I actually found it funny, sympathised with the characters and actually got SO EXCITED over stuff I saw in the film?

idc what nobody says, this film was fucking great. I had so much of my opinions changed for the better after watching and I am relieved about that tbh-

TiPo fanfic tropes I'd die for

I'm bored so here is me telling y'all my favorite tropes for TiPo that I love to read/write (warning some parts are le spicy-) sorry this is gonna be looooong

+ modern or highschool aus. typically with Tigress being of high status and Po being the "new" guy. I NEED MY BISEXUAL GIRLBOSS AND MY DORKY MALEWIFE IN THIS SETTING IMMEDIATELY OMGGGG

+ stories like. right after the end of kfp 2. it's usually very intimate, peaceful yet solemn at the same time and it's just. ugh. the hurt/comfort genre is strong with this one. BONUS POINTS IF PO OPENS UP ABOUT WHAT HE DISCOVERED ABOUT HIS PANDA VILLAGE

+ pining Tigress. I love me some flustered Po (especially since he's such a fanboy and him being in love with Tigress is SO CANON-) but. I a a sucker for the "they fell first but they fell harder" trope bc OMG. the thought of Tigress, cold, hardcore Tigress, catching feelings for Po? it's just so sweet to me to see the usually composed tiger get so flussy, even if it ain't as obvious as Po's pining is. her tail swishing behind her when he touches her? catching herself getting lost in Po's eyes before clearing her throat? instantly relaxing after Po rests his paw on her shoulder? knees easily buckling into his pleas? UGH I AM HERE FOR IT!

+mutual pining one-shots. quite similar to Tigress pining but they are *both* lovesick idiots. the slowburn is very much apparent but the romantic tension is so there like YALL JUST KISS ALREADY- or actually don't. stay comfy and close like this. it's cute :3 but maybe like hold hands if you can

+Tigress being able to gain more feeling in her paws when in contact to Po. like it is so unrealistic but IDC MY TIPO HEART DOES NOT HAVE AN OFF BUTTON-

+okay so like- them both acting out when they see the other get hurt in battle- like say Po got hurt and Tigress just rips the people they are fighting a new one just to make sure her panda is okay or Tigress getting struck and maybe even knocked out and Po just- flips out- loses it- goes feral- I live for that shit

+ WHEN THE FURIOUS FIVE, PO'S DADS, MASTER SHIFU- LITERALLY EVERYONE IN THE VALLEY SEES PO AND TIGRESS' CHEMISTRY SO WELL AND TIGRESS AND PO ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO ARE OBLIVIOUS TO IT DESPITE ACTING LIKE AN OLD MARRIED COUPLE phew sorry for yelling- bONUS POINTS FOR THE FURIOUS FIVE TEASING THE TWO AND PO'S DADS ASKING PO ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH TIGRESS

+ TiPoLei family! TiPoLei family! TIPOLEI FAMILY! (bonus points if everyone jokes about Po and Ti basically being Lei Lei's parents and them just going "yeah. sounds about right. that's our daughter :)" thus confusing everyone PFFF)

+ them being each other's dates to any festival that goes on. like they don't even need to ask each other it's just obvious from how Tigress sticks by Po's side and only participates bc Po asked her to LMAO

+ jealous Tigress- I know that people see these kinds of tropes as a bit problematic if not done right but gosh do I love me some jelly Tigress. pLUS THE DENIAL SHE WOULD PULL WHEN IT IS SO OBVIOUS? sign me tf up

+ I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually write this but I would love to have that little moment where. say in between kfp2 and kfp3 when Tigress got her new golden hanfu and everyone is praising her for it and Po. he just sees her for the first time in that new hanfu and does that cute lovestruck ":O" expression as he stays quiet and frozen. and Tigress is asking stuff like "Po, you okay? what's wrong?" thus taking him out of his trance and making him flustered- YES PLEASE

because can we talk about this one yall.

so recently, I made a fanfiction on my ff.net account (idk why it doesn't show on the front feed but if you wanna find it it's here as well as on my account) called Scandalous. a semi-wholesome, semi-steamy TiPo fanfic for me to indulge in. which yk, it's normal. it's okay to self indulge.

but there is a fucking limit.

if yall don't know, Tigresslover is a small creator on tumblr (and apparently now on fanfiction) who's main theme is to... you guessed it... basically be in love with Tigress from kfp.

now on it's own, there's nothing wrong with that, and ofc I wouldn't be talking badly about a small account who just simply liked a fictional character, I'm a small account that fangirls over fictional characters all the time, it's chill, we all do that.

but not at the fucking expanse of other people.

like if you look at this person's account alone, obviously they praise the Tigress art when reblogging it, which is appreciated for other small artists in the kfp fandom.

but there are times where this person would just see a TiPo fanart, take it, crop out Po, leave a caption about how beautiful Tigress is and just post it on their own account. no credit. nothing.

they literally morph other people's art, even little prompts people make (my art and my prompts included) and morph it to fit their own little picture.

I decided not to say anything about it and just move on at first. there were times where Tigresslover would reblog a prompt I make with their own prompt, writing it word for word, and just cropping out Po. basically stealing my prompt.

which, again, I did not say anything about, despite my discomfort of them basically stealing my idea. but I didn't see it as anything worth being upset about as, yk, fair, my own prompts were inspired (keyword: INSPIRED.) by other mainstream sources. so I let it go without causing flames. instead, I settled my discomfort by simply blocking them just so they won't copy my work.

and you won't fucking believe what happened next.

if you think I am bluffing on the copying before hand, I understand that. but please, I beg you to read my work that I linked above, with THIS recent work that came on fanfiction.net not too long ago. in fact posted literal DAYS after I posted my work. just look at them side by side. and see for yourself the true evidence.

oh. my. fucking. god.

when I tell you I am not overexaggerating when they copied my one-shot almost word for word-

literally the only change they caused to this fic is- you guessed it- taking Po out of the picture and inserting THEIR character in it.

I can understand if they were simply inspired by my work, fanfiction is so expansive and limitless, but there are bound to be some similarities within some works, I'm obviously not the first person who thought of this scenario as in fact I took inspiration of the plot in my story from a few saucy animatics I saw on instagram, but there is a HUGE difference between being inspired by something and just blatantly copying and morphing someone else's hardwork to fit a personal view.

so anyways, I flamed them in the reviews, and bc fanfiction.net is lagging with updates and has always done so, I am going to wait until it updates well enough so that I can report them for stealing.

the reason I bring this to yall's attention (if you're still reading which if you are, thank you for sticking around) is bc I know for a fact that I'm not the first and only person they have copied, I believe I even recognised rewritten and stolen work from fellow TiPo prompt accounts, and ofc I have seen them take many iconic TiPo artists in this fandom, crop out a good portion of it just to fixate on Tigress, etc. the only problem is that I'm probably not going to be the last they steal from, which is not good at all.

you may think I'm blowing this out of proportion, but I see great value in literature and art. I love seeing the effort, time and care fanartists and fanfic writers being poured into their works, and when someone takes their work, copies it and morphes it without even bothering to give credit, it's them just showing they're diminishing that time, effort and care. and that's not okay.

do with this information what you will, if you wanna block, report for stealing, or just go about your day as it doesn't affect you, I understand your actions either way. but I am personally going to report them. bc no one deserves to have their work diminished and stolen for someone else's personal views.

okay but is anyone else obsessed with that one trope where character A has been unsuspecting of the potential in usually dorky character B, so when they're fighting in battle and A is wounded and B swoops in to protect A with their whole life as they put their dorkyness aside and have their badassery in battle really shine through, A is just looking up at B. totally awe and love struck. okay sooo- uhm- I usually don't like self-promoting but I'm kinda- sad- atm-

so, um, on october 30th, like right before Halloween, I posted a fully complete, 6 chapter halloween kfp fic! it isn't my best work as I understand it probably doesn't hit all the good writing plot points but I was REALLY working hard on this fic for like- months- and though it's, again, not my best work, I am still really proud of the character I created for this fic, the way I analysed the characters of the furious five and just the fact that I- well- did something and completed it! and it turned out moderately decent!

there is one problem tho... my BF said with all the halloween craze, the readers won't be coming in right away- and I understood that! so I waited... and waited... and waited. and so far only 2 people have reviewed my story (with one of them being my bf which I absolutely love ; w ; precious boi I tell you), 4 people have favorited it and 3 people followed. and that's just on fanfiction.net at least I got a bit of growth in views on wattpad, being 153, but I'm pretty sure it's just people clicking on the fic, getting bored and leaving. and even still... no comments, no favorites.

guys... please don't do this to young writers. it's fine if you don't like our works, but at least let us know so that we can improve on our writing and actually MAKE something that people want to see! We crave reviews, feedback and validation as we put a lot of time and effort into what we create, ESPECIALLY FOR FREE and with VERY LIMITED TIMING.

I'm not mad at anyone, I'm not disappointed in anyone- but I'm mostly disappointed with myself. I don't want to make this into a pity party but I feel like I made something that's so bad, no one other than a few small amount of people will actually take the time of day to read it and give notes on it. I'm not expecting anyone to validate me but, this fic was a literal passion project that I've been wanting to do for a YEAR. I've been working on this for a YEAR. and though at first I was proud of how it came out, seeing that no one wants to even see it just immediately crushed my remaining confidence for this.

what's the point of sharing something your proud of with others if they're going to crush that pride?

maybe I'm just being arrogant or selfish- ;-;
