The US single-handedly blocked the UN from recognizing Palestine by vetoing a draft resolution in the Security Council that recommended that “the State of Palestine be admitted to membership of the UN.” With 12 council members voting yes, a clear majority voted in favor; only the UK and Switzerland abstained.

Meanwhile, 139 of the 193 UN member states already recognize Palestine, virtually all of the world safe for the Global North and its closest allies.

Even in the EU, several countries are set to recognize Palestine soon. Since 2012, the Palestinians have been a non-member observer state to the UN, a de facto recognition of statehood granted by the UN General Assembly.

However, the Security Council and then at least two-thirds of the General Assembly must approve an application to become a full member of the world body.

The Palestinian push for full membership came six months into Israel’s devastating war of extermination against the Gaza Strip, and as Israel is expanding settlements in the occupied West Bank, which the UN already considers to be illegal.

Being a Milkman wasn't easy. The job took Francis Mosses all over town, lugging crates of milk from his truck to deliver quench the thirst of citizens. His company serviced anyone who paid, no matter how dangerous the area. He'd been robbed more than once, and when he was in the safety of suburbia, he had to deal with insecure men sizing him up, and the subpar flirting of neglected housewives.

His days off were cherished, and as he returned from another grueling day, he was planning on what he'd do tomorrow. Like most days, he'd likely end up sleeping in, cooking a simple meal, and being glued to the couch as he watched sitcoms.

His lips quirked up. It sounded like heaven on Earth.

So caught up in his fantasies of relaxation, he didn't notice the DDD agents dragging out an unruly doppelganger, kicking, clawing, and spewing profanities. He did, however, notice when the thing got loose. Instead of attacking the agents restraining it, the doppler charged at him, the maniacal smile one Francis would never forget.

He stumbled back, panic gripping him. But before he could be harmed, a bullet to the head put the doppelganger down. Blood spewed on him, taking his attention off the creature's body falling to the ground.

How disgusting.

“Sorry about that,” an agent said as he hoisted the body over his shoulder, a hazmat suit obscuring his face.

“It's fine,” Francis replied, despite his skin crawling at the sensation of blood trickling down his skin.

It wasn't, but what the hell could he do?

He tried to ignore the agents as they threw the body in their van, but he couldn't ignore the gory evidence they left behind. He craved a shower, the thought of hot water cleansing him almost addictive. A few more minutes, and he'd be in the safety of his apartment, able to make his fantasy a reality.

He fished out his documents as he reached the front desk, unaware of the way the attendant gaped at him.

“W-what’s on you?” They sputtered out, looking at him in horror.

He froze, realizing how it must've looked. As he examined their expression, he knew it'd take a hell a lot of convincing for him to return to his apartment.

He sighed heavily. What a shitty day.

but I hope we get to explore more of their relationships in the future! how reader and the twins dynamic is now, whether anything’s changed with jona and sanyu being born, ofc jona and sanyu’s relationship with their mama and papa, the twins and the kids, bcs I’m now assuming suguru and yua adopted the twins so technically the family portrait will have all 4 of them in it ..

also poor jona 😭 he keeps catching strays … first suguru expects the best of him and gets annoyed whenever he displays normal! behaviour! of! a child! then everyone followed suit and caused him to feel lonely leading him to be immensely attached to his mama which is what suguru is annoyed about in the first place but he refuses to stop the cycle 😭 then a horrible nanny left him to drown nearly killing him and leaving yua despaired beyond belief leading to the birth of sanyu (which I was wondering if you’ll explore it later on? like in-between the spare and nightmares) and then he faced a horrible curse which probably traumatised him and all his daddy cared about was pounding his mommy’s ass and patching up his wound …. 😔😔 but good for yua for being an AMAZING mother and risking suguru’s wrath just to ensure the well-being of her children … love it sm that’s why she’s the main character!!!! /j

I'm so happy you're enjoying the series! I know updates to it are slow, but I plan to release another multi chapter FES fic sometime this year. As for sending more asks, feel free to do so, because I love getting into the logistics and character analysis for the fics I write.

All the upcoming fics in the series will explore family dynamics. Since Yua is the MC, it'd largely be centered on how everyone interacts with her. Things with Suguru will remain tense, and her relationship with the twins will be up and down. And yes, I imagine they are adopted at that point, which will be made clear.

The way the twins treat Jona strains their relationship with Yua, and increases her resentment toward Suguru. He's the root of all evil to her, and she's aware that the girls will do anything to please him, evident when they left her to fend for herself in FES. Yua's feelings toward them are conflicted, as she knows they're impressionable, traumatized children, but their actions have caused harm. First to Yua, and now to Jona.

Speaking of Jona, the nanny incident will definitely stick with him, despite his young age. As is what happens in Nightmares, which will be revised to better match with Spare. Both will lead him to cling to Yua, but also to be a protective big brother. His brother, (and any future siblings), and Yua will become the center of his world. As he gets older, he'd be willing to make sacrifices for them, i.e. willingly training with Suguru. Time jumps will happen between fics, so we'll get to see Jona evolve.

None of Yua's pregnancies were good news to her, but each child she births she loves. Moreover, she's aware her kids are the best way to get back at Suguru, as having them devoted to her undercuts one of his motivations for heirs: blind loyalty. Unlike Suguru, she doesn't see her kids as pawns, or even extensions of herself, but as their own person who need protection. Yet, some pettiness is present in her parenting, and making sure her children dislike their father is very important to her.

It's hilarious because the satosugu have healthy boundaries with each other but they are totally fine with manipulating and gaslighting the mc into staying with them. It's super dark, creepy, and just overall amazing!!!

okay fine not technically satosugu buuuut it's so so good so pls read!!! it's fem!gojo dark sapphic fic so you know its amazing. basically the mc is fem!suguru's ex and satoru gets jealous cuz of how perfect the mc is but then ends up obsessing over the mc too. so ig it kinda counts as satosugu cuz suguru and the mc used to date!

There is a first part, but its satoru-centric. The story is told in alternating flashbacks where suguru is the mc's past and satoru is the mc's present (for now). I especially love it cuz the mc is older (like mid-thirties). it's so refreshing cuz typically the mc is always like late teens and early twenties. This fic actually inspired Monsoon! I totally forgot to add that in the a/n
