sorry for not posting much this week, scad’s midterms kicked my butt. however, i do have a research comic that I made for class, analyzing food wars!: shokugeki no soma. it’s going to be part of a larger cooking genre research zine at the end of my quarter, so stay tuned for that!

this comic was a little rough to make- i was doing an anatomy unit in another class while working on it, and you can (or at least i can, lol) see my style shift between the first and second pages. ^^’ overall, i had a lot of fun with it! looking forward to making my second one in a few weeks- not sure what exactly i want to focus on, but i have a lot of options. the cooking genre is waaaay larger than you think and it’s kind of crazy.

hi tumblr. :)

two weeks before spring break, and thank goodness for that! i feel like i have so many new skills now and haven’t had time to use them to the fullest extent. i’m hoping to make some personal stuff soon and be able to post something other than homework. although… break isn’t going to be very long. so we’ll see.

i don’t know how best to share the ezine i’m making for my sequential art class, but i really would like to find a way to share the whole thing here. i did a ton of research, and i’m really happy with it. (i got to talk allll about culinary fantasy and all of my current favorite manga and anime.) if anyone knows, please let me know! if nothing else i might just make it a publicly accessible google file.

i’ll try and pop some art in here tomorrow. if nothing else, maybe hypnos’s twin, caffeine (who i made as homework and then got very attached to.)

in the meantime, take care of yourselves, internet. :)
