Ok so that other post really got me thinking and like…no wonder Aang is so freakin quick to offer advice. That isn’t just him trying to be a good friend that’s him carrying on Air Nomad culture. That’s him acting according to how his people have always acted. Only now it’s not appreciated. Only now his advice is akin to “pre-school teachings” and not worth listening to. No wonder he wanted to cry when Katara shouted at him about his “infinite wisdom getting old”. Like ok, obviously being yelled at fucking sucks. But I bet it was mostly because he was raised with the understanding that the monks teachings meant a great deal to the entire world. And now it doesn’t.

He woke up in a time when all those teachings meant nothing to anyone but him.

Oh yeah 100%; talked about it in my last QnA video! One of the questions was "what are your favorite characters" and I just started rambling about my different favorites and for what reason lol. Danny Phantom's always been one of my favorites and when I saw Artemis for the first time I knew I needed to write a story of another DP next-gen interacting with her. But then I couldn't decide on gender so I made the twins!

Artemis being the reason behind Paladin making new kids was not on my 2024 bingo card. What about you Callyie?

I kinda knew she was their favorite, but I didn't know that was the whole reason. That's awesome.

Now how about this for not being on your bingo cards: I finally finished that massive G:RS episode with Kaydence! Maybe it was just a coincidence with the recent next gen asks I been receiving, but the other day I went back reread all my old fics and WOW! I was hooked! (I haven't read them in a few years at this point) I was so inspired that completed the fic in just two sittings.

I just need to edit it and I want to create an cool cover for it. Hopefully I can work on it over the weekend (I do have a private commission that is basically done first).

I think y'all OG callyieverse fans will like it. I even added a few things that connect Kaydence to Hank a little more to go along with King's idea.

You have to recognize your capacity for harm. You cannot omit the harm you've done to others to remain "good." Anybody can be a bigot. Anyone can be an abuser. Anyone can harm anyone at any time even those who have been harmed themselves. The world is not made up of victims and villains only, this is life, not a Saturday morning cartoon and you are a human being who can or maybe even has hurt others and you HAVE to acknowledge that to learn to be better.
