the most unrealistic thing in ds9 imo is in the melora episode when julian goes into her quarters and they switch off the gravity and he’s supposedly never experienced that before... my guy you’re in starfleet you’re very likely going to live in fucking SPACE either on a starship or space station/outpost etc with artificial gravity that can malfunction there’s NO WAY you don’t go through antigrav training at some point!!! in the episode melora even disables the gravity on the runabout!! and i don’t buy it that someone with julian’s curiosity would skip those classes.

right although this week’s episode was considerably better than last week (now THAT thing is down there with omega glory, paradise syndrome, code of honor etc) snw is still my least favourite trek cause it’s missing the three main components that make a star trek: homoeroticism, political commentary and silly costumes.

in fact none of the new treks have all three but snw has N O N E. and it’s just not appealing to me. there’s already plenty of pew pew scifi with zero chemistry hetero side plots. 🤷‍♀️
