It has a few different wheels available but the wire brush wheel is to me the best and most effective one. This is rough dawn maple. It is aged a lot so it looks almost like barn wood. It is very dirty. A little clean up makes the subsequent cuts and planing easier on blades and knives. Repost @oldsouthwoodcraft with After several months of taking up space in the shop I got around to cleaning up this old table saw. I taped off around the cast top before spraying a heavy coat of PB Blaster and let that soak in for a bit. Then I grabbed my Restorer with a paint stripper roller. It isn't an abrasive so much as a tougher version of scotch brite. It took some serious effort to get through the rust. After which I cleaned the oil and gunk of the top with lots of Simple Green and a scrubbing pad. Then I recleaned the top with more simple green and old rags. Before hitting the miter slots with a file and razor blade. Finally after cleaning the whole thing again I applied some paste wax.
