contact with it, but near enough for him to feel it hovering. Enough for him to choke on a gasp and clutch onto her forearm when she reached the end which rested right by his side.
She too feels the sensation of it, of what he’s feeling in this second, of what he’s been feeling when he met the ground. She feels him, the one who's supposed to be her mate, experiencing the most indescribable pain there is for the Na’vi: the only true connection to the wonders within Pandora, to their Great Mother being torn off. To the one bound to be their mate for eternity.
The notion crashes down on her stronger, becoming sole with the ache stirring within. She says nothing for a long time and tries pushing through the muskiness enveloping her vision, wanting to take him in; colorants of yellow and ebony streaked boldly on the sides of his scalp, and she recalls being the one putting them there, she recalls how all the tension and worries seemed to have faded away from Tsu’tey when the lovely strokes of her paint-dipped fingertips specifically striped upon certain parts of his angular features as well, somewhat enhancing them and his azure tones – yet now the color scheme was assisted by blemishes and smudges of red, and the fierceness he once carried before this battle occurred vanished. This is an entirely different Tsu’tey that no other has ever witnessed, — and if it weren’t for one of the reasons being that he was too damaged, too hurt and strained, she would have smiled softly down at him and bathe him in all the love and happiness there was within her because of him — one even she hasn’t witnessed — the closest ever being was when Sylwanin passed.
“Let me take you to Tsahik. You are Olo’eyktan. I-important and must stay alive, let me call for help so we can take you back –”
“I am far too injured for Tsahik to fix this. There is a battle happening at this moment, woman. We cannot let this interfere. They all need to fight for our People. Our home.” he grunts , nose scrunching at the raise of his tone. “And a demon weapon striked me…sa’nok died from it. Even if we try, it will be too late—”
“Toruk Makto will know what to do.” she quickly interjects. “He was one of them, h-he will save us. Will save you, ma Tsu’tey. He will not leave the People without their Olo’eyktan. H-he —”
“Then he will be the one to lead the People.”
He can’t fight the subtle twitch of his lip at how her ears perch at this, and she frowns deeply, just like he expected her too. She didn’t dislike Jakesully while she was wary of him at the beginning. Yet he earned trust, a rightful place among the Omaticaya. Even so, that place was not, isn’t, what Tsu’tey is suggesting.
“But he…y-you are Olo’eyktan. Our guidance, our leader.” she takes in a sharp breath and blinks rapidly as he stares up at her. “You…you are to b-be my mate. And I yours, yes?”
Purple swelled beneath the ebony striped beneath Tsu’tey’s eyes, pronouncing the anguish and disappointment lodged within his pupils, weighing down upon him. His lower lip quivers when he grabs ruptured queue, and it takes everything in him to not yell.
He speaks through sputtered syllables. “I…I c-cannot ride again. Cannot be guided with the voice o-of Eywa. C-cannot lead the People and be strong Olo’eyktan because of this –”
The smallest whimper he made causes her to hold back her own, ears catching onto the way his breath hitched. He releases his hold on his queue and let’s it falls back to his chest in order to apply pressure to evict the constant drain of blood even though at this point it is inevitable. His other hand tries to grasp onto something, anything to sustain himself. She is quick to grab it, guiding it towards her, right above the part he painted over — fingers dipped in turquoise-colored paint at the beginning yet now taints with the boldness of crimson, the length of his fingers curling from the curve of her shoulder while his palm had pressed above the side of her chest right near her heartbeat, the closest thing he was to ever feeling.
He finds grounding, he finds the guidance of her heartbeat, of her touch but it isn’t nor will it ever be like how it’s supposed to. Inhaling through flared nostrils, as if preparing to say the words he wished so desperately to not be true, he utters the words that unfortunately confirmed her very thoughts:
“But overall…I-I will not be able to form tsaheylu with you, yawnetu. You will not have a true mate. A-and I will no be able to feel you…to truly have you under the will of our Great Mother.”
It was effortless to push away the wretched feeling ripping inside of her — but stubbornness is almost as if it is one with her. Something Tsu’tey both adored and despised at times – and in this case, he isn’t exactly certain which he feels right now.
A sob heaves from her chest, feeling so utterly pathetic when tears continue welling in her eyes. “K-kehe ( no ). You have always had me — no matter tsaheylu. You’ve felt, known and seen me, ma Tsu’tey. I feel, know and see you then and now. Please let me continue — let us go—”
“Oeru yawne ( my love )…” The expanse of his palm slides up to her neck, gently enveloping her drenched cheek and weakly frowns at how he’s grimming her beautiful face with his own blood. It is too much; the raw truth of it all, the rasped breath of his tender words, the quivers of his palm due to his pain, tears cascading from her eyes and coating her cheeks, him giving the mantle to someone else and accepting it, the sinking fact that the first and only thing she can and will ever solely, truly feel from Tsu’tey, the man who she’s chosen to be with for the rest of her life as he has chosen her with no hesitation, was him hurting, him processing it with the same pace as she is.
He says nothing for a second, simply letting himself scrutinize and adore her and gather his words. “It is worse to go through this life without purpose than to die. A-a feel without you, oeru yawne, has no purpose.”
“And a life without you has no purpose!” Her voice grows harsher, words broken. “Is that what you want to do to me, hm? Leave me with no purpose?”
“You will have the People—”
“It isn’t the same! A-and so will you if you choose to see the light of this—”
“Ma Y/N.” It isn’t firm, his tone when saying her name. But it is enough for her to stay quiet, ears flattening at the sides of her head.
“Me…just being me will not suffice for the People. And while I am more than happy to know that it is sufficient for you… it is not for me.” The octave of his voice is tremulous, barely audible to ears as he peers up at her. “Not when knowing I cannot satisfy those around me — it will not be enough from my part…for them. For you. Especially with everything you have given me.” He gives her one of his truest smiles despite the red that now streams out the corners, coughing afterwards.
The pad of her thumb swats the blood away, knowing what he was doing with his words. She badly wants to frown at him, to tell him it is not the time to be smiling but she can’t help the pure allure she has to his lovely expression. She can’t help herself from tilting her head and questioning, “What have I given to you?”
“Patience. Peace.” His eyes close a second as he sighs. “Even through grief, through loss and chaos, you chose me. It is as you say; you’ve felt and have known and seen me. While my mind was to be dutiful to the People…my heart was purposeful to you.”
Nuzzling into her touch, he breathes out, “and now I accept this — because I’m in the presence of you. It is…a bit more peaceful.”
“Y-you skxawng.” she chokes out for she doesn’t know what to say and instead lets her forehead shadow over his as he chuckles. But he feels it, feels what’s channeling from her mind, heart, soul, and it’s enough to bring him much more tranquil.
The bleeding from his chest does not stop, but at this point he doesn’t care anymore. Instead, he removes his hand from the spot and loosely curls around the hand that has not left its spot from his cheek. Fingers tenderly knead the flesh of her wrist while the other still cups her face, thumb stroking the apple of her cheek. Eyes taking her in, the sensations she now only faintly ignites within him, and he groans lowly at how those blazing, loving emotions clash with the shock that is coming together. The reality, the acceptance of not being the one to guide the People, of not giving her the future she truly deserves, the acceptance of it all.
She doesn’t want to accept it however. Not now, not yet. So all she can do is nod, swallowing through the lump within her throat and let’s herself softly touch him; the fading specks across his nose, the beautiful markings of his forehead, the sharpness of his cheeks, the quiver of his lip as he inhales curtly, eyes closing for a solid moment. It is ridiculously unbearable now, pain pulsating in sharp waves through his body.
“Hurts?” She tries evading her gaze from the red spiraling down his blue skin, from his severed kuru. He shakes his head and lets his hold press a bit more against her. “No more…fine. I’m fine.” he gently coaxes his lie with a subtle twitch of his mouth, wanting to reprieve her from feeling any more anguish for him.
“That — that is good.” she returns his expression, professing her own belief in his words to spare him his strength in trying to console her. But how he slightly hears it in the way her breathing becomes frantic when his own starts to falter. The extent of his wounds are as he said; too great and severe for Tsahik to cure, and the heart's wrenching notion that he’s near his end slowly starts to seep past her obstinacy.
Faint cries of what seemed to be cheers chime through the sky, and he can’t resist the sigh of relief that emerges. “That is a good sign. Very good.”
She nods but doesn’t tear her attention from him. She watches how his bright orbs shift beneath his shut eyelids. When they come to view again, there is slight agitation. More ache accompanied by sorrow, all of it spreading from the core of his being. “Yawnetu.”
Her tail lashes in fret. “I am here, Tsu’tey — what is wrong?”
“C-call to them…it is almost time.” His words stammer violently, grasping much more onto her when he gasps. Her coils furiously shake across her shoulders, nose scrunching, lower lip trembling when she sobs. “not yet…n-no not yet. I cannot lose you! P-please—”
“My stubborn girl,” he grunts quietly when his red stained mouth manage to smile. “You will never lose me. I…I am more than certain we will see one another again. But now the People, Toruk Makto must know he is to lead them. And I need you to help me let him know.”
She desperately nestles her cheek against his hand for a moment, sniffles and nods before craning her neck forward and placing a light kiss over his forehead. “W-whatever you wish, tiyawn.”
She does what she is told while he listens, the voice of Jakesully being heard, wasting no second in confirming he is on his way with the others.
Feathered kisses are met with his temple now and across his forehead, his eyelids, his nose, his cheeks — but lastly his lips. Not caring for the blood tainting them, only for the sensation they soothe her soul with, she gives him one last broken kiss.
She focuses entirely on Tsu’tey, respite emerging deep from within his lungs while desperately trying to give him one of her breaths as if it’ll spare him, tender fingertips grasping his face in an anguish manner as he too tries meeting her halfway.
The hand on her cheek goes back to her shoulder, gently pulling her closer. Her thumbs brush down his cheeks, outlining the structure of his jawline. “I feel you. I see you, oeru Tsu’tey.”
The tip of his nose nudges her when his forehead finds its place over hers. “I feel you. I…I see you, oeru Y/N.”
Those are the words he finds himself mouthing to her one last time, the only pair of brilliant, loving tearful eyes that he sees, the last swarm of peace that wavers with Toruk Makto’s shadow as it envelops his dying body.

“Again,” Neytiri demanded as she held up another arrow. His previous one soared into the distance, missing its target completely.
Jake reached towards it before his hand faltered, “can’t we take a break?”
Netytiri looked taken aback, offended by the idea of stopping.
“No,” she began, “I was told that I will teach you, so that is what I’m doing. You can stop once you’ve hit the target.”
Jake creased his eyebrows, his frustrations growing along with the Na’vi beside him.
“A five minute break won’t kill anyone.” Jake grumbled, snatching the arrow from Neytiri.
“Fine, then let us stop. I will not teach you any longer.” Neytiri’s words are firm. She had already decided.
“That’s not what I-” Jake started but Neytiri had already disappeared from his sight, “meant.”
Taking a deep breath, Jake tried to get his bearings, all he felt like doing right now was eating dinner and sleeping. Slowly but surely, Jake made it back to Home Tree, passing all of the clan members gathering to eat dinner. Some of the children had tried to stop him, begging Jake to eat with them but he declined stating that didn’t have an appetite but promised that he would eat with them next time, when that would be, he wasn’t sure.
Y/n dismounted her ikran, gathering her belongings and giving it a gentle pat on the neck before it took off again and she leisurely strolled towards Home Tree. Many clan members who passed greeted her enthusiastically which she reciprocated.
As she neared the centre, y/n spotted Neytiri entering, a scowl set deeply onto her face. Marching in the direction of the Healer’s tent. As she watched, Tsu’tey approached her, a pleasant look on his face.
“You have missed a lot during your time away, cousin.” He informed, resting his weight on his bow, “I almost felt the need to come and fetch you myself.”
“Is that so? And what is the big event I have missed?” She questioned, turning towards him slightly.
“Another sky person has come, he wants to learn the way of the people.” Tsu’tey’s voice was full of disdain as his eyes danced across the people around them. “And the Tsahik has instructed Neytiri to teach him.”
“Ah, I see. That’s why she looked so displeased.” Y/n hummed.
“I guess it is the result of another failed lesson. It is hopeless, he will not learn.” Tsu’tey scoffed.
“With attitudes like that around, of course, he won’t,” Y/n concluded, pointing a finger at Tsu’tey, which he knocked away.
“Well, we know how this will end, won’t we?” Tsu’tey questioned, his voice growing dark.
“Oh, stop it.” y/n said, rolling her eyes, “there’s no need to be like that. Not all humans are the same.”
“I’ll agree with you when I am proved wrong.”
Rolling her eyes at him again, Y/n bid him farewell. Not wanting to have this conversation with him. Again.
She walked through Home Tree, to the healer’s tent where she hoped her father would be so that she could show that she had returned in one piece and only one or two scratches. As she approached the tent, she noticed that a few healers were waiting outside trying to keep themselves busy.
Y/n slowed as she heard Neytiri desperately asking her mother to somehow change her mind about something, she also heard Eytukan being the voice of reason between the two women. Hesitantly, y/n entered the tent to see Neytiri standing before her parents with a look of pleading on her face but her mother looked unmoved. In the corner, she noticed her father tending to an unconscious hunter whose arm was bandaged from his hand up to his chest.
Y/n silently greeted the family by raising her hand to her forehead and moved out of their way over to her father whose back was currently facing her.
“I’m back, Father.” She announced, keeping her voice low to not interrupt the conversation happening.
In one swift movement, y/n’s father stood to his full height and brought his daughter into a warm hug. Which y/n reciprocated.
“I missed you,” He said into the crown of her head.
“I missed you too.”
Y/n’s father ended the hug and held his daughter at arm’s length, his eyes scanning her body for any sign of injury.
“I am well, Father, I promise,” Y/n reassured, smiling at her father.
“I know but I need to see for myself.”
Y/n smiled again before pulling her father into another hug.
“Tonowari sends his regards.” She mumbled against his chest, “he is well also.”
Y/n’s father nodded again, a faint smile gracing his lips at the mention of his daughter's friend. “I am glad to hear it.”
On the other side of the tent, Mo’at could feel her patience wearing thin with her daughter's incessant pleas to not teach the human their ways.
“You brought him to us, Neytiri. It is your responsibility.”
“I bought him because there was a sign from Eywa.”
“Exactly, a sign from Eywa that can not be ignored and since it was you that brought Jake Sully to us. It is your responsibility to teach him our way.”
“But it is not fair Mother, please.”
“You are the future Tsahik of this clan. You should not be giving up so easily.”
“But if I no longer want to teach the sky person, I will have more time to learn all that I need to be Tsahik.”
“She is not wrong, my love.” Eytukan chimed in, “If Neytiri steps away from being Jake Sully’s teacher, she can spend more time learning how to be a Tsahik.”
Mo’at took a deep breath and looked at her daughter earnestly, “Very well, and who do you suggest will take your place?”
Neytiri’s back went rigid at the thought, “I have to choose?”
“Yes. You don’t want to teach Jake Sully, so you must choose who is taking over your responsibilities.”
Neytiri took a deep breath and started going through the list of names in her head but she knew none that she thought of would want to teach a human the way of the people. She momentarily stopped at Tsu’tey. He is the clan’s best warrior and is well respected but he has proven that he has a strong dislike for the humans and has been making snide comments at Jake every time he made a mistake in his lessons. Neytiri was sure if she left Jake in his care, there would be no more Jake Sully.
Reaching the end of the list, she got to y/n who was coincidentally standing across from her family, held in her father’s embrace. Neytiri knew the girl well enough. Her late sister's best friend, the pair would spend a lot of time together along with Tsu’tey and little Neytiri would beg to tag along. As the four of them grew up, y/n floated around the clan making friends. A social butterfly who seeks adventure.
After Sylwanin died, y/n seemed to be away from the clan more. Travelling to different parts of Pandora. She would return with a bag full of things she had collected and stories that the younger clan members would climb over one another to hear. She continued to be friendly with Tsu’tey, which was understandable since their families were extremely close but she had slightly drifted away from Neytiri but was still very kind. Although they weren’t particularly friends, her presence was missed.
Would it be appropriate to ask her to take over teaching?
Taking another deep breath, Neytiri’s eyes flickered to y/n before meeting her mother’s eye, “I’ll ask y/n.”
“Very well then.” Mo’at nodded, before turning to the father and daughter behind her. “Y/n, if we could have a moment of your time.”
Y/n nodded and stepped away from her father. Meeting her eye, Neytiri asked the question, asking if y/n could teach Jake Sully the way of the people. Y/n looked at the family in front of her and then back to her father before slowly nodding.
“I think I can do that.”
Neytiri nodded before making a quick escape from the tent but y/n was close behind. Once the pair were a distance away from any prying ears, y/n grabbed Neytiri’s wrist and made the younger girl face her.
“I feel like there is more to me just teaching our guest, I agreed but I want to know why you can not.”
Neytiri hesitated slightly, “I can’t do it anymore. I tried to follow my mother’s instructions, but he just isn’t learning. All he does is complain, he is slow, he-.”
“Is learning.” Y/n added, cutting off Neytiri’s complaint, “How long has he been here.”
“Seven days?” Neytiri mumbled, feeling shy. She felt like she was a child being scolded.
“Seven? Seriously? He needs more time.”
“I know but being around him makes me feel sad. Angry? I don’t know. Every time I look at him, I see them and I see her.”
Understanding Neytiri’s implications, y/n nodded with a sigh. Neytiri bit back a sad smile but still tried to express her gratitude, “thank you y/n. Truly.”
“It is no problem.” Y/n reached forward, taking Neytiri’s hand in hers and giving it a gentle squeeze, “so, what’s his name?”
“Jake Sully?” Jake’s head shot up at the sound of his name. He hadn’t made it into his hammock, just sitting on the branch above trying to figure out how to tell Grace (and Quaritch) that he doesn’t have a teacher within the clan anymore. He felt useless.
“Me?” Jake pointed to his chest, looking at the Na’vi woman standing above him. She nodded and sat next to him.
“I am your new teacher. You can call me y/n.” y/n announced, holding out her hand for him to shake, remembering that that’s how humans introduce themselves.
Jake shook her hand awkwardly, “Jake Sully.”
Y/n nodded, retracted her hand and placed it in her lap, “We can start your lessons the day after tomorrow. I already have plans tomorrow. We can meet at the practice field at, uh, in.” Y/n stopped speaking and started to move her hands around, muttering to herself. Jake watched curiously, waiting to hear what the Na’vi woman was going to say next.
“In the midday?”
“At midday?” Jake corrected.
“Yes,” y/n beamed, “at midday. At lunchtime. Is that good?”
“Yes. Yes, that’s good for me. Thank you.”
“It is not a problem, have you eaten? I can get you something to eat if you would like.”
Jake was slightly taken aback by the question. In the week he had been here. Neytriri hadn’t asked if he was hungry or thirsty, Jake ate when she ate. “Uh, no I haven’t but it’s okay, I’ll eat when I go back.”
“Okay, if you are sure. I will see you the day after tomorrow, Jake Sully.”
“See ya.”
Y/n flashed a warm smile at Jake and then she was gone. Jake stayed seated for a few moments longer trying to process the events of the day. He sat thinking about what to say in that stupid log Grace is going to force him to do the second his eyes opened. He also sat thinking about what to report back to Quaritch, as far as he knew, y/n wasn’t a core part of the clan. Jake hadn’t seen her before or heard her name in passing so would he be able to gain any information that would be beneficial to the RDA.
He also felt embarrassed. He wasn’t good enough so the chief’s daughter dropped him, not exactly something he wants the lab to know.
As the linkpod slowly opened, Jake lay still with his eyes tightly closed. He could feel eyes on him but didn’t dare to look.
“Wasn’t expecting you for a few more hours, Marine.” Grace voiced, bringing Jake’s wheelchair closer.
“Yeah, Neytiri had clan duties so I was let go early,” Jake responded, opening his eyes and allowing his eyes to adjust to the harsh lights above him. Once he felt ready, he lifted himself into his chair, Grace watched him settle.
“How did it go today? Learn anything new?” Grace questioned with a fond smile on her face. A sight that Jake was seeing more often which made the idea of confessing that Neytiri dropped him (and he had a new teacher) harder to admit.
“Yeah, yeah, it was fine. I’m gonna be here all day tomorrow though. I have a day off.”
“A day off.” The smile had vanished from Grace’s face, “what do you mean ‘a day off’? What happened?”
“What? Do the Na’vi not believe in rest days?” Jake questioned, lightheartedly, rolling over to his desk so that he could get the log out of the way.
“Not when it comes to teaching. Did something happen?”
“Nothing happened, Grace, don’t worry about it.”
Jake watched as Grace looked at him skeptically before nodding, “alright. Finish up your video and come and get something to eat.”
“Yes ma’am.”
At dinner, Jake sat next to Norm who was asking every question under the sun about the Na’vi and what they were teaching him which Jake responded to with little effort and interest. Eventually, Norm got the message and started to speak to the other scientists.
Later the night on his way to his room, Jake was stopped by Quaritch, the last person he wanted to see.
“Sully, anything to report to me?” Quaritch questioned in his usual condescending tone.
“No sir, not today. I was away from camp.”
“Did ya hear anything? See anything?”
Jake paused to think, “Not that I can think of.”
“Uh-huh.” Quaritch didn’t believe him and it was clear on his face. “Okay. I’ll leave you to wind down for the night.”
Quaritch stepped to the side, allowing Jake to pass. As he did, he could feel Quaritch’s eyes follow him until he was out of sight only to be stopped by Max.
“Everything okay, Jake?”
All Jake could do was nod and continue on his way, missing the way Max watched him suspiciously.
The next day, as soon as the sun rose, y/n was dressed and ready for the day ahead. She quickly ate breakfast with her dad and made her way through Home Tree.
“You shouldn’t be going, it isn’t safe.”
“You tell me that every time, Tsu’tey and yet, I come back unharmed.”
Tsu’tey stood in front of y/n with his arms crossed, y/n copied his stance until he relaxed.
“I tell you every time because I want you to be safe.”
“I can keep myself safe. But if you’re so concerned, you should come too.”
“No.” Tsu’tey objected flatly, “Very well, if you are not back by eclipse, I’m coming to get you.”
“Please don’t.”
Tsu’tey sighed before pulling the girl into a hug that was very unlike him. Y/n stood awkwardly for a few moments, “Hug me back, skxawng.” Tsu’tey mumbled. So y/n complied, patting the older Na'vi on the back, “Stop that.”
“This is nice to see.”
The pair jumped away from one another at the sound of the Tsahik’s voice.
“Be safe,” Tsu’tey muttered before disappearing.
Y/n skillfully climbed through the hole in the fence behind the longhouse that she made many years ago. The nature surrounding it had grown enough to hide it from view. Over the years, y/n had come accustomed to the human’s routine. Learning where to go and at what times while being safe. That’s why she sat down, legs crossed by the locked door of the longhouse. She knew that soon, someone from the avatar program would come and unlock the door and hopefully tell Grace of her arrival. And soon that moment arrived. An avatar scientist slowly walked up the stairs, yawning and stretching his arms out to the side, he hadn’t noticed y/n just yet but y/n still stood up and made space for him. At the movement, his eyes snapped to her rising figure and he froze before raising a small black box to his face.
“Tell Dr. Augustine that she has a guest.”
A voice crackled back and the scientist unlocked the door slowly and walked in. Y/n peered around the doorway, spotting Grace’s avatar at the far end ‘asleep’, y/n waited for any movement but the avatar stayed completely still. The scientist walked back over and motioned y/n to follow him.
“Dr. Augustine is finishing her breakfast and then she’ll meet you in the link room. I’ll take you there.” The scientist paused once he finished explaining, he had an uncertain look on his face but as y/n nodded with a soft ‘okay’, the scientist seemed to relax. “But you can not bring that in with you.”
The scientist motioned to her hip. Y/n nodded understandingly before spinning on the spot and walking into the longhouse, removing her knife and placing it beside Grace’s ‘sleeping’ avatar.
“That too.”
Y/n looked down at the woven bag hanging off of her shoulder and shook her head, “It is a gift for ma sa’- Grace. A gift for Grace.” The scientist looked at her suspiciously, y/n following but trying to keep a distance. All around her, Hell’s Gate was waking up, she could feel eyes on her as she passed groups of humans. Finally, y/n and the scientist reached a doorway that was big enough for her to fit through without bowing her head. As they walked through the door, lights above them turned on one by one until they were finally inside a brightly lit room.
“Wait here, I’ll get you a mask.”
Y/n followed the scientist's instructions and watched as he walked through a smaller door, and out of sight. Looking around, y/n looked at the two empty tubes that she knew the avatars came from. She heard a crackle and turned to look at the window behind her, recognising a familiar face. Which brought a wide grin to her face.
“Good morning, Max!”
“Good morning, y/n. Long time no see.”
“Yes.”
The scientist came back through the door and handed y/n a mask, he quickly explained how to use it, instructing her that she would need to use it about every five minutes or so. Y/n nodded along, not listening fully, she was just excited to see Grace. Once the scientist was satisfied and with the approval of Max, y/n entered the link room where she just about fit. Inside she saw all the scientists getting ready for the day, some whom she wasn’t familiar with giving her a scared, questioning look but y/n didn’t care one bit. As she watched them all stream in, y/n clutched her bag tighter.
“Y/n! What a lovely surprise.”
Y/n stood up straight and turned towards the voice. She quickly spotted Grace’s auburn hair through the small crowd and a tall unfamiliar man stumbling behind her.
“Sa’n- Grace!”
Grace approached the na’vi with a steaming mug in her hand and a fond smile on her face, a rare one to see around Hell’s Gate.
Grace’s eyes trailed up and down the na’vi, just as her father had done the day prior
“Y/n, this is Norm, he came to work with me.”
“Nice to meet you, Norm.” At the sound of his name, Norm seemed to snap out of his trance, clearly his throat brushing off any dust that may have settled on his clothes. “It is a pleasure to meet you, y/n.”
“How does he sound?” Grace questioned, taking a sip from her mug, “he’s been practicing.”
“He speaks well, a bit formal but it is fine.”
Norm’s face lit up at the compliment and Grace gave him a knowing look. Behind Grace and Norm, y/n noticed a man pass through the door, seated in a chair with wheels. Once he made eye contact with y/n he quickly disappeared. Y/n didn’t think much of it.
“I got you this.” Y/n handed Grace, anticipation clear on her face. Grace reached into the bag and pulled out a parcel. She placed it gently on the metal table behind her, Norm looming over her shoulder to get a peek and what the colourful wrappings were hiding. Grace slowly pulled the wrappings away to reveal a large shell that she had to hold in both hands. “Wow.” Both Grace and Norm voiced as Grace moved the shell around under the light causing different colours to show
“I found it while visiting Awa'atlu, I went swimming with Ronal,” Y/n explained proudly. “It reminded me of a picture from your Earth books. She told me what it’s called but I don’t remember.” She confessed.
“It’s beautiful. Thank you.”
“Phenomenal.” Norm gasped, which made y/n laugh, even though she didn’t know the exact meaning of the word.
Grace and y/n spent most of the morning together in the lab, Grace showed her the different samples she had found with Norm and y/n explained what their properties were. Selfridge had heard of her presence in the lab and came to ask questions about her life. They had only ever met once when y/n was younger, she didn’t like him then and she certainly didn’t like him now but y/n didn’t see him as a threat. To y/n, the biggest threat to her and her people was Colonel Miles Quaritch, just by looking at him, y/n could tell that he was plotting something but she wasn’t sure what.
Y/n and Norm, still in his human body, walked out of the lab and towards the longhouse. Grace said that she needed to speak with Max and then she’ll meet them there. On the walk, y/n watched all of the avatars run around the courses and y/n was quite amused. Some of them were struggling which told her that they were new to this.
“So… You and Grace are friends?” Norm started, trying to catch up with her.
“She is family. I have known her for a long time.” Y/n explained, watching as two avatars threw basketball between one another, missing Norm’s astonished face, “my whole life.”
Soon, Grace joined y/n and Norm outside of the longhouse in her avatar form, holding y/n’s hunting knife. Y/n exchanged a few more words with Norm before he rushed off, Grace informing her that he’ll probably record their meeting in his log.
“I missed you. I have so much to tell you about my trip.” Grace pulled y/n into a tight hug, resting her cheek on the younger girl's head, “I wish you could’ve joined me.”
“I wish I could have too,” Grace admitted, pulling away from the girl and allowing her to take a step back. The pair sat on the stairs of the long house catching up. Again, different scientists would walk passed and watch y/n with unease in their eyes. Y/n told Grace about how her father was doing along with her trip to the reef, “Tonowari is to be Olo'eyktan, he invited me to the ceremony.”
Y/n prepared herself to leave, stating that she had planned to have dinner with her father. “Before you go, I’m moving my team to the lab in the mountains tomorrow. Hopefully, I’ll get to see you more often now.” Grace confessed, hope evident in her voice, “It has been so long since I’ve spent time with you.”
Grace watched as y/n’s eyes lit up at the idea, “That is good! But, I don’t know. Neytiri and Mo’at asked me to teach, uh, Jake Sully? I said yes. Is he your friend?”
Grace looked at the girl with slight confusion on her face before nodding, “I would not say friends but he’s on my team.”
The answer seemed to be good enough for y/n as she nodded along and continued with her stories, occasionally adding in how much Tsu’tey annoys her.
Once y/n had left, Grace unlinked with her and walked briskly around Hell’s Gate until she saw who she was looking for.
“Why the hell didn’t you tell me that Neytiri wasn’t teaching you?” Grace questioned without greeting the man before him. Jake looked stunned opening his mouth to speak but Grace beat him to it. “You better not mess this up.”
“You seem to be taking this personally, doctor.” Jake joked, trying to ease the ever-growing tension.
“I am. Don’t mess this up, Jake. I'm serious. Don’t waste her time.” Jake nodded awkwardly, and Grace’s shoulders dropped as she sighed, “Don’t forget, we’re out of here tomorrow. 9am, you have somewhere to be at 12.”
“Yes ma’am.”
Grace stared at Jake a few moments more before turning on her heels and left, muttering under her breath. Jake let out the breath he was holding and wheeled himself towards the vehicle storage where he knew Quaritch would be waiting.

Tsu’tey looks over at the aftermath of the raid, some warriors were able to get out alive but some weren’t so lucky. He walks over to his ikran ready to mount him but he looks over to your empty ikran, his chest starts to tighten as he raises his hand to his neck and presses the button on his communication device.
“Yawne, where are you?” he speaks into the communication device. When you don’t answer, he presses the button again as if the first time, he was doing it wrong. “Tiyawn, can you hear me? Are you okay?” Still no answer.
He takes a deep breath trying not to think of the worst outcome. He rushes back onto the battlefield looking at all the bodies that were spread out across the ground. “Please be okay,” He repeats in his head as he searches for you. He doesn’t want to think that there was a possibility that you were gone, if he did then that would mean he would be truly alone in this world.
After losing Sylwanin, he didn’t think he would find love again but then there was you, a strong warrior that stole his attention, he tried not to act on those feelings but the time he spent training you, hanging out with you in his free time, seeing your angelic smile that always made his day better. By then he just knew he couldn’t ignore it any longer and courted you before any guy could snatch you up.
When you accepted his advances, he felt like he was the happiest man alive, he thought this to be his second chance at love and he wasn’t about to take it for granted. He starts to worry as he doesn’t seem to find you anywhere and tears start to form in his eyes as he begins to think of the thought that you might be dead. “She has to be okay… she just has to be,” he lets out a deep breath as his tail drooped sadly.
He clenches his fists as he fights the tears back, "I just got you in my life, I can’t lose you, great mother, please… I beg of you…" His ears perk up as he hears a distant cough and he looks around hoping for it to come from you.
He starts to run toward the direction the cough came from and when he does he sees you trapped under a piece of metal, his eyes widen in fear and he immediately rushes over, easily picking up the scrap metal and throwing it to the side.
He examines your state, you had wounds that were placed on your stomach and arms but nothing too serious, he drops to his knees carefully taking you into his arms, and softly embraces you as he silently thanks Eywa causing a small groan to escape from your mouth.
“Oops, sorry tiyawn,” he adjusts you softly in his arms to make you more comfortable, he places his lips on your forehead giving it a kiss before looking at your beautiful eyes.
“Tsu’tey, I’m so glad to see you,” you slowly raise your hand to caress his cheek, and a small smile appears on your face, he takes your hand kisses the inside of your palm, and holds it tightly as if he let go, you’d disappear.
“You scared me, tiyawn,” the tears that he held back finally spilling down his face “I’m never letting you go again, Nga yawne lu oer,” he kisses your forehead again making you smile but wince when you make a slight move.
“Alright, let's get you back so you can get treated.” He carefully picks you up and carries you in bridal style as he slowly makes his way to his ikran, again thanking eywa for bringing you back to him.

“Not so hard Tuk!” Kiri scolded, as the littlest Sully tugged your hair, she let out a panicked ‘sorry’ before putting the comb down. You patted her head “it’s okay, Tuk, thank you for wanting to do this” you told her, she let out a laugh, jumping up to sit in your lap, and you wrapped your arms around her. The girls wanted to try to make you feel better after what had happened the night before, and they decided they wanted to try to do your hair before you saw Ronal.
“y/n” Tuk called, you looked down at her “yes?” you answered, beginning to sway from left to right, earning a giggle from the child. But she looked down, as if questioning her words “promise…” she trailed off, not meeting you eye, you heard the sadness in her voice. Kiri stopped combing your hair to look around your shoulder at her little sister, Tuk wrapped her arms around one of your’s, “promise this won’t change anything” she finished.
You stopped rocking, and ran your free hand over her head, pushing her hair back, before leaning forward and giving her a kiss on the forehead. “I promise” you stated, Tuk let go of your arm and instead hugged you. Kiri also hugged you from behind, you could hear both of them crying. “But if you aren’t with uncle Tsu’tey anymore, where will you go?” Tuk cried, “I’ll still be right here, little one” you assured her.
The time came for you to see Tsu’tey, you stood outside Ronal’s marui with Neytiri by your side. She took your hand and gave it a squeeze, you looked at her and she nodded. You took a deep breath and walked in, Tsu’tey and Jake sat side by side next to the fire pit in the middle. You and Neytiri moved to sit on the other side, Ronal sat between the two groups that had formed, and Tsireya sat behind her to the right.
“Two of you have come to break the bond you made with each other under Eywa, a bond that you have shared since you chose each other as mates” Ronal explained, and motioned for Tireya to continue.
“You were united under the great mother’s eye, so by tradition you…” Tsireya looked nervously over to her mother, who only nodded, Tsireya sighed “you must break the bond under the great mothers eye, on sacred land”
Neytiri and I looked at eachother, confused. Ronal stood up “we must go to The Cove of the ancestors”
Tsu’tey looked over to you as your eyes casted downward. None of you had been there, not since Neteyam’s passing…
You choked back tears, Neytiri put a hand on your shoulder “we can wait, we don’t have to-” “-no” you interrupted, “we must do this now” you stated looking to Ronal “I’ll do it”
You mounted your ilu, looking to the shore with the kids getting on their own. Jake and Neytiri tried to convince them that it would be better if they didn’t, but they wanted to be there for you, both of you. “You ready, Zi-zu?” You ask your ilu, who responded with a loud shriek and her fins hitting the water.
You laughed, patting her side. You heard a louder shriek, you flinched and your ears tucked back. You turned to see Tsu’Tey with Jake on their tsuraks, you looked over to Neytiri who was on her ikran. She laughed at the sight of Tsu’tey still struggling to stay on the large beast.
Tonowari and Ronal showed up on their tsuraks, and you set off for The Cove of The Ancestors. The waters were calm, and the children laughed and joked on the way. When you arrived at the cove you looked around and took in your surroundings, even above water, it really was a beautiful place. You wished the past times you visited could’ve been under happier circumstances.
Your group stopped not too far from shore, Neytiri landed on the shore and Jake went off to get her, since ikran weren’t the best swimmers. You heard a small splash and looked over to see Tuk had slid off the ilu she was riding on with Kiri to slip into the water, “Tuk!” Kiri called, looking for her sister. You looked down into the water from the surface trying to find the small Sully, Tsu’tey did the same, even guiding his tsurak around trying to find her. “Tuk!” you repeated, “Tuk, now isn’t the time or place for games!” you grew worried when you didn’t see any sign of her.
You dove under the waves with your ilu, you couldn’t hold your breath as long as the children had learned to, but that mattered little to you at the time. You looked around for any sign of the child, panic filled you and you resurfaced to get a breath of water. Jake came over with Neytiri on his tsurak, “what’s going on?” Jake asked, seeing everyone’s worried expressions. “Tuk, she dove under the water, and I don’t know where she is!” Kiri cried.
Jake jumped off his tsurak and into the water to look for his youngest, you started panicking. This can’t be happening again, Eywa, please say this wasn’t happening again. Tonowari, seemingly the calmest out of the group, spoke up “the ceremony can wait, we must find the child, now” he said before diving under to help look.
Tsireya and Lo’ak dove under on the ilu they were sharing, followed by Kiri. You and Tsu’tey shared a quick glance, you nodded and dove under as well. You searched around every bend, every Tuk-sized nook and cranny. It was about the fifth time you surfaced when you started to cry. Tuk was small, even with training and her high-energy spirit, she couldn’t hold her breath for that long. On top of that, the waters had become rougher, the current could easily push her around.
You knew Zi-zu was tired, so you got off of her to swim on your own. You hadn’t noticed how far you had ventured from the cove, you dove under one last time. You saw something shining on a jagged piece of coral. You swam over to find a small bracelet, you recognized it, you had made it for Tuk with a shell you found on the beach. You began to cry, your tears carried by the waters around you.
If the bracelet was here, where was Tuk? She swore she would keep it on her at all times, no matter what. Could the current push her out this far? It was hard for you to swim, even with your ilu, Tuk was alone. Did she try to come up for air to call out? Did she not make it? Thoughts swarmed your mind to the point you began ignoring your lungs screaming for air, did Tuk’s do the same?
You wrapped the bracelet around your hand, as it was too small for your wrist. Your vision began to blur, you coughed out bubbles of air, and your mouth filled with salty water. You remembered the argument you had with Tsu’tey all those years ago, skxawng, maybe the phrase fit you better than you had hoped at the time.
You felt, arms wrap around you and push you to the surface. You spat out the water that had invaded your mouth, and felt a hand moving your head to face the one who had saved you. “y/n!” Tsu’tey yelled, shaking your face, “stay with me!” You began to cry. You didn’t want to tell him what you found, all that was left of the little one you two watched together.
Your small sobs turned louder, then into screams. Tsu’tey brought you to his tsurak and helped you up, he tied your ilu to the tsurak, as to not leave it behind. Soon he got up and took your face in his hands, “what happened, are you hurt?” He asked, trying to dry your tears. You shook your head and held your hand out, showing him the bracelet he looked at the jewelry, recognizing it immediately. Horror spread across his face.
“She could’ve lost it, it was a quick trip here, it might’ve just slipped off” he told you, you violently shook your head. “She’s gone!” You screamed, “I failed, again!” you yanked at your hair, remembering just that morning she was sitting in your lap and laughing. Tsu’tey hugged you.
You didn’t want this, you hated him, or at least you should. . .
But you can’t, you melted into him.
He pulled your hands from your hair, he said something about going back, about it being late.
Before you knew it you were back at the village, Tsireya noticed you two and waved for you to dock by them, Lo’ak was beside her. Tsireya was smiling till she saw you, “what happened?” she questioned. Tsu’tey put a hand up as a silent way to say ‘not right now’
He guided you to sit beside Lo’ak, who you wrapped your arms around and hugged tight. “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I failed you” you cried, he looked at you like you were crazy. You took off the bracelet and gave it to him, “please forgive me” you cried. Lo’ak shook his head, “y/n, it’s okay-”
“-it’s not!” you shouted after breaking away from Lo’ak, “I never should’ve come here! I should’ve stayed in the forest, or maybe on earth! She never would’ve been there if it wasn’t for me!” Tsu’tey ran to your side, but this time you pushed him away, but gently “if I had never fallen in love with you, none of this would be happening!” you yelled to Tsu’tey.
“It’s my fault, if there had been another, stronger than me, they could’ve protected Tuk from the start!” Tonowari and Ronal had come out of their marui to see why there was yelling. “It’s all my fault, I failed, not you!” You pointed to Tsu’tey. “It was my weakness that killed them! I killed Netayam, I killed-!”
“-y/n” a familiar voice called out, it was Tuk. You looked at her, believing you were hallucinating. You walked over and put your hands on her shoulders “you’re crying” she noted. You looked at her, scared if you blinked she would disappear. “Tuk?” you questioned, she hugged you “I’m sorry!” She apologized, crying. “I don’t want to lose you, I don’t wanna lose uncle Tsu’tey!” she cried “so I ran, then I swam out too far so I went to the shore, but-” you shushed her, hugging her “it’s okay, you’re safe, that’s all that matters”
You looked up at Neytiri and Jake, Neytiri was looking at you, crying with a  mix of happy tears and sad ones, but Jake didn’t take his eyes off Tsu’tey, Jake looked like he wanted to wring his neck. Lo’ak, who had been standing beside Jake, walked over, “y/n found this, Tuk'' he showed her the bracelet she had lost. “My good luck charm!” Tuk cheered, taking it from her brother, she looked back to you “thank you” she sighed. You smiled and nodded, “don’t mention it kiddo”
Jake loudly cleared his throat “it’s been a long day. Kids, go with y/n and get some food” he patted you on the back, and ruffled Tuk’s hair. “Tsu’tey, meet me inside” he said through gritted teeth, motioning to Tonowari and Ronal’s marui. Tonowari, Ronal, Jake, and Tsu’tey walked inside. Tuk tugged on your arm “come on, let’s eat!” you smiled at her, “you go on, I’ll be right there” you said quietly, Tuk pouted, but ran off with Lo’ak.
You walked far enough so they couldn’t see you, but you could still hear.
You heard Tsu’tey sigh “Jake I-”
“-do I look stupid to you, Tsu’tey?” Jake interrupted “does y/n?” He added
“I never meant to hurt them” Tsu’tey stated
“Oh! Really!” Jake laughed out “and what about the woman in your house last night?” he accused
“She wasn’t there for me!” Tsu’tey yelled “I told you, she was there because she had heard y/n was no longer mated!”
You heard a snap like Jake punched a wall of the marui
“You really expect me to believe that?! We were the only ones who knew you were breaking your bond!” Jake boomed “and now, while they are at their lowest, thinking they lost Tuk after Netayam, you rushed to their side like some savior!?”
“I was trying to comfort them” Tsu’tey defended, it sounded like he was getting angry
You decided to walk closer, so you could see what was going on. Ronal noticed your presents, and let Tonowari know, but neither of them alerted the two fighting.
Jake stepped to Tsu’tey
“I’m sure you were, I’m sure you wanted to comfort them so much so they would crawl back into bed with you, huh?” That was the snapping point for Tsu’tey who punched Jake in the face. Tonowari stepped between the two, trying to stop them from fighting any further.
“Enough!” He yelled, causing the two to stop.
You stepped into the marui, everyone looked at you. “You are like children” you said, with the same tone as a mother saying ‘I’m not mad, just disappointed’.
You shook your head “Tsu’tey go home” you commanded, not even looking at him, he was frozen in place. “How long were you?-” “-I said go home!” you cut him off, his ears went back, he only nodded and walked away. Jake continued to glare at him, until he was out of sight, at that point he turned to you. “You don’t deserve to be-” you cut him off with a slap. Everyone, even Ronal, looked shocked. Tears filled your eyes “don’t think I only wanted to do that to you, Tsu’tey will get the same in time” your voice was shaky, you closed your eyes and took a deep breath before continuing.
“My mateship is just that, mine. I don’t need your help, I know what you must think about why Tsu’tey did what he did. You think he only wanted to hold me so I would reconsider breaking our bond, or even that he only wanted me for a night” You sighed, wiping your tears away “but I felt it, he wanted to care for me, to protect me. I might not be able to choose if I love him, but I can choose if I want to be with him, and you can’t make that choice for me” Jake looked down, in what seemed to be shame. “I know that” he said “it’s your choice, but he hurt you” you put a hand on his shoulder, “I know you are mad at him for the things he’s done, I am too, but fighting will not change what he’s done” you said before turning to leave, giving Ronal and Tonowari a nod as a way of saying ‘sorry my mate and friend fought’.
You walked to the marui you used to share with him, standing there for a moment. You looked around to see if anyone was around, when you saw no one you stepped inside. You walked to the middle, next to the fire pit. You looked at your old bed, it looked like it had been disturbed since the last time you were there. Your lip curled up and your ears went back, ‘it must be from when that woman was here’ you thought to yourself. You looked to the other side of the room, seeing the bedroll that Tsu’tey slept in after your argument. You kneeled down and pushed on it, seeing how comfortable it was or wasn’t.
You laid down on it, looking at the ceiling. Is this what he left like when he laid here? Did he think of you? Did he regret the things he said, maybe the ones he didn’t?
*It was not long ago that you move into this marui, with the intentions of making it a home*
You carried the last of the many bags the Tsu’tey insisted that you take with you. You opened it to see what was in it and where to put the supplies, it was mostly medicine and dried fruit and meat in this one.
You and Tsu’tey had one bed roll that you shared, Tsu’tey had said he would make a proper bed once you settled in more. That was on the right side of the house, while you hung the bag of food up high.
You felt a hand touch brush your waist, you jumped before realizing it was Tsu’tey. “Kiri and Tuk want to go past the reef, I’m going with them” he stated, before turning to leave again. You took his hand, causing him to turn back to you.
You put your hands to his face “we are safe, the children are older, we don’t need to watch them all the time”
In reality, you weren’t taking the move well, the idea of Quaritch being back, him kidnapping Spider, and the fact the children were almost taken. You wanted your mate, you wanted to be held and told everything would be okay.
Tsu’tey pulled away from your touch, but he didn’t look happy about it. “I will be back before eclipse” he said. You looked at the ground and began walking away, but he took your hand in his and gave a light kiss to your knuckles. You smiled softly, he nodded and walked off.
Eclipse was on the horizon, and you decided to step away from unpacking to get some fresh air. You took a walk around the village, you got a lot of looks.
Some mean, some kind, some cautious, but mostly confused. You felt out of place, and for good reason you would say. You saw Tsu’tey watching over the children playing in the shallows of the reef, you started walking closer and saw that Tuk wasn’t playing with the others. You looked back to Tsu’tey and saw that she was sitting beside him asleep, leaning on his arm. You smiled and walked over.
“Long day?” You asked, Tsu’tey had a faint smile. He never really laughed, but you could tell when he found your joke funny. “Ask this one” he said, motioning to the sleeping child. You laughed, and sat on the other side of him.
You loved these moments, being with your mate and the children. You smiled and leaned on Tsu’tey, and closed your eyes
*you felt tears run down your temples as you laid there*
You blinked a couple times, before you wiped the tears away. You stood up, dusting yourself off. You turned to leave when you saw him, Tsu’tey, he was standing in the entrance. You sighed, “I…” you trailed off. This was the first time in a long time that you had a good look at him, and you saw bruising next to his eye. You reached out to touch his face, he looked surprised. “What happened to your face?” You asked, he pulled away. “Nothing” he said, kneeling next to the fire pit to get a fire going.
You scoffed, grabbing a cloth from the basket you remembered keeping them in. “Why do I doubt that?” you mumbled, soaking the cloth with water from the water skin.
You pulled Tsu’tey up and started dabbing the bruise with the cloth. “This won’t help much, but it should reduce the blood coming to the surface” you explained, “though it might’ve been better to do it earlier, this looks about a day old. What happened to you?” You pulled away, turning to look for something to help more.
Tsu’tey sighed “Lo’ak, he hit me when he came for your things” you spun back around, shocked. You put some of the herbs you had into the makeshift mortar and pestle you had made, and ground the ingredients. “Lo’ak hit you?” You couldn’t wrap your head around it, sure Lo’ak got in fights with the other boys, but never adults, let alone Tsu’tey.
“He and Jake Sully are angry with me” you looked up from your work as he spoke, “I cannot blame them”. You sighed l, gathering the paste you made into a small bowl. “That doesn’t give Lo’ak or Jake an excuse to get physical with you” you scolded, applying some of the paste to the cheek.
You went to walk away from him when he grabbed your wrist, you froze looking in his eyes. “Are you angry with me?” He asked, you yanked your wrist from him. “Of course I’m angry” you answered, kneeling in front of a bowl you used to wash your hands and the mortarl “you cheated on me”.
Tsu’tey stood up, he seemed mad at your words. “I have been many things to you!” He raised his voice, it shocked you a little. “I’ve been a poor mate, I’ve put too much pressure on you sometimes, I have not always been calm with you! But I-!!” You flinched back when he began to yell, he immediately stopped and took a moment to calm down.
“I’m sorry, I should not have yelled at you like that” he apologized, you nodded. “I failed in many places as your mate, but I was never unfaithful” he finished. You picked up your mortar and pestle and walked over to your make-shift sink, turning your back to Tsu’tey “I heard” you began to wash the mortar with your hands “when you said that the woman wasn’t there for you, that she was waiting for me”.
Tsu’tey walked over and pulled the mortar from you, you looked up at him. He saw that the tears that began to form “I would never choose another, there is no other to replace you”. You shook your head “how am I supposed to believe you?” you sighed, getting up to leave.
“I cannot apologize for something I never did” he called out before you left, you turned to him. He stepped to you “but I haven’t made you feel loved a long time, and for that I am sorry”. You looked to the ground, unsure of what to say, “take care of that bruise” was all you said before leaving.
You walked back to The Sully’s marui, Neytiri smiled at you as Tuk crawled from her lap to hug you. You hugged her tight, before kneeling to her height “hey, if you ever do what you did back there again, no more rides on Zi-zu” you stated, in a serious tone. Tuk nodded, and quietly apologized again, you hugged her again before letting her run to Kiri.
You smiled and turned, only to see Jake behind you. “Can I help you?” You half-joked, “where were you?” he asked. You rolled your eyes, “I was just taking a walk” you tried to go inside.
Jake blocked you with his arm “where were you really?” he pressed, you glared at him “I was walking” you pushed his arm out of the way and walked inside, Jake followed.
“Lo’ak!” You called, the boy's head popped up from the knife he was sharpening, “I need to talk to you, outside” you declared. You stepped back outside, and soon Lo’ak came out, “is there a problem?” He asked, he seemed genuinely worried.
“You want to get out of earshot from your parents before you ask me that?” You didn’t give him time to answer as you walked away.
Lo’ak followed behind you, “can you just tell me what I did?” He seemed irritated. You didn’t respond, just kept walking. The boy huffed, “look, whatever it is I’m sorry” he apologized, you still said nothing. After a little while you stopped and turned to him, “is this about Tsu-” you put a hand over his mouth before he could say anything.
“Jake, this isn’t the forest, you don’t have good cover!” You called out, Lo’ak looked around in confusion “leave me and the boy to talk” you requested. Jake stepped out from behind a pillar, Lo’ak looked at you in shock.
Jake looked at his son “we’ll talk when you get back” Jake stated, pointing to Lo’ak, before walking away. Once he was gone, you turned to Lo’ak. “Let’s cut to the chase, why did you hit Tsu’tey?” You crossed your arms and looked down at him, Lo’ak sighed.
“He’s a dick, he deserved it!” He seethed, you knew he was frustrated, you kneeling down you put your hand on his shoulder. “Yes, he is a dick, but you shouldn’t have hit him” you scolded, Lo’ak rolled his eyes “if it was Spider cheating of Kiri you would do it for her!” Lo’ak argued.
“I’m sorry, do you know something about Spider and Kiri that you want to share?” You questioned, Lo’ak froze before shaking his head “n-no I just meant in a hypothetical!”.
You let out a ‘mhmm’ before standing up, “you’re wrong I wouldn’t beat up Spider” you corrected “do you know why?” you put your hands on your hips. Lo’ak let out a huff “‘cause it’s wrong?” He questioned, “no” you laughed “he’s smaller than Kiri, if I punched him I’d kill him” you jested.
Lo’ak laughed, your face dropped “but, seriously, if you try to fight someone twice your size again, I will throw you” you said in a serious tone. Lo’ak stopped laughing and nodded. You patted his back and you walked back to the house.
When you got back to the house, Jake was waiting outside to talk to Lo’ak. The two walked off together, in the same direction you had just come from. You went inside, and immediately, some food wrapped in a banana-leaf-like plant was handed to you.
“You need to eat” Neytiri stated. You took the food with a smile and sat down to eat.
“Mama!” Tuk cried out, you looked up to see Tuk soaked in water pulling on her mothers arm. “Help!” you heard Kiri cry from outside, you ran out while Neytiri watched Tuk. Kiri had Ao’nung’s arm around her, while she practically dragged him. He was unconscious, you ran over and picked him up and brought him inside. “Go find your father and brother!” You told Kiri, she nodded and ran off. You ran inside and listened to see if the boy was breathing, when you heard nothing you started compressions. “‘Tiri, I need the bag!” You called out, Neytiri handed you a CPR bag that Norm had given you, ‘just in case’ he said. You handled the bag while Neytiri continued compressions.
Lo’ak ran in, freezing when he saw Ao’nung. “Lo’ak” you called out, he didn’t respond, “Lo’ak!” you yelled, he snapped his attention to you. “Where is your father?” You asked, “he’s… he’s getting Ao’nung’s parents, what happened?”.
“The avatars” Kiri spoke up, she was holding Tuk who was crying. “We went out for a swim and one of them hit Ao’nung with a rock” Kiri explained. She started crying “he was distracting the demon while we got away” she sobbed.
Lo’ak grabbed his knife, “where?” He yelled out, “Lo’ak, no!” you barked, “I’m not letting you get yourself killed!” You stated.
“Look at Ao’nung, he’s dying, Should we just not do anything?!” Lo’ak argued, making Tuk cry more. “He isn’t dying, sit down with your sisters!” You fumed, Lo’ak headed for the entrance.
“If you take a step outside that door, so help me Eywa, they will be your last!” Neytiri snapped, which seemed to persuade Lo’ak not to go.
Tonowari and Ronal ran in, Ronal dropped to her knees “my son!” She cried out. Tonowari looked mad, really mad. Jake walked in next, “how is he doing?” he asked. “We’ve been doing compressions since Kiri brought him” You answered, growing frustrated. Ronal grabbed Ao’nung’s hand, “my son, please come back!” she cried, Tonowari put his hand on his mate’s shoulder.
Ao’nung coughed up water and began gasping for air, you took the mask off his face and rolled him on his side. Ronal cried out, you aren’t sure if it was out of happiness for her son’s survival or in horror of seeing him nearly die. “Ao’nung!” You called out, he looked up at you “you okay, buddy?” he nodded between coughs. You sit him up, Ronal hugged her son.
You let out a sigh, and fell on your back. “y/n!” Neytiri exclaimed, shocked. You put your hand on your face, and started crying “I thought they were gone”. The weight of an avatar attacking again had just hit you, Jake walked over. “It’s only one, we can handle one” He reassured, “then how many? What, you don’t think he called for reinforcements when he realized where he was?!” You cried out, Jake put his hand on your shoulders. “Hey, breathe, you just saved a boy’s life, focus on that right now” you looked at Ronal, hugging her son.
Ronal took her son’s face in her hands, crying still “maitan” she sighed out, Tonowari smiled at his son. Then Ronal flicked his forehead, Ao’nung recoiled in shock “sa’nok!” he groaned out, “you’re lucky you almost died, otherwise I would kill you!” Ronal yelled before hugging him again. You laughed, before covering your eyes again “I need a nap, or a drink, both if possible”
Kiri and Tuk went to see Ao’nung, and thanked him for trying to keep them safe, and Ao’nung thanked Kiri for saving him. You noticed one missing, “where’s Lo’ak?” You questioned, Jake and Neytiri looked around, just then noticing their second born being gone.

Lo’ak stumbled into Tsu’tey’’s marui, Tsu’tey sighed at the sight of him. “If you’ve come because of y/n, I told you I-” “-they’re back!” Lo’ak interrupted, Tsu’tey’s eye widened “who?”
“The demons”

Tsu’tey felt the blood rush to his ears as he made quick steps to the Tsahik’s tent, the sun was only just now rising, far too early to be called upon if it was anything good. With clumsy fingers he readjusted his loincloth though there was nothing to fix, only a nervous habit as he made haste.
He faltered for a few seconds when he reached Mo’at’s tent, nerves bubbling in his stomach as he tried to prepare for whatever business the Tsahik had with him. It was not uncommon for Tsu’tey to speak with Mo’at over issues of the clan, the Olo’eyktan and Tsahik often did so. But the rushed morning call that disturbed his slumber, and the low murmuring voice’s of Mo’at and Neytiri behind the tent had his stomach twisting with something akin to fear.
His fingers clenched into a tight fist before he released the tension, pushing apart the flap of the tent before dipping into the privacy of the Tsahik’s quarters.
His tail tensed as Mo’at and Neytiri stilled their conversation, looking at Tsu’tey with trepidation as if they had been caught doing something they shouldn’t.
There was a beat of silence before Tsu’tey regained his senses, “Oel Ngati Kamie.”
Neytiri sent him a warm smile before greeting him, Mo’at however, she had her usual look of aloofness, as if not wanting to give anything away. Tsu’tey was sure that was a skill she had to master during her years as Tsahik. Many people came to her with their questions and burdens, she had to learn to school her expressions.
“Sit, ‘itan.”
He nodded, sitting down across from Mo’at, his eyes jumping between the two women as he refrained from asking what was wrong. What was so important that they needed to speak with him so early? It all felt so secretive and he felt uneasy.
“Neytiri is with child.”
Tsu’tey’s head snapped towards the other warrior in the room, his ears flicking in curiosity before a smile cracked its way onto his face. “Aylrrtok ngaru, Neytiri! I am sure you and Jake Sully will be blessed with a strong child.”
Neytiri’s face lit up, she cared for Tsu’tey deeply and his excitement for her meant more than he knew, “Thank you, Tsu’tey.”
Neytiri’s gaze shifted towards Mo’at, and Tsu’tey followed her gaze, a small frown making its way onto his face at the small flash of guilt that flashed through the older woman's gaze. He felt nauseous at the lapse of control from the Tsahik, but her eyes glazed over to one of calmness before she turned to look at Tsu’tey.
“I have been thinking that it is time you find a mate, Tsu’tey.”
His mouth went dry, his forehead creasing in confusion as his heart thrummed harder. Mo’at took the Olo’eyktan’s silence as liberty to keep speaking. “The clan needs to know that it is time to move forward. The people need to know we are prospering after a time of sorrow.”
Neytiri was watching Tsu’tey closely but he gave nothing away, only nodding softly as he listened to Mo’at, “We called upon you this early for discretion. If people begin to find out you are looking for a mate, they will swarm on you like viperwolves stalking their prey.”
Tsu’tey’s tail swished nervously at the thought, trying to wrap his mind around the idea of sharing his life with someone.
Neytiri cleared her throat, “But Tsahik and I were thinking it would be beneficial to the people if you mate with someone from a different clan.”
Tsu’tey blinked at her for a few seconds before he cleared his throat, “Someone who is not Omatikaya? That is unheard of.”
If Tsu’tey was nervous about mating with a woman from the clan, this made his heart feel like it was going to rip out of his chest now. “The Kekunan clan showed great bravery during the war. They were the first clan to arrive when Jake called upon them.”
It was clear to Tsu’tey that both women had made up their mind, they encouraged the idea and it was only confirmed when Mo’at reached out to pat Tsu’tey’s arm to try and comfort him. “The Olo’eyktan and Tsahik have a daughter, she is their third born and has been Tsakarem for many years. From what I have heard she is quite gifted at it too, she is also a warrior, she would be a great Tsahik for the Omatikaya ”
Neytiri nodded in agreement with her mother, “She fought alongside us during the war, she protected me and she's shown great strength. The union will also give us protection if we were ever to need it again.”
Tsu’tey was used to his people looking to him for guidance, but Mo’at and Neytiri looking at him with hope struck a chord he couldn't place. These were two of the women he most looked up to, silently begging him to agree with their eyes.
He sighed quietly, nodding gently before his ears pinned to his head, “If she agrees, I will do it.”
Mo’at let out a quiet breath, it was as if she was holding it in while she waited for his answer. Neytiri did not contain her excitement, her tail thrashing harshly behind her, “Mother and I will arrange everything, we will fly out and pitch our case.”
Tsu’tey only nodded, unable to find his words as his mind raced wildly. It was not until Neytiri placed her hand on his arm that he was pulled from his turmoil, “She is very kind, you will grow to love her.”
Tsu’tey’s gaze flicked to where Mo’at was sitting, but it was now empty. He felt confident enough to speak his feelings to his closest friend, “I don’t know if I can Neytiri.”
She frowned, her mouth opening to speak but Tsu’tey suddenly felt overwhelmed. His chest tightening as he stood up quickly, not even bidding her goodbye before he walked out.

Your heart was pounding roughly in your chest as visions continued to appear in your mind, it felt like you were being swallowed and spit out during different memories that deeply scarred you. Fading away like mist before you were able to do anything about it. Your body was not your own, going through the motions that seared your brain with fear.
You were gliding forward while your Ikran dove head first towards the forest grounds, and your mind was completely blank but you knew what was happening. Before your eyes adjusted to your eldest brother falling freely as bullets tainted his body, leaving wounds in their wake, you felt fear consume you. It consumed you each night as you were forced to relive these nightmares each time your eyes closed and it never got easier. Your vision cleared and you were met with his Ikran screeching in pain before their Tsaheylu broke and your brother tumbled down.
You were so close, his body within a few inches of Evu’s claws to break his impact on the floor, just as you were going to catch him you were being ripped away. Appearing in a memory from the same horrible day, just hours later.
A scream threatened to rip from your throat but got stuck before Neytiri’s piercing cry hit your ears.Your head was hot and heavy, a thick liquid pouring from your skull as you stumbled towards her voice. She was cradling someone, along with the Toruk Makto but their face was shielded from your view. Your vision was spotty before your body hit the floor.
Your eyes flutter open as you take a deep breath of air, gasping as your ears ring so loudly it feels painful. Your heart was racing so fast it felt as though it was going to be ripped from your chest.
It takes minutes for you to register that you are in the safety of your cot, away from the war. Your eyes well with hot tears before they stain your face and down to your ears. You cursed yourself quietly as you wept, you were the Tsakarem, you were a warrior, you were not meant to be weak. These terrors were not meant to plague you still, but a broken sob fell from your mouth as you recalled all the lost members of the Kekunan, your people ripped away from their family by metal machines and greedy humans, your eldest brother included.
It had been months, but the horrors of war plagued your mind, lurking behind every wall and shadow, threatening to consume you whole. The sun barely rising peaked through the flaps of your cot, blinding you for a few seconds as you laid there trying to regain your emotions.
You wipe your eyes as you push yourself to sit up, head pounding roughly before you stand.
Numbness coated your insides as you prepared to start your day. There was a lot of nothing going around the clan of Kekunan, families still learning to adjust to life without their loved ones and now that everyone was healed by your hands, and the hands of your mother, and the many healers in your clan, there was not much to do.
Once you made it outside of your cot you felt warmness bloom in your stomach, nudging you in the direction of your Ikran. Evu was a deep forest green, the tips of her wings were a soft shade of blue, and her wingspan larger than most. She was gentle, sweet and protective whenever you were around her and you felt her call to you.
The memory of not catching your brother on time had forced you to neglect time with Evu, feeling guilty anytime you looked at her, anytime you felt the welcoming breeze through your hair and on your skin, but you missed her.
With quick steps you made it to her, her head cocked to the side in silent question before she started happily chirping. In almost clumsy steps she made her way to you, nuzzling her face into yours as she continued to clack loudly. The ache that had settled into your chest seemed to melt away as you patted her softly, grabbing your kuru before connecting it with her.
You felt her excitement as you mounted her, your hearts thrumming as one as the two of you took off. This was the first time in weeks that you felt the wind kiss your skin and flow through your hair, your eyes watering slightly as you finally felt at ease. Your mind only focused on flying, the feeling of freedom consuming you.
It was clear that Evu was feeling just as cheerful as she soared freely, performing beautifully as she twirled in the air, showing off her skill. It dawned on you that she was trying to prove herself to you, to prove to you that she was worthy of riding and it caused your heart to soar. She thought she had done something wrong. Your hands gently soothed her as you patted her neck, praising her softly as the two of you flew above the jungle of Pandora.
You spent hours flying, only returning when the ache of your legs became too difficult to ignore. Your legs wobbled when your feet touched the ground, showering Evu with last bits of affection before walking to your parents' cot.
There was excitement consuming your people, it was palpable as they whispered to each other, pointing and smiling towards your parents cot. Before you could think too much about it, one of the village children ran up to you, calling out your name happily.
You smiled down at her, “Mawey, It’ey.”
She smiled shyly as she tried to catch her breath, but the twitch of her ears showed her excitement, “The Tsahik of the Omatikaya is here! She is asking for you!”
You felt like the blood drained from your face, nerves bubbling up your throat as you tried to think of what business the Tsahik could have with you. “Are you sure, It’ey?”
The young girl nodded, not catching onto the way your hands began to tremble slightly.
“Yes! She brought her daughter as well.”
You sent her a soft smile, patting her hair gently, “Thank you.”
It took a few seconds before you were able to continue on your track to your parents home. Memories rushed to the forefront of your mind as you recalled the last time they were here, and the outcome.
You did not regret the decision to fight with them, but it left you with so many internal scars that you have not been able to heal, you feared what they needed you for.
When you pushed the flap open you were met with 6 pairs of eyes glowing at you. You directed your gaze towards the guest first, “Mo’at, Neytiri, oel ngatie kameie.”
The older woman sent you a soft smile and just as you were about to turn to your parents, Neytiri caught your wrist and stilled your movements.
“It’s great to see you again, I wish I would have had more time to speak with you after everything happened, after the battle but-you look to be doing well. I hope you can find time for us to speak, show me around the Kekunan jungle.”
Your body tensed at the mention of the war, and if she noticed she did not comment on it. You only sent her a tight lipped smile before pulling away from her, greeting your parents and your two brothers. The air was tense in the cot, everyone staring at you with mixed emotions and you felt your throat tighten. “I was told by one of the children that I was being looked for.”
“Ah yes, come here ‘ite.”
You did as told, sitting down besides your mother, she began to soothe your hair, something she always did to try and comfort you and your siblings before giving you big news.
“The Tsahik and her daughter have traveled all the way over here for you.”
Your ears twitched softly, dread consuming you and you turned to look at the two women, “They have come to ask for your hand, for the Olo’eyktan.”

Hiiiiiiiiii! Can I make a funny T'su'tey request?
Im sure you know the lilo and stitch meme?
Tumblr media
the idea is after neytiri and jake mate and become the Tashik and Olo'eyktan, tsu'tey has the freedom to pick a mate, but struggles to find genuine love. So he pleads to ewya for a mate who is "calm, sweet, kind, gentle, soft". But instead ewya gives him the exact opposite XD.
Tumblr media
Pair: Tsu'tey x Human reader (why not <3)
Warning: None, tsu'tey being cute. Reader being a brat.
AVATAR MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
"Eywa…it is me again" says tsu'tey as he sits in the spirit tree. Sitting praying with all his heart. "I know I have asked this many times…but could you send me a being who loves me, someone who is kind. The best person you have…someone who will stay with me and not run away from me" says tsu'tey. After all this time, he was pretty sure he was ready to find his ideal partner. When he was younger, he used to be more relaxed about it, even falling in love with sylwanin. After that terrible event at grace's school, tsu'tey's whole life changed. He had now lost the love of his life and had to marry the younger sister of his now deceased beloved.
When jake came to the clan, it was also a big change for him. His whole world changed, and many bad things happened, but also some good things happened in that period. He no longer had to be with neytiri, not that he didn't like her…but they were like siblings. He felt more comfortable now that he knew she had her mate, and he was free. A year had passed since the confrontations with the people in the sky, and he felt it was time to start again. But everything seems to be going against him. No na'vi woman is fulfilling her standards…they're all wonderful. Amazing to be honest…but with none of them he feels that connection that he is supposed to feel when he sees her and knows that she is the one. He used to go pray to eywa to help him and light the way. He knew he was fooling himself, because she didn't work that way…but he had to try. Jake Sully had told him that Eywa had helped him and listened to him that time, why wouldn't she help a member of pure sage like him?
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes in surrender, he felt stupid. Very stupid… sitting down for the fourth time this week. "this is useless" tsu'tey thinks to himself, as he gets up from the ground. And disconnects himself from one of the tree's tentacles. Wiping his knees a little with his hands, he suppers and grunts with disapproval. Maybe he had to resign himself to the fact that he would never find his ideal mate…he would be alone for eternity. Tsu'tey didn't usually show his sensitive side with anyone, but this was affecting him a lot. Seeing the couples together….damn it, was mating season and he was alone. He starts to leave the tree and begin his walk home, again he was going alone to his hut. Walking slowly, lost in his thoughts. He was so immersed in his own being, that he barely heard the strange noises coming from above him.
It wasn't until he heard a loud noise that he stopped in his tracks and looked up. Out of nowhere and as if it was something sent from the sky. He saw a girl fall from a branch. How the hell did she get there? He doesn't know. And why is she here? He was going to find out. The girl fell very hard to the ground, and started moaning. "Shit…that!!! That hurt!!!" you speak, as you get up from the ground sitting on the wet jungle floor. You hadn't noticed tsu'tey's presence, so you were no stranger to being surrounded by tall blue men. So you are still very distracted by your punch, while the man is looking at you with wide eyes. This had taken him by surprise, he just stayed still watching you settle in and moan. You look up, making eye contact with him. "And you don't plan to help?" you speak, sounding rather haughty, how could you be so spoiled if you didn't even know each other. Tsu'tey says nothing and continues to stare at you quietly. "Aren't you going to talk? Ashhh hey YOU BLUE MONKEY HELP ME GET UP, I CAN'T FEEL MY BUTT" You yell, making gestures with your hands. Tsu'tey was in a state of shock, he knew humans were nasty, but you were on another level. No one in his entire life had ever spoken to him like that.
"Did you just call me blue monkey?" tsu'tey repeats what you just said, making sure he heard right. "Yes…blue monkey, are you deaf? With those big ears I doubt it" you speak, as you get up from the ground. You looked sore, your legs were shaking, the fall had been very hard and high. So your body wobbles a little, just as you were about to fall back to the ground. You feel a big hand holding you by your forearm. Tsu'tey holds you in place, observing you and analyzing the figure in front of him. You were a woman, you seemed to be almost his age. But you did not look like the other women he had seen in the human camp. Your hair was messy, your clothes were light, revealing more skin. And you had a few scratches across your face and arms. Where had you gone? "My name is Tsu'tey…nice to meet you" speaks tsu'tey, he had manners..so he was going to introduce himself properly. You feel him slowly let go of you as you regain your balance. "mmm your name is ugly" you speak, looking at him again as you had a cheeky grin on your face.
"Have you no manners or what?" tsu'tey sounds annoyed, moving a little away from you. You laugh, you knew you were teasing him and you really didn't care. "Yes…yes I do. But it's boring" you speak, as you start looking for something on the floor. "My name is Y/N" you speak, ignoring as tsu'tey approaches you again. I was analyzing you carefully, I had never seen you before, and if you were one of those bad humans? They were all supposed to be gone, so who were you. Tsu'tey kneels down to get closer, while he sees you still looking for whatever it is on the ground. He was getting so close, he's barely 1 foot away from you. "could you give me space… you strange thing" you speak, nudging him by his shoulder causing tsu'tey to come down from the clouds. And he will be back to his senses. "Who are you? I have never seen you before?" he speaks, you turn to look at him. He had his face to one side and his ears twitched with curiosity.
"You're not one of the bad guys, are you?" you look at tsu'tey, and laugh out loud. This one looks somewhat confused, and waits for you to respond. "No silly…" you speak up, ignoring him again. "But I've never seen you in that thing that calls it a lab" tsu'tey had to know who you were.
"I am the systems manager…I am not a scientist" you speak. Tsu'tey only understands half of what you just said, so she waits for you to explain more clearly. "Systems?" tsu'tey asks.
"Yeah…systems, these things (you touch the oxygen mask) and computers. Nothing special, I'm just trapped on this planet" you speak, now looking at the man in front of you. "Trapped? You wanted to go back to your homeland?" tsu'tey looked like a little boy, he didn't know why he was so curious about you. You were a damn home destroying human, why did he have to ask you all these things.
You sit on the floor, exhausted. You couldn't find your monitor, your back hurt and you were tired. "I can't go back…so I stayed here" you say, while trying to give yourself a self-massage on your back. "You are bad…and that's why you can't go back?" tsu'tey now copies your previous movements and sits on the floor. A few feet away from you. " Well if stealing 3 Walmart gift cards is being bad..well yes" you speak up. … … … "What is Walm?" tsu'tey was about to start talking, but you make a signal for silence. "Forgotten… I don't say anything. I have no one to wait for me back on earth. So I decided to stay here to help the team" you speak. "But you don't like the na'vi?" speaks tsu'tey.
"My area is technology…not wildlife" you speak, tsu'tey stands up straight. Aouch that had hurt him. He can see that you are still in some discomfort, because you begin to make a few pained noises." And what were you doing up there?" asks tsu'tey, as he sees your eyes move upwards. "I wanted to look for a signal…I wanted to see some videos of me…of my brothers" you speak, he can notice the sadness in your voice. He had no idea what the 'videos' were but he guessed it was something important. "I'm sorry" tsu'tey says, causing you to look up and look into his eyes. You had very pretty eyes, he sees you chuckle a little. And you look down again, now looking at the ground.
There was something about you that attracted his attention, if he felt lost. You looked, and he could sense that you were lost. Like you weren't quite right, for some reason he was worrying about you. And only 15 minutes ago he had met you. The silence was noticeable, you both just lay there…keeping each other company. It wasn't until a seed from the spirit tree slowly approached your body. Tsu'tey noticed their presence and followed the seed with his eyes. Watching as the creature moved from side to side, slowly falling towards your bare knee. It stares at you as you look at it, somewhat surprised but calm. He was about to speak until …..
slaps
"Are you crazy?" shouts tsu'tey lifting your hand from the seed. You had crushed it, you almost broke it. "that was going to sting me!!!" you shout too, watching as he takes your hand and lifts it carefully. Watching as the seed floats back up and flies towards your nose. Tapping it, you bring your free hand to your nose to touch it. "What is that?" you are still surprised. You've never seen anything like this before…you never used to leave the areas you were allowed to. "It is a seed from the spirit tree…they are part of eywa" says tsu'tey seriously. You had heard something about this tree and this eywa. "And it was going to sting me? Those things itch" you begin to speak, tsu'tey still holding your hand. "It won't sting you…eywa doesn't hurt. She wants to communicate" says tsu'tey.
"Well I don't want anything from her…besides I think I was going to get itched" you speak, crossing your arms. Tsu'tey snorts a little, ahhh you were unbearable. "Well…help me get back to the human zone. I have no idea where I am" you speak. Tsu'tey takes a deep breath and gets up from the ground. "Come…I will guide you" he speaks. Watching as you quickly get up jumping up and down in happiness. But you stop, and hold your back. You seemed to be in pain. You both set off to where the village was, the human area was not far from the village. So the direction was the same. Tsu'tey couldn't help but notice how your posture changed every 2 minutes the more you kept walking. "Are you in pain?" speaks tsu'tey. "A little…well a lot" you speak while touching your back.
"I know someone who might be able to help with that. Sure, if you want?" tsu'tey gives you a look, hoping for an answer. He hears you sigh. "It's okay" you speak, you had no choice…in the lab there wasn't much equipment to soothe the pain you were feeling. And you had heard that Navi medicine was very good, so you accepted the help. It wasn't long before you arrived at the navi village, and as you entered you noticed how everyone started to look at you. You were not a familiar face, to be honest it was the first time you were in the village. You had never been there before.
You had come to pandora 2 years before the altercations, and you were from grace's technical support team. You were basically grace's baby, and she loved you so much. You became close friends with Jake and supported your team's cause. You had stayed at the base with max, providing support from the inside. When the humans were returned to earth, you stayed. You had no one to wait for you at home…you were alone. And now you only had your team left, because you had also lost grace. You were never interested in what the Navi were doing, you knew some things. But you weren't aware of everything, like max, norm and jake. But now…everything was new to you. You see how several Navi kids come up to you and touch your clothes. And they laugh. "Hello" you speak, in a low voice. As you followed the annoying navi man who was going to help you. "There it is" says tsu'tey. Pointing to a hut, you could see it was quite crowded.
You both approach the hut, and enter. It was dark, but cozy. And it had a great aroma of medicinal herbs. It wasn't annoying, it was calming. Mo'at looks up as she sees tsu'tey enter, she was going to greet him but is surprised to see who accompanied him. A human with tsu'tey? Something was going on. "Mo'at…we need your help" tsu'tey speaks. Making a sign to you to come closer, you had been standing in the door frame waiting. You were a little scared, everything was new to you. You approach, and feel tsu'tey's hand holding your head. "She fell out of a tree, now her back hurts a lot" says the man, moving you a little to get closer to the woman. You laugh widely, while mo'at grabs your arm to get closer to her. "And what were you doing in a tree….girl what's wrong with you" says mo'at turning you over to examine what you had, pulling up your shirt. "My whole back hurts" you speak, but let out a groan. When mo'at touches the large bruise on your back. "Here it is…look" mo'at says, as you watch tsu'tey reach over to look at your back.
You move and pull down your shirt. "You pervert!!!" you yell a little, mo'at had pulled your shirt way up. You were dying of embarrassment and now he was going to see you up close. Or not…not that. "What's wrong with you…come HERE" mo'at says, grabbing your arm making you sit up. You were small, so it was easy to handle you. Tsu'tey sits in one of the corners of the hut, watching mo'at heal you and take care of you. He laughs a little, watching you fidget and complain about everything. He even watches as mo'at taps you on the head. You were chaos, but chaos that captivated him. After a while, mo'at ordered you to lie down, on one of the mats she had. You had to wait for the paste to dry, plus it wouldn't hurt to relax a little. So she lays you on your stomach, and you close your eyes.
Mo'at approaches tsu'tey, who is still staring at everything with fascination. "That girl…that's a mess" says mo'at in a mocking tone. "eywa…she touched that girl" says tsu'tey while still looking at your figure. Mo'at falls down for a moment, and turns to talk to the boy. "I know…I could feel it. And it has to do with you" says the woman, tsu'tey looks at mo'at in surprise. "With me?" asks tsu'tey, what did he have to do with you, he was just helping you. "mmmm yes….eywa gave you what you were asking for, that's what I could interpret" says mo'at, as he sees tsu'tey's eyes widen. "What's wrong with you?" mo'at is getting worried, tsu'tey was in a state of shock. What did mo'at just say? Eywa sent him…no no no no.
"Mo'at…I asked for a mate" says tsu'tey. Mo'at is surprised and gives him a look at the lying figure of Y/N. "I don't know what to tell you son…I don't know" mo'at doesn't know what to tell him or do, this is very strange. Even for her.
Night came quickly, and tsu'tey decided to stay and watch over you. He could not ignore what mo'at had told him. How could it be possible? Was it possible? He sees you start to get up, sitting up a little on the mat. You were going to touch your eyes, but you bump into the oxygen mask. "shit" you speak softly, as you listen and watch as tsu'tey sits down next to you. "That word I've heard so much these past few years" tsu'tey says in a mocking tone of voice. You roll your eyes, and decide to ignore him. "Feeling better?" asks the man, you turn so you can answer. And you can see how he was sitting. His feet were crossed, his hands were holding his feet nervously, and his tail was wagging from side to side. He looked adorable. "Yes…thank you" you speak, shifting your gaze quickly.
There was a small silence, until he began to speak. "Mo'at… she told me that the seeds of the spititus tree had chosen you" Tsutey says.
"To sting me? Yes" you speak, Tsu'tey sighs, laughs a little. "No…she chose you to" tsu'tey pauses, waiting for you to make a move. He can see, as you look at him slowly. "For what?" you ask. He takes your hand, and gives it a squeeze. You stiffen slightly, and look straight into his eyes. They were bright yellow. "For me." You move your hand, so that tsu'tey releases it. And you move away a little, moving hurts your back a little. So you stop, and tsu'tey tries to help me. "Easy…I" tsu'tey starts to speak, but he feels you push him away. "Don't touch me…you weird blue monkey" you yell a little.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you" tsu'tey says, moving a little away from you. Leaving you more room. He wasn't going to give up. Tsu'tey knew that eywa had chosen you for a reason, maybe you were the one who was going to help him find your ideal mate. "Yes…well you did, you idiot. And if you touch me again I'm going to poke your eye out with my own teeth" you threaten him a little, lying on your side with your back to him. He laughs a little, maybe it was you he had to find.

Tsu’tey was always a reserved man, never someone who openly displayed affection, at least, not for others to see. Known for his cold demeanor in the clan and never really minding that, Tsu’tey kept mostly to himself. That was until he fell for you.
The union between you two came gradually but swiftly, hidden in the unspoken words and lingering touches, like a precious gem that needed to be protected from the prying eyes. And Tsu’tey struggled deeply, because all throughout him courting you, all he wanted was to be consumed by you - to touch you as much as he could, to be immersed in your scent, to hear your voice and make you smile. But there was always the fear of scaring you away, so he contained it and locked it away, waiting patiently until the day you would be officially his - when you would truly choose him, the way that he had chosen you.
And when you did eventually mate, and the realization dawned that he no longer had to keep his heart caged, the love for you spilled out of him uncontrollably. His hands were eager to explore every inch of your being, lips trailing soft kisses all over your skin, as if etching the memory into his mind. So within the initial days after the blissful mating, both of you preferred to seek privacy, never leaving your home to enjoy the newfound connection. During these days, Tsu'tey became inseparable from you, clung to you like a second skin, obsessed with the way you were consuming all of his thoughts.
But as the day of reemerging into the public eye arrived, you suddenly felt intimidated by the idea of getting attention from the clan. Having already inherent innate insecurity, being openly with the chief added a new layer of complexity. After all, he was highly respected within the clan, and the standards for his chosen mate were high, casting a shadow of heavy expectation upon you. And as you returned to your communal duties now together, you attempted to make yourself small next to him, hoping that shrinking in his presence will keep you hidden from the eyes of the others. But his scent lingering on your skin announced the news of your mating loudly. You were naive to think that keeping a distance with Tsu’tey in public and minimizing the touches could be enough.
And while it was unfortunate that it didn’t work, what was worse was that it breathed a wave of insecurity into Tsu’tey. That perhaps, you didn't feel about him as strongly as he felt about you. At first, he tried to write it off to your reserved nature, thinking that you were probably just getting used to his affections, but the more you flinched whenever he tried to reach you, the more worrisome he grew.
As you sat together during the communal dinner, you were anxious, feeling as if you were being watched at all times.
“Yawne, you look… stressed,” Tsu’tey made an observation, reaching for your hand, which you instinctively pulled away from his grasp.
The surge of overwhelming emotions within Tsu'tey turned from pure desire and love to a perplexing mixture of confusion and pain. Even this slightest withdrawal in your response caused his heart to clench, piercing amber eyes searched for the reason behind your hesitance.
“Yawne?” he glared down at your hand now tucked between your thighs, as if trying to shield it from his own hand finding yours, “Are you ashamed of being with me?”
“No, of course I am not ashamed,” you shook your head firmly, surprise flickering in your eyes, “Why would I ever be ashamed of being with you?”
“I don’t know, Y/N,” Tsu’tey’s frown mirrored your own, as if it was a puzzle both of you desperately needed to solve, “Why do you pull away when I try to touch you?”
You shrank under his gaze, ears lowering in defeat or perhaps embarrassment, preparing for a vulnerable confession. Cautiously, you scanned the surrounding crowd to ensure no one was listening in. Tsu’tey reached for you once more, resting his hands over your shoulders, as if trying to snap you back into the conversation.
“It’s just… I don’t want to draw attention to us,” you bit your lip, wishing that you could take words back, “I know that everyone already thinks you are too good for me, so I don’t want to remind them of that.”
His expression softened, hands moving from your shoulders to gently cup your face.
“That is not true, no one thinks that,” his tone was serious, trying to convince you that he meant every single word he uttered, “And it shouldn’t matter, yawne. When it comes to you, I cannot hide my feelings. I have yearned for the moment to hold you and touch you ever since my eyes first laid on you. Please do not deny me that, yes?”
You nodded weakly, ears flattening against your skull in a mixture of embarrassment and flattery. Tsu’tey barely spoke more than a few words, especially when it came to his feelings. But he just wasn’t used to it, if he could, he would have screamed at the top of his lungs about how much he loved you. A mischievous smile then curved upon his lips as his mind raced with an idea to convey his affection to you openly, even without the need for spoken words.
A loud yelp escaped your lips, slicing through the air, as Tsu'tey unexpectedly scooped you up the ground and stood up, throwing you over his shoulder. It was so sudden, that your face almost collided with his back, and you had to frantically cling to his body to grip onto him. Your legs dangled helplessly in the air, desperately searching for the solid ground that had become too far away.
“Tsu’tey! Put me down!” you hissed angrily, swatting at his back, but he only chuckled.
The gesture, of course, drew the attention of the whole clan, and curious gazes fixated upon the scene unfolding before them. Annoyed by the unexpected display, you swatted at Tsu'tey again in an attempt to free yourself from his grasp. But instead of releasing you, he turned around dramatically and spoke loudly.
“Everyone, my beautiful mate and I will leave the dinner earlier tonight,” he announced, still holding you tightly, his hands gripping onto your thighs, “Please enjoy the rest of the evening without our presence.”
You could have sworn in that moment that you were probably turning purple from all of the embarrassment. Your heart raced, adrenaline rushing through your body, as Tsu’tey began to walk through the crowd with a snicker. Yet despite your expectations, there was no judgment in the looks you were receiving from the clan members. Still hanging upside down over his shoulder, you could see them only chuckling and nodding with smiles at the sight of Tsu’tey, always cold and unemotional, finally letting himself relax with his mate.
“Tsu’tey! Everyone’s staring,” you whispered shyly, as he continued to walk, carrying you effortlessly.
“Let them stare,” he chuckled weakly, delivering a soft smack to your bottom, making you gasp in shock, “They need to see the pure joy you bring into my life.” You bit your lip in amusement, his words were clearly aligning with the reactions you were getting. Tsu'tey's carefree demeanor and the accepting murmurs of your clan members reassured you that your bond was something to celebrate, not hide.

Baby Fever Pt.2
A/N: You are responsible for your own media consumption. MDNI 18+. This was at @eywaseclipse request
Pairing: Tsu'tey x Fem!Omatikaya! Reader,
Word count: 1917
Synopsis: Tsu'tey finding out he’s going to be a father and taking care of his pregnant mate
[Previous] // [Next]
[Request are open]
When the news of her pregnancy reached him, a sense of joy washed over Tsu'Tey; he was going to be a father. He rushed back to her, his excitement palpable. Tsu'Tey wrapped her in his arms, his gaze fixed on her changing body. Her bump was just starting to protrude, but it was enough to fill him with excitement. "I can't believe it." He exclaimed, planting small kisses all over her face. She laughed, Her laughter only served to fill Tsu'Tey with more joy. He continued showering her in small kisses, unable to contain enthusiasm. His hands were gentle as they grazed over her changing body. "Your belly is getting big." He said, as he brushed his fingers along her barley noticeable bump. She was glowing, and he loved it.
“ I won't show for a while Tsu'tey” she said
"I know." He replied, but that didn't take away from his excitement in any way. "I just can't believe it's really happening. We're really going to have a child together." To know that his mate was carrying his child was a joyful revelation. Tsu'Tey couldn't help but look on her with tenderness and pride.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Fast forward several weeks, and (Y/N) was visibly showing. The signs of her pregnancy were undeniable, and Tsu’Tey's excitement grew with every passing day. The clan eagerly waited for their new addition, as the two of them prepared for the arrival of their child. Tsu'Tey was more protective than ever before, his devotion was at its strongest. Any man who dared to look at his mate for too long or approach her for any reason, felt the sharp edge of his wrath. Though she was still dealing with one unpleasant side effect of the pregnancy. She lay against him feeling a bit sick she was still getting morning sickness.
"Are you feeling alright?" TsuTey asked softly, feeling a rush of concern as he noticed the change in her expression. She had been dealing with some slight nausea as a result of their child's development, and he was always concerned over her health, even more so now that she was carrying his cub. He paused for a moment, allowing her to reply, but he could not help but cradle her a bit tighter as his arms tightened around her. She nodded " I'm fine it'll pass "
"Promise me you will tell me if it gets any worse." TsuTey insisted as his face softened, his tone becoming more caring. He could not risk her pushing herself when she was in such a delicate state. Knowing that she was having a hard time with the nausea made him feel a little helpless, but he wanted to make sure she was comfortable and safe. “ I'm fine " she denied "Are you sure?" He asked again, still concerned, even though she had insisted she was fine. She usually pushed through anything without complaining, so her answer was concerning. He squeezed her and held her a little tighter, his thumb slowly stroking her belly as a gesture of comfort. She nodded softly "Alright." TsuTey finally gave in and chose to believe her. He couldn't stay worried over every little thing.
That said, he would not be deterred from taking care of her and doting on her. His hand continued to trail her stomach, and she could feel his fingers lingering on her belly, lingering on the baby within. She rested against him feeling quite tired. She had become quite tired from carrying their baby, and she often needed a lot of rest. Tsu'Tey was aware that she was not used to feeling this weary, having always maintained a high amount of energy in the past. Even now as they were standing still, he could feel her exhaustion through her body's subtle movements, and he knew that she could not deny her need for rest. "Let's go lie down." Tsu'Tey suggested, his voice low and gentle.
She gave in following him Tsu'Tey guided her over to their sleeping platform, where he helped her onto their bed. He then laid down beside her, taking her into his embrace as his arms wrapped tightly around her. He snuggled her close to him, ensuring her comfort, as his hand continued to trail her growing belly. She fell asleep in no time exhausted . Tsu'Tey stayed beside her, holding her in his arms as he remained awake for a little bit longer. He was aware of her exhaustion as her breathing became more consistent with sleep. He felt a deep sense of contentment at the moment, having her in his arms as they awaited their cub's arrival. It was an overwhelming feeling of joy that he couldn't describe.
She slept for a while until she was woken up by the feeling of throwing up again. Tsu'Tey woke up as he felt her shift. When he realized that she was waking up due to the nausea, he became more alert and attentive. He lifted his head and looked down at her, his brow furrowing with concern at the sight of her face. "Are you okay?" Tsu'Tey asked, trying to keep his tone gentle and reassuring as he sat up a bit, his hand gently rubbing her back.
She immediately grabbed the bowl by the bed dry heaving into it . Tsu'Tey watched her, his face full of worry as she threw up again. He had seen her deal with this before, especially just in the past days, but that did not make him any less concerned for her. He hated seeing her suffering as he hated how helpless he felt. He held her steady as she heaved, rubbing her back gently with his hands to try and alleviate the nausea.
She sighed wiping her mouth "Are you done?" Tsu'Tey asked her gently, his hands still rubbing her back. She nodded " sorry, I rather not have you see me like this.” Tsu Tey's lips narrowed at her words.
The idea of her trying to hide her struggles from him made him feel protective. He knew she was more used to pushing through whatever was thrown at her, but she was carrying his child, so he was not willing to let her do that anymore. His glare was strict as he replied to her, "I don't want you trying to spare me anything. I should be here to support you." She sighed , He was not going to budge when it came to her telling him about her struggles. He was well aware of her stubborn nature, and he knew she would keep things from him until she could no longer bear it. He was not going to let that happen when they were expecting a new life. "Now just lie down. I'm going to grab you some water." Tsu'Tey said to her, making his final stance on the matter.
She gave in He got up from the bed, moving away from her, and went over to their water flasks. He poured a bit of water into one of the cups and carried it back to her, handing it to her.
As he did, he watched her as she drank, hoping that it would help alleviate her nausea and allow her to rest comfortably. She washed her mouth out and drank the rest of the water He watched her, hoping that the water would help take the edge off and help her feel better for a while.
The last thing he wanted was to see her feeling sick like this, so watching her drink the water without throwing it back up immediately provided some relief. She finished the water and laid back down in their bed TsuTey got back into the bed and held her firmly as she lay down, wrapping himself around her. He continued to rub her back gently with one hand, while his other hand lightly trailed her pregnant belly. She yawned closing her eyes again His lips thinned as he saw that she had yawned, her exhaustion becoming more apparent with each passing moment. He knew she would keep trying to push through it, but watching her so tired only reminded him of how vulnerable a position she was in. When she closed her eyes and rested her head against his chest, he could not deny the overwhelming desire to just let her rest and allow himself to become wrapped up in her comfort for the time being.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
The months had passed since she announced the news, and (Y/N) was now six months pregnant with their cub. The prospect of becoming a father filed Tsu'Tey with a sense of joy and wonder. Tsu'Tey lightly trailed the swell of her stomach as he held her from behind, her belly resting within the cradle of his arms. She looked stunning in the way her body was changing to accommodate their child. She was truly the most beautiful woman in the world to him. He felt light movement, The feeling of movement in her belly made him smile. He had felt this a few times before, but it never ceased to amaze him. It filled him with pride and joy to think that he had sired the child that was growing there. He paused in mid-rub for a moment and leaned his head down to her stomach. "The baby is moving." He murmured softly, his tone filled with joy. “He's been moving lots more” she replied He chuckled softly at that. "He seems to be quite active." He had noticed the movement becoming more consistent in the past few weeks, almost as if the baby was impatient to make his arrival. His hands moved back to her belly and resumed gently rubbing.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Time had passed, and (Y/N) was well into her pregnancy. Tsu'Tey was elated at the sight of her swollen belly each time he saw her.
His hands would often linger on that soft roundness for a little too long, and he couldn't help but give it a soft caress every so often.
Their child's future arrival was on his mind often, and he wanted nothing more than to be a father.
He saw that she had grown so exhausted that she was falling asleep during their meal.
He did not blame her. Pregnancy was not an easy thing for she was having to endure for nine whole months. "Bedtime." He said softly, his voice firm, though filled with concern for her. The idea of her overexerting herself and not taking enough time to rest was causing more worry for every day that passed. She needed sleep, and she needed rest. He would not allow her to overdo things while she was in such a state. She was carrying his cub and needed to focus on taking care of herself. she nodded, he lifted her up into his arms and carried her to their sleeping platform, where he gently laid her down. He then climbed in next to her and wrapped his arms around her, protecting her until she finally gave in to sleep.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
The birth of their child was a momentous occasion for Tsu'Tey. The moment he saw their son, he was overwhelmed with pride and joy. His son was beautiful in every possible way — he had his father's features, and his mother's sweetness. He cradled their son in his arms, and his heart swelled with love as he observed the tiny human that he had helped create. Their child would be the future of their clan, and the hope of their people. Tsu'Tey was filled with adoration and pride.

To explain how you got yourself in this position, back arched and legs straddling your mates waist was an embarrassing story. What wasn’t so embarrassing was the toe curling stimulation your clit was feeling each time you rocked your hips back and forth on Tsu’teys abs. His fingers were gripped into your hips, watching you with a bold smirk on his face knowing he had you wrapped around his finger just from letting you grind on his tones abdomen.
Your pace sped up, feeling your legs jerk away from the overstimulation rushing through your puffy clit to your spine. A choked whine left your throat, and you resorted to bouncing on top of him, pressing down your clit to the stiff ridges.
“Feel good, yawne? You look so pretty getting yourself off like this.” He said, his accent thick with each word.
His deep voice rumbled through his own body, feeling the vibrations on your thighs as well as your heated hunt, only making you more desperate for your release. You brushed your hair to one side and over your shoulder, leaning your head to the corresponding side while you shut your eyes tightly. Your mouth was slightly open, making it easier for small whines to escape.
“S’good, so good..” You trailed off, returning back to your soft grinds.
Finding one spot, you pressed yourself down firmly on his abs, rocking your hips back and forth feverishly. Another cry left your azure lips, hands grasping on his shoulders. Despite the urge to jerk your legs away from the continuous motion, you held steady to aid the growing flutter in your stomach. You can hear how wet you made his chest, looking down briefly to see all your juices glisten. Your eyes trailed up to Tsu’tey, his eyes half lidded. His own hips rocked against nothing, wanting to get himself off after seeing your desperate attempt to get yourself off using his toned abdomen.
Instead of digging into your skin, his fingers ran up and down your sides, trailing up your back before sliding back down to your upper thighs. The subtle touches drove you crazy along with the fact that each ridge your clit went over was slicked up from your aching hole, turning you on even more. Your eyes rolled back, finally feeling the bearing satisfaction you’ve been craving the entire time, your hands darted to Tsu’tey’s, a habit you two nerve dropped. His fingers intertwined with yours and rested on your thighs, feeling your hole that was pressed to his chest clench around nothing as you finally climax.
“There we go, pretty girl. You feel better, yawne?” He said with a teasing voice, his naturally stern eyes gazing down at the white liquid dripping from your core and onto his slick abs.
“Clean your mess up, you know what to do.” Tsu’tey said, hand letting go of yours and gripping onto your hair, bringing you down to his chest.
You whined lazily, still coming down from the high as you repositioned yourself, going down to straddle his legs. You saw Tsu’tey prop himself on his forearms, watching your every move with those intimidating eyes, the ones you loved so much. You dragged your tongue across his abs, licking up your own cum and wetness. Grimacing a bit at the tangy taste, you gazed into his own eyes while doing it, lapping up each bit while he caressed your hair, brushing some from your face and away from your mouth while you continued to clean off his torso.
Once he found it to be enough, Tsu’teys hand gripped onto your soft throat. He pulled you up to where you once were, your arms following to help pull your body up instinctively. “Good girl.” He mumbled before bringing you into a rough kiss, his tongue forcing its way into your mouth, exploring each bit before he pulled away. Your ears pinned back, tail swaying as he left you wanting for more.
“That’s enough for you today, I spoil you too much.” Tsu’tey said, jumping to a squat. He kissed the top of your forehead, raising to his full height inside of the hut.
You readjusted your loincloth, standing up to your own height, which was just below Tsu’teys bottom lip. You wrapped your arms around his own, “You can never spoil me too much.” You said, voice coming off like silk to his ears.
“Nice try, but I meant it.” He said, giving you one of his rare smiles.
He’ll give in eventually.
