Jumputi Series #21: DNA²

A manga series written and illustrated by Masakazu Katsura, who might be more known for Video Girl Ai, I''s, or Wing-Man. It did receive an anime adaptation however. Synopsis: The manga follows Junta Momonari who has a "girl allergy" that makes him ill when confronting girls. He is approached by Karin Aoi who comes from the future where the world has become terribly overpopulated which can be traced to one who carried "Mega-Playboy DNA". After confirming this is Junta, she shoots him with a special bullet. She comes to find out that she used the wrong bullet and now has created the very problem she was sent to solve.

Jumputi Series #20: Death Note A manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and Illustrated by Takeshi Obata.

Synopsis: A high school student named Light Yagami finds the "Death Note", a mysterious black notebook that can kill anyone as long as the user knows both the target's name and face.

Characters: Light Yagami - He is an intelligent young man that is bored of the world and views it as deeply flawed, but obtaining the death note gives him the power to make changes that he views as right by killing off criminals. His intention was to eliminate crime and become the God of a new, better world. He as the killer would become known as "Kira", though none knew his identity as Light. He would eventually meet the owner of the Death Note, a Shinigami named Ryuk.

L Lawliet - He is an enigmatic young man who goes by the moniker "L" to hide his true identity and background. Despite his odd behavior, he's known as one of the world's greatest detectives and criminal profilers. He observes and spies on the activities of, Light Yagami and attempts to expose Light as the infamous serial killer "Kira".

Ryuk -He is a Shinigami who indirectly gives Light Yagami a Death Note after becoming bored with the Shinigami Realm

Near - He is the younger of L's two successors, raised in Wammy's House—Watari's orphanage for gifted children in Winchester, England.

Mello - He is the older of L's two successors raised at Wammy's House, Watari's orphanage for gifted children in Winchester, England.

Misa Amane - She is an up-and-coming model, actress, and supporter of Kira. She falls in love with Light and enters into a rather one-side relationship with him as he uses her for his own gains.

Jumputi Series #19: D-Gray Man

A manga written and illustrated by Katsura Hoshino.

Synopsis: The story of a young man named Allen Walker who joins an organization of exorcists known as The Black Order. They search for and use an ancient substance known as Innocence to battle demons of the Noah Family.

Characters:

Allen Walker - A young man who became an exorcist of the Black Order following years of training by Cross Marian. He was adopted by Mana Walker at the age of seven, who would die three years later. Following Mana's death, Allen turned him into an Akuma. Mana would curse Allen by slicing his left eye, giving him an ability to detect disguised Akuma. At this moment Allen's left-arm would also awaken as an Anti-Akuma weapon.

Yu Kanda - An exorcist of the Black Order, he uses a samurai sword with Innocence sealed within it to hunt Akuma. Kanda tends to be a lone wolf who doesn't really communicate well with many others.

Lenalee Lee - A young woman who was taken from her brother at a young age. After many failed attempts to escape a forced stay at the Order, Lenalee had a mental breakdown from stress and had to be kept restrained. Not long after, her brother joins the Order and helps her to think of it as her family.

Cross Marian - Is an exorcist and General of the Black Order who trained Allen to be an exorcist. He is notorious for disappearing for long periods of time. a man who loves to gamble and drink. When he gambles, he makes extravagant bets and, if he loses, he never pays, leaving Allen or someone else to do so. He loves very few things: women, wine, money and beautiful things.

Lavi -An Exorcist and member of the European Branch of the Black Order, He is one of only a few people to refer to Kanda by his first name, though often nearly gets killed for it.

Arystar Krory III - He is an Exorcist and member of the European Branch of the Black Order. A baron by birth, he spent a large portion of his life hidden in his grandfather's castle, He was lovers with an Akuma whom he eventually had to kill.

Alma Karma - A former Exorcist of the Black Order, a Second Exorcist, and the "First Womb" of the Third Exorcist Program. 

Millenium Earl - He heads the Clan of Noah and has existed for 7,000 years. The Earl tricks people who mourn for their dead friends or relatives into resurrecting them, and turns them into Akuma: weapons which consume human bodies and follow his orders.

Jumputi Series #18: Cobra

A manga series written and illustrated by Buichi Terasawa.

Synopsis:

Set in the far future, the series tells the story of Cobra, who lives an adventurous life until his enemies begin to hunt him down. Cobra surgically alters his face and erases his own memory to hide from his foes and have a normal life. Eventually, he regains his memories and reunites with his former partner Lady Armaroid. 

Characters:

Cobra- A Space pirate who had erased his own memory and surgically altered his own face to live a normal life away from enemies. After an encountering an old foe, he gains his memories back, reunites with his partner Lady Armaroid, and lives the life of a space pirate once more.

Gokuu - One of the "Six Heroes" who received the power of Komyojin (Ahura Mazda).  He commits evil deeds and is trapped in stone in the temple of Komyojin, but he escapes by switching places with Lady.  After that, the villagers and his lover, Ling-Ling, were killed by Crystal Boy's forces, and he joins Cobra for revenge.  He adores Cobra and often calls him big brother.

Lady Armaroid - A female "armaroid", and Cobra's most trusted companion with a strong bond. Her body is made of super-ancient technology "Live Metal" and she is very strong.

Dominique Royal - The third daughter of three sisters who would be suitable for Nelson Royal, a space pirate whom Cobra admires. She appears as a member of the Pirate Guild's combat unit "Snow Gorilla", but her true identity is an undercover investigator of the Galactic Patrol.

Jumputi Series #17: City Hunter

A manga series written and illustrated Tsukasa Hojo, this series has spawned a live action adaptation and multiple films.

Synopsis: Ryo Saeba is a woman chasing sweeper and private detective who works alongside his partner to clean up Tokyo. He and his partner Hideyuki Makimura (and later Hideyuki's sister run an underground jack-of-all-trades operation to do so.)

Characters: Ryo Saeba - A sweeper and private detective, his skills with a gun are only matched by his love for chasing after women. Ryo also has skills in hand-to-hand combat and can be a very daring driver when it is called for.

Kaori Makimura - Adoptive sister of Ryo's former partner and a tomboy, she becomes Ryo's new partner following the murder of her brother. She is primarily responsible for arranging clients and other managerial tasks. Kaori can often be seen punishing Ryo for his skirt-chasing antics.

Umibōzu - Umibōzu is another "sweeper" working the rounds in Tokyo. Umibōzu is a Special Forces enemy of Ryo's from the Central American conflict. Despite being on opposing forces, the two develop a friendship and mutual respect. Between his jobs, Umibozu works as waiter at the Cat's Eye café, owned by Miki, his former fellow soldier and wife.

Jumputi Series #16: Chinyuki Taro to Yukai na Nakama-tachi

A manga series written and illustrated by Gataro-man, it is often known for its disturbing art style and content. It has received a live action film adaptation.

Synopsis: This manga is sort of parody of "Journey to the West". Taro Yamada, a tyrannical and arrogant Kabuki who is like Son Goku, is subjugated by Genzo and becomes a monkey-like boy.

Characters:

Taro Yamada - A tyrannical and arrogant kabuki who is defeated by Genzo after being transformed into a monkey like boy form. He travels alongside Genzo but often attempts to escape subjugation.

Genzo - A traveling monk who takes over looking after Taro at the request of his parents. He often displays violent and generally non monk-like qualities.

Gansu - The leader of a foreign bounty hunter who wants Taro's head. Armed with the holy sword Namakura. Zamasu and Kaikai look down on him because he's an idiot. 

Zamasu - She is a magician and a member of a team of bounty hunters who came from the West to get the bounty that Taro Yamada had put on him.  Although she is not the leader, she commands the team in the fight against Taro because Gansu is unreliable.

Jumputi Series #15: Cat's Eye

A manga written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo, who is possibly more well known for the series City Hunter.

Synopsis: A set of three sisters run a café called "Cat's Eye" in Tokyo. The sisters lead a double life as a trio of highly skilled art thieves, stealing works of art which primarily belonged to their long-missing father, Michael Heinz, who was a famous art collector during the Nazi regime. 

Characters: Hitomi Kisugi - The middle sister of the trio and normally the one who actually commits the heists. She is often dubbed "The Cat's Eye".

Rui Kisugi - The eldest of the three sisters, she acts as the leader of the trio. Besides planning and outlining the heists, she often acts as a mother figure to the other two sisters.

Ai Kisugi - The youngest of the three sisters, she is a high school girl who often dreams of falling in love. She is the mechanic of the trio, adept in mechanics, computer programming, and engineering.

Toshio Utsumi - He is a police detective in the Inukami Police Department's Anti-Cat's Eyes Division and the high school sweetheart of Hitomi Kisugi who is unaware that she is a thief.

Jumputi Series #14: Captain Tsubasa

A sports manga written and illustrated by Yōichi Takahashi. The series is known to have been an inspiration for many Football players over the years.

Synopsis - The manga follows the growth of Tsubasa Ozora, an 11-year old elementary school student who has a deep love for Football and dreams of one day winning the World Cup for Japan.

Characters: Tsubasa Ozora - Tsubasa 's life was saved by his football in a road-traffic accident when he was barely able to walk, which has shaped his love for Football. Tsubasa works his way to becoming one of the most prodigious players in Japan, taking his city's team to the national championship and winning, then years later winning a small Jr. Youth International Tournament.

Taro Misaki - The other half of what is called Japan's "Golden Duo" with Tsubasa, the two met in elementary school at Nankatsu. Before moving to Nankatsu, he had traveled around because of his father's work, having played with teams that would become rivals to Tsubasa.

Genzo Wakabayashi - Often called Japan's best goalkeeper, the day Tsubasa arrived in Nankatsu, he challenged Wakabayashi to a duel. After beating him, the two became rivals and then eventually played on the same team. Wakabayashi becomes a source of support for Tsubasa, playing as goalkeeper for his first National Championship win. It is not long after, however, that Genzo travels to Germany to train even harder. He would rejoin Tsubasa during the Jr. Youth International Tournament as part of Japan's team.

Kojiro Hyuga - One of Tsubasa's biggest rivals during the National Championship, he led Team Toho. He was dubbed "Fierce Tiger" because of his fierceness and ruthlessness on the Football field which contrasted with Tsubasa's mindset heavily. It is in Nankatsu and Toho's final match against each other that Kojiro develops a respect for Tsubasa as the match ends in a tie.

Karl-Heinz Schneider - Dubbed the "Young Emperor" he is the captain and ace striker for the German national team and one of Genzo Wakabayashi's greatest rivals, being able to score a goal at him outside the penalty area. The first faced off while Genzo was in Germany as the two played for separate Football Clubs. He's the captain of the West Germany team in the Jr. Youth International Tournament, defeating Canada, Portugal and Uruguay, scoring a hat-trick in all three matches. He faces off against Wakabayashi in the finals against Japan, but despite scoring two goals, Japan wins the tournament.

Jumputi Series #13: Buso Renkin

A battle manga written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki, more famously known for Rurouni Kenshin.

Synopsis: This manga follows Kazuki Muto, a high school student who becomes involved in a battle against alchemical monsters known as homunculi. This happens after he is killed and then revived while saving Tokiko Tsumura from one.

Characters: Kazuki Muto - A young man who was killed by a homunculi when trying to save Tokiko Tsumura. When Tokiko replaces his heart with a Buso Renkin to revive him, he decides to help in the fight against the homunculi.

Tokiko Tsumura - An alchemical warrior who survived a homunculus attack that wiped out the rest of her school only 7 years prior. She survived by being rescued by Mamoru Sakimori but is left with a scar that serves as a reminder of the incident.

Captain Bravo - His real identity is Mamoru Sakimori, he is Tokiko's commanding officer. He abandons his name after not being able to save all people in the Tokiko's school

Papillon - Human name, Koushaku Chouno, he is a sickly genius. His illness is a big motivating factor, which leads to turning himself into a humanoid homunculus and then proceeding to murder his family.

Gouta Nakamura - A rookie among the alchemic warriors. Prior the series start, he trains with Tokiko, developing a devotion to her.

Shusui Hayasaka - The twin brother of Ouka Hayasaka. The two were raised by a woman who they believed to be their mother but after she died and they were picked up by the police, they found out that she was not their mother and had actually kidnapped them After running away to live on the streets they are found by L.X.E. and join as "familiars" looking to be turned into homunculi.

Ouka Hayasaka -The twin sister of Shusui Hayasaka. She possesses Kakugane XXII which takes the form of a large pink and red bow with a large decorated heart shape covering the handle. In addition to the bow it creates a bulky right-hand gauntlet with silver plating and finally a pink and red winged pixie-like automation.

Moonface - His real name is Lunare Nikoleav and is the closest L.X.E. member to Dr. Butterfly.

Victor Powered - Prior to the series' events, he is severely injured by a homunculus, and his wife, Alexandria, creates the black kakugane to revive him. Victor loses his self-control and kills everyone in the lab, as well as injuring his wife, who becomes a brain in a vat. He escapes from both the Alchemist Army and the homunculi led by his daughter Victoria, who is forced to become a homunculus, and goes to Japan. There he is healed by Doctor Butterfly.

Synopsis: The story follows Kotaku Bushizawa, a young man at Milk Academy who steps up to be a hero just before the Milk Academy Hero Club is on the brink of being abolished.

Character(s): Kotaku Bushizawa - A young man who dared to stand up to evil, he saves the Milk Academy Hero Club from abolition. He is always seen wearing a school helmet, even in the classroom.

A manga series sequel to Naruto written by Ukyō Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto, and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto.

Synopsis: Following the events of Naruto, this manga follows Naruto's son, Boruto Uzumaki and his ninja team. Boruto is frustrated with his father for placing the needs of the village over his own family.

Characters: Boruto Uzumaki - The son of the Hinata Hyuga and current Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, which frustrates him as his father seems to care more about the village than his own family. Boruto is part of a ninja team with Sarada Uchiha and Mitsuki.

Sarada Uchiha - The daughter of Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha. Admiring Naruto's dedication to the village, she resolves to become the next Hokage.

Mitsuki- A young man who claims his father is the legendary Ninja Orochimaru but the truth is, he's one of Orochimaru's clones.

Kawaki - A genin raised to be the to be the future vessel for Isshiki Ōtsutsuki and the key to the fulfilment of their greatest wish. After being brought to the Leaf Village, he is taken in by Naruto who adopts him as one of his own.

Shikadai Nara - The son of Shikamaru Nara and Temari. He is one of Boruto's closest friends and is very laid-back like his father. He also finds most things troublesome.

Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki - A member of the Ōtsutsuki clan's main family, sent to investigate the whereabouts of Kaguya and her God Tree and then attempting to cultivate a new one out of the chakra of the Seventh Hokage.

Jigen - A novice monk that became the vessel of Isshiki Ōtsutsuki and eventually had his body completely taken over by Isshiki invading it, acting as an Inner of Kara and its surrogate leader.

Naruto Uzumaki - The current Hokage, he is respected by many for his dedication to the Leaf Village.

Sasuke Uchiha - The man who supports the Hokage from the shadows. He still considers Naruto to be his rival even after all these years, but despite this, he is a loyal attendant to the Hokage and has even taken his son Boruto under his wing as his first ever apprentice.

Nacht Faust - A former nobleman of House Faust, the vice-captain of the Clover Kingdom's Black Bull squad of the Magic Knights, and a devil host. He spends several years working as a spy within the Spade Kingdom.

Yami Sukehiro - A descendant of the Yami Clan from the Hino Country and, as a child, shipwrecked in the Clover Kingdom. He is the first captain of the Black Bull squad of the Magic Knights and a former member of the Grey Deer squad.

Jumputi Series #10: Bonbonzaka High Drama Club A manga series written and illustrated by Yutaka Takahashi.

Synopsis: The story follows newcomer to Tokizaka High School, Shoutaro Juuna, who falls in love with Hibino Makoto upon first meeting her. He is then forced to join the drama club by the head, who turns out to be Tokudaji Hiromi who becomes obsessed with Shoutaro upon first seeing him. Shoutaro however does so willingly after learning that Hibino is part of the club, however many incidents cause the members to believe he is in love with Hiromi.

Characters: Hibino Makoto - A second-year and deputy director of the drama club. She is an idol of the school and she even has a fan club, who is not officially recognized by her. Her parents divorced because of her father's infidelity which causes her to hate men and lash out even the slightest touch from one.

Jumputi Series #9: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo

A gag manga written and drawn by Yoshio Sawai, often times known for its wackiness and parody of other Shonen titles.

Synopsis: Bobobo is a rebel who uses Hanage Shinken (Fist of the Nose Hair) to fight against the Hair Hunts, a crusade by the Maruhage Empire to shave every person bald.

Characters: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo - The titular character, he was trained by the same master as Gunkan to use the Hanage Shinken. He was then awarded the title of True Master of the Fist of the Nose Hair because of his heritage in the Hair Kingdom. He now uses that martial art to fight against the Maruhage Empire and end their Hair Crusades.

Don Patch - A character Bobobo becomes allies with, he is the leader of the Hajike Gang who oppose the Maruhage Empire. He quits the Hajike Gang claiming they did not give him space, but really he did so to go wig out more with Bobobo.

Heppokomaru - Another ally Bobobo makes along his quest against the Hair Crusades. He is a master of the Onara Shinken (Fist of the Back Wind). He joins the group after saving Beauty on two occasions.

Beauty - A young teenage girl who is often the voice of reason of the group. She is the first rebel to join Bobobo's group.

Tokoro Tennosuke - A member of the main Hajike trio, he first spent life trying to be sold in a supermarket, followed by working for the Maruhage Empire, and then a bit after his defeat he joined Bobobo's group. Underneath his cold and serious exterior lies an emotional mess.

Softon - Formerly from the Babylon Kingdom, Softon worked for the Maruhage Empire as the protector of the Jet Black Room before being defeated by Bobobo. After helping Bobobo a bit and a few other situations he would officially join the rebels against Halekulani.

Hatenko -A user of the Kagi Shinken (Fist of the Key). he is an emissary of Bububu sent to find Bobobo to help save the Hair Kingdom. Often seen as one of the saner characters, his fanboy like attitude towards Don Patch can bely his serious nature.

Dengakuman - A small creature whose only concerns in life were making people eat Dengaku and making friends. Dengakuman was the leader of the Z Block, the most powerful of the Head Hunter blocks, before encountering Bobobo and the group. He would later join the team permanently.

Gunkan - The first of the Maruhage Empire Four Heavenly Kings, a former friend of and now rival to Bobobo. Gunkan trained to become the Seventh Master of Hanage Shinken alongside Bobobo, but ultimately Bobobo won the title over him. Now he uses his hatred of Bobobo as a scapegoat for his work as Head Hunter.

OVER - The third member of the Maruhage Four Heavenly Kings, he takes his job as a Head Hunter very seriously. He shares a body with Torpedo Girl, neither can exist while the other does. OVER appears emotionless except for a slow building anger during battle.

Torpedo Girl - The other half of OVER, she is even unpredictable to Bobobo and the gang. Unlike OVER who has a slow building anger, she can become angered at the slightest of things.

Halekulani - The fourth and strongest of the Maruhage Four Heavenly Kings. He also owns the amusement park Hallelujah Land.

Bobopatchnosuke - A fusion of Bobobo, Don Patch, and Tennosuke, he is a completely serious warrior with some unserious mannerisms. It is said he can only last one minute in form but may be unlimited in Majide Time.
