I adore the shots of his reaching hand. The lighting. The pacing. The different perspectives. The shots of him mirroring the imps. Oh my god. It’s so good I just can’t 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭✨✨✨👏
So amazing. You’ve done an incredible job, thank you for blessing the internet with this
do you ever just see a campy villain from an old kid's cartoon and want to give him all of the love in the world? because i just spent a month making an animatic about the bad guy from cyberchase. if you can decode the binary at the end i'll give you a (metaphorical) cookie.
i was really inspired by @tuhhadkeryo's interpretations of him with the circuits under his skin on one of the frames. and @inspectorspinda's my fair lovelace fic on ao3 for the shots with ada and hacker. as far as i'm concerned, their past not-quite-friendship is canon. sorry for tagging, but i think their work really deserves recognition.
Bio: Alicen is the main organizer of her own animal sanctuary. Even as a young borg, she has had a deep love of animals and is fiercely protective of them. Alicen is a part of efforts to rescue animals, big or small, from terrible situations. Due to this, she often comes across Nero the Animal Hero. The two collaborate a lot since their first meeting.
Extra Info: Alicen's 'halo' and necklace are actually weapons she uses to defend herself. The grey ovals turn into blades when in 'offense' mode.
I suck at it. Big beautiful eyes, clean lines, soft cheeks, children, puppies, kittens. I’m really bad! I draw everyone monstrous kinda. I’m working on it though, but it’s a challenge! 😭
24. whats a compliment about your art that has always stuck with you?
Well this took a bit of thinking! I suppose a lot of compliments stick with me, like being: good with hands, good at shading, blah blah blah. I try to capitalize on that.
But in reality the biggest thing that’s stuck with me for YEARS is something my Grandmum said. She looked at my art for a minute or two then was like, “You know, your art style is grotesque to me, but the idea that it just comes out of you like that is amazing. Keep going.”
Probably not word for word like that but it’s close enough. It was a learning moment for me as not everyone is going to like your style so make it absolutely amazing in that style. I stopped holding back on things that I used to think made my art ugly that I REALLY enjoyed drawing like: lots of wrinkles, harsh lines, detailed nostrils and teeth, spiky hair…etc.
Ik that comment will probably sound kinda mean to others but in the moment it was helpful. Thanks Granny.
Always wanted to redraw that one scene with Slider. Altho when I did I liked his hair too much to cover with a helmet, lmao. Ref and alternative under cut
