my most evil trait is the sick and twisted rush of joy I get when I notice a typo in a professionally published book. this must have gotten past dozens of rounds of edits and yet little old me was the only one to notice :)

Tea asks: Oolong and Matcha!
Oolong: How does your OC decorate their space?
You know that post that's like "I am not immune to little items. if there's a thingy I need it. 1million knick knacks" Hiram is exactly like that. He collects all kinds of peculiar little items, the townhouse is full of trinkets and his taste is very eclectic so anything that piques his curiosity gets a place on a shelf. All the items are easily accessible and he's happy to give them away if someone particularly likes them. He likes to fidget with the trinkets and move them around, and he doesn't mind his guests doing the same.
Among other things, he has a lot of zee baubles, various mineral samples, a collection of old souvenirs from all around Europe, a good amount of paintings in all the rooms and corridors, two library rooms (they're actually three but you didn’t hear it from me), so many floral arrangements, too many clocks and timepieces, an entire stack of daguerreotype cases, and so on and so forth.
His private rooms on the third floor (guess where the third library is) are the only space where guests are not allowed, they're methodically organised and (mostly) tidy. He keeps a lot of dried flowers in books and around the rooms, he's very fond of roses in particular. The third floor corridor is the only one with mirrors instead of paintings, their frames are beautifully ornate and intricate, but they're all covered by drapes.
Here's the townhouse moodboard, all the wallpaper is red or mauve, with darker or brighter tones and different decorations depending on the room.
Matcha: What is your OC’s preferred little treat?
He loves mini pastries, like tartlets or petits fours, and crème liqueurs ✨️

I'm so glad that my strange smart sweet sassy old woman baby has come home from the vet hospital but also we need Star Trek medicine specifically for cat convalescence because "oh just keep her from climbing, including stairs, for 7-14 days" is an objectively hilarious set of aftercare instructions.
[ID: a fairly close photo of a tortoise shell cat. She's curled up in a blue duvet and a grey towel and is resting her cheek on the towel. One eye is open wider than the other and she appears drowsy and unfocused. /end ID]

One of the reasons it makes more sense for a fairy to be on your porch is that a porch is a place designed for people to stand on. We instinctively anticipate the presence of person-shaped beings on our doorstep because that is where person-shaped beings are meant to be. Regardless of specific lore, a fairy is always person-shaped.
A walrus, on the other hand? Not only is it unlikely for a large aquatic mammal to be on your porch, it is unlikely you have ever thought one would ever be present on your doorstep. Before the question of 'walrus vs fairy' was raised, you could not have anticipated it.

And people say Haylor shippers are doing too much.
I mean, I wouldn’t be here if not for the fact that Haylor keeps having a reunion at the Grammys every other year 💀💀💀
They’re their own biggest shipper 💀💀💀
