Things I noticed, or liked, in House of Ashes while playing curator cut or watching my sister play.

Eric and Rachel really do have the ugliest wedding photo I've ever seen.

How close are Joey and Rachel? They really seem to know each other well when they talk in the briefing room! Maybe they’re friends?

Merwin says “Let me have a go” when he sees the UV lamp and I actually noticed that it was the name of an achievement (trophy).

Who whistles like that in the base?! Joey?! What the hell is he whistling for?! Please stop... it’s making me nervous...

“Fuck you and your vodoo shit” ...best scene ever... It scared me so much the first time though! X)

I just want to say that I love the whole battle scene, that’s all... Merwin and Clarice are hilarious!

My sister killing the shepherd without even an ounce of hesitation and has just as only excuse, “I panicked! He was running!”

I get Jason's joke to Nick far too quickly (the “I’m coming” thing) ...even with the English double entendre... I blame the community and the fanfictions for that...

I think we clearly don't watch the same horror movies Rachel, because never in my life have I seen a movie about Pazuzu.  

My sister, who quietly plays Salim, arrived in the cave: “I'm going to go near that rock there and... AH but it's a corpse?!”

My sister who is also afraid of the dark and therefore is forced to go into the tunnels after minutes of unnecessary reluctance... Just so funny. :)

Sorry but I want a lighter like Salim's, or Rachel's, these lighters are overpowering.

My sister when she comes to cut the rope or not: “Oh! I get it! It's like Until dawn!  ... *turns around in a panic* SO DO I CUT OR NOT?!” 

In the end, she didn’t cut the rope and killed Eric, her favorite character. So she raged and never came back to finish her playtrough.^^

On the other hand, I didn’t know that we could play Rachel and cut the rope ourselves?! That's great! Finally a good action from her!

Eric insulting Jason and Nick because they leave without him? Absolutely perfect, hilarious. And of course he does it behind their backs, the poor guy is too weak to fight his own soldiers. God I love Eric...

Seriously Jason, did you really have to spit in this hole full of skeletons? That's a little disrespectful young man, and weird.

Choosing the very hateful dialogues with Jason when you are with Nick is way too funny. Nick clearly puts Jason in his place, like: “Are you racist bro?” And Jason, very uncomfortable, trying to make up for it, just incredible. Go Nick, everyone is with you!♡

“Tick tack Nick.”? Seriously, Jason? Give me two minutes instead of rushing me with lame lines! I'm inspecting magic tablets!

I really didn't know you could say “Suicide bombers”, I was really surprised the first time because I thought we were only using the word “Kamikaze”.

Rachel looks like a snail when she is in the blood bath, left her little trail. Yes... it made me laugh. You have to find something to do when you've already done the same scene thousand times.

However, I still like, if it is, this reference to the climbing class. Seriously, if it's intentional from the developers, it's genius.^^

I don't know if it was just my computer or the game, but when Jason and Salim finally teamed up, the music got twice as loud. Literally I couldn't hear my friend on discord. So dramatic...

Situation: *I play for the hundredth time House of Ashes but strangely find something I never inspected: “Oh yeah, it leads to the other room over there and HAAA!” Damn jumpscare! It was after 1am and I thought I was safe so I was very relaxed. I let my guard down but I will never make the same mistake again.-_-

I had never had the “Keep your friends close but your enemies even closer” dialogue before, and clearly I found it adorable (and hot)! Jalim is so perfect.♡

les 1 ans de Lubrizol

Cher journal,

Aujourd’hui était encore un jour spécial, nous avons célébré les 1 ans de Lubrizol. À cette chouette occasion et pour marquer les consciences, Lulu s’était mis aux fourneaux dès l’aube afin de nous préparer sa spécialité; de bonnes spaghettis au pesto maison. Une recette indo-européenne, transmise avec rigueur et dans le plus grand secret par ces ancêtres Germains. Je sais juste qui faut une base d’ingrédients opalins, suaves et odorants, mixés avec détermination. Après ce festin, c’est guitare électrique mexicaine en mains, qu’il a continué de nous éblouir, nous gratifiant au passage d’un panache de riffs qui sentaient bon la rage rougeoyante et l’envie d’en découdre. Une seule prise suffisait à son génie anthropomorphique et allemand pour se libérer des flammes éternelles. J’avoue en avoir eu un frisson émotionnel, comme quand on s’assoit sur une machine à laver en mode essorage+vidange. Derrière l’ordi, Titi n’en pensait pas moins, je le voyais enchaîner les pistes brûlantes et les pastilles aux plantes aromatiques fabriquées dans le canton de Bâle-Campagne, en Suisse. L’ambiance oscillait entre recueillement électrique et feed-back vodoo, un doux cocktail d’aspartame et de sensations explosives.

C’est ainsi que la journée et cette nouvelle chanson s’achève. Je ne suis pas mécontent. La lutte, le combat, la vie, continuent.

Since I am currently messaging back and forth with a person, who seems so far genuinely just curious about stuff J1er/wincels say and the response Hellers/Jenmish have for that - so good faith - I just want to put it out there:

I appreciate genuine questions. But please, I’m only one fan. My words are not the gospel truth. They are what I have seen and experienced during my very varied time as a fan. I acknowledge that there are people with different mileages. But please don’t put clear bad faith J1er/wincel stuff at my feet. I have done my own research for years. I have watched, listened and learned. As I often say, I’m a lurker, I was there, even if people didn’t see me.

Mike, Patrick, Vinnie, Victoria, Special K and all these people are no authority. At all. They are far from redemption in my eyes because of the actual, real-life harm they are inflicting. Again and again. It’s not just things in the past. It’s still happening. (Which is why I have all of them blocked, whenever and wherever I find their accounts - real or socks. So many socks. *sigh*) It’s stalking of J2, violently hating on Misha, it’s spreading rumors about and defaming them to everyone, including politicians and everybody in the business they seem to be able to get a hold on, it’s doxxing fans for the “crime” of having a different opinion, it’s threatening to expose children to incest fics and actual CP, it’s gifting a fish hooked filled vodoo doll to Daneel during an event, so she could get hurt, or trying to actually get her banned from a con, because it harshed their vibes, it’s “Operation Kill God” with the attempt to hurt Misha during a con, it’s getting Destiel fans framed for stuff they did and thrown and banned from CE cons. So much stuff. So much hate.

Just because they don’t like Misha. Because that’s what it boils down to. Misha entered the show, his character got popular, the story of the show expanded to more found family and less co-dependent borther bond - thus including more fanon - and ultimately actual text and subtext of the show, thus canon - than just their ideas of incest/wincest/weecest. So they threw a fit. Which lead to Misha being fired, because they seemed so loud they could have been the majority. (It’s where the idea of their “silent majority” stuff comes from.) But the ratings went drastically down. Misha’s Cas was integral to the story and people stopped watching. So Misha got rehired. And ever since then the J1ers/Wincels are rage spitting. Why do I call them J1ers, when they are all about Jared and Jensen, you ask? Because they just as easily throw Jensen under the bus, when it fits their narrative. The little imaginary world they have build for themselves in their bubble. There are points in time when their hate of Jensen is only rivaled by their hate of Misha. So J1ers it is. Do I hate Jared? No, but I don’t care for him anymore. He might be redeemable, if he ever actually faces the consequences of his actions. But so far he has never even apologized for doxxing people, because he was mildly inconvenienced, for siccing his fans on people, for throwing tantrums, for ranting and spouting harmful rhetorik against LGTBQ+ issues, heck, for actually beating people up. Even when spending time in jail for it. And don’t give me his MHI as an excuse. No one chooses to have MHI, but one chooses their actions. I’m a mental health survivor and I don’t go around hurting people. But if I did, I would want someone to take me to task for it, so that I learn and do better. TLDR: I gladly help with genuine questions about the different sides in the fandom, so far as I can answer them, but I have a limit and above mentioned is why. Also videos of panels are online and a lot of stuff is found via Google.
