"You both had your reasons...I'm not upset with either of you." Axel reassured. "What's done is done, I fixed it, it's just...it's just childish trauma that one day, who knows, I might laugh over." Axel stated, going off in a small and sad chuckle before standing up and starting to pace. "I just...need to train more...work more...yeah...I can work this out myself...I shouldn't have even bothered you guys with it. I'm the Champion of Hoenn, I can handle this myself..." The more she talked, the more it sounded like she was trying to convince herself. Another heavy sigh and a hand through her hair happened before she spoke up again. "And I'm rambling again...lovely..."

Axel wanted to play it off, say she was fine, but that was an argument she doubted she'd win. Her Mightyena whined and looked up at her. Axel took a deep breath and grabbed Maxie's hand on her shoulder.

"...It's the same nightmare whenever it happens...it's...them. Groudon...Kyogre...Rayquayza...I failed...and I die...the only thing that changes is how I die." She explained, not wanting to go into more depth than that. There were more details, but she was fighting to just say what she said alone.

"Eco-Terrorism is something that Hoenn law authorities don't exactly mess around with." She spoke monotonously, mindlessly tracing patterns in her Pokemon's fur. She replayed those events in her head...it was why she couldn't sleep. Fighting primordial gods, being possessed by one of them, and then fighting to get the highest authority in Hoenn to save both her parents was not an easy feat.

She couldn't properly process what Maxie had said initially, having just woken up and was far more confused than she would have liked. There was pain in her chest and her head spun to no ends.

"Wha...where...where am...what happened?" She'd ask.

[ hospital ] sender wakes up in a hospital bed and finds receiver sitting by their bedside

Maxie quickly stood up and spoke once he realized that the other had woken up. "Who did this?" He said with a stern tone. "Who harmed you?"
