‘Just found out about eating animals, not good’ was literally me at age 6, I genuinely didn’t know or think about what meat was. My friend told me her aunt was vegetarian because she didn’t like that meat was animals, and that was an unpleasant surprise. I never ate it again. (and vegan since 17)
That’s actually wild. Thanks for sharing 💜

Install Shinigami Eyes. There are transphobes in your notes
I’ve actually had it installed for years. But I don’t really check my notes.

i wanna ask carnists what its like to never eat vegetables or wear any form of clothing? or do they actually take part in 3/3 harmful industries instead of 2/3 and pretend they somehow have a gotcha?
You can’t ask that. It’s a hate crime against carnists. Let them be.

You walk in and see your man (or partner of any gender) shotgunning nutritional yeast straight from container to mouth. Wyd?

Just wish all sentient creatures could know peace and gentleness. If they can feel, if they can be aware of their surroundings, why only some of them get pets and cuddles, and the others get slit throats and years of confinement? If a dog can feel the same as a cow, and a pig can feel the same as a human, why shouldn’t they be granted respect and gentleness?

When I was going full vegan, I based a lot of which no vegan foods I stopped eating by what I had in the fridge. Once I ran out of milk/eggs/butter/cheese that was it. I found it a lot easier to control what I bought from the store than what I ate while at home. Also, less food waste! Which made me feel better.
That’s a great point! It’s definitely easier to make the choice at the store than at home.

For me cheese wasn’t a massive issue because I didn’t eat much anyway, but I think going cold turkey is the best way. I’ve heard that it’s better to wait a while before using alternatives as they taste different in comparison but work once you can’t remember the taste as precisely - @veganchazza
Big agree. You’ll be hard-pressed to find exact dupes when dairy cheese flavor is still so fresh in your mind. Some come really close, but they won’t always be exactly what you are expecting. The important thing to focus on is the reason for cutting dairy.

I really think cutting out cheese has got to be a cold-turkey decision (because Casine is so addictive to most people)
That’s also true^^^^

hello, I appreciate ur blog!! Am a lifelong vegetarian (never ate meat and avoided eggs) , do you have tips to cut out dairy?? I want to go full vegan this year, so far I have oat milk and nondairy butter but am still having cheese :(
For me, my biggest cheese-related hurdle was mental. Once I decided to phase it out, I stopped eating it in about a span of 48 hours. You can try looking for non-dairy alternatives, but cutting it entirely is as effective imo. When I first went vegan, I tried to replace a lot of stuff I was missing. These days, though, I really couldn’t care less if something has vegan cheese on it or not.  Maybe some of my followers have useful tips! Would love to hear from y’all <3
