3 Terrible Three Questions (Round 14)

What’s your favorite food, and why?

Lionel (🏹): Gyro meat! It’s everything good about lamb, and everything good about beef, rolled into one deliciously seasoned experience! Plus it’s good one its own, or in other stuff, like salads, if you’re into that.

Delano (🌰): My grandma’s turtle pecan cookies. What can I say? They’re sweet, gooey, nutty, and always cheer me up.

Piper (🎶): Seafood, in general. I don’t particularly have a favorite. All seafood has a distinct flavor quality to it that makes it stand out as more enjoyable than other meats. The work involved in eating foods such as crab and lobster is also rather appealing to me.

How much junk food do you eat?

🎶: I don’t particularly like junk food, so I tend to avoid it. But pastries are an exception. I mean, the occasional pain au chocolat never hurt anyone, right?

🏹: Not a drop! I’m particularly proud of my level of discipline. I’ve never succumbed to buying those…really good oregano chips… or those delicious fried meats, or… any other savory treats like that.

🌰: I try to avoid them… but I just can’t help myself when it comes to sweets! If there’s a cookie or a nice, chocolatey candy nearby, I have to take at least one… or two… or a dozen. 

What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?

🌰: Butter pecan! It’s sweet and simple and delicious.

🏹: Watermelon! Don’t knock it ‘til you try it!

🎶: French Vanilla. Yes, plain French vanilla... Stop looking at me like that!

Do you believe in luck? 

Piper (🎶): Of course not. One doesn’t become successful relying on something like that.

Lionel (🏹): Only in how lucky everyone else is to have me around!

Delano (🌰): I’d like to say no. But truthfully, yes, I do think it exists. When it comes to things like love, or even just meeting people in general, you’d be surprised by how much of it relies on circumstance.

Do you consider yourself lucky?

🏹: Luck? Who needs luck when you’re already the greatest?

🌰: Hm. That’s a bit hard to answer. I consider myself lucky for some things, but also unlucky in many others. I guess that would make me a bit closer to average, then.

🎶: …next question.

Do you have any superstitions? If so, what are they?

🌰: When I finish freshening up in the morning, I blow myself a kiss in the mirror for good luck. It doesn’t usually work, but I think it’s the intention of making the day great that counts. 

🎶: Well, I do suppose I have a habit of checking every inch of my dress ensemble before I perform. One year, during a spring performance, I had accidentally put my coat on inside out, and it mortified me enough to always check everything before going out on stage. Just in case.

🏹: Um… well, I do have this thing about always stroking the fletching of my arrows before firing them. For some reason I seem to do better in archery when I do that, and since it works, why question it?

3 Terrible Three Questions (Round 12)

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

🏹: Morning person, through and through! In fact, I have the most energy when the sun is high and bright in the sky. By the time late afternoon rolls around, I tend to get a little drowsy… which totally isn’t my fault from not getting enough sleep!  It’s... biology.

🌰: Hmm, I’d say morning person! At least after I’ve had time to freshen up and get dressed. I can’t do anything until I’ve made myself presentable!

🎶: Night. The moon is a calm, comforting friend who keeps watch over the dark and my practice, a friend, while the sun is an obnoxiously bright fiend. I hate mornings.

What’s your nightly routine like?

🎶: I shower. Brush my teeth. And then start practicing. Nighttime is ideal organ practice time, because no one else is around to bother me, and my attention is unfortunately demanded elsewhere for much of the day. If I have time and haven’t already fallen asleep before practice is over, I try to get some light reading in before retiring my glasses and going to sleep. 

🌰: Well, first thing’s first, I can’t go to bed until I’ve showered and washed the day off of me. So, I do. But then, my hair and fur are still wet, and I can’t sleep while they’re wet. So, I finish freshening up, and then I usually settle in for a book. By the time I start drifting off, my fur’s finally dry enough to let me head off to bed. It’s a wonderful system.

🏹: Night routine? I just change into my pjs and go to bed! It’s too much time worrying about all that hygiene stuff before then. It can wait until the morning.

What’s your sleeping position?

🌰: I’m a side sleeper, first of all. It’s difficult to get to bed when you’re lying on top of your tail. I tend to curl up a bit more as the night goes on, usually holding one of my pillows. It’s a bit hard to sleep when I don’t have something in my arms.

🏹: I prefer to sleep on my chest, face propped up on my pillow. It’s a lot more comfortable for my tail and ears that way.

🎶: I can only sleep comfortably when I’m lying straight on my back, head on my pillow, and with my hands folded across my chest…why are you staring at me like that?
